The fatty acid composition of foliar buds, young, mature, and senescent leaves, and stem parts of the rice-field weed, Ludwigia adscendens L. (Onagraceae) was analyzed by thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography flame ionization detection. The analysis of fatty acid composition revealed that saturated fatty acids (i.e., C14:0, C16:0, and C18:0) were prevailing compounds among the all weed parts except senescent leaves where C18:1 was predominant. The esterified fatty acids isolated from different weed parts over the range of 10–100 μg/ml followed by individual synthetic esterified fatty acids that were identified from the esterified extracts of different weed parts, and a mixture of synthetic esterified fatty acids except esterified eicosenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid were applied to identify their role as a chemical cue for a potential biocontrol agent, Altica cyanea (Weber) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in a Y-tube olfactometer under laboratory conditions. In this bioassay, the esterified fatty acids from mature leaves and stem parts of this weed attracted A. cyanea at 20–100 μg/ml and at 80 μg/ml concentrations, respectively. Clear attraction was recorded by female A. cyanea insects in the mixture of synthetic esterified fatty acids at 60, 80, and 100 μg/ml concentrations. It is thus concluded that A. cyanea rely on an effective proportion of esterified fatty acids as an olfactory cue for attraction.  相似文献

The aerial parts of Symphyopappus compressus afrorded three new kolavane derivatives and those of S. reticulatus ten diterpenes of this type, two of them esterified with long chain fatty acids. Furthermore, a dihydroxyphenylpropanol, also esterified with long chain fatty acids, was present in both species. The roots of S. reticulatus afforded a new tremetone derivative. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and some chemical transformations.  相似文献

Eicosapentaenoic and arachidonic acids in extracts of Phytophthora infestans mycelium were identified as the most active elicitors of sesquiterpenoid phytoalexin accumulation in potato tuber slices. These fatty acids were found free or esterified in all fractions with elicitor activity including cell wall preparations. Yeast lipase released a major portion of eicosapentaenoic and arachidonic acids from lyophilized mycelium. Concentration response curves comparing the elicitor activity of the polyunsaturated fatty acids to a cell-free sonicate of P. infestans mycelium indicated that the elicitor activity of the sonicated mycelium exceeded that which would be obtained by the amount of eicosapentaenoic and arachidonic acids (free and esterified) present in the mycelium. Upon acid hydrolysis of lyophilized mycelium, elicitor activity was obtained only from the fatty acid fraction. However, the fatty acids accounted for only 21% of the activity of the unhydrolyzed mycelium and the residue did not enhance their activity. Centrifugation of the hydrolysate, obtained from lyophilized mycelium treated with 2n NaOH, 1 molarity NaBH4 at 100°C, yielded a supernatant fraction with little or no elicitor activity. Addition of this material to the fatty acids restored the activity to that which was present in the unhydrolyzed mycelium. The results indicate that the elicitor activity of the unsaturated fatty acids is enhanced by heat and base-stable factors in the mycelium.  相似文献

The mature winter leaves of Pilosella officinarum coll. Schultz and Schultz contained 29 mg esterified triterpenoid alcohols (g dry weight)−1, of which over 80% was esterified with long-chain (C16-C18) fatty acids. The major fatty acids were 16:0, 18:2ω6 and 18:3ω3 and their amounts varied according to the season and stage of leaf development. In mature leaves the amount of triterpenoid alcohols esterified with long-chain fatty acids varied only slightly with the season. The changes in the fatty acid proportions in late winter-early spring, however, indicated a turnover in the esterified triterpenoid alcohol pool. In late winter after the snow had melted a 50% decrease occurred in the amount of triterpenoid alcohols esterified with short-chain fatty acids. The amount of esterified triterpenoid alcohols in immature leaves was relatively low [4 mg (g dry weight)−1].
In the mature leaves esterified triterpenoid alcohols were found in globules whose appearance varied greatly according to the season. The globules were partly dissolved in late winter, and this together with the activation of respiration, suggests that the globules function as short-term energy reservoirs. Relationships between the appearance of lipid globules and the amount of esterified triterpenoid alcohols are discussed.  相似文献

