Abstract Xenopsylla chewpis is the main transmitting vector of plague in the foci of human plague in Yunnan China, where its dominant rat host is Rattus flavipectus Spatial distribution pattern of X. cheopis among the individuals of R fluvipectus is studied. Iwao's linear regression method and a significance test of random deviation for the method were used. in the light of Iwao's method, a regression model was established. The model is M =α+βM = 4.0064 + 2.0153M where both α and β are considerably higher than 0 and 1 respectively, the border values for determining spatial pattern of populations. The calculated F value is 4, 5892 (P<0.05) in the significance test of random deviation. The spatial pattern of X. cheopis among the individuals of its dominant host R flavipectus is of an aggregate distribution. The aggregated distribution pattern means that the flea individuals do not evenly distribute on rat host but gather as different size groups on rat individuals. This uneven distribution further suggests that the transmitting opportunity is not always the same even if the frequency of contacting the same species of infected rat, R flavipectus is the same.  相似文献

Rhinochimaera pacifica is redescribed and a specimen from Tokyo Bay is designated as the neotype. A second species of the genus,R. africana, is newly recognized from Japan. A new scheme of measurements of the lateral line canals has been developed, and a comparison of proportional measurements of the snout width, eye length, and canal measurements clearly distinguishesR. pacifica andR. africana. Intraspecific variation ofR. pacifica and comparison ofR. pacifica andR. africana is discussed.Rhinochimaera pacifica has an irregular distribution in the north and south Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. This study also confirms a much wider range forR. africana than previously known and extends the range to the northern Pacific Ocean around the Japanese Archipelago.  相似文献

The existence of a relationship between the spatial pattern of trees and the distribution of young individuals beneath the canopy has been tested in the beech (Fagus sylvatica) and spruce (Picea abies) — fir (Abies alba) forests in the mountainous region, using two different methods. The first method was the analysis of spatial pattern of individuals, the second one was based on calculating sums of influences of all trees occurring within analysed plot on a given point on the forest floor. Results of spatial pattern analyses were surprisingly consistent: almost all mature trees and seedlings didplayed a random pattern of spatial arrangement. However, there is a clear, although statistically insignificant tendency towards uniformity of spatial pattern with increasing sizes of analysed trees. Results of comparing sums of influences on regularly distributed points with sums of influences on seedlings or saplings revealed no tendency in forest regeneration to concentrate in places, where the sums were smaller than the average for a plot. This, coupled with the dominance of random spatial pattern of trees, suggests, that viewed on a small spatial scale, influence of competition among forest trees on their spatial arrangement is obscured by other factors, which are not closely related to the distribution of individuals.  相似文献

青藏高原东缘林线杜鹃-岷江冷杉原始林的空间格局   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
为深入理解高山林线原始林中优势树种的空间结构特征和种间关系,以青藏高原东缘林线杜鹃-岷江冷杉原始林1 hm2样地调查数据为基础,采用成对相关函数g(r)函数,分析了优势种岷江冷杉(Abies faxoniana)和凝毛杜鹃(Rhododendron agglutinatum)各径级的空间分布格局和各径级间的空间关联性。结果表明:岷江冷杉和凝毛杜鹃径级分布连续,呈倒"J"型,均为进展种群。小尺度上,对于岷江冷杉活立木(小树+中树+大树)、小树、中树为显著聚集分布,大树为均匀分布,死树则为随机分布;凝毛杜鹃活立木(小树+中树+大树)、小树、中树、大树、死树均为显著聚集分布。小尺度上随径级增大岷江冷杉的分布格局从聚集分布趋于均匀分布。岷江冷杉大树与其小树的空间关联验证了Janzen-Connell假说中的距离制约效应。通过验证接受了随机死亡假说,发现种内的密度制约效应不明显。两个树种的枯立木对凝毛杜鹃小树均表现为排斥关系,而对岷江冷杉小树表现为相互独立的关系。两个优势种总体表现为相互独立,但种间不同径级间的空间关联性各异。  相似文献

The mathematical basis of a widely-known variance-mean power relationship of ecological populations was examined. It is shown that the log variance (S 2)—log mean, (m) plot is virtually delimited by two lines logS 2=logn+2 logm and logS 2=logm, thus increasing the chance that a linear regression line can be successfully fitted, without a profoundly behavioural background. This makes difficult the task of interpreting a successful fit of the power law regression and its parameterb in a biologically meaningful manner. In comparison with the power law regression, Iwao'sm *-m regression is structurally less constrained, i.e. has a wider spatial region in which data points can scatter. This suggests that a comparison between the two methods in terms of how good a fit is achieved for a particular data set is largely meaningless, since the power law regression may inherently produce a better fit due to its constrained spatial entity. Furthermore, it could be argued that a successful fit in Iwao's method, when found, is less taxed with mathematical arterfacts and perhaps more clearly linked to some biological mechanisms underlying spatial dispersion of populations.  相似文献

