The investigation of a further Flourensia species afforded in addition to already known compounds 12 new sesquiterpene acids isolated as their methyl esters, a new eudesmane diol, four lupane derivatives and two flavanones, two cinnamic acid derivatives, also isolated as methyl esters and a ketone. The structures are elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods and by some chemical transformations. Several of the compounds isolated are more or less similar to those isolated from other Flourensia species; the considerable amounts of eudesmanes, however, are unusual. The overall picture of the genus is still relatively uniform. Close relationships to Helianthella are obvious, while to Helianthus, placed in the same subtribe, no clear relations are visible.  相似文献

The investigation of two further Trixis species afforded five new sesquiterpenes related to trixikingolide, six new germacrene derivatives and a sesquiterpene derived from rotundene. Some further known compounds were isolated too, which in part may be of chemotaxonomic significance. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and a few chemical transformations. The relative position of the ester groups in eight of the new sesquiterpenoids however, could not be established with certainty as partial saponifications were not successful.  相似文献

The investigation of three further Lychnophora species and the re-investigation of one species afforded, in addition to known compounds, seven new sesquiterpene lactones all being closely related to those isolated before from the subtribe Lychnophorinae. The investigation of seven Clibadium species resulted in the isolation of a new germacrolide from C. surinamense, trans-β-bergamotene, a new sesquiterpene from C. asperum and a new C-17 acetylenic alcohol from C. glomeratum. Five known acetylenic compounds were present in some members of the genus. In good agreement with morphological data, the presence of ichthyothereol and its acetate in several members of Clibadium suggest affiliation with the genus Ichthyothere within the subtribe Milleriinae (Heliantheae-Compositae).  相似文献

An investigation of seven Vernonia species, mainly from northern Brazil, afforded in addition to known compounds three new unusual sesquiterpene lactones with an allenic group. Intensive NMR studies fully established the structures. Furthermore, two lactones derived from bourbonene, two new glaucolides, a new furansesquiterpene, a nerolidol derivative and two other sesquiterpenes derived from eudesmane were isolated. The biogenetic relationships of the sesquiterpene lactones present in Veronia species as well as the chemotaxonomic aspects are discussed.  相似文献

Three new melampolide type sesquiterpene lactones were isolated from Polymnia maculata Cav. var. maculata. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and chemical means. The investigation of Stokesia laevis afforded in addition to known compounds five new sesquiterpene lactones, four hirsutinolides and one guaianolide. The structures are very similar to those isolated from several Vernonia species. Since hirsutinolides have only been previously isolated from this latter genus, these results suggest that Stokesia may be closely related to Vernonia.  相似文献

From several South African Vernonia species, a considerable number of sesquiterpene lactones has been isolated. Together with known compounds, seven members of a new type with an enol lactone ring have been found, their structures being elucidated by spectroscopic methods and some chemical transformations. Furthermore two new derivatives of costunolide are present in two species, and three new guaianolides have been found. From some species, however, no lactones could be isolated. Together with a new bisabolene derivative, a known eremophilone has been isolated, probably for the first time, from a member of the tribe Vernonieae.  相似文献

The investigation of four South American species of the tribe Heliantheae afforded in addition to known compounds 14 new sesquiterpene lactones, mostly belonging to the melampolides, but four being further examples of cis,cis-germacranolides. The stereochemistry is established by intensive 1H-NMR studies and some chemical transformations. Some of the new lactones were only obtainable as inseparable mixtures of 2-methylbutyric and isovaleric esters. Furthermore a new acetylenic aldehyde was isolated. The chemotaxonomic situation is discussed especially with regard to the position of the genus Smallanthus.  相似文献

The investigation of further 27 South African and a few other Senecio species afforded in addition to known compounds 18 new furanoeremophilanes, most of them being cacalol derivatives, two new lactones, a new eudesmane derivative and four acyl pyrrole derivatives. The structures are elucidated by spectroscopic methods mainly. The chemical results on more than 140 species now available indicate much of chemotaxonomic interest. Together with the chemical data on related genera, the taxonomic situation of the subtribe Senecioninae is discussed in connection with the proposed new classification. The reinvestigation of the roots of Liabum eggersii afforded, in addition to compounds reported before, several sesquiterpene hydrocarbons with unusual carbon skeletons and the first derivative of the propellane modhephene which itself is also present. The roots of L. floribundum contain a tricyclic sesquiterpene with three five-membered rings. This ketone most probably is a derivative of the sesquiterpene silphiperfolene. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by extensive NMR studies and by some chemical transformations. Two further species only afforded known compounds. Four sesquiterpene lactones were isolated from several populations of Parthenium confertum var. lyratum (Gray) collected in Sierra de Arteaga, southern Coahuila. Three of the compounds, hysterin, tetraneurin E and hymenin were previously isolated from other Parthenium species. The fourth constituent is the new cyclopropanoid sesquiterpene dilactone confertdiolide which represents a new structural type. The photolytic conversion of hymenin into confertdiolide confirmed its structure.  相似文献

Within the tribe Heliantheae of the Asteraceae, the genetic boundaries of the subtribe Melampodinae have recently been drastically revised by Stuessy. The number of genera within the subtribe has been reduced and new generic groupings have been established. The present study correlates the distribution of sesquiterpene lactones found in these genera with the newly revised subtribal boundaries. The genera Acanthospermum, Melampodium, Polymnia and Sigesbeckia produce predominantly melampolide-type sequiterpene lactones. Limited chemical data support Stuessy's removal of the genera Desmanthodium, Clibadium and Ichthyothere from the subtribe Melampodiinae. The occurrence of melampolide-type sesquiterpene lactones in members of the genera Tetragonotheca (Helianthinae) and Enhydra (Ecliptinae) indicate a possible position of these genera in the Melampodiinae.  相似文献

The investigation of Calea urticifolia afforded eight new germacranolides. While five are heliangolides, three are of a new type and have some unusual structural features. The structures are elucidated by extensive 1H-NMR studies and some chemical transformations. In addition, a new isoeugenol and an unusual phloroglucinol derivative were isolated; the structure of the latter could only be established after some chemical transformations. Other Calea species contain typical C17 acetylenes only, also present in other species of the subtribe Galinsoginae. So far, the results on Calea indicate that the genus is chemically heterogenous.  相似文献
