Two diastereoisomers of 4-carboxy-4-hydroxy-2-aminoadipic acid have been isolated from leaves and inflorescences of Caylusea abyssinica. Green parts of the plant also contain appreciable amounts of the two diastereoisomers of 4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acid, 3-(3-carboxyphenyl)alanine, (3-carboxyphenyl)glycine, 3-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)alanine, (3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)glycine and in low concentration 2-aminoadipic acid, saccharopine [(2S, 2′S)-N6-(2-glutaryl)lysine] and some γ-glutamyl peptides. The acidic amino acids were separated from other amino acids on an Ecteola ion exchange column with M pyridine as eluant.  相似文献

We previously reported two free D-amino acids, D-2-aminopimelic acid (D-APA) and trans-3,4-dehydro-D-2-aminopimelic acid (D-Δ-APA), from Asplenium unilaterale. In the present work we isolated 4-hydroxy-2-aminopimelic acid (OH-APA) from the same plant and determined it to be the α-L-form. We also investigated the configurations of these amino acids isolated from A. prolongatum and A. wilfordii which are morphologically distinct from A. unilaterale. In A. prolongatum, APA was the D- and OH-APA was the L-isomer. In contrast, APA from A. wilfordii was partially racemized and the degree of racemization was significantly different in plant material collected in July and November, L:D = 3:2 and 3:7, respectively. In A. wilfordii OH-APA was almost pure L- and Δ-APA was mostly the D-isomer.  相似文献

2(S),2′(S)-N6-(2′-Glutaryl)lysine (l-saccharopine) and 2(S)-2-aminoadipic acid have been isolated from Reseda odorata. When traditional isolation procedures are used l-pyrosaccharopine (5(S),5′(S)-N-(5′-amino-5′-carboxy-pentyl)-2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid) is formed from l-saccharopine by lactamisation. The degree of lactamisation during various isolation steps has been studied, The amino acids were identified by IR and PMR spectroscopy and the configurations established by enzymic and polarimetric analyses. The contents of saccharopine and 2-amino-adipic acid have been determined relative to the total nitrogen content at various stages in the growth cycle of R. odorata.  相似文献

The content of glucosinolates and amines in green parts of Reseda media has been investigated. Benzylglucosinolate, 2-phenethylglucosinolate, and m-hydroxybenzylglucosinolate occur in appreciable amounts accompanied by minor amounts of other glucosinolates, benzylamine and m-hydroxybenzylamine. Isolation and identification of these compounds was made using ion-exchange chromatography, high voltage electrophoresis, GC, MS, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The glucosinolates were transformed into corresponding nitriles and isothiocyanates by thioglucoside glucohydrolase-catalysed hydrolysis and to the corresponding carboxylic acids by acid-catalysed hydrolysis. The content of glucosinolates and amines in leaves and inflorescences of R. media has been determined by UV-spectroscopy and GC.  相似文献

Amino acids have been investigated in seeds and fresh parts of members of the Fagaceae. Seeds from the genus Fagus contain willardiine, 5-hydroxy-6-methylpipecolic acids, N-[N-(3-amino-3-carboxypropyl)-3-amino-3-carboxypropyl]azetidine-2-carboxylic acid and γ-glutamyl peptides, mainly γ-glutamylphenylalanine. These compounds are nearly or totally absent from leaves of F. silvatica and from seedlings and immature seeds of F. silvatica var. purpurea; instead, the seedlings contain large amounts of γ-l-glutamyl-l-isoleucine and γ-l-glutamyl-l-leucine. γ-l-Glutamyl-l-tryptophan and γ-l-glutamyl-γ-l-glutamyl-l-phenylalanine, not previously known from nature, have been isolated from seeds of F. silvatica var. purpurea. The structures have been confirmed by syntheses. 4-Hydroxypipecolic acid (with trans-configuration) has been identified in seeds of F. japonica Maxim. and F. sieboldii Endl. None of the above compounds was found in Quercus or Castanea species whereas argininosuccinic acid was identified in Castanea sativa.  相似文献

The leaves of Acacia species have been found to contain homoarginine, pipecolic acid and 4-hydroxy-pipecolic acid. The nymphs of the tree locust Anacridium melanorhodon, which feed on the leaves of Acacia species, were not inhibited from feeding on palatable media containing concentrations of these amino acids equivalent to, or greater than, those found in the leaves. The graminivorous Locusta migratoria was more sensitive to these compounds, inhibitory effects being observed at concentrations comparable to those found in the leaves. The inhibitory effects of mixtures of homoarginine and pipecolic acid were additive in A. melanorhodon but not in L. migratoria. Three of the non-protein amino acids found in the seeds of Acacia species, 2,3-diaminopropionic acid, 2-amino-3-acetylaminopropionic acid and 2-amino-3-oxalylaminopropionic acid, were more effective inhibitors of feeding in Anacridium than were the leaf amino acids.  相似文献

