Phylogenetic relationships of the species belonging to the genus Myxococcus were elucidated based on the sequences of 16S rRNA genes and 16S-23S rRNA gene internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions. The Myxococcus species were consequently classified into four distinct groups. The type strain of Myxococcus coralloides occupied an independent position (Group 1); it has been recently reclassified as Corallococcus coralloides. Group 2 comprised the type strains of both Myxococcus virescens and Myxococcus xanthus, and some strains assigned to Myxococcus flavescens. The type strain of M. flavescens was contained in Group 3 along with the strains of Myxococcus fulvus. Group 4 included the strains belonging to C. coralloides, M. fulvus, and M. stipitatus. The type strain of M. fulvus that was allocated outside Group 4 in the 16S rRNA gene tree belonged to Group 3 in the ITS tree. These results strongly suggest that the morphological characteristics of Myxococcus species are not consistent with the phylogenetic relationships. The Myxococcus species must therefore be redefined according to the phylogenetic relationships revealed in this study.  相似文献

A mesophilic, aerobic oxalic acid utilizing yellow-pigmented bacterium has been isolated from litter of oxalate producing plants in the region of Izmir (Turkey). It is motile by means of 1-3 polar flagella. Optimal growth occurred between 25-30 degrees C at pH 6.9. The G+C content of DNA is 62-64 mol % (Tm). Based on its morphological and biochemical features the organism belongs to the genus Pseudomonas, but differs from all the previously described species. The taxonomic relationships among strains described as or previously tentatively assigned to the genus Pseudomonas were investigated using numerical classification, DNA base composition and DNA-DNA hybridization. 16S rDNA sequences were determined for the strain TA17. On the basis of 16S rDNA sequence comparisons, physiological and biochemical characteristics, it is proposed to classify TA17T in a new genus and species for which the name Oxalicibacterium flavum gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is TA17T (= NEU98T, = LMG 21571T).  相似文献

A 16S rDNA sequence cloned directly from whole-gut microbiota of the American cockroach, Periplaneta americana, indicated the presence of a member of the Bacteroides/Flavobacterium group most closely related to the genus Flavobacterium. In an attempt to confirm this finding, we isolated a yellow-pigmented bacterium (strain FR2) from the hindgut of this insect. Strain FR2 was phylogentically and phenotypically most similar to species of Flavobacterium and related bacteria, namely Chryseobacterium indologenes. Fifty-four other yellow-pigmented bacteria isolated during a 1-year study shared the salient phenotypic characteristics of Chryseobacterium spp., and thus were considered the same phenotype. This phenotype's abundance was related to the fiber content of the insect diet, being consistently detected only in cockroaches fed a high-fiber diet (30% crude fiber by weight). The highest population density was in the hindgut, ranging from 2 x 10(6) to 1.2 x 10(7) colony forming units ml(-1) during a 1-year period. The nature of the symbiosis between the FR2 phenotype and P. americana is discussed.  相似文献

Ten species of non-pathogenic Neisseria were grown in simple defined liquid media containing amino acids, biotin, nicotinic acid, calcium pantothenate, ferrous sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and potassium phosphate. Two of these Neisseria were induced to grow with glutamic acid as the carbon and nitrogen source. The remaining eight Neisseria grew in glutamic acid medium supplemented with from one to four additional amino acids, lactate, or lactate and glucose. A strain of N. flavescens grew in the absence of added growth factors whereas the remaining nine species of Neisseria required either biotin or nicotinic acid; pantothenate was required by two and was stimulatory for three of these species. Use of carbohydrates by the non-pathogenic Neisseria in synthetic medium was tested. Two strains failed to use any of the 14 carbohydrates tested; one strain used only glucose; the remaining seven strains used fructose, glucose, maltose, and sucrose to varying degrees.  相似文献

