A bacterial strain isolated from an air sample, strain 5317J-19(T), was characterized. The isolate was an aerobic, motile, Gram-positive rod. The organism was able to grow between 4 and 35°C and between pH 6 and 9. The predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0) and iso-C(16:0). The major respiratory menaquinones were MK-12 and MK-11, and the minor ones were MK13, MK-10, and MK-9. Genomic DNA G+C content was 66 mol%. The diagnostic diamino acid of the peptidoglycan is presumably D-Orn. The peptidoglycan is supposed to be B2β type. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that this isolate belongs to the family Microbacteriaceae and had the highest sequence similarities with Salinibacterium xinjiangense 0543(T) (97.6%), Salinibacterium amurskyense KMM 3673(T) (97.2%), and Leifsonia bigeumensis MSL-27(T) (97.2%). Phylogenetic analysis and phenotypic characteristics support the proposal of a new genus and a novel species, with the name Homoserinimonas aerilata gen. nov., sp. nov. The type strain of Homoserinimonas aerilata is 5317J-19(T) (=KACC 15522(T) =NBRC 108729(T)).  相似文献

A red-pigmented, Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium which was motile by gliding, designated strain 1351T, was isolated from the soil of Lengduo, Tibet in China and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic analysis. The isolate grows optimally at 30°C and pH 7. It grows with NaCl tolerated up to 1.5% (optimum, 0.5%). Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence shows that strain 1351T is closely related to members of the family ‘Cytophagaceae’ closest sequence similarity was observed with similarity with Adhaeribacter terreus (91.8%). The major whole-cell fatty acids are summed feature 4 (containing anteiso-C17:1 B and/or iso-C17:1 I, 29.2%), summed feature 3 (containing C16:1ω6c and/or C16:1ω7c, 13.0%) and iso-C15:0 (12.0%). The predominant menaquinone of strain 1351T is menaquinone-7 (MK-7) and the G+C content of the DNA is 46.8 mol%. According to the phylogenetic evidence and phenotypic data, strain 1351T is considered to represent a new genus and species of the family ‘Cytophagaceae’ for which the name Rufibacter tibetensis gen nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type species is R. tibetensis and the type strain is 1351T (=CCTCC AB 208084T = NRRL B-51285T).  相似文献

A strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, reddish-orange pigmented, non-motile and rod-shaped bacterium, designated AK17-053T was isolated from a marine crustacean (Squillidae) living on tidal flats on the coast of the Ariake Sea, Nagasaki, Japan. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the novel isolate could be affiliated with the family Saprospiraceae of the phylum Bacteroidetes and that it showed highest sequence similarity (84%) with Lewinella marina MKG-38T. The strain could be differentiated phenotypically from recognized members of the family Saprospiraceae. The G+C content of DNA was 55.3 mol%, MK-7 was the major menaquinone and iso-C15:0 and C16:1ω7c were the major fatty acids. On the basis of polyphasic taxonomic studies, it was concluded that strain AK17-053T represents a new genus of the family Saprospiraceae. We propose the name Rubidimonas crustatorum gen. nov., sp. nov. for this strain; its type strain is AK17-053T (= MBIC08356T = NBRC 107717T).  相似文献

An alkalitolerant, thermotolerant, strictly aerobic and Gram-staining negative bacterial strain, designated YIM 78140T, was isolated from a water sample in Hehua hot spring, Tengchong, Yunnan province, south-west China. The colonies were light brown, convex and circular. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain YIM 78140T indicated that it was clustered with members of β-Proteobacteria (with the similarity from 96.9 to 93.6 %). Good growth occurred at 40–50 °C, pH 8.0–9.0 and in the presence of 0–3 % (w/v) NaCl. The predominant ubiquinones were Q-8 and Q-9. The major fatty acids were C16:0, C17:0 cyclo, C18:1 ω7c and summed feature 3. The G+C content of genomic DNA was 70.8 mol%. The results of physiological and biochemical characteristics, phylogenetic analysis allowed the phenotypic and genotypic differentiation of strain YIM 78140T from its closest phylogenetic neighbours. Therefore, the strain YIM 78140T represents a novel genus of the family Comamonadaceae, for which the name Zhizhongheella caldifontis gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YIM 78140T (= BCRC 80649T = KCTC 32557T).  相似文献

