The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of chamomile oil (Ch), grape seed oil (GS), their mixture and antibiotic (colistin) (AN) as feed addetives on the productivity of growing rabbits as well as in vitro study to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of both Ch and GS oils. To achive this objective, a total of 96 New Zealand (NZW) weaned rabbits, 5 weeks-old were randomly allotted into eight groups. Rabbits were kept under observation for eight weeks and the trial ended at thirteen weeks-old. The experimental treatments were: 1) Basal diet (BD); 2) BD + antibiotic; 3) BD + 0.5 ml GS/ kg diet; 4) BD + 1.0 ml GS/ kg diet; 5) BD + 1.5 ml GS/ kg diet; 6) BD + 0.5 ml Ch/ kg diet; 7) BD + 1.0 ml Ch/ kg diet and 8) BD + 1.5 Ch/ kg diet. Live body weight (LBW) was markedly elevated (p < 0.05) in groups fed on ration included feed additives compared with the control at weeks 9 and 13 of age. Cumulative body weight gain (BWG) and feed intake (FI) increased (p < 0.05) throughout 5–9 and 5–13 weeks of age in rabbits fed rations plus the studied additives. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) was insignificantly altered by dietary feed additives. Spleen and intestine relative weights reduced (p < 0.05) in groups treated with different studied additives. In view of the experiment finings, it could be concluded that dietary supplementation of GS and Ch have a positive impact on the productivity of growing rabbits than that of the control and antibiotic-treated groups.  相似文献

The purpose of this experiment was to examine the potential use of Carica papaya leaf extract as a supplement to promote growth and improve feed utilization in red hybrid tilapia. Five diets were formulated containing isolipidic (80 g/kg) and isonitrogenic (350 g/kg) levels. All feeds contained similar types and amounts of raw materials but differed in the inclusion of papaya leaf extract (0, 5, 10, 20 and 40 g/kg feed). The initial size of fish used was 2.3 ± 0.01 g. Each diet was performed in triplicate tanks, and the feeding period was 12 weeks. Fish fed diet containing 2% papaya leaf extract (PLE) had the highest final weight, 31.14 ± 1.47 g, followed by 1% PLE (27.27 ± 1.75 g). These two diets (1% and 2%) were also showed significant improvements of weight gain, SGR, and feed efficiency of the red hybrid tilapia (p < 0.05). However, papaya leaf extract did not affect the HSI, VSI, PER, digestive enzymes activity, blood composition, and survival rate. Supplementing the diets with papaya leaf extract lowered serum urea. Findings of this research suggest that adding papaya leaf extract to the diet of red hybrid tilapia improves growth and feed efficiency without adversely affecting blood parameters. Therefore, an inclusion level between 1% and 2% of the papaya leaf extract is recommended as a feed additive to promote red hybrid tilapia fry growth.  相似文献

Effects of commercial probiotic (Bactocell®) on growth performance and blood parameters were evaluated. A total of 800 one day-old Ross broiler chicks were raised over 42 days. Chicks were wing-banded, weighed individually and randomly allocated into four equally major groups each having two replicates. Chicks of group 1 (control group) were fed the starter and finisher diets that did not supplemented with probiotic. The chicks of groups 2, 3, and 4 were fed the control starter and finisher diets supplemented with 1.6 g, 1 g and 0.8 g of probiotic per kg feed, respectively. Weekly body weight, feed consumption and feed conversion were measured. Blood parameters at 1, 4 and 6 weeks of age including packed cell volume (PCV), haemoglobin (Hb), total protein, albumin, total lipid and cholesterol were determined. All birds were kept under similar environmental, managerial and hygienic conditions. The results of the current study revealed that there was no significant change for Hb and PCV concentrations among different groups at all studied times. Also, total protein, lipids and albumin concentrations were not affected by probiotic supplementation. Chicken fed a diet containing various levels of probiotic showed a significant decrease (p ⩽ 0.05) in cholesterol concentration compared to control group. Probiotic supplementation significantly increased the body weight and daily weight gain of broiler chicks at late ages (3–6 weeks). Also, the birds fed on probiotic levels 1 and 0.8 g/kg diet exhibited higher body weight among chicken groups at 6 weeks of age. Improved feed conversion was noticed in birds fed a diet supplemented with probiotic. There was no significant difference in mortality rate among groups. We concluded that use of selected commercial probiotic resulted in improved performance parameters and reduced serum cholesterol in broiler chickens. Moreover, supplementation of the probiotic to broilers in the levels of 1 and 0.8 g/kg diet was found to be better than control and 1.6 g/kg level indicating that increasing dietary probiotic level does not has the best performance.  相似文献

