Summary. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. It is an important fuel for some key cells of the immune system. Both the plasma concentration of glutamine and the functional ability of immune cells in the blood are decreased after prolonged, exhaustive exercise. Glutamine feeding has had beneficial effects in clinical situations, and the provision of glutamine after intensive exercise has decreased the incidence of infections, particularly of upper respiratory tract infections. However, the precise effect of glutamine on immunodepression in this situation is not yet established. Received January 2, 2000 / Accepted February 1, 2000  相似文献

Postexercise immune impairment has been linked to exercise-induced decrease in plasma glutamine concentration. This study examined the possibility of abolishing the exercise-induced decrease in salivary IgA through glutamine supplementation during and after intense exercise. Eleven athletes performed cycle ergometer exercise for 2 h at 75% of maximal oxygen uptake on 3 separate days. Glutamine (a total of 17.5 g), protein (a total of 68.5 g/6.2 g protein-bound glutamine), and placebo supplements were given during and up to 2 h after exercise. Unstimulated, timed saliva samples were obtained before exercise and 20 min, 140 min, 4 h, and 22 h postexercise. The exercise protocol induced a decrease in salivary IgA (IgA concentration, IgA output, and IgA relative to total protein). The plasma concentration of glutamine was decreased by 15% 2 h postexercise in the placebo group, whereas this decline was abolished by both glutamine and protein supplements. None of the supplements, however, was able to abolish the decline in salivary IgA. This study does not support that postexercise decrease in salivary IgA is related to plasma glutamine concentrations.  相似文献

Lymphocyte apoptosis after exhaustive and moderate exercise.   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11
Apoptosis or programmed cell death is a process of fundamental importance for regulation of the immune response. Several reasons suggest that apoptosis is involved in exercise-induced alterations of the immune system such as postexercise lymphocytopenia. Healthy volunteers performed two treadmill exercise tests; the first was performed at 80% maximal oxygen uptake until exhaustion (exhaustive exercise) and the second 2 wk later at 60% maximal oxygen uptake with the identical running time (moderate exercise). Blood samples were taken before, immediately after, and 1 h after the test. Lymphocytes were analyzed for apoptotic and necrotic cells by using FITC-labeled annexin V-antibodies and nuclear propidium iodide uptake, respectively. In addition, apoptotic/necrotic cells were measured after a 24-h incubation of lymphocytes in the presence of camptothecin or phytohemagglutinin. Finally, plasma membrane expression of CD95-receptor and CD95-receptor ligand was investigated. Immediately after the exhaustive exercise, the percentage of apoptotic cells increased significantly, whereas it remained unchanged after the moderate exercise. Similar results were obtained after 24-h incubation of lymphocytes in medium alone or in the presence of camptothecin, but not with phytohemagglutinin. We found an upregulation of CD95-receptor expression after both exercise tests. However, only after exhaustive exercise a characteristic shift in CD95 expression profile toward cells with a high receptor density was observed. Expression of the CD95-receptor ligand remained unchanged after both exhaustive and moderate exercise. These results suggest that apoptosis may contribute to the regulation of the immune response after exhaustive exercise. Whether this mechanism can be regarded either as beneficial, i.e., deletion of autoreactive cells, or harmful, i.e., suppression of the immune response, awaits further investigations.  相似文献

Transitory immunosupression is reported after intense exercise, especially after an increase in training overload and in overtraining. The influence of intense exercise on plasma hormones and glutamine concentration may contribute to this effect. However, the effect of such exercise-induced changes upon lymphocyte and glutamine metabolism is not known. We compared glutamine metabolism in lymphocytes in sedentary (SED) and trained rats. Rats from the moderate group (MOD) swam for 6 weeks, 1 h/day, in water at 32+/-1 degrees C, with a load of 5.5% body weight attached to the tail. Animals from the exhaustive group (EXT) trained like MOD, with training increasing to 3 times 1 h a day during the last week, with 150 min rest between each bout. Animals were killed immediately after the last training bout. We observed reduced concentrations of plasma glucose (p<0.05), glutamine (p<0.05), glutamate (p<0.05) in EXT compared to SED. In MOD, decreases in glutamine (p<0.05) were observed. Analyzing lymphocyte metabolism, we observed an increase in lactate production and glutamine consumption (p<0.05) in MOD (p<0.05) compared to SED and a decrease in glutamine consumption (p<0.05) and aspartate production in EXT. An increase in the proliferative response of lymphocytes in MOD and EXT was also observed when stimulated by ConA and LPS similarly to SED. Acute exercise promoted decreased glutamine plasma concentration and changes in glutamine metabolism that did not impair lymphocyte proliferation in exhaustive trained rats.  相似文献