Strain CH7T, a pale yellow-pigmented bacterium and new isolate from deep subsurface water of the South Coast of Korea, was subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. CH7T grew between 5 and 37 degrees C, pH 5.3-10.5, and tolerated up to 13% NaCl. A phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain CH7T was associated with the genus Arthrobacter and phylogenetically closely related to the type strains Arthrobacter tumbae (99.4%) and Arthrobacter parietis (99.1%). However, DNA-DNA hybridization experiments revealed 2.1% and 12% between strain CH7T and Arthrobacter tumbae and Arthrobacter parietis, respectively. Thus, the phenotypic and phylogenetic differences suggested that CH7T should be placed in the genus Arthrobacter as a novel species, for which the name Arthrobacter subterraneus sp. nov. is proposed. 鲈属鱼类的分类在学术界尚存在很多争议。本文通过鲈属鱼类32个多变量形态学参数和1134bp的线粒体DNA细胞色素b序列的比较,对鲈属鱼类分类问题做了探讨。结果显示河鲈和伊犁鲈之间的形态距离为0.15,黄金鲈和伊犁鲈为0.14,河鲈和黄金鲈为0.09,在形态上黄金鲈和河鲈较接近,而伊犁鲈与前两者差异明显;主成分2(16.09%)对主成分1(21.71%)作图结果显示黄金鲈和河鲈有重叠区,而伊犁鲈与其它二种鲈有较大差距;细胞色素b同源序列差异百分比为河鲈与伊犁鲈13.08%、黄金鲈与伊犁鲈10.68%、黄金鲈与河鲈11.47%,鲈属鱼类间的碱基差异属于种间的遗传差异。MP、NJ和ML三种系统发育树在河鲈、黄金鲈和伊犁鲈三个种或亚种之间的拓扑结构一致,显示黄金鲈与伊犁鲈的演化关系较河鲈为近。根据20个样本的细胞色素b基因序列的遗传差异和系统发育树以及地理分布上的繁殖隔离,我们进一步认定黄金鲈和河鲈是不同的种,鲈属鱼类包括伊犁鲈、河鲈和黄金鲈三个种。  相似文献

The richness, diversity, abundance and prevalence of mite species associated with sigmodontine rodents of different species in Entre Ríos province, Argentina are studied. Five of the six species of mites were reported for the first time in the study area. The richness and diversity of mites was higher on Oligoryzomys flavescens and O. delticola than on Akodon azarae. Androlaelaps rotundus was dominant and exhibited higher values of mean abundance and prevalence on A. azarae, Mysolaelaps microspinosus on O. flavescens and Gigantolaelaps mattogrossensis on O. delticola.  相似文献

A hitherto undescribed species of yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative Clostridium sp., possessing nitrogenase activity, has been isolated from a number of sampling sites on the Truelove Lowland of Devon Island in the Canadian high Arctic. This bacterium, tentatively designated Clostridium arcticum sp. nov., accounted for 19% of all isolates recovered which were capable of anaerobic nitrogen fixation.  相似文献

One new species, five new subspecies and one variety of the genus Pycreus , are described from East Africa, viz. Pycreus micromelas Lye, P. sanguinolenlus (Vahl) Nees ssp. nairobiensis Lye, P. longistolon Kükenthal ssp. airofusca Lye, P. lanceolatus (Poiret) C. B. Clarke ssp. ugandensis Lye, P. flavescens (L.) Reichenb. ssp. laevinux Lye, P. flavescens (L.) Reichenb. ssp. microglumis Lye, and P. flavescens (L.) Reichenb. var. castaneus Lye.
In addition eight new combinations are made, viz. P. alms (Turrill) Lye, P. af–rozonatus Lye, P. niger (Ruiz & Pavon) Cufod. ssp. elegantulus (Steudel) Lye, P. macrostachyos (Lam.) J. A Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile by gliding and yellow-pigmented bacterium, designated strain 6Alg 8T, was isolated from the common Pacific green alga Ulva fenestrata. The phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence placed the novel strain within the genus Polaribacter, a member of the family Flavobacteriaceae, the phylum Bacteroidetes, with sequence similarities of 97.6 % to Polaribacter dokdonensis DSW-5T and 92.8–96.1 % to other recognized Polaribacter species. The prevalent fatty acids of strain 6Alg 8T were iso-C15:0, iso-C15:1, iso-C15:0 2-OH, C15:0 and C15:1ω6. The polar lipid profile consisted of the major lipids phosphatidylethanolamine, two unknown aminolipids and one unknown lipid. The DNA G+C content of the type strain is 31.6 mol%. The new isolate and the type strains of recognized species of the genus Polaribacter were readily distinguished based on a number of phenotypic characteristics. A combination of the genotypic and phenotypic data showed that the algal isolate represents a novel species of the genus Polaribacter, for which the name Polaribacter reichenbachii sp. nov. is proposed. Cryptococcus flavescens, a strain originally identified as C. laurentii, was isolated from the cerebrospinal fluid of an AIDS patient, and the soluble capsular polysaccharide of the yeast was investigated. Glucuronoxylomannan (GXM) was obtained from C. flavescens under conditions similar to those used to obtain C. neoformans polysaccharide. However, the GXM differed from C. neoformans polysaccharide in the decreased O-acetyl group content. The structure of GXM was determined by methylation analysis, partial acid hydrolysis, NMR analyses, and controlled Smith degradation. These analyses indicated that GXM has the following structure: an alpha-(1-->3)-D-mannan backbone with side chains of beta-D-glucuronic acid residues bound to the C-2 position of the mannose residue. The C-6 position of the mannose is substituted with D-man-beta-(1-->4)-D-xyl-beta-(1--> disaccharide. Furthermore, the existence of side chains containing more than two xylose residues was suggested. This mannosylxylose side chain is a novel structure in polysaccharides of C. neoformans and other Cryptococcus species.  相似文献