Knowledge of the degree to which populations are connected through larval dispersal is imperative to effective management, yet little is known about larval dispersal ability or population connectivity in Lophelia pertusa, the dominant framework-forming coral on the continental slope in the North Atlantic Ocean. Using nine microsatellite DNA markers, we assessed the spatial scale and pattern of genetic connectivity across a large portion of the range of L. pertusa in the North Atlantic Ocean. A Bayesian modeling approach found four distinct genetic groupings corresponding to ocean regions: Gulf of Mexico, coastal southeastern U.S., New England Seamounts, and eastern North Atlantic Ocean. An isolation-by-distance pattern was supported across the study area. Estimates of pairwise population differentiation were greatest with the deepest populations, the New England Seamounts (average F ST = 0.156). Differentiation was intermediate with the eastern North Atlantic populations (F ST = 0.085), and smallest between southeastern U.S. and Gulf of Mexico populations (F ST = 0.019), with evidence of admixture off the southeastern Florida peninsula. Connectivity across larger geographic distances within regions suggests that some larvae are broadly dispersed. Heterozygote deficiencies were detected within the majority of localities suggesting deviation from random mating. Gene flow between ocean regions appears restricted, thus, the most effective management scheme for L. pertusa involves regional reserve networks.  相似文献

We used demographic, spatial, and microsatellite data to assess fine-scale genetic structure in Ethiopian wolves found in the Bale Mountains and evaluated the impact of historical versus recent demographic processes on genetic variation. We applied several analytical methods, assuming equilibrium and nonequilibrium conditions, to assess demography and genetic structure. Genetic variation (H E = 0.584–0.607, allelic richness = 4.2–4.3) was higher than previously reported for this species and genetic structure was influenced by geography and social structure. Statistically significant F ST values (0.06–0.08) implied differentiation among subpopulations. STRUCTURE analyses showed that neighbouring packs often have shared co-ancestry and spatial autocorrelation showed higher genetic similarity between individuals within packs and between individuals in neighbouring packs compared to random pairs of individuals. Recent effective population sizes were lower than 2n (where n is the number of packs) and lower than the number of breeding individuals with N e /N ratios near 0.20. All subpopulations have experienced bottlenecks, one occurring due to a rabies outbreak in 2003. Nevertheless, differentiation among these subpopulations is consistent with long-term migration rates and fragmentation at the end of the Pleistocene. Enhanced drift due to population bottlenecks may be countered by higher migration into disease-affected subpopulations. Contemporary factors such as social structure and population bottlenecks are clearly influencing the level and distribution of genetic variation in this population, which has implications for its conservation.  相似文献

Fernandez‐Leborans, G. 2011. Epibionts on the krill (Euphausia pacifica) from the E coast of Japan. —Acta Zoologica (Stockholm) 00 : 1–10. Specimens of Euphausia pacifica collected from shallow waters of the E coast of Japan showed ciliate epibionts belonging to two suctorian species: Ephelota plana and Gymnodinioides sp. The epibionts were present in a total of 27 anatomical units of E. pacifica, in numbers fluctuating between 8 and 80 individuals per basibiont. Gymnodinioides showed the highest mean number of epibionts. The presence–absence of epibionts indicated some specificity of the species by different locations on the basibiont body, which is corroborated by the analysis of the colonization throughout the longitudinal axis of the basibiont. Ephelota plana was recorded by the first time on E. pacifica, while Gymnodinioides sp. extended its geographical area with respect to previous studies. Morphological, taxonomical features of the species and the statistical analysis of their spatial distribution on E. pacifica are included.  相似文献

This study assesses two hypotheses on the genetic diversity of populations of Gigartina skottsbergii Setchell et Gardner (Rhodophyta, Gigartinales) at the border of the species distribution: 1) peripheral populations display a reduced genetic diversity compared with central populations, and 2) genetic differentiation is higher among peripheral than among central populations. Two peripheral and four central populations were sampled along the Chilean coast and 113 haploid individuals were analyzed using 17 random amplification of polymorphic DNA loci. The genetic diversity was estimated by allele diversity (He), allele richness (Â), and the mean pair‐wise differences among multilocus genotypes. All three estimates consistently and significantly indicated a lower genetic diversity within the peripheral than within the central populations. Genetic differentiation between the two peripheral populations was stronger (FST=0.35) than between central populations at similar spatial scales (FST ranging from 0 to 0.25). In addition, it appeared from the distribution of pair‐wise differences that peripheral populations are in demographic expansion after a recent bottleneck. The results are discussed in the specific context of potential overharvesting of these wild populations.  相似文献

