A new genus, Grangerdoryctes gen. n. (with type species Aivalykus niger Granger), from Madagascar and a new subgenus Pararhacon subgen. n. of the genus Rhaconotus Ruthe (type species R. (P.) haeselbarthi sp. n.) from South Africa are described and illustrated. A discussion of genera without a second radiomedial vein of the fore wing in the tribe Doryctini is presented. The position and content of the subtribe Rhaconotina are discussed and a key for determination of the genera of this subtribe is proposed.  相似文献

A new subtribe, Rhagodiinae, is described in the tribe Chenopodieae of the Chenopodiaceae. Three genera are included in this new subtribe: Rhagodia with 8 species, Einadia with 3 species, and Holmbergia with a single species. All the species are fully described and keys to the genera and species are given. Four new combinations are proposed: Rhagodia deltophylla, Einadia nutans, Einadia hastata and Einadia triandra.  相似文献

The rotifer fauna has been studied in four water reservoirs in the Khanh Hoa Province, Central Vietnam. A total of 65 species and subspecies and 22 genera representing 15 families have been found; 25 species and subspecies are identified as new to Vietnam. Morphometric characteristics are given for Filinia camascela Myers, Brachionus donneri Brehm, and B. dichotomus reductus Koste et Shiel. The rotifer fauna of Central Vietnam and those of other countries of Southeast Asia are compared. Some of the tropical and subtropical species recorded have been repeatedly reported from Russia.  相似文献

Sequence data for internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and partial external transcribed spacer (ETS) regions were combined in a phylogenetic analysis with previously obtained plastid DNA restriction site data to provide a comprehensive molecular phylogenetic hypothesis for derived members of subtribe Helianthinae. Analyses of the two molecular datasets provided conflicting evidence on relationships among some groups, supporting the hypothesis that hybridization has played a significant role in the divergence of the subtribe. A revised generic‐level classification is presented that divides the approximately 350 species of the subtribe among 21 genera. The paraphyletic Viguiera is narrowed to embrace only the type species, V. dentata. Four newly described genera, Dendroviguiera, Gonzalezia, Heiseria and Sidneya, are composed of species formerly included in Viguiera. Aldama is expanded to include 118 species extending from southwestern North America and Mexico to South America. This requires 116 new combinations, including 58 that were recently transferred into Rhysolepis, which is a synonym of Aldama, based on molecular phylogenetic results. The subtribe Lagasceinae of the tribe Heliantheae is recognized traditionally to consist of two genera: Lagascea and Coulterella. Although both taxa possess uni-flowered heads aggregated into synflorescences, they are very different in most other morphological and anatomical respects. The six species of Lagascea that were investigated cytologically are n = 17, whereas the monotypic Coulterella is n = 18 with chromosomes one-half the size of those of Lagascea. The dissimilarities suggest that the two genera should not be retained in the same subtribe, and that the subtribe Lagasceinae should be abandoned. Lagascea seems to be related most closely to genera of the subtribe Helianthinae, such as Alvordia. Coulterella, on the other hand, seems closest to Flaveria of the tribe Helenieae or Senecioneae.  相似文献

Subtribe Oncospermatinae (Arecaceae: Arecoideae: Areceae) is a diverse group of spiny Old World palms. The subtribe includesOncosperma, a widespread Asian genus of five species, along with seven monotypic genera, all endemic to the Seychelles and Mascarene Islands of the western Indian Ocean. A phylogenetic analysis was conducted in order to test the monophyly of subtribe Oncospermatinae with respect to other Old World genera of tribe Areceae. A matrix of 38 morphological characters was scored for 29 taxa, including 11 species of the Oncospermatinae. A single most parsimonious tree was found, resolving the subtribe as a polyphyletic group of two distinct clades. One clade containingAcanthophoenix, Deckenia, Oncosperma, andTectiphiala was placed as sister to a large group that includes members of subtribes Archontophoenicinae, Arecinae, Iguanurinae, and Ptychospermatinae. The other clade of Oncospermatinae, including the Seychelles endemic generaNephrosperma, Phoenicophorium, Roscheria, andVerschaffeltia, was resolved as sister to the Madagascar endemic subtribe Masoalinae, and may have arisen in the western Indian Ocean region.  相似文献