In vitro lymphocyte function and the mobilisation of peripheral blood leucocytes was examined in eight trained subjects who undertook an incremental exercise test to exhaustion and a series of interval training sessions. Venous blood samples were obtained before the incremental test, immediately after, and 30, 60, and 120 min after the test. Interval training sessions were undertaken on separate days and the exercise intensities for each of the different sessions were 30%, 60%, 90% and 120% of their maximal work capacity respectively, as determined from the incremental exercise test. There were 15 exercise periods of 1-min duration separated by recovery intervals of 2 min in each session. Venous blood samples were obtained immediately after each training session. Significant increases in lymphocyte subpopulations (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD20+, and CD56+) occurred following both maximal and supramaximal exercise. This was accompanied by a significant decrease in the response of cultures of peripheral blood lymphocytes to Concanavalin A (ConA), a T-cell mitogen. The state of lymphocyte activation in vivo as measured by CD25+ surface antigen was not, however, affected by acute exercise. The total number of lymphocytes, distribution of lymphocyte subpopulations and in vitro lymphocyte response to ConA had returned to pre-exercise levels within half an hour of termination of exercise but serum cortisol concentrations had not begun to fall at this time. There was a significant decrease in the CD4+:CD8+ cell ratio following exercise; this was more the result of increases in CD3-CD8+ cells (CD8+ natural killer cells) than to CD3+CD8+ cells (CD8+ T-lymphocytes). Decreased responsiveness of T-cells to T-cell mitogens, postexercise, may have been the result of decreases in the percentage of T-cells in postexercise mixed lymphocyte cultures rather than depressed cell function. The cause of this was an increase in the percentage of natural killer cells which did not respond to the T-cell mitogen. The results indicated that while a substantial immediate in vitro "immunomodulation" occurred with acute exercise, this did not reflect an immunosuppression but was rather the result of changes in the proportions of reactive cells in mononuclear cell cultures. We have also demonstrated that the degree of the change in distribution of lymphocyte subpopulation numbers and responsiveness of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in in vitro mitogen reactions increased with increasing exercise intensity. Plasma volume changes may have contributed to some of the changes seen in leucocyte population and subpopulation numbers during and following exercise.  相似文献

Regular moderate exercise may modulate the response to a stressor and thus improve immune functions in conditions commonly associated with immunodepression and elevated levels of stress hormones. For example, anorexia nervosa patients, many of whom engage in regular aerobic exercise, generally have normal immune function and viral disease resistance in spite of their severe undernutrition. To test the hypothesis that exercise can prevent undernutrition-induced immunodepression, mice were fed a nutritionally complete, semi-purified diet, either ad libitum or in restricted quantities to induce 25% loss of initial weight over 3 weeks. Half the animals from each dietary group were run on a treadmill for 30 min/day, 5 days/week. Exercise had no effect on several measures of nutritional status. Spleen weight and blastogenic response to lipopolysaccharide were significantly increased by exercise in undernourished mice. In vivo antibody response to sheep red blood cells, and in vitro splenic responses to concanavalin A and phytohemagglutin were not significantly affected by exercise. Serum corticosterone level was increased by food restriction and significantly decreased by exercise in the undernourished mice. Within a treatment group there were no significant correlations between serum corticosterone level and any immune system measure. Hypothalamic concentration of uric acid was increased in food restriction groups and concentration of norepinephrine was increased in exercise groups. The results suggest that regular exercise may help prevent undernutrition-induced immunodepression, possibly through modulation of the stress response.  相似文献