A novel actinobacterium, designated strain MSW-19T, was isolated from a seawater sample in Republic of Korea. Cells were aerobic, Gram-positive, non-endospore-forming, and non-motile cocci. Colonies were circular, convex, opaque, and vivid yellow in colour. A phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences exhibited that the organism formed a distinct clade within the radius encompassing representatives of the family Propionibacteriaceae. The phylogenetic neighbors were the type strains of the genera Friedmanniella, Microlunatus, Micropruina, Propionicicella, and Propionicimonas. Levels of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity between the isolate and members of the family were less than 95.3%. The cell wall peptidoglycan of the organism contained LL-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid. The isolate contained MK-9(H4) as the predominant menaquinone, ai-C15:0 as the major fatty acid and polar lipids including phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, and an unknown phospholipid. The G+C content of the DNA was 69.6 mol%. On the basis of the phenotypic and phylogenetic data presented here, the isolate is considered to represent a novel genus and species in the family Propionibacteriaceae, for which the name Ponticoccus gilvus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is strain MSW-19T (= KCTC 19476T= DSM 21351T).  相似文献

A Gram-negative, non-flagellated, non-gliding and rod-shaped, coccoid or filamentous bacterial strain, designated YCS-16T, was isolated from coastal seawater from a seaweed farm on the South Sea, South Korea, and its taxonomic position was investigated by using a polyphasic study. Strain YCS-16T was observed to grow optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7.0–7.5 and in the presence of 2 % (w/v) NaCl. Strain YCS-16T exhibited the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values to the type strains of Bizionia echini (96.1 %), Formosa spongicola (95.8 %), Bizionia algoritergicola (95.5 %) and Psychroserpens mesophilus (95.4 %). Neighbour-joining and maximum-parsimony phylogenetic trees based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain YCS-16T joined the cluster comprising the type strains of Psychroserpens species. Strain YCS-16T was found to contain MK-6 as the predominant menaquinone and iso-C17:0 3-OH, iso-C15:1 G and iso-C15:0 as the major fatty acids. The major polar lipids detected in strain YCS-16T were phosphatidylethanolamine and one unidentified lipid. The DNA G+C content of strain YCS-16T was determined to be 35.7 mol%. The phylogenetic analysis, chemotaxonomic data and other phenotypic properties revealed that strain YCS-16T constitutes a new genus and species within the family Flavobacteriaceae, for which the name Geojedonia litorea gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Geojedonia litorea is YCS-16T (=KCTC 32260T = CCUG 63682T).  相似文献

A strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium (strain CC-SAMT-1(T)) showing gliding motility was isolated from coastal seawater of China Sea, Taiwan. Strain CC-SAMT-1(T) synthesizes all-trans-zeaxanthin (6.5 ± 0.5 mg g(-1) dry biomass) as a predominant xanthophyll carotenoid. As determined by 16S rRNA gene analysis, strain CC-SAMT-1(T) shared very high sequence similarity to the members of the genera Mariniflexile (96.1-95.3%) and Gaetbulibacter (96.0-95.9%); however, it formed a distinct phyletic lineage distantly associated with Mariniflexile species. Polar lipid profile constitutes phosphatidylethanolamine, four unidentified aminolipids, four unidentified lipids, and an unidentified glycolipid. Strain CC-SAMT-1(T) contains excessive unidentified aminolipid lipid (AL2-4) and glycolipid contents, and therefore clearly distinct from Mariniflexile species. Major fatty acids (> 5% of total fatty acids) were iso-C(15:0) (14.8%), iso-C(17:0) 3-OH (11.8%), iso-C(15:1) G (10.6%), anteiso-C(15:0) (9.7%), C(16:0) (8.1%), iso-C(16:0) 3-OH (7.9%), iso-C(15:0) 3-OH (7.5%), and summed feature 3 (containing C(16:1) ω6c and/or C(16:1) ω7c) (7.5%). Menaquinone-6 (MK-6) was major respiratory quinone. DNA G+C content was 33.7 mol%. Based on polyphasic taxonomy, strain CC-SAMT-1(T) represents a novel genus and species in the family Flavobacteriaceae for which the name Siansivirga zeaxanthinifaciens gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is CC-SAMT-1(T) (= BCRC 80315(T) = JCM 17682(T)).  相似文献

A Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, golden-yellow pigmented, non-motile, rod-shaped strain designated J36A-7T was isolated from an unidentified yellow-green coloured marine sponge. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the novel isolate was affiliated with the family Flavobacteriaceae of the phylum Bacteroidetes and that it showed highest sequence similarity (85.6 %) to Nonlabens dokdonensis DSW-6T. The strain could be differentiated phenotypically from recognized members of the family Flavobacteriaceae. The major fatty acids of strain J36A-7T were identified as iso-C16:0, iso-C17:0 3-OH and summed feature three as defined by the MIDI system (C16:1 ω7c and/or iso-C15:0 2-OH). The DNA G+C content was determined to be 31.2 mol%, the major respiratory quinone was identified as menaquinone 6 (MK-6) and a complex polar lipid profile was present consisting of phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified glycolipids, one unidentified aminolipid and one unidentified lipid. From the distinct phylogenetic position and combination of genotypic and phenotypic characteristics, the strain is considered to represent a novel genus for which the name Spongiimonas flava gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of S. flava is J36A-7T (=KCTC 32176T = NBRC 109319T).  相似文献

Two yellow-pigmented bacterial strains, LZ-14 T and ABI-LZ29, were isolated from the cultivable phycosphere microbiota of the highly toxic marine dinoflagellate Alexandrium catenella LZT09 and demonstrated obvious microalgae growth-promoting potentials toward the algal host. To elucidate the taxonomic status of the two bioactive bacterial strains, they were subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic characterization. Both strains were found to be Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped and motile; to contain Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone; summed feature 8, C16:0, C18:1 ω7c 11-methyl and summed feature 3 as the major fatty acids; and diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and two unidentified phospholipids as the predominant polar lipids. Based on the phylogenetic analysis, phylogenomic inferences and phenotypic characteristics, the strains could be clearly distinguished from phylogenetically closely related species and formed a distinct monophyletic lineage in the family Rhodobacteraceae. The size of the draft genome of strain LZ-14 T is 4.615 Mb, with a DNA G?+?C content of 63.3 mol%. It contains ten predicted secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters and core genes for bacterial exopolysaccharide biosynthesis. Therefore, strain LZ-14 T (= CCTCC AB 2017230 T?=?KCTC 62342 T) represents a novel species of a new genus, for which the name Alexandriicola marinus gen. nov., sp. nov., is proposed.

Two novel Gram-positive actinobacteria, designated H97-3T and H83-5, were isolated from marine sediment samples and their taxonomic positions were investigated by a polyphasic approach. Both strains formed vegetative hyphae in the early phase of growth but the hyphae eventually fragmented into coccoid cells. The peptidoglycan type was found to be A4α. The predominant menaquinone was MK-9(H4), and the major fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C17:0 and C16:0. The DNA G+C content was 74.0–74.9 mol %. 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis revealed that strains H97-3T and H83-5 represented novel members of the family Cellulomonadaceae. Their nearest phylogenetic neighbours were the members of the genus Oerskovia, with a similarity of 98.3–98.4 %. However, strains H97-3T and H83-5 were distinguishable from the members of the genus Oerskovia and the other genera of the family Cellulomonadaceae in terms of chemotaxonomic characteristics and phylogenetic relationship. The result of the DNA–DNA hybridization indicated that strains H97-3T and H83-5 belonged to the same species. Therefore, strains H97-3T and H83-5 represent a novel genus and species of the family Cellulomonadaceae, for which the name Sediminihabitans luteus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of S. lutes is H97-3T (=NBRC 108568T = DSM 25478T).  相似文献