A survey of pollen morphology in 20 species representing the 11 genera of the North American subtribe Stephanomeriinae by light, scanning electron, and transmission electron microscopy revealed 10 of the 11 genera to have echinate, tricolporate pollen grains, Lygodesmia being the only genus with echinolophate pollen. Sectioned exines of most of the species examined are similar, being composed of ektexine and endexine. The ektexine surface is composed of spines which typically have globose perforate bases. A cavus occurs as a separation between the basis (foot layer) and the columellae in all of the genera examined except Chaetadelpha. Pollen of the two species of Glyptopleura were found to be strikingly different in exomorphology. Pollen of the putatively self-fertile G. marginata has much shorter spines than the closely related G. setulosa. Atrichoseris, Anisocoma, Calycoseris, Glyptopleura, Pinaropappus, Prenanthella, and most species of Malacothrix have pollen which lack paraporal ridges. The remaining genera, Chaetadelpha, Lygodesmia, Rafinesquia, and Stephanomeria have well-developed ridges of fused spine bases around the apertures. Pollen characters, particularly those of the aperture region, have been found to be systematically useful in the subtribe, therefore acetolyzed material gives more useful information than untreated pollen.  相似文献

Wild birds have been identified as reservoirs of many pathogens transmissible to humans through bird-biting mosquitoes. Understanding the diversity of vector fauna in bird-conservation areas, is a cornerstone to later develop early detection systems and reduce the risk of emerging disease incidence. Prek Toal is a bird Sanctuary in the Tonle-Sap area in Cambodia hosting the largest migratory bird colony of southeast Asia. The Culicidae fauna was investigated during both dry and rainy seasons. In total, 8,224 mosquitoes from 6 genera and 25 species were collected. The two most represented genera were Anopheles (8 species) and Culex (11 species), while the dominant species was Culex vishnui (58.8%). During the rainy season, 1.6 fold more mosquitoes were caught and the number of species doubled. One of the most notable feature is the absence of any Aedinii mosquito which could be attributed to the low human density around the area, and the large populations of migratory birds. A total of 13 species from 3 genera are reported to be of medical importance. 6 medically-important species were collected in all 3 sites, and are known to bite both wild birds and humans: An. barbirostris, An. campestris, Cx. bitaeniorhynchus, Cx. vishnui, Ma. indiana and Ma. uniformis. One of the most important feature is the over-abundance of Culex vishnui, largely dominant in Prek Toal throughout the seasons and the sites, and being present everywhere in Cambodia. This finding stresses its potentiality to act as bridge vectors in the case of new disease emergence.  相似文献

Members of the Vietnamese carabid fauna are arranged and nomenclaturally revised. As the result, 178 species belonging to 74 genera of 12 subfamilies, Brachininae, Omophroninae, Carabinae, Scaritinae, Bembidiinae, Trechinae, Pterostichinae, Harpalinae, Callistinae, Oodinae, Odacanthinae, and Lebiinae, are recorded from Vietnam. Within these, four species, Abacetus leucocetes Bates, 1873, Ago-nom (Metacolpodes) buchanani Hope, 1831, Steno-lopus (Egadromd) difficilis (Hope, 1845), and Phe-ropsophus {Stenaptinus) beckeri Jedlicka, 1930 are newly recorded. Relative 2C nuclear DNA contents were microphotometrically determined from nuclei isolated from eight species of Microseris, four species of Agoseris, and Phalacroseris Bolanderi. The thirteen species are diploid (2n = 18) western North American members of the subtribe Microseridinae, tribe Cichorieae, of the family Compositae. A 7.7-fold variation in DNA content was detected. Phalacroseris has the highest DNA content and Agoseris heterophylla has the lowest. Within the genera Microseris and Agoseris, a 2.8- and 3.1-fold range in DNA content was detected. The higher values were from perennial species, and the lower values were from annual inbreeding species. Both evolutionary increases and decreases in nuclear DNA content have apparently occurred during the differentiation of the subtribe.  相似文献