We investigated the influence of a single exhaustive bout of downhill running on oxidative damage to DNA and changes of antioxidant vitamin concentrations in rats. Plasma vitamin E levels were unchanged up to 48 hr postexercise. However, plasma ascorbic acid (AA) levels increased after the exercise, then decreased thereafter. This increase corresponded to a marked decrease in AA concentration in the adrenal glands. The activity of hepatic l-gulono-gamma-lactone oxidase, which catalyzes AA synthesis, was unaltered after the exercise. The weight of the adrenal glands was significantly increased 24 hr postexercise. These results indicate that the change in the plasma AA concentration after vigorous exercise was due mainly to the release of AA from the adrenal glands. The plasma creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activity and white blood cell (WBC) count increased 3 to 6 hr postexercise. Over this same period, a marker of oxidative DNA damage, 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine in DNA, increased in the WBC, but not in the foreleg muscle. Lipid peroxide and vitamin E levels were also unchanged in the foreleg muscle. There was a positive correlation between CPK activity in the plasma and DNA damage in the WBC, suggesting that the DNA damage in the WBC was closely related with muscle damage due to exercise.  相似文献

This research examined the influence of acute changes of water temperature on the recovery processes following exhaustive exercise in juvenile Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar). White muscle phosphocreatine (PCr), ATP, lactate, glycogen, glucose, pyruvate, plasma lactate, and plasma osmolality were measured during rest and at 0, 1, 2, and 4 h following exhaustive exercise in fish acclimated and exercised at 12 degrees C and acutely exposed to either 6 degrees C or 18 degrees C water during recovery. An acute exposure to 6 degrees C water during the recovery period resulted in a severe reduction of metabolic recovery in salmon. However, metabolites such as muscle PCr and ATP and plasma lactate recovered very quickly (2-4 h) in fish acutely exposed to 18 degrees C during recovery. Overall, differences exist when postexercise metabolite levels are compared between acclimated fish and those fish acutely exposed to different water temperatures (either higher or lower). Taken together, the findings of the acute experiments suggest that at some point following exercise fish may seek warmer environments to speed the recovery process. However, the relationship between behavioural thermoregulation and recovery following exhaustive exercise in fish is not well understood.  相似文献

Reactive oxygen species produced during vigorous exercise may permeate into cell nuclei and induce oxidative DNA damage, but the supporting evidence is still lacking. By using a 42 km marathon race as a model of massive aerobic exercise, we demonstrated a significant degree of unrepaired DNA base oxidation in peripheral immunocompetent cells, despite a concurrent increase in the urinary excretion of 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine. Single cell gel electrophoresis with the incorporation of lesion-specific endonucleases further revealed that oxidized pyrimidines (endonuclease III-sensitive sites) contributed to most of the postexercise nucleotide oxidation. The oxidative DNA damage correlated significantly with plasma levels of creatinine kinase and lipid peroxidation metabolites, and lasted for more than 1 week following the race. This phenomenon may be one of the mechanisms behind the immune dysfunctions after exhaustive exercise.  相似文献

The provision of glutamine in vivo has been observed to reduce to normal levels the neutrophilia observed after exhaustive exercise and to decrease the neutrophil chemoattractant, interleukin-8. Thus, the role for glutamine in the regulation of inflammatory mediators of human neutrophil activation was investigated. The study sought to establish whether glutamine supplementation in vitro affects neutrophil function at rest and whether glutaminase, the major enzyme that metabolizes glutamine, is present in human polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN). During in vitro studies, the addition of 2 mm glutamine increased the respiratory burst of human PMN stimulated with both phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) and formyl-methionyl-leucyl-phenylalanine. These observations were made using a highly sensitive, real time chemiluminescent probe, Pholasin. Glutamine alone did not stimulate the release of reactive oxygen species. In a novel finding using glutaminase-specific antibodies in combination with flow cytometry and confocal microscopy, glutaminase was shown to be present on the surface of human PMN. Subcellular fractionation revealed that the enzyme was enriched in the secondary granules and could be released into cell culture medium upon stimulation with PMA. In conclusion, human PMN appeared to utilize glutamine and possess the appropriate glutaminase enzyme for metabolizing glutamine. This may depress some pro-inflammatory factors that occur during prolonged, exhaustive exercise.  相似文献

