Antiarchi (Pisces, Placodermi) from the Devonian of central and southern European Russia (Central Devonian Field) are studied. Antiarchs belong to three families, the Asterolepididae, Remigolepididae (suborder Asterolepidoidei), and Bothriolepididae (suborder Bothriolepidoidei). The diagnoses of the order, two suborders, three families, and five genera (two of which are new) are given. Sixteen species, including one new, are described; ten taxa are determined in open nomenclature. Morphological structures of representatives of these families are considered in detail. Classifications of antiarchs and their position in the system of the lower vertebrates are discussed. Devonian vertebrate localities of central and southern European Russia that have yielded antiarchs are listed. Each locality is characterized by its ichthyoassemblage. 相似文献

A new pycnosteid species, Schizosteus shkurlatensis sp. nov. (Agnatha, Psammosteiformes), from the Staryi Oskol beds (Givetian, Middle Devonian) of the Voronezh Region is described. This is the first species of the genus Schizosteus Obruchev from the Central Devonian Field. The similarity between species of this genus and early species of Psammolepis is discussed. 相似文献

Two placoderms of different orders from a concretion of the Zyabrevo locality (Evlanovo Regional Stage, Frasnian) in central Russia are described. Five plates of the ventral and lateral sides of the trunk armor are assigned to a plourdosteid arthrodire. Three bones located in the region of its stomach are determined as a juvenile ptyctodontid, Ctenurella sp. Records providing actual evidence of predation in Devonian vertebrates are extremely scarce. Three Late Silurian carbonate profiles of the Malynivtsy and Skala Formations from Podolia (western Ukraine) are discussed in terms of sedimentation dynamics. Their common feature is the appearance of thick, stromatoporoid-rich beds within fine-grained peritidal deposits. These intercalations are composed of fossils typical of offshore sedimentary environments. In the most spectacular case, a channel, several tens of metres wide and infilled with stromatoporoids, is incised in a peritidal cyclic complex. The successions investigated exhibit sedimentary features that are diagnostic of onshore redeposition. Independently of the scale of the recorded sedimentary events, the onshore redeposition was caused by factors with energy levels exceeding those of average storms, probably by hurricanes or even tsunami waves. The dynamic nature of some of the stromatoporoid beds has to be taken into account when constructing the curves illustrating bathymetrical and facies development of the Silurian succession of Podolia. The genesis of lens-shaped stromatoporoid beds, elongated depending on their origin, either parallel or perpendicular to the facies belts, should be considered an important factor in reconstructions of the depositional architecture of sedimentary hydrocarbon collectors. 相似文献

A cluster of thirteen elements of Panderodus unicosfatus (Branson & Mehl) from the Llandoverian of Po-dolia, Ukraine, is shown to represent an almost complete apparatus; only one element is lacking. The restored original arrangement of the elements is consistent with the model of the conodont apparatus with seven pairs of elements ordered in two parallel rows, with cusps opposing in every pair. The apparatus of Panderodus is closely similar to that of the Cambrian 'protoconcdonts' and their Recent chaetognath successors. Nevertheless, general trends in the evolution of elements of the Panderodontidae towards increased elongation, smoothness of the cusp curvature, and depth of the basal cavity indicate that the grasping apparatus of Panderodus developed independently of, and convergently to, that of the Chaetog-natha. 相似文献

Anew osteostracan genus and species,Victoraspis longicornualis n. gen., n. sp., is described based on material from Rakovets’, present day Ukraine. This new taxon shares characters with the two generaStensiopelta Denison, 1951 andZychaspis Janvier, 1985. A phylogenetic analysis supports the position ofVictoraspis as the sister group to a monophyleticStensiopelta, while the interrelationships of the various species ofZychaspis are poorly resolved. A morphometric analysis is carried out in an attempt to further resolve the taxonomic affinity. Psammosteiforms, including Tartuosteus (?) zheleznogorskensis, sp. nov. and Psammosteus cf. P. praecursor Obruchev, from the Lower Frasnian (Upper Devonian) of the Mikhailovskii Mine (Kursk Region) are described. Agnathans, placoderms, crossopterygians, and acanthodians from this locality are determined. The similarity of the Mikhailovskii Fish Assemblage to the assemblage of southern Timan suggests it be assigned to the Upper Timan Regional Stage. 相似文献

The metacopines represent one of the oldest and most important extinct groups of ostracods, with a fossil record from the Mid-Ordovician to the Early Jurassic. Herein, we report the discovery of a representative of the group with three-dimensionally preserved soft parts. The specimen--a male of Cytherellina submagna--was found in the Early Devonian (416 Ma) of Podolia, Ukraine. A branchial plate (Bp) of the cephalic maxillula (Mx), a pair of thoracic appendages (walking legs), a presumed furca (Fu) and a copulatory organ are preserved. The material also includes phosphatized steinkerns with exceptionally preserved marginal pore canals and muscle scars. The morphology of the preserved limbs and valves of C. submagna suggests its relationship with extant Podocopida, particularly with the superfamilies Darwinuloidea and Sigillioidea, which have many similar characteristic features, including a large Bp on the Mx, the morphology of walking legs, Fu with two terminal claws, internal stop-teeth in the left valve, adductor muscle scar pattern, and a very narrow fused zone along the anterior and posterior margins. More precise determination of affinities will depend on the soft-part morphology of the cephalic segment, which has not been revealed in the present material. 相似文献

The extensive Devonian marine deposits of South China have yielded few articulated crinoid cups or theca. Two Eifelian specimens, from the Gupa Member, are the first ones reported from the Yingtang Formation, Eifelian, from the Ma’anshan section, Guangxi, South China. The new taxon Guangxicrinus xiangzhouensis n. gen. n. sp. is the first report of a marsupiocrinid in China, extending the paleogeographic range of the family into the Paleotethys and the stratigraphic range of the family upward from the upper Silurian into the lower Middle Devonian, Eifelian. The occurrence of Halocrinites sp. is the third occurrence of a cupressocrinitid in China and extends the paleogeographic range from Yunnan to Guangxi. 相似文献