Pentziinae are a subtribe of tribe Anthemideae (Asteraceae), comprising seven almost exclusively southern African endemic genera and c. 60 species. Generic delimitations and relationships in the subtribe are explored using parsimony and Bayesian analyses of nuclear (internal transcribed spacer, ITS) and plastid (ndhF, psbAtrnH, trnKrps16 and rpl32trnL) DNA regions, with morphological and fruit anatomical studies. Phylogenetic analyses for 72 accessions (43 species) representing 72% of the subtribe indicate that several of the genera are not monophyletic as currently circumscribed. Pentzia tortuosa differs from its congeners in its inconspicuously three‐ribbed fruits and in several other distinctive morphological characters. In the phylogenetic trees based on the nuclear dataset, P. tortuosa is recovered in the perennial clade with its congeners, but in the plastid data set, it is strongly placed among the early diverging lineages comprising annual taxa with three‐ribbed fruits. Even with the exclusion of P. tortuosa, Pentzia remains paraphyletic by the inclusion of at least Rennera and possibly also Cymbopappus and Marasmodes. A possible sister relationship between Marasmodes and Pentzia, however, cannot be excluded. The four Rennera specise are therefore here transferred to Pentzia, whereas Marasmodes and Cymbopappus are retained pending further investigation. Among the annual lineages, Foveolina is also found to be polyphyletic, with F. dichotoma (the type species) and F. tenella clearly allied with Oncosiphon, and the anomolous species, F. burchellii, recovered with Myxopappus in the nuclear trees. We conducted phylogenetic analyses using two DNA sequence data sets derived from matK, the maturase-coding gene located in an intron of the plastid gene trnK, and the internal transcribed spacer region of 18S–26S nuclear ribosomal DNA to examine relationships in subtribe Aeridinae (Orchidaceae). Specifically, we investigated (1) phylogenetic relationships among genera in the subtribe, (2) the congruence between previous classifications of the subtribe and the phylogenetic relationships inferred from the molecular data, and (3) evolutionary trends of taxonomically important characters of the subtribe, such as pollinia, a spurred lip, and a column foot. In all, 75 species representing 62 genera in subtribe Aeridinae were examined. Our analyses provided the following insights: (1) monophyly of subtribe Aeridinae was tentatively supported in which 14 subclades reflecting phylogenetic relationships can be recognized, (2) results are inconsistent with previous classifications of the subtribe, and (3) repeated evolution of previously emphasized characters such as pollinia number and apertures, length of spur, and column foot was confirmed. It was found that the inconsistencies are mainly caused by homoplasy of these characters. At the genus level, Phalaenopsis, Cleisostoma, and Sarcochilus are shown to be non-monophyletic.  相似文献

Chromosome numbers are reported from over 230 populations representing species in eight genera. First counts are reported for three species ofStephanomeria, five species ofLygodesmia, and one species ofPinaropappus. Base chromosome numbers,x = 6, 7, 8, and 9 are known in the subtribe;x = 9 is found in six of the 12 genera and presumably is the ancestral base number for the subtribe. The phylogenetic relationships of Peniocereus (Cactaceae) species were studied using parsimony analyses of DNA sequence data. The plastid rpl16 and trnL-F regions were sequenced for 98 taxa including 17 species of Peniocereus, representatives from all genera of tribe Pachycereeae, four genera of tribe Hylocereeae, as well as from three additional outgroup genera of tribes Calymmantheae, Notocacteae, and Trichocereeae. Phylogenetic analyses support neither the monophyly of Peniocereus as currently circumscribed, nor the monophyly of tribe Pachycereeae since species of Peniocereus subgenus Pseudoacanthocereus are embedded within tribe Hylocereeae. Furthermore, these results show that the eight species of Peniocereus subgenus Peniocereus (Peniocereus sensu stricto) form a well-supported clade within subtribe Pachycereinae; P. serpentinus is also a member of this subtribe, but is sister to Bergerocactus. Moreover, Nyctocereus should be resurrected as a monotypic genus. Species of Peniocereus subgenus Pseudoacanthocereus are positioned among species of Acanthocereus within tribe Hylocereeae, indicating that they may be better classified within that genus. A number of morphological and anatomical characters, especially related to the presence or absence of dimorphic branches, are discussed to support these relationships.  相似文献