To investigate the effect of intense exercise on immune function, 12 healthy males (26 +/- 1 yr) underwent cycle exercise to exhaustion at 80% maximum work load. One hour later, six of the subjects underwent a second identical bout. Blood was drawn preexercise (C), at exhaustion (Ex-1, Ex-2), and at 1 h of recovery (Rec-1, Rec-2). At Ex-1 and Ex-2, total leukocytes (monocytes, neutrophils, and lymphocytes) increased significantly (P less than 0.05), and all returned to C levels by Rec-1 except lymphocytes, which were lower than at C. At Rec-2 total leukocytes remained higher (P less than 0.05) than at C, primarily because of elevated neutrophil counts. Phenotype analysis indicated a 2.5-fold increase in CD16+ (natural killer) cells at Ex-1 and a decrease primarily in CD4+ (T-helper) cells. All phenotype changes returned to C levels at Rec-1. At Ex-1 the in vitro mitogenic response to concanavalin A, phorbol myristate acetate + ionomycin, phytohemagglutinin, and pokeweed mitogen decreased (P less than 0.05) but returned to levels not different from C at Rec-1. Both the in vitro percent specific lysis of a target natural killer cell (K562) and the lytic activity per cell increased (P less than 0.05) in peripheral mononuclear cells at Ex-1, returning to C levels at Rec-1. The total leukocyte counts with exercise were significantly correlated with plasma epinephrine concentration, and a causal effect is thus possible. Such acute changes in numbers and function of circulating cells of the immune system may possibly have functional and clinical correlates.  相似文献

The interaction of glutamine availability and glucose homeostasis during and after exercise was investigated, measuring whole body glucose kinetics with [3-3H]glucose and net organ balances of glucose and amino acids (AA) during basal, exercise, and postexercise hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp periods in six multicatheterized dogs. Dogs were studied twice in random treatment order: once with glutamine (12 micromol.kg(-1).min(-1); Gln) and once with saline (Con) infused intravenously during and after exercise. Plasma glucose fell by 7 mg/dl with exercise in Con (P < 0.05), but it did not fall with Gln. Gln further stimulated whole body glucose production and utilization an additional 24% above a normal exercise response (P < 0.05). Net hepatic uptake of glutamine and alanine was greater with Gln than Con during exercise (P < 0.05). Net hepatic glucose output was increased sevenfold during exercise with Gln (P < 0.05) but not with Con. Net hindlimb glucose uptake was increased similarly during exercise in both groups (P < 0.05). During the postexercise hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic period, glucose production decreased to near zero with Con, but it did not decrease below basal levels with Gln. Gln increased glucose utilization by 16% compared with Con after exercise (P < 0.05). Furthermore, net hindlimb glucose uptake in the postexercise period was increased approximately twofold vs. basal with Gln (P < 0.05) but not with Con. Net hepatic uptake of glutamine during the postexercise period was threefold greater for Gln than Con (P < 0.05). In conclusion, glutamine availability modulates glucose homeostasis during and after exercise, which may have implications for postexercise recovery.  相似文献

Chronic physical exercise with adequate intensity and volume associated with sufficient recovery promotes adaptations in several physiological systems. While intense and exhaustive exercise is considered an important immunosuppressor agent and increases the incidence of upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), moderate regular exercise has been associated with significant disease protection and is a complementary treatment of many chronic diseases. The effects of chronic exercise occur because physical training can induce several physiological, biochemical and psychological adaptations. More recently, the effect of acute exercise and training on the immunological system has been discussed, and many studies suggest the importance of the immune system in prevention and partial recovery in pathophysiological situations. Currently, there are two important hypotheses that may explain the effects of exercise and training on the immune system. These hypotheses including (1) the effect of exercise upon hormones and cytokines (2) because exercise can modulate glutamine concentration. In this review, we discuss the hypothesis that exercise may modulate immune functions and the importance of exercise immunology in respect to chronic illnesses, chronic heart failure, malnutrition and inflammation.  相似文献

Effects of eccentric exercise on the immune system in men   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The effects of eccentric exercise on changes innumbers of circulating leukocytes, cell activation, cell adhesion, andcellular memory function were investigated in 12 men, aged 22-35yr. The immunologic effects of postexercise epidermal treatment withmonochromatic, infrared light were also evaluated. Blood was drawnbefore and 6, 24, and 48 h after exercise for phenotyping and analysisof creatine kinase activity. There was an increase in leukocyte, monocyte, and neutrophil number, no change in the number of basophils, eosinophils, B cells, and T cells, and a decrease in natural killer cell number postexercise. Some markers of lymphocyte and monocyte activation remained unchanged or decreased, whereas the expression ofadhesion molecules 62L and 11b increased on monocytes. It is concludedthat eccentric exercise induced decreased activation, and increasedcell adhesion capacity, of monocytes. Altered trafficking of cellsbetween lymphoid tissue and blood, selective apoptosis, orattachment/detachment from the endothelial wall can explain theobserved phenotypic changes. Treatment with monochromatic, infraredlight did not significantly affect any of the investigated variables.Correlations between immunologic and physiological parameters indicatea role of the immune system in adaptation to physical exercise.  相似文献