A novel chemoheterotrophic, aerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped, yellow-pigmented, bacterial strain JLT2010T was isolated from deep seawater of the South China Sea. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain JLT2010T belongs to the family Flavobacteriaceae and is most closely related to Ulvibacter antarcticus IMCC3101T with 95.7 % similarity. Some phenotypic characteristics such as the absence of flexirubin-type pigments, growth at 37 °C, hydrolysis of casein differentiated strain JLT2010T from the genus Ulvibacter as well as other genera in the family Flavobacteriaceae. The DNA G+C content of the strain JLT2010T was found to be 35.7 mol% and the major respiratory quinone was found to be MK-6. On the basis of phenotypic and phylogenetic features, JLT2010T is classified as a novel genus and species within the family Flavobacteriaceae, for which the name Altuibacter lentus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is JLT2010T (=JCM 18884T = CGMCC 1.12167T).  相似文献

A Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, obligately aerobic, nonflagellated, and chemoheterotrophic bacterium, designated IMCC3088T, was isolated from coastal seawater of the Yellow Sea. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that this strain belonged to the family Halieaceae which shared the highest sequence similarities with Luminiphilus syltensis NOR5-1BT (94.5%) and Halioglobus pacificus S1-72T (94.5%), followed by 92.3–94.3% sequence similarities with other species within the aforementioned family. Phylogenetic analyses demonstrated that strain IMCC3088T was robustly clustered with Luminiphilus syltensis NOR5-1BT within the family Halieaceae. However, average amino acid identity (AAI), percentages of conserved proteins (POCP), average nucleotide identity (ANI), and alignment fraction (AF) between strain IMCC3088T and Luminiphilus syltensis NOR5-1BT were 54.5%, 47.7%, 68.0%, and 16.5%, respectively, suggesting that they belonged to different genera. Whole-genome sequencing of strain IMCC3088T revealed a 3.1 Mbp genome size with a DNA G + C content of 51.7 mol%. The genome encoded diverse metabolic pathways including sulfur oxidation, phenol degradation, and proteorhodopsin phototrophy. Mono-unsaturated fatty acids were found to be the predominant cellular fatty acid components in the strain. Phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, and diphosphatidylglycerol were the primarily identified polar lipids, and ubiquinone-8 was identified as a major respiratory quinone. The taxonomic data collected herein suggested that strain IMCC3088T represented a novel genus and species of the family Halieaceae, for which the name Aequoribacter fuscus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed with the type strain (= KACC 15529T = NBRC 108213T).  相似文献

Two halophilic archaeal strains TBN4T and TBN5 were isolated from Taibei marine solar saltern in Jiangsu, China. Both strains showed light red-pigmented colonies and their cells were rod, motile and Gram-stain-negative. They were able to grow at 25–50°C (optimum 37°C), at 1.4–4.3 M NaCl (optimum 2.1 M NaCl), at 0–1.0 M MgCl2 (optimum 0.005 M MgCl2) and at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum pH 7.0). Their cells lyse in distilled water and minimal NaCl concentration to prevent cell lysis is 8% (w/v). The major polar lipids of the two strains were PG (phosphatidylglycerol), PGP-Me (phosphatidylglycerol phosphate methyl ester), PGS (phosphatidylglycerol sulfate) and five glycolipids chromatographically identical to S-TGD-1 (sulfated galactosyl mannosyl glucosyl diether), S-DGD-1 (sulfated mannosyl glucosyl diether), TGD-1 (galactosyl mannosyl glucosyl diether), DGD-1 (mannosyl glucosyl diether) and DGD-2 (an unknown diglycosyl diether). Phylogenetic analysis revealed that TBN4T and strain TBN5 formed a distinct clade with genus Haladaptatus (showing 90.0–90.9% 16S rRNA gene similarities). The DNA G + C content of strain TBN4T and strain TBN5 are 66.1 and 65.4 mol%, respectively. The DNA–DNA hybridization value between strain TBN4T and strain TBN5 was 94.3%. The phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic properties suggest that strain TBN4T and strain TBN5 represent a novel species in a new genus within the family Halobacteriaceae, for which the name Halorussus rarus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is TBN4T (=CGMCC 1.10122T = JCM 16429T).  相似文献