Chloroplast lamellae of eastern white pine (Pinus strobus L.) were analyzed to determine changes in total glycerolipids, component glycerolipids, and glycerolipid fatty acids during the onset of winter hardiness. Samples were collected in September, November, and December when the average daily temperature varied between 23 and −10 C. Before November 2, phospholipids decreased 40 to 85%, glycolipids only 30%. Analysis of individual glycerolipids showed that glycerolipids containing 18:3 fatty acid were retained at the expense of glycerolipids esterified with saturated (16:0 and 18:0) and monounsaturated (18:1) fatty acids.  相似文献

Analysis of fatty acids from the cyanobacterium Cyanothece sp. PCC 8801 revealed that this species contained high levels of myristic acid (14:0) and linoleic acid in its glycerolipids, with minor contributions from palmitic acid (16:0), stearic acid, and oleic acid. The level of 14:0 relative to total fatty acids reached nearly 50%. This 14:0 fatty acid was esterified primarily to the sn-2 position of the glycerol moiety of glycerolipids. This characteristic is unique because, in most of the cyanobacterial strains, the sn-2 position is esterified exclusively with C16 fatty acids, generally 16:0. Transformation of Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 with the PCC8801_1274 gene for lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase (1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase) from Cyanothece sp. PCC 8801 increased the level of 14:0 from 2% to 17% in total lipids and the increase in the 14:0 content was observed in all lipid classes. These findings suggest that the high content of 14:0 in Cyanothece sp. PCC 8801 might be a result of the high specificity of this acyltransferase toward the 14:0-acyl-carrier protein.  相似文献

Unnatural glycolipids possessing the diyne moiety in their acyl groups were successfully biosynthesized in the green sulfur photosynthetic bacterium Chlorobaculum (Cba.) tepidum by cultivation with supplementation of 10,12-heptadecadiynic acid. Monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) and rhamnosylgalactosyldiacylglycerol (RGDG) esterified with one 10,12-heptadecadiynic acid were primarily formed in the cells, and small amounts of glycolipids esterified with the two unnatural fatty acids can also be detected. The relative ratio of these unnatural glycolipids occupied in the total glycolipids was estimated to be 49% based on HPLC analysis using a evaporative light scattering detector. These results indicate that the acyl groups in glycolipids, which play important roles in the formation of extramembranous antenna complexes called chlorosomes, can be modified in vivo by cultivation of green sulfur photosynthetic bacteria with exogenous synthetic fatty acids. Visible absorption and circular dichroism spectra of Cba. tepidum containing the unnatural glycolipids demonstrated the formation of chlorosomes, indicating that the unnatural glycolipids in this study did not interfere with the biogenesis of chlorosomes.  相似文献

Mycelial lipids of the submerged culture ofOudemansiella mucida contain acylglycerols, free and esterified sterols. Free fatty acids are not present. Development of the culture is associated with an increased content of unsaturated fatty acids and, on the contrary, with a decreased content of saturated fatty acids. We have assessed that nuclear lipids from rat kidney cells are not only membrane components, but they are also found within the nucleus. The most abundant nuclear and endonuclear lipids have a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids (n-6 series: arachidonic > linoleic), mainly esterified to PtdCho. Nuclear most abundant molecular species are 16:0–20:4, 16:0–18:2, 18:0–20:4, 18:0–18:2, and 16:0–18:1. Arachidonic acid is esterified at the sn-2 position of PtdCho: 16:0–20:4(25%), 18:0–20:4(15%), 18:2–20:4(3%), 18:1–20:4(2%). Exogenous [1-14C]20:4n-6-CoA is esterified in vitro in GP (glycerophospholipids) > > TAG and DAG. Five PtdCho molecular species were labeled: 16:0–20:4, 18:0–20:4, 18:1–20:4, 18:2–20:4, and 20:4–20:4. In conclusion, these results demonstrated that: (1) there is an important lipid pool within kidney cell nuclei; (2) main nuclear and endonuclear lipid pools were PtdCho molecular species which contained a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids (20:4n-6 and 18:2n-6) esterified at sn-2 position and 16:0 esterified at sn-1 position; (3) kidney cell nuclei also contained the necessary enzymes to esterify exogenous 20:4n-6-CoA to glycerolipids and to GP; (4) exogenous 20:4n-6-CoA was esterified in five PtdCho molecular species with 20:4n-6 at the sn-2 position, although the most actively synthesized PtdCho contained 20:4n-6 at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions of the molecule; (5) we can infer that by a remodeling process, the unsaturated fatty acids at the sn-1 position of PtdCho molecular species could be replaced by 16:0 and 18:0, and thus PtdCho would achieve the physiological profile characteristic of the organ.  相似文献