The current experiment with 3 trials aimed to study the effect of two levels of dietary fibre – high fibre (HF; 323 g aNDFom/kg) and low fibre (LF; 248 g aNDFom/kg) – and the effect of mannanoligosaccharides (MOS) addition (1 g/kg) to the LF diet (LFM) on the performances and health status of growing rabbits, digestibility and caecal fermentative characteristics. In the growth trial 132 rabbits of both sexes were used (11 cages with 4 rabbits per treatment) from weaning (32 days of age) to slaughter (67 days of age). Rabbits fed HF diet showed a significantly higher weight gain and live weight at 67 days than rabbits fed LF diet (2032 g vs. 1935 g) (P<0.05). Feed and digestible energy intake increased with dietary fibre level (P<0.05). During the growing period rabbits fed HF diet had a feed intake 26% higher than those fed LF diet. Feed efficiency ratio was worse in HF animals (0.334 vs. 0.385; P<0.05). Addition of MOS to LF diet did not affect growth performance parameters (P>0.05). Mortality and morbidity rate were not affected by treatments. In the digestibility 24 rabbits from 46 to 51 days of age trial were used. The HF diet resulted in a significant (P<0.05) decrease in digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and protein while the aNDFom digestibility was not significantly different between diets (P>0.05). Supplementation with MOS had no effects on digestibility (P>0.05). In the 3rd trial the caecal traits were measured in 30 rabbits with 46 days of age that received the experimental diets in the previous 14 days. Caecal production of total volatile fatty acids (VFA), acetate and propionate were significantly higher (P>0.05) on rabbits fed HF diets than on rabbits fed LF diets. The total VFA concentration increased 64% (from 5.01 to 8.20 mmol/100 ml) and acetate increased 73% (from 3.73 to 6.44 mmol/100 ml). Butyrate production was not different between diets (P>0.05). Fibre level did not affect proportions of VFA and caecal contents and caecal weights. Addition of MOS to LF diet did not affect any caecal trait (P>0.05). It was concluded that the reduction of dietary fibre level increases feed digestibility but worsens rabbit growth performances. Supplementation of low fibre diet with 1 g MOS/kg is not enough to reduce its negative effects on growth performances.  相似文献

Rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss has a great nutritional value and delicious taste. A 90-days experimental trial was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary leaf extract of neem tree Azadirachta indica as a feeding supplement on the growth performance and proximate composition of O. mykiss. Four experimental diets were designed as T1 (with 5% A. indica leaf extract), T2 (with 7% of A. indica leaf extract), T3 (with 10% A. indica leaf extract), and T4 (control group feed with a regular diet with 0% A. indica leaf extract). The average initial weight of fry 0.4 ± 0.14 g was stocked at 25 fish/tank with two replicates per treatment (4 × 2 = 8). After 90 days of the experimental trial, One-way ANOVA showed significant differences in final body weight, weight gain, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and survival rate among the treatment groups (p < 0.05). The highest final body weight (48.10 g) and weight gain (47.70 g) was observed in T2 with 7% A. indica leaf extract, which was significantly different from the other treatments (p < 0.05). The lowest FCR was recorded in T2 (1.90), which was significantly different compared to other treatment groups (p < 0.05). Inclusion of A. indica leaf extract in formulated feed for rainbow trout had significant effects in the hepatosomatic index, viscerosomatic index and Fulton’s condition factor (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the survival rate of rainbow trout fry treated with different experimental diets (p > 0.05). The phenomenal regression indicates that 7.5% A. indica inclusion is optimum for best growth performance for rainbow trout under a controlled environment. Thus, the present study suggests that the dietary leaf extract has performed an excellent nutritional supplement by enhancing growth performance and health conditions of rainbow trout in the hatchery conditions.  相似文献