  1. A study was made of the populations of Collembola in the pine forest. Among the eight species commonly found, Folsomia octoculataHandschin was numerically dominant.
  2. Seasonal population changes of these eight species were described over a year. It was found that many species show two peaks in number. As for F. octoculata, the dominant species, the changes in number was discussed in connection with the variation in age structure.
  3. The census data for each species were examined for the distribution pattern by using the regression method. None of these eight species was distributed at random in the soil and they could be classified into three groups based on the differences in the degree of aggregation in terms of coefficient β of the regression. It was suggested that such differences in the distribution pattern are largely due to differences in the response to heterogeneity of the habitat. In the case of F. octoculata, the changes of distribution pattern in the course of post-embryonic development were examined and it was found that (a) the component of distribution is a single individual rather than a colony, and (b) the degree of aggregation is decreased with the development of individuals.
  4. Using the relationship, the relation of the necessary sample size to the population density was derived for a fixed level of presision (D=S.E./m=0.2) and some suggestions were given concerning sampling plans for these insects.

采用点格局分析方法对北京山区栓皮栎林主要种群和不同发育阶段种群的空间分布格局及相互关系进行分析。结果表明:(1)群落物种组成简单,栓皮栎和油松是群落的优势种群,优势种群以中径木为主,缺乏可供更新的幼苗,种群呈现出衰退趋势;(2)在研究尺度内,栓皮栎、油松单种的空间分布格局以聚集型分布为主,随着尺度的增大呈现出随机分布和均匀分布的趋势;栓皮栎和油松呈现显著负相关;(3)优势种群不同发育阶段的空间分布格局与研究尺度紧密相关,栓皮栎小树和中树以聚集型分布为主、大树呈随机分布,而油松不同发育阶段均以随机分布为主;(4)栓皮栎、油松种群不同发育阶段之间的空间关联主要发生在小尺度范围内,小树和中树以正关联为主,而中树和大树、小树和大树以负关联为主;随着研究尺度的增大趋于无关联。  相似文献

Karyotypes and serum transferrin patterns were examined in Asian and Oceanian black rats (R. rattus). Japanese R. r. tanezumi and Malayan R. r. diardii had 2n=42, but Australian and New Guinea R. r. rattus showed 2n=38 chromosomes. F1 hybrids between Japanese and Australian rats and Malayan and New Guinea rats had 2n=40 chromosomes which consists of the two genomes of both parents. Although various matings between the F1 hybrids were made, only one F2 male rat with 2n=39 chromosomes was obtained. The F1 hybrids seem to be semisterile. Parental transferrin phenotypes were TfR in Japanese rats and TfCD in Oceanian rats. F1 hybrids examined showed TfRD in both male and female and one F2 hybrid had TfR type transferrin. Based on the above investigations, it is suggested that Asian and Oceanian black rats are geographically isolated and evolved different chromosomal and serum transferrin characteristics, but the sexual isolation of the two groups is incomplete at the present time.Contribution No. 826 from the National Institute of Genetics, Japan. This study investigated spatial distribution and effects of Lantana camara invasion on soil properties and vegetation composition in Tugwi-Mukosi Recreational Park. Supervised classification with the Random Forest classifier was used to map L. camara in the park. The study area was stratified into two categories based on soil type and the extent of L. camara invasion. Stratified random sampling was used in data collection to assess differences in species diversity and soil properties in the park. Results revealed that L. camara covered an area of 1772 ha. Using Random Forest classification, the study obtained an accuracy score of 92.1% and an F1 score of 86.25%. Two-way ANOVA showed significant effect of L. camara invasion on soil moisture (F = 28.143, p = 0.000), organic matter (F = 13.377, p = 0.003), pH (F = 1272.369, p = 0.000), total nitrogen (F = 51.762, p = 0.000), total phosphorus (F = 5.000, p = 0.045), woody species density (F = 4.987, p = 0.027), basal area (F = 10.393, p = 0.001), grass species richness (F = 196.258, p = 0.000) and grass cover (F = 3.637, p = 0.042). These results suggest that L. camara was modifying the soil and vegetation properties of the ecosystem which has implications on biodiversity.  相似文献