Isolation of glycolipids from Nocardia asteroides, N. farcinica, Gordona lentifragmenta and G. bronchialis, by column chromatography of lipid extracts on a 50% (w/w) mixture of silicic acid and silica gel H, is described. The isolated materials were partially characterized by infrared spectroscopy, optical rotation and refractive index measurements, and by identifying the products of alkaline hydrolysis. Analytical studies showed that the glycolipids released only trehalose in the aqueous phase while mycolic acids were the constituent fatty acids identified.The isolated lipids are trehalose esters in which the trehalose molecule is esterified with mycolic acids.  相似文献

The fatty acid content and composition of the house cricket Acheta domesticus have been investigated in entire insects at different developmental stages and in selected organs of male and female adults. We have also determined the fatty acid composition of the various lipid classes within extracts of the organs of adult female insects. Fatty acids were analysed by capillary gas chromatography or mass spectrometry as their methyl esters (FAMEs) after direct transesterification of insect material or separated lipid classes.The major esterified fatty acids in all extracts were palmitate (C16:0), stearate (C18:0), oleate (C18:1) and linoleate (C18:2). Levels of esterified fatty acid varied considerably between organs but the fatty acid compositions showed only small variations. The levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids of the C18 series were considerably higher in phospholipid fractions than in other lipid classes. Triacylglycerols formed the major lipid class in ovaries, fat-body and newly-laid eggs, whereas diacylglycerols and phospholipid predominate in the haemolymph. Triacylglycerols, phospholipids, diacylglycerols and free fatty acids were all found in significant amounts in the gut tissue.  相似文献

The total lipids of Pinus halepensis pollen were separated into individual classes of neutral and polar lipids and the components of each class were identified and determined quantitatively. Free fatty acids, waxes and triacylglycerols were found as the main constituents of neutral lipids and phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine of polar lipids. Glycerylether derivatives were detected in neutral and polar lipid fractions. Free and esterified volatile fatty acids were also found in pollen and its neutral lipid fraction.  相似文献

The composition of the sterols, sterol esters and fatty acids has been determined in 8-, 11- and 14-day cultures of three members of the Xanthophyceae, Botrydium granulatum, Tribonema aequale and Monodus subterraneus. The main sterols, whether esterified or unesterified, were cholesterol and clionasterol, whose proportions do not vary with age of culture. Much smaller quantities of cycloartenol and 24-methylenecycloartanol were also found in all three algae. The C16 fatty acids are the most common fatty acids in all three algae with C16:1 being particularly abundant. B. granulatum and T. aequale, however, differ from M. subterraneus in having polyunsaturated C16 fatty acids and a smaller proportion of C20:5.  相似文献

采用索氏提取法提取莱菔(Raphanussativus)种子中的脂肪酸成分,进行甲酯化处理后用气相色谱-质谱联用技术分离和鉴定脂肪酸成分的组成和含量。结果表明,从莱菔子中共分离鉴定出12种脂肪酸成分,占总量的99.32%,主要包括芥酸(32.47%)、油酸(29.07%)、亚油酸(9.45%)、亚麻酸(8.41%)、棕榈酸(4.31%)和硬脂酸(2.08%)等脂肪酸,其中饱和脂肪酸占9.25%,不饱和脂肪酸高达90.07%。  相似文献