The treatment of a hardwood sawdust with 1% NaOH solution at 121°C dissolved 19.7% of the dry matter, mainly hemicellulose and lignin. Fermentation of the treated solids by Chaetomium cellulolyticum for 48 h gave a product containing 12.5% crude protein (total N × 6.25) on a dry weight basis. The in vitro rumen digestibility of the 48-h fermentation product was 30%, compared to 24% for the alkali-treated but unfermented sawdust. Growth was independent of sawdust particle size in the range 40 to 100 mesh. Fermentation of the pretreatment liquor gave a product containing up to 50% crude protein (dry weight basis) with an in vitro rumen digestibility of 65 to 76%. Approximately 6.7 g of crude protein was obtained from the treated solids and 2.2 g from the pretreatment liquor per 100 g of sawdust treated. The product from the pretreatment liquor fermentation has potential as a high-protein animal feed supplement but could not be produced economically without an outlet for the relatively indigestible product from the solids fermentation. Growth on the pretreatment liquor was strongly pH dependent; there was a considerable increase in the lag phase when the pH was lowered from 7.5 to 5.2. This effect appears to be due to an inhibitor whose toxicity is reduced at high pH.  相似文献

The goal of this research was to study the effect of the substitution of wheat starch by potato starch (PS) on the performance, health and digestion of growing rabbits. Three experimental diets were formulated with 0%, 7% and 14% PS (PS0, PS7 and PS14, respectively) and similar starch contents (22% dry matter basis), proteins and fibre. The three diets were administered to three groups of 48 rabbits from weaning (28 days) to slaughter (70 days), and growth and health measurements were made. Another 10 rabbits per diet (30 rabbits at each age), reared under similar conditions, were slaughtered at 6 to 10 weeks of age, and the digesta were collected to analyse the caecal microbial activity (pH, volatile fatty acids (VFA) levels, fibrolytic activity) and the starch concentration in the ileal digesta. At the same ages, the whole tract digestibility coefficients were measured in 10 other rabbits for each treatment (30 rabbits). The feed intake between 28 and 42 days of age (days) increased by 11% (P < 0.05) in PS0 v. PS14. Over the whole growth period (28 to 70 days), weight gain was similar among diets (40.5 g/day), whereas the feed intake and feed conversion increased (8.5% and 5.2%, respectively; P < 0.05) with the PS14 diet. Mortality and morbidity were not affected by the diets. The starch concentration of the ileal contents increased (P < 0.01) with the addition of PS to the diet (0.39%, 0.77% and 1.08% for diets PS0, PS7 and PS14, respectively). Starch digestibility was 0.8 percentage units higher (99.8% v. 99.0%) with the PS0 diet than the PS14 diet (P = 0.04). The bacterial cellulolytic activity in the caecum tended to be higher with the PS14 diet (P = 0.07). The total VFA caecal concentration increased (P < 0.01) only in 6-week-old rabbits with PS7 compared with PS0 (54.7 v. 74.5 mmol/l). Protein digestibility and ileal starch concentration decreased (P < 0.05) with age (6 v. 10 weeks), and hemicelluloses digestibility increased (P < 0.05). At 10 weeks of age, rabbits showed a higher VFA pool (6.25 mol) and proportion of butyrate (15.9%) and a lower proportion of acetate (79.3%), ammonia level (7.5 mmol/l) and C3/C4 ratio (0.31) than at 6 weeks of age. The intake of potato starch had no effect on the performance, caecal microbial activity or digestive health of growing rabbits.  相似文献

Utilization of agricultural by-products in animal nutrition is a matter of great concern. Dried sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) pulp (DCSP) is a potential source of valuable nutrients and natural antioxidants for poultry feed. In the experiment, a feeding trial was conducted in order to investigate the effect of different levels of dried orange residues in diet on broiler growth performance, carcass characteristics, blood metabolites, humoral immunity, and cecum microbial population. A total of 200 one day experimental broiler chicks were distributed into a completely randomized design (CRD) which included 5 dietary treatments with 4 replicates per each treatment and 10 birds fed in each replicate. The experimental treatments consist of a control group (without additive), 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2% of DCSP (residue) in diet. Weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were measured. Blood parameters and carcass traits were measured in the postnatal 35th day. The highest level of dried orange residues in treatment 5 (T5) had significantly increased the feed intake and body weight of broilers in groups and overall during the rearing period (P > 0.05). Different levels of dried orange residues had no significant effect on chicken FCR. Using of dried orange residues significantly decreased the liver and abdominal fat of broilers (P < 0.05). T5 has also significantly lower level of triglyceride than the control (T1) and treatment 2 (T2) (P < 0.05). In conclusion, the use of dried orange residues improved some performance (e.g. feed intake and body weight gain), decreased liver and abdominal fat and also serum triglyceride level in broiler chicken.  相似文献