The growth and development of final-stadium tabacco hornworm Manduca sexta (Sphingidae) larvae fed a 2.5 mM l-canavanine-containing diet is disrupted markedly. Such canavanine-mediated disruption of larval growth is intensified greatly when these organisms are fed a canavanine-containing diet supplemented with a 1 : 10 molar ratio of l-arginine, l-citrulline, l-ornithine or l-2,4-diaminobutyric acid, the larvae possess enhanced haemolymph volume (oedema) and a significant mortality results from incomplete larval-pupal ecdysis. Two other compounds, 3-aminobutyric acid and l-2,3-diaminopropionic acid, do not produce larvae showing oedema but most larvae fail to complete larval-pupal ecdysis. 4-Aminobutyric acid, l-threonine and l-glutamic acid are much less potent but they still manifest appreciable developmental aberrations. Eighteen other tested compounds have no discernible effect. In general, compounds accentuating the biological activity of canavanine have: an α-carboxyl and α-amino group; a carbon skeleton of no less than 2 nor more than 4 carbon atoms; and and ω-amino group.  相似文献

Diastereoisomeric 4-substituted acidic amino acids occur in characteristic associations in the green parts of some species of the Filicinae. Subspecies of Phyllitis scolopendrium accumulate 2(S),4(R)-4-methylglutamic acid, 2(S)-4-methyleneglutamic acid and the two diastereoisomers of 2(S)-4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acid, the last two occurring at relative concentrations of 3: 1. All Asplenium species investigated were distinctive in accumulating 2(S),4(R)-4-methylglutamic acid, the two diastereoisomers of 2(S)-4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acid, and the two diastereoisomers of 2(S)-4-hydroxy-2-aminopimelic acid in a characteristic concentration ratio. Some Polystichum species do not accumulate 4-substituted acidic amino acids whereas others accumulate both diastereoisomers of 2(S)-4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acid and 'of 2(S)-4-hydroxy-2-aminopimelic acid, and thus resemble Asplenium species. The seasonal variation in the concentration of 4-substituted acidic amino acids in the green parts of Phyllitis, Asplenium and Polystichum species has also been determined.  相似文献

Leaf extracts of 540 plants representing 24 species of the genus Prosopis from North and South America were analyzed by 2-D PC and high voltage electrophoresis for their protein and non-protein amino acids. In addition to the presence of the usual protein amino acids, most of the species examined contained high concentrations of the non-protein amino acids, pipecolic acid, 4-hydroxypipecolic acid and proline.  相似文献

Two novel lactones have been isolated from the stem barks of Garcinia conrauana and G. mannii. The major component of the bark of G. conrauana was identified as 3-(3,? 3″-dimethylallyl)-conrauanalactone [4-hydroxy-3-(3″, 3″-dimethylallyl)-6-pentadecylpyran- 2-one] by comparison of spectral data of the isolated compound and two methylethers with that obtained for the previously isolated conrauanalactone. A minor component of the bark of G. mannii was tentatively identified as 3-α-hydroxy-5-(heptadec-8′-enyl)-tetrahydro- furan-2-one on the basis of spectral data from the isolated compound and its monoacetate. The distributions of biflavonoids and related compounds and benzophenones in the stem bark, heartwood, seeds and leaves of the two species are reported.  相似文献

The contents of amino acids and peptides have been investigated in seeds of Fagus silvatica L. (beechnuts). In addition to the common amino acids, the following compounds have been isolated and identified: 4-hydroxyproline (probably the cis-l-isomer), N5-acetylornithine, 3-(2-furoyl)-l-alanine, methionine sulfoxide (probably an artefact), pipecolic acid (probably partially racemized d-isomer), l-willardiine (with a small amount of the d-isomer), N-(3-amino-3-carboxypropyl)azetidine-2-carboxylic acid, N-[N-(3-amino-3-carboxypropyl)-3-amino-3-carboxypropyl]azetidine-2-carboxylic acid, 2(S),5(S),6(S)-5-hydroxy-6-methylpipecolic acid, 2(S),5(R),6(S)-5-hydroxy-6-methylpipecolic acid, γ-glutamylalanine, γ-glutamylglutamic acid, γ-glutamylisoleucine, γ-glutamylleucine, γ-glutamylmethionine sulfoxide (probably an artefact), γ-glutamylphenylalanine, γ-glutamyltyrosine, γ-glutamylvaline, glutathione, γ-glutamylwillardiine, and γ-glutamylphenylalanylwillardiine. γ-Glutamylphenylalanine and willardiine are the dominating components of the amino acid fraction. The isolations were performed by use of ion exchange chromatography, taking advantage of the different pK-values of the amino acids, mainly on acid resins in the 3-chloropyridinium form with aq. 3-chloropyridine as eluant and on basic resins in the acetate form with aqueous acetic acid as eluant. These methods in combination with preparative paper chromatography have permitted the isolation and identification of compounds present in amounts as low as 1/6000 of the dominant ninhydrin-reactive component. The implications of the occurrence of this large variety of compounds in the Fagaceae are briefly discussed.  相似文献