Triglycerides, free fatty acids, free and esterified ergosterol, Q9, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylserine, lysophosphatidylethanolamine, and three different acylglycoses were identified in the soluble lipids of Sporendonema epizoum mycelium. The same compounds as well as a sterol glycoside were also found in conidia. The mycelium is richer than the conidia in phospholipids, Q9 and free and esterified ergosterol but contains less glycolipids. The most abundant fatty acid in all non-polar fractions is C18:2. The prevalent fatty acid of the phospholipids is C18:1, except for conidial phosphatidylethanolamine and mycelial lysophosphatidylethanolamine.  相似文献

The effects of inclusion of different fatty acids in the medium on the rate of esterification of palmitic acid and its stereospecific distribution among the three positions of the triacyl-sn-glycerols by preparations of rat adipocytes in vitro have been determined. Myristic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid were used as diluents and the concentration of the combined unesterified fatty acids in the medium was held constant; only the proportion of palmitic acid was varied. The amount of palmitic acid esterified was always linearly related to its relative concentration in the medium and was not significantly affected by the nature of the diluent fatty acid chosen. Constant relative proportions were recovered in triacylglycerols and in intermediates in each instance. The amount of palmitic acid esterified to each of the positions of the triacyl-sn-glycerols was linearly dependent on the relative proportion in the medium but the nature of the relationship was markedly influenced by which fatty acid was present. When stearic acid was present, simple relationships were found over the whole range tested. When either myristic acid, oleic acid or linoleic acid was present, abrupt changes in the manner of esterification of palmitic acid were observed in position sn-1 when the relative concentrations of palmitic acid and the diluent reached critical values, which differed with each fatty acid. In position sn-2 when oleic acid or linoleic acid was present, a similar change was observed, and in position sn-3 it was obtained with myristic acid as diluent. The results are discussed in terms of changes in the relative affinities of the acyltransferases for palmitic acid. Palmitic acid was esterified into various molecular species in proportions that indicated acylation with non-correlative specificity at higher relative concentrations but not at lower.  相似文献

A detailed chemical analysis of the benzene extract of western white pine bark was conducted. The extract consisted of 13% phlobaphenes, 18% strong acids, 21% polar weak acids, 6.5% fatty acids, 9.5% resin acids, and 32% neutrals. The fatty acids consisted mainly of C20:0, C22:0, and C24:0 acids. The resin acids were identified as: isopimaric, anticopalic, dehydroabietic, sandaracopimaric, abietic, 6,8,11,13-abietatetraen-18-oic and pimaric acids. The neutrals on saponification gave fatty acids, sterols, wax alcohols, nonsaponifiables, and other components. The esterified fatty acids consisted primarily of the C16:0, C18:0, C20:0 and C24:0 acids. The sterols included major amounts of sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol, and traces of cholesterol. Over 70 individual compounds were isolated and identified from the nonsaponifiables. These included borneol, sesquiterpenes, diterpenes, steroidal ketones, as well as lanostane and serratane triterpenes. The characterization of12 new natural products or natural products isolated for the first time from Pinus species is reported.  相似文献

Recently, microalgae have gained a lot of attention because of their ability to produce fatty acids in their surrounding environments. The present paper describes the influence of organic carbon on the different fatty acid pools including esterified fatty acids, intracellular free fatty acids and extracellular free fatty acids in Ochromonas danica. It also throws light on the ability of O. danica to secrete free fatty acids in the growth medium under photoautotrophic and mixotrophic conditions. Biomass production of photoautotrophically grown O. danica was higher than that of mixotrophically grown, where a cellular biomass formation of 1.8 g L?1 was observed under photoautotrophic condition which was about five folds higher than that under mixotrophic conditions. Contrary, the esterified fatty acid content reached up to 99 mg g?1 CDW under photoautotrophic conditions at the late exponential phase, while during mixotrophic conditions a maximum of 212 mg g?1 CDW was observed at the stationary phase. Furthermore, O. danica cells grown under mixotrophic conditions showed higher intracellular free fatty acid and extracellular free fatty acid contents (up to 51 and 20 mg g?1 CDW, respectively) than cells grown under photoautotrophic conditions (up to 26 and 4 mg g?1 CDW, respectively). The intra- and extracellular free fatty acids consisted of a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids, mainly C18:2n?6, C18:3n?3 and C20:4n?6.  相似文献