The effects of different levels of safflower meal (a residue of the plant oil extraction process) in diets of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and body composition were investigated. Four different diets containing 0% (Control group), 10% (Diet 1), 15% (Diet 2) and 20% (Diet 3) safflower meal were formulated for the fish with a mean weight of 132.70 ± 0.75 g fed for 70 days. At the end of the experiment, there were no significant differences among dietary treatments for weight gain, specific growth rate and feed conversion ratio (P > 0.05). There were also no differences in the digestibility of crude protein and crude lipid between groups (P > 0.05). Supplementation of safflower meal in the diets also had no adverse effects on body composition. The results indicate that safflower meal is a promising feed ingredient and can be used up to a concentration of 20% in the rainbow trout diet with no adverse effects on growth performance, nutrient digestibility or body composition.  相似文献

This trial studied the effect of including mannanoligosaccharides (MOS, Bio-Mos®, Alltech Inc., USA) in the diet on the caecal volatile fatty acids (VFA) and pH of rabbits from 34 to 90 days of age. Three experimental diets were compared: control diet, zinc bacitracin (ZnBac) diet (control diet with 0.1 g ZnBac/kg feed) and MOS diet (control diet with 2.0 g MOS/kg feed). Rabbits were slaughtered at 34, 48, 69 and 90 days of age and caecal contents were collected and analyzed for dry matter, pH and VFA concentration. The empty caecum and caecal contents weights relative to live weight were also determined.Age affected (P<0.0001) VFA concentration and pH values in the caecum. The pH decreased with age whereas VFA concentration increased. Rabbits fed MOS had higher (P<0.05) VFA and tended (P=0.098) to had lower pH in the caecum than rabbits fed ZnBac and control diets. Acetic, propionic and butyric acids concentrations in the caecum increased with MOS but its molar proportions were similar among diets. Diet had no effect on empty caecum weight and caecal contents weight and dry matter concentration. There was no interaction effect between diet and age. From 34 to 90 days of age, VFA production was higher (P<0.05) in the caecum of rabbits fed MOS than in those fed ZnBac diet and control diet.The addition of MOS to the diet increased the VFA concentration in the caecum of growing rabbits from 34 to 90 days of age.  相似文献

Seventy-two pigs, initially weighing 4–5 kg, were fed on wheat-based diets supplemented with soya bean meal and/or meat meal in two experiments each of 4 weeks' duration.In the first experiment, 0, 25, 50 or 100% replacement of soya bean meal protein supplement with meat meal was associated with a linear decrease in weight gains (341-280 g/d), a linear increase in feed conversion ratios (1.64–2.35) and a linear decrease in apparent digestibility of dry matter (80.1–73.4%). There was no change in the apparent digestibility of nitrogen.In the second experiment, bone meal was added to provide 0.80, 1.55 and 3.05% calcium in diets in which the protein supplements were either soya bean meal or meat meal. The addition of bone meal to the diets containing soya bean meal did not affect the performance of the pigs, but it caused a linear decrease in the apparent digestibility of dry matter, nitrogen and calcium. The addition of bone meal to the diet containing meat meal reduced the feed intakes of the pigs from 617 to 516 g/d and the weight gains from 414 to 324 g/d.Weight gains of pigs were similar when their diets contained soya bean meal or meat meal as the protein supplement in the second experiment when the calcium content of the diets was 0.8%. Experiment was carried out to determine the effect of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum on the disease development, growth, oil yield and biochemical changes in the plants of Mentha arvensis. With the increase in initial inoculum levels of S. sclerotiorum a corresponding decrease in plant fresh and dry weights were recorded. The maximum reduction in the shoot-roots/suckers fresh weight and shoot-roots/suckers dry weights (39.8%, 43.6%, 40.3% and 42.9%), respectively, was observed at the highest initial inoculum level of 12 g fungal mycelium/5 kg soil as compared to uninoculated control. The infection of roots and suckers due to S. sclerotiorum increased with increasing initial inoculum levels. At the lowest initial inoculum (1.0 g mycelium/5 kg soil), infection was observed 18.0% and at the highest (12 g mycelium/5 kg soil), it was 80.2%. Significant (P ⩽ 0.01) reduction in oil yield, total chlorophyll, total phenol and total sugar content of M. arvensis plants was observed at the lowest inoculum level as compared to uninoculated control.  相似文献