A novel strain of Flavobacterium, DCY55(T), a Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming and gliding-motile bacterium, was isolated from the soil of a ginseng field in South Korea. Phylogenetic analysis, based on the 16S rRNA sequence, demonstrated that strain DCY55(T) belongs to the genus Flavobacterium within the family Flavobacteriaceae. Strain DCY55(T) showed the highest similarity with F. johnsoniae UW101(T) (97.1%), F. ginsenosidimutans THG 01(T) (96.8%), F. defluvii EMB 117(T) (96.6%), F. banpakuense 15F3(T) (96.3%) and F. anhuiense D3(T) (95.8%). Chemotaxonomic results showed that strain DCY55(T) predominantly contains menaquinone MK-6, that its DNA G+C content is 36.1mol%, and that its major cellular fatty acids are iso-C(15:0), summed feature 3 (comprising iso-C(15:0) 2-OH and/or C(16:1) ω 7c) and C(16:0). The chemotaxonomic and genotypic characteristics support the taxonomic classification of strain DCY55(T) to the genus Flavobacterium. The results of physiological and biochemical tests confirmed that strain DCY55(T) is distinct from previously validated species. We conclude that strain DCY55(T) should be classified as a novel species of the genus Flavobacterium, for which the name Flavobacterium ginsengiterrae sp. nov. is proposed, with the type strain DCY55(T) (=KCTC 23319(T) = JCM 17337(T)).  相似文献

Three strains of aerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, yellow-pigmented bacteria (OD1T, YOxT and NS13), which were isolated in previous studies by enrichment in a mineral medium with potassium oxalate as the sole carbon source, were characterized. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, strains OD1T, YOxT and NS13 belong to the Betaproteobacteria , most closely related to Oxalicibacterium flavum TA17T (97.2–99.7% sequence similarity). The major whole-cell fatty acids were C16:0, C16:1ω7c and C17:0 cyclo. The results of DNA–DNA hybridization and physiological and biochemical tests allowed genotypic and phenotypic differentiation of strains OD1T and YOxT from O. flavum TA17T and from each other. Therefore, it is concluded that the strains OD1T and YOxT represent novel species within the genus Oxalicibacterium , for which the names Oxalicibacterium horti sp. nov. (type strain OD1T=DSM 21640T=NBRC 13594T) and Oxalicibacterium faecigallinarum sp. nov. (type strain YOxT=DSM 21641T=CCM 2767T) are proposed.  相似文献

为提升苦参资源的利用效率,本研究以苦参种子提取生物碱过程中产生的副产物油脂类物质为研究对象,筛选可利用苦参种子废弃油脂生产灵菌红素的菌株并优化其发酵工艺。利用UPLC-Q-TOF-MS /MS对纯化后的发酵产物进行分析,并通过单因素考察和响应面优化获得菌株利用苦参种子油发酵产灵菌红素的最佳工艺参数。筛选到的菌株经形态和16S rDNA测序鉴定为粘质沙雷氏菌,并命名为粘质沙雷氏菌L9。优化的最佳发酵工艺条件为:苦参种子油、牛肉膏和氯化钙的最佳浓度分别为13 g/L、9.5 g/L及0.3 g/L,温度30℃;在最佳发酵工艺条件下,灵菌红素最高产量约为317.21 mg/L,产率提高约3.2倍。本研究以苦参种子深加工过程产生的副产物为研究对象,对其油脂类成分进行资源化利用研究,在有效处置苦参种子固废物的同时产生灵菌红素高附加值产品,为以种子类药材深加工过程固废物的资源化利用提供了借鉴。  相似文献

