本文以双脉冲光分眼刺激(dichoptic stimulating,双脉冲的第一脉冲光刺激一侧眼,第二脉冲光刺激另一侧眼)进行瞳孔采样特性研究。实验结果表明:当双脉冲之间的时间间隔较长时,瞳孔产生两次收缩反应;当时间间隔小于约0.6s时,瞳孔只对第一个脉冲光刺激产生瞬态收缩,对第二个脉冲光刺激不产生反应。这不仅证实了单眼实验研究的结论:瞳孔系统不是在时间上连续进行控制,而是离散的采样控制,它对光刺  相似文献

瞳孔对光反射系统和快速扫视系统在解剖学和功能上都有着紧密的联系,但是快速扫视系统对瞳孔的光反射系统是否有调制作用尚无报道。研究这两个系统间的调制作用,必须了解光刺激不均匀和近反应对瞳孔直径变化是否有影响。该研究以人为被试,设计了一种全新的实验方法,研究光刺激不均匀和近反应对瞳孔直径变化的影响。实验方法:将被试的一只眼用密闭的眼罩罩住给予脉冲光刺激,刺激由位于眼罩内全视野范围水平排列的一排发光二极管(light emitting diodes,LEDs)给出,被试的另一只眼用来记录眼动和瞳孔直径的变化,研究水平方向的快速扫视对瞳孔对光反射时瞳孔直径变化的影响。实验结果:比较被试注视视野内不同位置的瞳孔对光反射相对收缩率无显著差异(P=0.148, 非配对样本t检验)。结论:本方法消除了光刺激不均匀和近反应对瞳孔直径变化的影响,可用于研究快速扫视系统对瞳孔光反射系统间的调制作用。  相似文献

本文用实验揭示了瞳孔对光动态反应具有采样控制特性。实验中采用各种不同时间间隔的双脉冲光,以开环的方式(Maxwellian View)刺激瞳孔,当双脉冲之间间隔较长时,瞳孔反应相当于对双脉冲光的两次脉冲分别产生瞬态收缩;当双脉冲时间间隔短于0.6s 时,其反应就成了一次瞬态收缩,与单个光脉冲所引起的瞳孔反应一样。同—受试者的多次实验结果相同,不同受试者所得结果也基本一致。故瞳孔对脉冲刺激光引起反应后,必须至少约隔0.6s 才能对另一次脉冲光产生反应,这就说明了瞳孔动态反应具有离散的采样控制特性。实验还进一步证明,瞳孔系统的控制机制是双重模式的控制:不同的刺激条件下,瞳孔反应可呈现为瞬态反应(AC)或持续反应(DC),瞬态反应的 AC 通道为离散的采样控制,持续反应的 DC 通道为连续控制。  相似文献

瞳孔大小作为反映个体心理状态的窗口在社会互动中担任着重要的角色。除了非社会性信息(如刺激物理属性等因素)加工被发现影响瞳孔大小变化之外,越来越多的文献指出,瞳孔大小与个体社会信息加工之间也存在密切关系。基于此,本文系统综述了社会性刺激(如面孔和生物运动)本身以及社会性刺激含有的情绪信息对于瞳孔大小的影响,总结出瞳孔大小变化不仅可以反映个体对社会信息的感知,同样可以体现个体对更为复杂的社会互动情境的加工。这种社会性信息加工相关的瞳孔大小变化主要涉及个体的情绪唤醒和社会性注意过程。此外,对于自闭症谱系患者这一在社会互动中存在障碍的特殊群体,有关研究发现其对社会性刺激存在异常的瞳孔反应模式。这一特异性为进一步采用瞳孔指标对自闭症进行早期诊断提供了支持,具有重要的理论和实践意义。  相似文献

光照能明显改变正常人和动物瞳孔的大小,而精神疾病及药物滥用则影响人和动物瞳孔对光的反应性.因此,瞳孔对光反应异常可以用作检测精神疾病和药物滥用的指标.有关药物滥用是如何影响瞳孔对光的反应性的研究还很少.为定量地测量成瘾性药物对瞳孔光反应变化的影响,该文采用猕猴为实验对象,通过在黑暗环境中测量猕猴在吗啡给予前和吗啡给予后的不同时间段,其瞳孔直径大小以及其对光反应能力的变化情况,来系统研究吗啡是如何影响这种非自主性反射系统的.研究发现,吗啡给予降低了猕猴在黑暗环境中的扩瞳反应,并且降低了瞳孔对光反应的收缩率.该文为将瞳孔对光反应特征用作鉴定吸毒者的检测手段提供了实验依据.  相似文献