The two diastereoisomers, (2S,4R)-4-hydroxyglutamic acid and (2S,4S)-4-hydroxyglutamic acid, occur in characteristic concentration ratios in Phlox species. The second of these compounds is the principal free amino acid in the green parts of the plants. The presence of (2S,4R)-4-hydroxyglutamic acid in plants is reported for the first tiine. No other 4-substituted acidic amino acids were detected in the Phlox species analysed, although special attention was paid to the possible presence of 4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acids which have previously been reported in plants. It was found, however, that both diastereoisomers of (2S)-4-hydroxy-4-methylglutamic acid co-exist in Ledenbergia roseoaenea and also in Pandanus veitchii. Although the presence of 3,4-dihydroxyglutamic acids in green parts of Lepidium sativum and Rheum rhaponticum has been previously reported, we were not able to detect or isolate any of the possible diastereoisomers from the green parts or seeds of these plants. We did isolate glutathione which was found to have some properties in common with those reported for the dihydroxy compounds.  相似文献

Free amino acids and γ-glutamyl peptides have been examined in 116 species of Iridaceae. 3-(3-Carboxyphenyl)-alanine, 3′-carboxyphenylglycine and γ-glutamyl peptides occur widely in the subfamily Iridoideae but have not been found in the two other subfamilies, Ixioideae and Sisyrinchoideae. The two aromatic amino acids occur in varying concentrations in species within the Irideae and Tigrideae. The γ-glutamyl peptides are distributed in a distinct pattern within the Irideae. The results are discussed in relation with botanical classification of the subfamily Irioideae and with existing knowledge on the occurrence, biosynthesis and degradation of the aromatic amino acids and the γ-glutamyl peptides.  相似文献

Free amino acids in the seeds of 80 species of Acacia have been determined. In addition to confirming the known difference in seed amino acid ‘patterns’ shown by species of the series Gummiferae on the one hand and species of the series Phyllodineae and Botryocephalae on the other, we have found that species of the series Vulgares Benth. show two additional ‘patterns’. One of these is common to some of the Afro-Asian species of the series which have been analysed and the other is common to species from America and Africa. One of the ‘marker’ amino acids of the Afro-Asian group is the neurotoxic lathyrogen α-amino-β-oxalylaminopropionic acid. The possible taxonomic and phylogenetic significance of these results is discussed, with special reference to five species A. albida, A. confusa, A. heterophylla, A. coulteri and A. kauaiensis.  相似文献

The free amino acids of seeds of 163 species of Crotalaria have been identified. Their pattern of distribution is compared with recent classifications of the genus and the possible ecological significance of their presence is discussed. Attention is drawn to the occurrence of toxic amino acids.  相似文献

Hyaluronic acid was modified with aromatic amino acids (5-aminosalicylic, 4-aminosalicylic, anthranilic, and p-aminobenzoic) in the presence of 1-ethyl-3-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]carbodiimide. The modified glycans contained 9–43% of arylamide groups and 10–33% of isoureidocarbonyl groups depending on the nature of the amino acid. Reduction with sodium borohydride allowed the conversion of isoureidocarbonyl groups into hydroxymethyl groups.Translated from Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya, Vol. 31, No. 1, 2005, pp. 90–95.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Ponedelkina, Odinokov, Vakhrusheva, Golikova, Khalilov, Dzhemilev.  相似文献

A new amino acid previously detected in 17 species of Acacia has been isolated from seeds of Acacia angustissima and identified as oxalylalbizziine. These seeds also contain more than 6% dry weight of 2-amino-4-acetylaminobutyric acid, which has not been reported previously in a legume, and lower concentrations of 2,4-diaminobutyric acid.  相似文献