Agricultural by-products could be used as alternative raw materials in rabbit nutrition as they have been found to be highly nutritious and low cost feeding sources. The aim of this study was to estimate the nutritive value and potential use of bilberry pomace (BP) for growing rabbits. A total of 144 Grimaud rabbits (35 days old) were allotted to four groups and fed with a diet containing increasing level of BP: BP0 (basal diet), BP5, BP10 and BP15 containing 0, 50, 100 and 150 g/kg respectively. Growth trial lasted 48 days; apparent digestibility was evaluated, starting at 46 days of age, over 4 consecutive days. The nutritive value of BP was measured using the mean digestibility of the experimental diets. At 83 days of age, rabbits were slaughtered: blood, and liver and kidney samples were collected in order to determine the blood parameters and the antioxidant enzyme activities of the tissues. Moreover, caecal content was sampled and gut microbiota assessed by means of amplicon-based high-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing and PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis. The digestible protein was estimated to 104 g/kg of DM while digestible energy to 9.44 MJ/kg DM for incorporation rate up to 150 g/kg. During the finishing period, average daily feed intake and feed conversion ratio showed linear response to BP increase (P=0.008 and <0.001, respectively). During all the period, both parameters decreased linearly and quadratically with increasing BP inclusion levels (P<0.001) up to 100 g/kg of BP. A significant effect of the antioxidant status was found in the kidneys and liver (P<0.05) where the glutathione peroxidase activity increased as the BP increased. As far as gut microbiota is concerned, BP increased the relative abundance of the Clostridium, Oscillospira, Ruminococcus and Ruminococcaceae species which were clearly associated with the BP inclusion level. In conclusion, BP showed a potential use as an alternative protein and fibre sources for growing rabbits.  相似文献

The increased use of natural product in the pharmaceutical industry has led to an increase in demand for screening for bioactive compounds in marine algae. An important economic algae, through chemical composition analysis and their antioxidant activities were investigated in this study. Chemical composition analysis of three algal samples from the Chlorophyta Ulva lactuca (U), Phaeophyta Sargassum crassifolia (S) and Rhodophyta Digenea simplex (D) was tested. Main components were sugars (57.40–185.13 mg/g dry weight), uronic acids (29.3–45.26 mg/g dry weight), sulfate (94.7–181.2 mg/g dry weight), amino acids (7.6–16.7 mg/g dry weight) and small amounts of betaines (2.38–8.47 mg/g dry weight). Hydrolyzed chemical composition analysis fractions of algal extract was shown a great proportion of sugars plus sulfate (as polysaccharide composed) ranges between 332 and 538.2 mg/g dry weight with trace amounts of uronic acids (⩽9%). All three algal extract showed antioxidant activities on lipoxygenase, DPPH and on Ames test. Two of aqueous extracts (U and D) inhibited lipoxygenase activity by less than 50%, where as the methanolic extract (S) caused 76% inhibition of the control. In all cases, the methanolic extract were more inhibitory than the aqueous extract. The (S) showed the highest antioxidant activity with DPPH (69%) in aqueous extract and in methanol extract with Ames test (85%). Both U and D showed antioxidant activity with DPPH in hexane by less of 25% where as in both aqueous and methanolic extracts by less than 50% of the control. Aqueous and methanolic extracts of U and D showed high inhibition by Ames test which caused 70% and 75% respectively. IR spectra of algal extracts (U; D and S) range from 1450 to 750 cm−1 were very similar absorption band at 1430, 1370, 1250, 1130, 1110, 1050 and 1020 cm−1. Absorption bands were due to uronic acids, glucosides and sulfate. The presence of sulfated polysaccharide material in the fractions UF2, DF2 and SF2 were found as cell wall storage of marine algae, confirmed by 13C NMR spectroscopy. It is concluded that the algal species probably have a different components and can be used in the activities of antioxidant enzymes as reduced the risks of enzymes. ObjectiveThe objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation of Schizosaccharomyces pombe (S. pombe) -expressed phytase on growth performance, apparent ileal digestibility, organ indexes, meat quality, toe ash, and footpad lesions score in broiler chicks.MethodsA total of 390 one-day-old broiler chicks were randomly assigned to 5 groups based on the initial body weight (42.15±0.17 g), there were 6 replicate cages per treatment and 13 birds (mixed sex) per cage. The experimental period was 45 days, including 4 periods (starter, days 1 to 10; grower, days 11 to 24; finisher 1, days 25 to 38; finisher 2, days 39 to 45). Dietary treatments were based on a corn-soybean meal-basal diet and supplemented with 500, 750, 1,000, and 1,500 FTU/kg S. pombe-expressed phytase. One phytase unit (FTU) was defined as the amount of enzyme that catalyzes the release of one micromole phosphate from phytate per minute at 37°C and pH 5.5.ResultsThe inclusion of increasing levels of phytase in the diet linearly increased the body weight gain during days 1 to 10 (p = 0.001), 25 to 38 (p = 0.016), 39 to 45 (p = 0.018), and 1 to 45 (p = 0.004), feed intake during days 25 to 38 (p = 0.032), feed conversion ratio during days 1 to 10 (p = 0.001), 39 to 45 (p = 0.038), and 1 to 45 (p = 0.012), carcass weight (p = 0.035), toe ash (p<0.001), and apparent ileal phosphorus digestibility (p = 0.049). However, the footpad lesions score (p = 0.040) decreased linearly with the increase in phytase levels in the diet.ConclusionDietary supplementation of S. pombe-expressed phytase was beneficial to the growth performance, toe ash, apparent ileal phosphorus digestibility, and footpad lesions of broiler chicks in a dose-dependent manner.  相似文献