为模拟刺激光空间分布变化引起瞳孔反应的实验现象,本文建立了空间分布式神经网络瞳孔模型。它是在瞳孔双通道模型基础上,借鉴Cannon-Robinson的Oculomotor模型的双层网络结构和视网膜的镶嵌式特点,经空间延括而成。空间各部位信号经第一层神经元处理得到对应各部位的线性DC和非线性AC输出,在第二层神经元进行空间综合,再经第三层神经元复合去控制效应器官虹膜肌的反应。该分布式部位机制模型能解释多种瞳孔实验现象。  相似文献

歧义图的双稳态知觉是一种非常有趣的视觉现象,但对其机制还不十分清楚.采用"运动产生的结构"(structurefrom-motion)的歧义图和无歧义的对照图,我们研究了这一问题.被试者在报告对歧义图和无歧义图的知觉发生翻转时,其瞳孔都扩张,而且在翻转之后都达到峰值;与无歧义图条件下不同,在报告知觉翻转前,歧义图条件下的瞳孔要明显小于均值,而在瞳孔扩张达到峰值之后,瞳孔仍然明显大于均值.这些结果说明知觉翻转后的瞳孔扩张是一个表达被试知觉状态已改变的指标.而对歧义图和无歧义图刺激的瞳孔反射的差异,可能反映了由歧义图所产生知觉翻转的神经信号和知觉状态的内源性.另外,被试眼动扫视的方向会随着运动轴的变化呈现不同的扫视分布模式,但在歧义图与无歧义图之间分布模式是一致的,这不仅表明被试从歧义图中感知到了与无歧义图同样的信息,也表明瞳孔反射变化与双稳态知觉变化相关的结论具有可靠性.本文对歧义图双稳态知觉的视觉机制提供了新的认识.  相似文献

用细胞外记录的方法,研究了视觉刺激对清醒猴初级视皮层神经元眼球位置效应的影响,当猴注视电视屏幕上25个不同位置的小光点时,屏蔽上分别给予两种不同形式的视觉刺激:注视点周围的闪光圆环和感受野内的移动光条。这两种刺激都能增强初级视皮层神经元的眼球位置相关活动,并相应地使受眼球位置调制的神经元的比例明显增加。  相似文献

Compound eyes of the stomatopod, Gonodactylus oerstedii, exhibit pupillary reflection responses which arise from migration of retinular cell pigment granules. In the light, reflectance from the eye increases as pigment granules accumulate around light-sensitive rhabdoms and scatter incoming light back out of the eye (pupillary closure). At dark onset, reflectance diminishes as pigment granules disperse centrifugally, enhancing photon capture by the rhabdom. We investigated the mechanisms of the pupillary response in intact animals by measuring reflectance from the eye under different temperature conditions. Lowering the temperature from 27° to 7 °C caused an increase in reflectance of infrared light in the absence of visible-light stimuli, indicating pupillary closure. When given light stimuli as temperature decreased, the eye continued to produce reflection increases which decreased in amplitude as the between stimulus reflectance level increased. All low-temperature effects were reversed when temperature was increased to normal. The rate of pupillary closure was insensitive to temperature, with a temperature quotient (Q10) of 0.8 ± 0.1 s.e.m, while pupillary opening was extremely temperature sensitive (Q10 of 5.4 ± 0.4). Combined optical and electrophysiological experiments on the kinetics of visual pigment conversions in blowfly and the resulting pupillary response and late receptor potential are described. The photometrically detectable conversions of rhodopsin and metarhodopsin in the living wild type fly are completed within 0.5 ms. Prolonged pupillary responses and receptor potentials occur upon intense blue flashes. Subsequent intense red flashes abolish the prolonged responses in the case of both membrane potential and the pupil. : Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in guinea pig iris was inhibited by methylisocyclopentylfluorophosphate (soman) administered topically or parenterally, and enzyme activity was correlated to pupillary diameter by infrared pupillography. After a single topical soman instillation into the conjunctival sac there was an almost linear relationship between the reduction in AChE activity and pupillary diameter. Topical administration of soman at 24-h intervals in doses capable of almost complete inhibition of AChE in iris was accompanied by a reduced miotic effect of this drug. This was indicated by a reduced rate of the soman-induced pupillary constriction, a less pronounced reduction in pupillary diameter, and a more rapid return of the pupillary diameter to normal size. The change in pupillary diameter occurred after three daily administrations and remained constant during 31 days of treatment. These observations were seen irrespective of inhibition of blood AChE. The decrease in response to repeated administration could not be explained by a reduced inhibitory effect of soman on AChE, by a more rapid de novo synthesis of AChE, or by a change in the number of the muscarinic receptors as determined by quinuclidinyl benzilate binding. When soman or DFP was administered subcutaneously in high doses a severe AChE inhibition was obtained in iris without any concomitant miosis.  相似文献