A new bacterial strain capable of chlorobenzene degradation has been isolated from sludge of an industrial wastewater treatment plant. The micro-organism is short, rod-shaped, Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented and has been identified as Escherichia hermanii. It was observed that high chlorobenzene concentrations (up to 394 mg l-1) had low toxic effects towards this strain, which was able to degrade chlorobenzene without any previous adaptation.  相似文献

We have taxonomically and phylogenetically characterized a new aerobic bacterial strain (JF-1) that contains photosynthetic pigment-protein complexes and which was recently isolated from black smoker plume waters of the Juan de Fuca Ridge. Strain JF-1 is a gram-negative, yellow-pigmented, motile bacterium that is salt-, pH-, and thermotolerant. These properties are consistent with an oligotrophic adaptation to varied environmental conditions thought to exist around deep-sea hydrothermal vents. The analysis of 16S rDNA sequences revealed that strain JF-1 forms a separate phylogenetic branch between the genus Erythromonas and the Erythromicrobium-Porphyrobacter-Erythrobacter cluster within the alpha subclass of the Proteobacteria. The taxonomic name Citromicrobium bathyomarinum (gen. nov., sp. nov.) is proposed for strain JF-1.  相似文献

为明确上海城市绿化植物中常见刺蛾的种间关系,定量研究了黄刺蛾、桑褐刺蛾、丽绿刺蛾及褐边绿刺蛾在营养、时间、空间资源序列上的生态位指数。结果表明:褐边绿刺蛾比其它刺蛾能较广泛地利用寄主资源,生态位宽度指数为0.5447;黄刺蛾、桑褐刺蛾在时间序列上占有较大优势,生态位宽度指数分别为0.4304和0.4415;而黄刺蛾的茧则在空间资源利用中优于其它刺蛾,生态位宽度指数为0.5441。在种间,桑褐刺蛾与丽绿刺蛾利用营养资源较为接近,其生态位重叠指数(2.6647)、生态位相似比例(0.5199)和种间竞争系数(0.7015)均高于其它共存种类;黄刺蛾和桑褐刺蛾利用时间资源较相似,生态位相似比例和种间竞争系数分别为0.4846、0.5222;而桑褐刺蛾和褐边绿刺蛾则在空间资源利用中较为接近,其生态位重叠指数(2.7495)、生态位相似比例(0.9165)和种间竞争系数(0.9959)在共存种间均为最高。  相似文献

Several yellow-pigmented isolates, with optimum growth temperatures between 55 and 60 degrees C, were recovered from hot springs in Central Portugal and the Azores. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rDNA showed that these organisms represented a new species of the genus Meiothermus. The new isolates could be distinguished from other strains of the species of the genus Meiothermus by biochemical characteristics and the fatty acid composition because they had very high levels of iso C15:0 and iso C17:0 and very low levels of anteiso C17:0 and iso C16:0. On the basis of the results presented here we propose the name Meiothermus timidus for the new species represented by strains SPS-243(T) (=LMG 22897(T)=CIP 108604(T)), RQ-10 and RQ-12.  相似文献

Two yellow-pigmented bacterial strains, LZ-14 T and ABI-LZ29, were isolated from the cultivable phycosphere microbiota of the highly toxic marine dinoflagellate Alexandrium catenella LZT09 and demonstrated obvious microalgae growth-promoting potentials toward the algal host. To elucidate the taxonomic status of the two bioactive bacterial strains, they were subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic characterization. Both strains were found to be Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped and motile; to contain Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone; summed feature 8, C16:0, C18:1 ω7c 11-methyl and summed feature 3 as the major fatty acids; and diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and two unidentified phospholipids as the predominant polar lipids. Based on the phylogenetic analysis, phylogenomic inferences and phenotypic characteristics, the strains could be clearly distinguished from phylogenetically closely related species and formed a distinct monophyletic lineage in the family Rhodobacteraceae. The size of the draft genome of strain LZ-14 T is 4.615 Mb, with a DNA G?+?C content of 63.3 mol%. It contains ten predicted secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters and core genes for bacterial exopolysaccharide biosynthesis. Therefore, strain LZ-14 T (= CCTCC AB 2017230 T?=?KCTC 62342 T) represents a novel species of a new genus, for which the name Alexandriicola marinus gen. nov., sp. nov., is proposed.