以长白山5.2 hm2次生杨桦林样地为研究对象,利用空间点格局分析的双相关函数gr)以及随机标签零模型和案例-对照设计法,探讨了树木种群空间格局及其密度制约效应。研究结果表明:生境异质性对不同生活型以及不同树种的成熟个体在大尺度范围上具有强烈影响。剔除生境异质性带来的影响后,在14个常见树种中有12个树种在小尺度上呈显著的空间聚集分布格局;随着空间尺度的增加聚集性分布树种数量急剧下降,在18 m尺度上聚集率下降到0。全部14个常见树种均呈现出显著的密度制约效应,表明密度制约是调节温带森林树木种群空间结构的主要作用机制。此外,密度制约与物种多度呈负相关,与亚林层和灌木层树种的同种聚集强度呈正相关。并且随着空间尺度增大受密度制约影响的树种百分比逐渐减小,14个常见树种中有11个在0-1 m处达到最大的密度制约强度。  相似文献

采用摄影定位法测定了宁夏荒漠草原3种不同土壤条件下猪毛蒿(Artemisia scoparia)幼苗种群的空间格局,并应用完全空间随机模型、泊松聚块模型和嵌套双聚块模型对其分布格局进行了分析。结果表明:(1)在灰钙土生境下,猪毛蒿幼苗种群在小尺度上(0-2.85m)表现为聚集分布,随着尺度的增大先呈现为随机分布(2.85-3.75 m),然后又呈现为均匀分布(3.75-5m);在风沙土生境下,猪毛蒿幼苗种群在0-1.85 m之间表现为聚集分布,在1.85-2.35 m之间表现为随机分布,当尺度大于2.35 m时表现为均匀分布;而基岩风化残积土上的猪毛蒿幼苗种群在整个尺度上均呈现随机分布。(2)猪毛蒿种群幼苗在基岩风化残积土上符合泊松聚块模型,即猪毛蒿种群空间格局的聚块中不存在较高密度的小聚块;而在风沙土和灰钙土上则符合嵌套双聚块模型,即在大聚块中分布较高密度的小聚块。猪毛蒿幼苗种群空间格局的形成与土壤异质性存在着密切的联系,种群在空间中分布格局的形成机制可以通过种群空间格局的分析加以解释。  相似文献

为了解珍稀濒危植物黄杉种群的生存现状和更新机制,对贵州省威宁县黄杉自然保护区内天然分布的黄杉(Pseudotsuga sinensis)群落的结构特征和空间分布格局进行了研究。结果表明,黄杉种群的中龄级个体数较多,幼龄级和老龄级个体相对较少,呈典型的“∩”型结构。种群结构动态指数V_(pi)(13.49%)和V′_(pi)(0.05%)均大于0,种群属于增长型,但增长幅度逐渐降低,对外界干扰敏感度较高。种群存活曲线趋于Deevey-II型,生命期望值单调下降,死亡率呈“V”型,有2个死亡高峰,第1个出现在I龄级,第2个出现在IX龄级。黄杉种群除部分样地(Q2和Q7)呈均匀分布外,大部分样地呈集群分布;随龄级的增加,空间分布格局由集群分布逐渐趋向于均匀分布。因此,黄杉种群濒危的主要因素是幼树个体无法及时补充种群,建议加强对幼苗的抚育和通过适度干扰,促进黄杉种群的更新。  相似文献

斑膜合垫盲蝽Orthotylus(O.)sophorae Josifov是近年来临夏地区国槐Sophora japonica Linnaeus上严重发生的害虫之一。应用6种分布型指数法分析判定了斑膜合垫盲蝽若虫在国槐上的空间分布型,利用Taylor幂法则和Iwao回归方程分析聚集原因,结果表明,斑膜合垫盲蝽若虫在国槐上呈聚集分布,公共k c值为0.6169,且符合负二项分布;其种群聚集是由某些环境作用引起的。在此基础上,采用Iwao的方法确定了斑膜合垫盲蝽若虫的田间最适抽样数和序贯抽样表;并根据Gerrard的零频率模型建立了估计该种群平均密度的零频率公式:x=1.7457(-lnP0)1.1119。  相似文献

白皮松是五鹿山自然保护区的重要保护植物。本文采用能够分析各种尺度下空间格局的分析方法—点格局分析法,以山西五鹿山自然保护区白皮松种群个体在空间分布的点图坐标为基础,对其进行了研究,结果表明:五鹿山白皮松不同龄级密度差异较大,中间龄级密度较大;6个龄级集群分布不明显,且随着龄级的增加集群分布特征逐渐减弱更加趋向于随机分布;龄级1和龄级2之间呈显著正关联,有利于种群的发展,其余各龄级之间在小尺度上关联性强,随着尺度的增大关联性减弱,说明龄级间的关联性与尺度密切相关。  相似文献
