The nomenclatural changes which have become necessary for several species belonging to Solanum section Solanum since they were revised during the preparation of Flora Europaea are given and discussed. S. villosum is now recognized as the correct name for S. luteum , and this has necessitated a new combination for the eglandular subspecies of this taxon, namely, S. villosum Miller subsp. puniceum (Kirschleger) Edmonds. The two species were described simultaneously by Miller, and the precedence of the epithet villosum over the epithet luteum is fully discussed, together with the reasons for the selection of puniceum as the second subspecific name. The species previously referred to as S. melanocerasum is now known to be synonymous with S. scabrum , while S. chenopodioides becomes the correct name for S. sublobatum. Complete lists of synonyms are given for these three species, together with extensive notes on the more controversial and difficult synonymy. Finally, reasons are given to justify the spelling of S. sarrachoides with two r's.  相似文献

本文对国产景天属的6种植物进行了分类订正。归并了7种1亚种和2变种,同时对中国植物志中景天属存疑种Sedum phyllanthum Levl.et Vant.和S.subtile Miq.的范围及其分类地位进行了讨论。根据对S.hsinganicum Chu ex S.H.Fu的模式标本以及S.floriferum Praeger模式标本图和模式产地标本的研究,确认二者所具性状均在S.aizoon L.的性状变异范围内,故予归并。S.onychopetalumFrod.,S.grammophyllum Frod以及S.anhuiense S.H.Fu et X.W.Wang经研究均被作为S.lineareThunb.的异名处理。S.formosanum N.E.Br.在《中国植物志》中被并入S.alfredii Hance,现恢复为独立的种。此外还报道了一个中国新记录种S.hakonense Makino。  相似文献

An improved method for the isolation of a double-strand-specific RNase from snake venom is presented. This RNase, called CSV, was used to cleave yeast tRNAPhe and tRNA2Glu and tRNAfMet from Escherichia coli. In addition these RNAs and E. coli tRNAPhe were examined with the single-strand-specific nuclease S1. The results are discussed in terms of the specificity of CSV RNase and the structure of tRNAs. S1 nuclease digestions at increasing temperatures allowed the melting of tertiary and secondary structure to be monitored. 5S rRNA from E. coli, Thermoplasma acidophilum and the chloroplasts of Spinacia oleracea were digested with CSV and S1. The information these results give on the secondary-structural differences between different classes of 5S rRNA are discussed. Supporting evidence is found for tertiary interactions between hairpin loop c and internal loop d of eubacterial 5S rRNA.  相似文献

报道5个中国土壤中齿梗孢属新种:细基齿梗孢Scolecobasidium acutimum、不等齿梗孢S.anisomerum、弯孢齿梗孢S.curvularioides、近球齿梗孢S.spheroideum和浙江齿梗孢S.zhejiangense。对新种与各自相似种的区别进行了讨论。文末附有中国土壤中已知22种齿梗孢属真菌的检索表。新种模式标本(干制培养物)与活菌种保藏于山东农业大学植物病理学标本室(HSAUP),等模式标本(干制培养物)存放在中国科学院真菌标本馆(HMAS)。  相似文献

Abstract. Results are given of experimental crosses of Schistocerca species from the New World and the Old World Desert Locust. It is concluded that S. cancellata (Serville), S. gregaria (Forskal) and S. americana (Drury) are separate species in their own right not subspecies of americana. The African Desert Locust should thus be called S. gregaria gregaria and its S. W. African race S. gregaria flaviventris (Burmeister). The name S. vicaria (Walker) is proposed for the Central American Locust. The relationship of S. paranensis to Sxancellata is discussed.  相似文献

Abstract. The New Zealand fauna of the sphecid wasp genus Spilomena is reviewed and keys to both sexes given. One previously described species, S.elegantula , is recorded and two more species, S.nozela and S.emarginata are described as new; all are recorded from New Zealand for the first time in this paper. 5S rRNA is an integral component of the ribosome of all living organisms. It is known that the ribosome without 5S rRNA is functionally inactive. However, the question about the specific role of this RNA in functioning of the translation apparatus is still open. This review presents a brief history of the discovery of 5S rRNA and studies of its origin and localization in the ribosome. The previously expressed hypotheses about the role of this RNA in the functioning of the ribosome are discussed considering the unique location of 5S rRNA in the ribosome and its intermolecular contacts. Based on analysis of the current data on ribosome structure and its functional complexes, the role of 5S rRNA as an intermediary between ribosome functional domains is discussed.  相似文献

The criteria for the participation of proteases in the mobilization of storage proteins during seed germination are formulated. The proteases that satisfy these criteria, namely the acid cysteine endopeptidases, serine carboxypeptidases and neutral aminopeptidases, are reviewed. The possibility of other seed proteases participating in storage protein degradation is discussed. The course of 11S and 7S storage protein degradation through the action of endogenous and exogenous proteases is described. The 11S and 7S proteins are modified during the early stages of proteolysis and the effects of these modifications on the regulation of breakdown are examined. A scheme for 11S protein degradation in germinating seeds is presented.  相似文献