The pupillary light response is often assumed to be a reflex that is not susceptible to cognitive influences. In line with recent converging evidence, we show that this reflexive view is incomplete, and that the pupillary light response is modulated by covert visual attention: Covertly attending to a bright area causes a pupillary constriction, relative to attending to a dark area under identical visual input. This attention-related modulation of the pupillary light response predicts cuing effects in behavior, and can be used as an index of how strongly participants attend to a particular location. Therefore, we suggest that pupil size may offer a new way to continuously track the focus of covert visual attention, without requiring a manual response from the participant. The theoretical implication of this finding is that the pupillary light response is neither fully reflexive, nor under complete voluntary control, but is instead best characterized as a stereotyped response to a voluntarily selected target. In this sense, the pupillary light response is similar to saccadic and smooth pursuit eye movements. Together, eye movements and the pupillary light response maximize visual acuity, stabilize visual input, and selectively filter visual information as it enters the eye.  相似文献

Differential expression of caveolin-3 in mouse smooth muscle cells in vivo   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Expression of caveolin-1 and -3 in mouse smooth muscle cells in vivo was examined by immunohistochemistry. Caveolin-1 was detected in almost all smooth muscles examined, except for the pupillary dilator muscle, whereas caveolin-3 was present only in smooth muscles of some specific tissues. In the eye, the pupillary sphincter muscle was intensely positive for caveolin-3, whereas the ciliary muscle and pupillary dilator muscle were negative. In the gastrointestinal tract, caveolin-3 was detected in the inner circular layer, but not in the outer longitudinal layer. Vascular smooth muscle cells of the resistance-sized artery in the uterus and corpus cavernosum were intensely positive for caveolin-3, whereas those of the aorta were only weakly positive and those of the vena cava were negative. Caveolin-3 was also detected in smooth muscle cells of the urinary bladder, ureter, prostatic vas deferens, and seminal vesicle. The different levels of caveolin-3 expression among various smooth muscle tissues were confirmed by Western blot analysis. Even within the same muscle, the relative expression levels of caveolin-1 and -3 were variable among neighboring cells, suggesting distinct fine regulation of expression of these two caveolins. Moreover, even in the same cell, caveolin-1 and -3 showed different distributions. These results indicate that the two caveolins form distinct caveolae in smooth muscles, and that caveolin-1 and -3 serve different functions. Their differential expression may therefore be related to the functional diversity of smooth muscles. The visual pigment in the peripheral retinular cells of the hoverfly Syrphus balteatus was investigated by absorbance difference measurements. Different visual pigments were found in the dorsal versus the ventral part of the eye in the male, but not in the female. In the male in the dorsal part of the eye the visual pigment has an isosbestic point at 513 nm; in the ventral part this value is 490 nm. The latter value is found in the female in both parts of the eye.Prolonged pupillary responses were studied in the male Syrphus and appeared to be most marked in the ventral part of the eye. In both hoverfly and blowfly prolonged pupillary responses are induced by short wavelength light only; i.e., by light which excessively can convert rhodopsin into metarhodopsin. By contrast, in butterflies red light (and a long dark adaptation time) is necessary to evoke a prolonged pupillary response. It was demonstrated in both hoverfly and blowfly that long wavelength light, which reconverts metarhodopsin into rhodopsin, inhibits a prolonged pupillary response; or, accelerates pupil opening.Based on material presented at the European Neurosciences Meeting, Florence, September 1978  相似文献

It has long been thought that the eyes index the inner workings of the mind. Consistent with this intuition, empirical research has demonstrated that pupils dilate as a consequence of attentional effort. Recently, Smallwood et al. (2011) demonstrated that pupil dilations not only provide an index of overall attentional effort, but are time-locked to stimulus changes during attention (but not during mind-wandering). This finding suggests that pupil dilations afford a dynamic readout of conscious information processing. However, because stimulus onsets in their study involved shifts in luminance as well as information, they could not determine whether this coupling of stimulus and pupillary dynamics reflected attention to low-level (luminance) or high-level (information) changes. Here, we replicated the methodology and findings of Smallwood et al. (2011) while controlling for luminance changes. When presented with isoluminant digit sequences, participants'' pupillary dilations were synchronized with stimulus onsets when attending, but not when mind-wandering. This replicates Smallwood et al. (2011) and clarifies their finding by demonstrating that stimulus-pupil coupling reflects online cognitive processing beyond sensory gain.  相似文献