Eleven germplasms of faba bean seeds from four agroclimatic regions of Bihar, India, have been investigated to estimate their nutritional (soluble protein, free amino acids, starch, reducing and non reducing sugar, total soluble sugar) and antinutritional (total extractable phenol and condensed tannin/proanthocyanidin) parameters. These parameters were found in varying concentration in all genotypes studied. The highest concentration of total extractable phenol and proanthocyanidin (condensed tannin) (2.56 and 1.59 % leucocyanidin equivalents respectively on dry matter basis) were found in Samastipur while the lowest from Patna (0.95 and 0.426 % leucocyanidin equivalent on dry matter basis). The different nutritional parameters were also found to be in variable concentration among different germplasms viz. total soluble protein ≈ 20–32 %, free amino acids ≈ 188–348 mg/100 g, starch ≈ 27–33 %, reducing sugars ≈ 85–188 mg/100 g, non reducing sugars ≈ 0.7–1.7 % and total soluble sugars ≈ 0.8–1.9 %.  相似文献

Isoproteic diets (19% CP) containing 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75% of citrus pulp were supplied ad libitum to 15 male New Zealand rabbits aged 6 weeks. In another experiment, pure citrus pulp (6.5% CP) was also offered.Food intake decreased when the diet contained 45% or more citrus pulp. Digestibility of DM, OM and fibre tended to increase as the inclusion of citrus pulp increased. Digestibility of OM ranged from 67 to 89% on rations containing up to 45 and 100% citrus pulp, respectively. Digestibility of fibre increased from 16.7 to 58.7 and 83.4% on the rations containing from 0 to 75 and 100% citrus pulp.Between 0 and 75% citrus pulp, digestibility and retention of N were not altered significantly, the respective values being approximately 75 and 45%. Balance decreased from 1.9 g N/d on the diet without pulp to 1.17 on the diet with 75% pulp, and was negative for 100% pulp.The fattening of 73 rabbit litters from weaning to 2 kg live weight was studied. Diets including 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75% citrus pulp were supplied ad libitum. Daily gain, food intake and feed efficiency values were about 35 g/d, 90 g DM/day and 2.5 for all diets up to 45% citrus pulp, but were notably worse with 60 and 75% citrus pulp. The last two diets produced a very high mortality (18.2 and 35%, respectively). Differences due to diet were significantly different (P < 0.01), but those due to sex were not.  相似文献