Glutamine and the immune system   总被引:24,自引:0,他引:24

Summary Glutamine is utilised at a high rate by cells of the immune system in culture and is required to support optimal lymphocyte proliferation and production of cytokines by lymphocytes and macrophages. Macrophage-mediated phagocytosis is influenced by glutamine availability. Hydrolysable glutamine dipeptides can substitute for glutamine to support in vitro lymphocyte and macrophage functions. In man plasma and skeletal muscle glutamine levels are lowered by sepsis, injury, burns, surgery and endurance exercise and in the overtrained athlete. The lowered plasma glutamine concentrations are most likely the result of demand for glutaminne (by the liver, kidney, gut and immune system) exceeding the supply (from the diet and from muscle). It has been suggested that the lowered plasma glutamine concentration contributes, at least in part, to the immunosuppression which accompanies such situations. Animal studies have shown that inclusion of glutamine in the diet increases survival to a bacterial challenge. Glutamine or its precursors has been provided, usually by the parenteral route, to patients following surgery, radiation treatment or bone marrow transplantation or suffering from injury. In most cases the intention was not to stimulate the immune system but rather to maintain nitrogen balance, muscle mass and/or gut integrity. Nevertheless, the maintenance of plasma glutamine concentrations in such a group of patients very much at risk of immunosuppression has the added benefit of maintaining immune function. Indeed, the provision of glutamine to patients following bone marrow transplantation resulted in a lower level of infection and a shorter stay in hospital than for patients receiving glutamine-free parenteral nutrition.  相似文献

Exercise increases serum Hsp72 in humans   总被引:12,自引:3,他引:9       下载免费PDF全文
Recent evidence suggests that heat shock proteins (Hsps) may have an important systemic role as a signal to activate the immune system. Since acute exercise is known to induce Hsp72 (the inducible form of the 70-kDa family of Hsp) in a variety of tissues including contracting skeletal muscle, we hypothesized that such exercise would result in the release of Hsp72 from stressed cells into the blood. Six humans (5 males, 1 female) ran on a treadmill for 60 minutes at a workload corresponding to 70% of their peak oxygen consumption. Blood was sampled from a forearm vein at rest (R), 30 minutes during exercise, immediately postexercise (60 minutes), and 2, 8, and 24 hours after exercise. These samples were analyzed for serum Hsp72 protein. In addition, plasma creatine kinase (CK) was measured at these time points as a crude marker of muscle damage. With the exception of the sample collected at 30 minutes, muscle biopsies (n = 5 males) were also obtained from the vastus lateralis at the time of blood sampling and analyzed for Hsp72 gene and protein expression. Serum Hsp72 protein increased from rest, both during and after exercise (0.13 0.10 vs 0.87+/-0.24 and 1.02+/-0.41 ng/mL at rest, 30 and 60 minutes, respectively, P < 0.05, mean SE). In addition, plasma CK was elevated (P < 0.05) 8 hours postexercise. Skeletal muscle Hsp72 mRNA expression increased 6.5-fold (P < 0.05) from rest 2 hours postexercise, and although there was a tendency for Hsp72 protein expression to be elevated 2 and 8 hours following exercise compared with rest, results were not statistically significant. The increase in serum Hsp72 preceded any increase in Hsp72 gene or protein expression in contracting muscle, suggesting that Hsp72 was released from other tissues or organs. This study is the first to demonstrate that acute exercise can increase Hsp72 in the peripheral circulation, suggesting that during stress these proteins may indeed have a systemic role.  相似文献

The effect of tumour bearing on skeletal muscle glutamine metabolism.   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
1. The effects of tumour bearing on glutamine metabolism in rat skeletal muscle were examined using the Walker 256 carcinosarcoma. 2. There was a rapid and marked decrease in skeletal muscle glutamine content, which was correlated with the size of the tumour, and a decrease in plasma glutamine concentration. 3. The rate of release of glutamine from EDL muscle in vitro was increased in cachectic, tumour bearing animals, but was unaffected from the soleus muscle of the same animals. 4. It is hypothesized that the increase in the rate of muscle glutamine release during cachexia represents a response of this tissue in order to satisfy the demand for glutamine by the tumour or by cells of the immune system.  相似文献