本文通过对近年来在广西横县六景采集的下泥盆统胴甲鱼类化石的描述,同时对以往记述或报道过的该地的胴甲鱼类化石作了简要的评说,在此基础上,列出了广西下泥盆统莲花山组的胴甲鱼类化石.根据这些胴甲鱼类化石内容,讨论了桂中南的莲花山组与滇东曲靖有关地层的对比,重申了桂中南莲花山组的地质时代应和曲靖西屯组的相当.由于直伏于西屯组之下,尚有一含多鳃鱼类化石为其特色的西山村组,该组又公认是早泥盆世早期的沉积,因此,桂中南的莲花山组之下,缺失了相当于西山村组的沉积.很显然,以莲花山组的地层内容所建立的莲花山阶,用来代表我国早泥盆世早期的沉积是不妥当的. 相似文献

In this paper, we use the Rothamsted Carbon Model to estimate how cropland mineral soil carbon stocks are likely to change under future climate, and how agricultural management might influence these stocks in the future. The model was run for croplands occurring on mineral soils in European Russia and the Ukraine, representing 74 Mha of cropland in Russia and 31 Mha in the Ukraine. The model used climate data (1990–2070) from the HadCM3 climate model, forced by four Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) emission scenarios representing various degrees of globalization and emphasis on economic vs. environmental considerations. Three land use scenarios were examined, business as usual (BAU) management, optimal management (OPT) to maximize profit, and soil sustainability (SUS) in which profit was maximized within the constraint that soil carbon must either remain stable or increase. Our findings suggest that soil organic carbon (SOC) will be lost under all climate scenarios, but less is lost under the climate scenarios where environmental considerations are placed higher than purely economic considerations (IPCC B1 and B2 scenarios) compared with the climate associated with emissions resulting from the global free market scenario (IPCC A1FI scenario). More SOC is lost towards the end of the study period. Optimal management is able to reduce this loss of SOC, by up to 44% compared with business as usual management. The soil sustainability scenario could be run only for a limited area, but in that area was shown to increase SOC stocks under three climate scenarios, compared with a loss of SOC under business as usual management in the same area. Improved agricultural soil management will have a significant role to play in the adaptation to, and mitigation of, climate change in this region. Further, our results suggest that this adaptation could be realized without damaging profitability for the farmers, a key criteria affecting whether optimal management can be achieved in reality. 相似文献

The Tidikelt region forms an outstanding area for subsurface Lower Devonian stratigraphy in the central Algerian Sahara. Sediments from five boreholes have revealed abundant and diverse assemblages of miospores, acritarchs, chitinozoa, scolecodont and microplant remains. The miospores are moderately well preserved. Three new miospore species (Dibolisporites saharansis nov. sp. Hassan Kermandji, Acinosporites conatus nov. sp. Hassan Kermandji and Scylaspora tidikeltense nov. sp. Hassan Kermandji) are described. Miospore assemblages vary through the regressive and transgressive sequences. Seven miospore assemblage biozones, including six new miospore assemblage biozones (Scylaspora tidikeltense-Perotrilites microbaculatus, Dictyotriletes emsiensis-Emphanisporites spinaeformis, Apiculiretusispora arenorugosa-Camptozonotriletes caperatus, Verrucosisporites polygonalis-Dictyotriletes subgranifer, Emphanisporites annulatus-Geminospora svalbardiae, Hystricosporites microancyreus-Grandispora protea, Calyptosporites velatus-Rhabdosporites langii) are proposed for the Lower and early Middle Devonian rocks of Tidikelt Plateau. The combined use of distinctive, wide distribution cosmopolitan and Gondwanan forms as biozonal and species characteristics permits accurate subdivision, dating and correlation of Tidikelt successions with other similar miospore zones of the Lower Devonian of Europe, Canada and other parts of Gondwana plate. The miospore data provide new explanations to stratigraphic relationships of regional rock units, sedimentary cycles and stratigraphic hiatus. The miospore biozones are proposed as a provincial biozonation, which may also be applied to other Palaeozoic rocks of similar miospore content. 相似文献

A new psammosteid, Oredezhosteus kuleshovi gen. et sp. nov., from the Amata Regional Stage (Lower Frasnian) of the Leningrad Region is described. In addition, Psammosteus livonicus Obruchev from beds of the same age from Latvia is included in the new genus. The major diagnostic characters distinguishing Oredezhosteus gen. nov. from Psammosteus Agassiz are the large rounded striated tubercles, which cover more than half width of the branchials, and the long base of the branchial plates. 相似文献

记述了广西横县六景那高岭组、郁江组,武宣二塘二塘组和象州大乐四排组(大乐组)的无颌类和鱼类微体化石。经过形态学和古组织学的研究,这些化石被归于13属(其中包括1新属、2未定属)11种(其中包括3新种4未定种和1比较种)。结合以往在莲花山组和那高岭组下部已报道的脊椎动物大化石资料讨论了广西中部下泥盆统的脊椎动物组合序列:莲花山组以Yunnanolepis-Qujinolepis组合,那高岭组以Asiaspis expansa-Machaeracanthus? bohemicus组合,郁江组以Turinia sp.-Cheiracanthoides comptus-Ohiolepis newberryi组合,二塘组以Nostolepis guangxinensis-Wuxuanichthys wangi-Ligulalepis cf. toombsi组合为代表。另外,据已报道的脊椎动物微体化石和大化石资料,对广西中部和云南东部下泥盆统进行了对比。 相似文献