用含中性蛋白酶8000U/g的酶制剂,制作酶制剂使用量分别为0‰、0.5‰、1‰、2‰和3‰的5种实验饲料,喂养平均初始重为(3.03±0.04)g的5组三重复的青鱼鱼种8周。实验在容积为80L的15只循环式水族箱中进行。实验水温为(25.0±0.5)℃。结果表明:实验饲料中酶制剂含量为0.5‰时,实验鱼的鱼体增重与摄食不含酶制剂饲料的实验组无显著差异(P>0.05), 而当饲料中酶制剂含量提高至1‰时,鱼体增重出现显著提高(P<0.05)。但饲料中酶制剂含量从1‰进一步提高至2‰和3‰,则鱼体增重不再有显著变化(P>0.05);饲料中酶制剂含量为1‰、2‰和3‰实验组的摄食量显著高于饲料中酶制剂含量为0和0.5‰的实验组(P<0.05)。而饲料中酶制剂含量为1‰、2‰和3‰实验组的饲料系数显著低于饲料中酶制剂含量为0和0.5‰的实验组(P<0.05);青鱼饲料中使用酶制剂对饲料干物质的表观消化率、实验鱼的肠蛋白酶活性、肠和肝胰脏淀粉酶活性、全鱼营养组成、脏体指数、肝体指数无显著影响(P>0.05);饲料中0.5‰-3‰酶制剂含量时,实验鱼对饲料蛋白质的表观消化率均显著高于饲料中不含酶制剂的实验组 (P<0.05)。青鱼鱼种肝胰脏蛋白酶活性随着饲料中酶制剂使用量从0增加0.5‰和1‰而呈逐渐升高的趋势,但饲料中酶制剂使用量继续增加则不再有显著变化。因此,在本实验条件下,饲料中使用1‰-3‰的中性蛋白酶制剂促进青鱼鱼种的生长和降低饲料系数。  相似文献

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of konjac flour (KF) inclusion in gestation diets of sows on nutrients digestibility, lactation feed intake, reproductive performance of sows and preweaning performance of piglets. Two isoenergetic and isonitrogenous gestation diets were formulated: a control diet and a 2.1% KF-supplemented diet (KF diet). Both diets had the same NDF and insoluble fiber (ISF) levels, but the KF diet had higher soluble fiber (SF) level. The day after breeding, 96 multiparous sows were assigned to the two dietary treatments. Restrict-fed during gestation, in contrast, all sows were offered the same lactation diet ad libitum. Response criteria included sow BW, backfat depth, lactation feed intake, weaning-to-estrus interval, litter size and piglet’s weight at parturition and day 21 of lactation. On day 60 of gestation, 20 sows were used to measure nutrient digestibility. Results showed that the digestibility of dry matter, gross energy, crude fiber and ADF were not affected by the dietary treatments. The inclusion of KF in gestation diets increased NDF digestibility (P<0.05) and tended to increase the digestibility of CP (P=0.05) compared with the control diet group. In addition, dietary treatment during gestation did not affect litter size, BW and backfat gain during gestation, lactation weight, backfat loss or weaning-to-estrus interval of sows. However, sows fed the KF diet consumed more (P<0.05) lactation diet per day than sows in the control group. Accordingly, sows fed the KF diet showed greater average piglet weights on day 21 of lactation (P=0.09), and the litter weight of sows fed the KF diet on day 21 of lactation increased by 3.95 kg compared with sows fed the control diet (not significant). In conclusion, the inclusion of KF in gestation diets increased lactation feed intake of sows and tended to improve litter performance.  相似文献

Nesfatin-1 is an anorexigenic peptide involved in energy homeostasis. Recently, nesfatin-1 was reported to decrease blood glucose level and improve insulin sensitivity in high-fat diet-fed rats. However, little information is known about the influence of nesfatin-1 on lipid metabolism either in physiological or diabetic condition. This study undertook whether nesfatin-1 was involved in the pathophysiology in Streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic mice (T2DM), which was induced by a combination of high-calorie diet and two low-doses Streptozotocin. We observed that plasma nesfatin-1 was significantly increased while expression of nesfatin-1 neurons were decreased in hypothalamus in diabetes group compared to only high-calorie diet control group; intravenous injection of nesfatin-1 decreased 0–1h, 0–2h, 0–3h cumulative food intake in T2DM, but 0–24h total food intake had no difference between groups. Body weight and plasma FFA were normalized after nesfatin-1(10 µg/Kg) administration for 6 days. These results suggested that nesfatin-1 improved lipid disorder in T2DM. It was found that blood glucose and insulin resistance coefficient decreased with treatment of nesfatin-1 (both in 1 µg/Kg and 10 µg/Kg doses) in diabetes mice. For further understanding the role of nesfatin-1 on lipid metabolism, we detected p-AMPK and p-ACC of skeletal muscle in T2DM using western blotting. The expression of p-AMPK and p-ACC increased when nesfatin-1 was given with doses 1 µg/Kg but not in doses 10 µg/Kg. Taken together, nesfatin-1 participated in the development of T2DM and stimulated free fatty acid utilization via AMPK-ACC pathway in skeletal muscle in T2DM.  相似文献