Glutamine is an essential substrate for the proper functioning of cells of the immune system. Falls in plasma glutamine concentration after exercise may have deleterious consequences for immune cell function and render the individual more susceptible to infection. The purpose of the present study was to examine changes in plasma glutamine concentration (measured using a validated enzymatic spectrophotometric method) following an acute bout of intermittent high-intensity exercise. Eight well-trained male games players took part in the study. Subjects reported to the laboratory following an overnight fast and performed a 1-h cycle exercise task consisting of 20 1-min periods at 100% maximal O2 consumption (O2max) each separated by 2 min of recovery at 30% O2max. Venous blood samples were taken before exercise and at 5 min, 1 h, 2.5 h, 5 h and 24 h post-exercise. Glutamine was measured by enzymatic spectrophotometric determination of the ammonia concentration before and after treatment of the plasma with glutaminase (EC 3.5.1.2). Plasma glutamine concentration did not fall in the immediate post-exercise period [pre-exercise 681 (23) μM compared with 663 (46) μM at 5 min post-exercise, mean (SEM)], but fell to 572 (35) μM at 5 h post-exercise (P < 0.05 compared with pre-exercise). Plasma lactate concentration rose to 8.8 (1.0) mM at the end of exercise and fell to 1.8 (0.4) mM at 1 h post-exercise, but plasma concentrations of free fatty acids and β-hydroxybutyrate both rose substantially in the post-exercise period (to 240% and 400% of pre-exercise levels, respectively). The circulating leucocyte count increased significantly during exercise (P < 0.01), continued to increase in the hours following exercise and peaked at 2.5 h post-exercise (mainly due to a neutrophilia). The fall in the plasma glutamine concentration at 5 h post-exercise could be due to increased renal uptake of glutamine, which generally occurs in conditions of metabolic acidosis or due to a greater removal of glutamine from the plasma resulting from the elevated circulating leucocyte count. Exercise stress and murine natural killer cell function   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Male C3He mice were trained to run on a treadmill (final speed, slope, and duration of 30 m/min, 8 degrees, 30 min/day, 5 days/week, respectively) for 10 weeks or they remained sedentary. At the end of the training program, half of the mice were sacrificed and half were given a single bout of exercise to exhaustion (50% stepwise increases in final running speed for 2-min intervals). Splenic catecholamine concentrations, splenic natural killer cell cytolytic activity against YAC-1 tumor targets, and frequency of asialo GM1 (a murine natural killer cell surface glycolipid)-positive splenocytes were assessed. Exhaustive exercise in both trained and untrained mice reduced the in vitro killing of tumor targets by splenic natural killer cells relative to killing by splenocytes from mice which did not undergo the acute exercise bout (P less than 0.05). The frequency of asialo GM1-positive splenocytes was also reduced in the exhaustively exercised animals (P less than 0.05). Training alone, without the additional stress of exhaustive exercise, reduced the frequency of asialo GM1-positive splenocytes relative to a sedentary condition (P less than 0.05), but did not compromise natural killer cell cytolytic activity against the tumor targets. Splenic epinephrine concentrations in the exhaustively exercised animals were elevated 3- to 5-fold above the concentrations observed in trained and sedentary mice. These results suggest that a single, acute exercise bout reduces the capacity of splenic natural killer cells to kill tumor targets in vitro and that training enhances splenic natural killer cell cytolytic activity, on a per cell basis, against tumor targets.  相似文献

Blood glucose, plasma insulin and C-peptide responses to oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) were studied under basal conditions and immediately after 90-min exercise (60% VO2 max) in nondiabetic subjects with normal or impaired glucose tolerance. During the postexercise recovery blood glucose response to OGTT was increased in normal subjects and markedly decreased in those with impaired glucose tolerance, while insulin and C-peptide responses were diminished in both subgroups. The ratio of blood glucose to insulin was similarly elevated in all subjects. Comparing with basal conditions no significant changes were found in C-peptide to insulin ratio in response to OGTT after exercise, although a tendency towards an elevation of this ratio was noted in the subjects with impaired glucose tolerance. The data indicate that the reduced insulin response to OGTT during postexercise recovery in healthy subjects is due to diminished insulin secretion without any substantial changes in the hormone removal from blood, whereas in the glucose intolerant men the latter process may be enhanced.  相似文献