Phosphorylation of S6 in vivo is catalyzed by (at least) two distinct mitogen-activated S6 kinase families distinguishable by size, the 70 kDa and 90 kDa S6 kinases. Both S6 kinases are activated by serine/threonine phosphorylation. Members of each family have been cloned. The 90 kDa S6 kinases are activated more rapidly than the 70 kDa S6 kinase, and may have other intracellular targets. The 70 kDa S6 kinase is relatively specific for 40 S ribosomal subunits. No kinase capable of activating the 70 kDa S6 kinase has been identified. Members of the 90 kDa S6 kinases are activated in vitro by 42 kDa and 44 kDa MAP kinases, which are in turn activated by mitogen-dependent activators. 研究了盐泽螺旋藻的形态、生理生化特性和在不同条件下的生长状况,并与其他螺旋藻进行了比较。盐泽螺旋藻、极大螺旋藻和钝顶螺旋藻在蛋白质的含量、氨基酸组分以及可见光吸收光谱等方面差别不大。盐泽螺旋藻的生长速度最快(世代时间为8.4h)。极大螺旋藻、钝顶螺旋藻1926和钝顶螺旋藻2340的世代时间分别为11、11.8和14.8h。盐泽螺旋藻的光合作用和呼吸作用强度亦大于极大螺旋藻和钝顶螺旋藻。此外,这种藻对盐分和温度还具有较宽的适应范围,在形态上也和其他3种螺旋藻有较大之差异。    相似文献

This paper presents an overview of advances in cytological research on the biosystematics of vector simuliid complexes in the areas of identification, age grading, and the evolution of resistance in relation to the epidemiology and control of human onchocerciasis. Systematic theory is discussed and relevant examples are given to show its application in predicting and resolving current problems in species identification for New World and Old World vector complexes. These complexes include Simulium damnosum s.l. and S. neavei s.l. from Africa and S. exiguum s.l., S. metallicum s.l., S. ochraceum s.l., and S. oyapockense s.l. from Latin America. The evolution of resistance in S. damnosum s.l. and the need for future molecular research as part of resistance management strategies are discussed.  相似文献

Summary The characterization of pea chloroplast ribosomal proteins has been carried out. The 30 S and 50 S subunits contain 24 and 32 ribosomal proteins respectively. These numbers are very similar to the numbers previously found for spinach chloroplast (Mache et al. 1980).Chloroplast-synthesized ribosomal proteins have been determined using the light driven system of protein synthesis of Ellis and Hartley (1981). It is concluded that at least 6 ribosomal proteins of the 30 S and 5 proteins of the 50 S subunits are made in chloroplasts. The possibility that 4 additional ribosomal proteins (3 of the 30 S and 1 of the 50 S subunit) are chloroplastmade, is discussed.  相似文献

A recently erected species of Saxifraga (section Porphyrion ) endemic to the Picos de Europa (Cordillera Cantábrica) is described and illustrated. S. felineri P. Vargas resembles S. aretioides and S. ferdinandi-coburgi , although the habit and leaf shape are the main characters which support its identity. The taxonomic relationships of the three species are discussed, as well as aspects of the distribution and ecology of S. felineri.  相似文献

The type of Scleroderma stellatum from Brazil exhibits a sharp echinulate, dark brown peridium, and the type of S. bermudense from Bermuda has a peridium that is loosely woven and fibrillose, whitish to pale brownish. These characters indicate two independent species. This information is contrary to that of Guzmán in 1970, who interpreted S. bermudense to be a synonym of S. stellatum based on the similar spores. Scleroderma echinatum from Borneo and Panama, as recently discussed by Guzmán and Ovrebo, also has an echinulate, dark brown peridium and is a synonym of S. stellatum. All these fungi have a stellate dehiscence. New records of S. bermudense from the Greater Antilles and Mexico's Pacific Coast, and Veligaster nitidum from Virgin Islands also are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract Aerobic, Gram-negative methanol-utilizing bacteria that do not utilize methane are divided into 11 taxa. Two taxa are obligatedor restricted facultative methanol utilizers and nine taxa are facultative methanol utilizers. The phylogenetic relationship within the methanol utilizers is discussed on the basis of 16 S and 5 S ribosomal RNA sequences.  相似文献

The sea-bird breeding stations in East African waters are enumerated. Between the Lamu archipelago, where many species nest, and the Rovuma the most important station is Latham Island with its Booby colony ( S. dactylatra melanops ), which existed at least 115 years ago. Less than half a dozen terneries (mainly S. dougallii and S. fuscata) are known, and no gullery. Reef-Herons, the only sea-birds to breed on bush-covered islets or in mangroves, are more widespread than the other species. The Terns lay about July, the Reef-Herons a month earlier, and the Gannets about four months later in most years.
Early records of birds in Zanzibar and Pemba are discussed specifically. The recent extinction of Francolins in Zanzibar is taken as proved.
The land-birds of Mafia and the neighbouring islets are listed and discussed, mainly on the basis of a recent collection. The avifauna is purely East African, devoid of endemics, and, considering the size of Mafia and its proximity to the mainland, astonishingly depauperate in some respects. Thirteen families (including Psittacidæ, Coliidæ, Picidæ, Alaudidæ, Timaliidæ, and Zosteropidæ) and several other coastal species are not represented. The phenology is discussed.  相似文献