The rove beetle subtribe Xanthopygina (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Staphylininae: Staphylinini) is a species‐rich group of 27 neotropical genera that contains some of the largest and most brightly coloured of all staphylinid beetles. The monophyly of the subtribe has never been tested before, using a large dataset of taxa and genes. Bayesian and maximum likelihood analyses are used on individual genes (COI, 28S rDNA, wingless, arginine kinase, CAD and topoisomerase I) and the partitioned concatenated dataset to test for monophyly and examine the relationships among Xanthopygina genera. Xanthopygina (excluding Philothalpus) are shown to be a monophyletic group with strong support values. The genus Philothalpus is removed from Xanthopygina and placed in the tribe Staphylinini as incertae sedis. Four distinct clades of Xanthopygina genera are recognized. The origin of Xanthopygina is hypothesized to be in the Late Cretaceous or later and the origin of myrmecophilous adaptations is discussed.  相似文献

Study on rugose coral fauna of the Sifengya Formation (early Telychian) and Daluzhai Formation (mid-late Telychian) in Daguan area, northeast Yunnan Province, China was carried out. Rugose coral fauna of the Sifengya Formation included 18 genera and 34 species, while Daluzhai Formation with nine genera, ten species. We described rugose coral fauna (12 genera, 19 species) including one new genus and five new species, i.e. Protoketophyllum daguanense gen. et sp. nov., Crassilasma huanggexiense sp. nov., Pseudophaulactis heae sp. nov., P. convolutus sp. nov., and Shensiphyllum minor sp. nov. The characteristics and geological significance of rugose coral fauna of Sifengya Formation and Daluzhai Formation were analyzed. Particularly, rugose coral fauna of the Sifengya Formation represent early Telychian rugosan fauna in the Upper Yangtze region and improve the sequences of early Silurian (Llandovery) rugose coral assemblages in Yangtze region. The genus Auletobius in the Russian fauna is revised. Five species (A. egorovi, A. irkutensis, A. puberulus, A. sanguisorbae, and A. submaculatus) belonging to two subgenera are revealed. The distribution of these species in Russia is given. The data on the trophic associations of the species are summarized. Keys to the subtribes of the tribe Auletini, subgenera of the genus Auletobius, and species of the subgenus Auletobius s. str. are given. All the taxa are redescribed.  相似文献

Original data on the number of families, genera, and species in the lepidopterous fauna of the Upper Volga basin are presented. The families Noctuidae, Geometridae, and Tortricidae predominate in the regional fauna, the most diverse genera being Eupithecia, Epinotia, Phyllonorycter, Elachista, Acleris, Scopula, Acronicta, Apamea, Dichrorampha, Argyresthia, Agonopterix, and Idaea. Similarity between the lepidopterous faunas of the Upper Volga basin and other forest regions of European Russia (for Lepidoptera as a whole and for separate families) is estimated. Some trends in the latitudinal and longitudinal changes of the faunas are determined; closer similarity between the faunas of regions located at the same latitude is demonstrated.  相似文献

255 species and 59 subspecies of fleas from 55 genera of 7 families are known from Russia, which is 30% of the Palaearctic fauna. Additionally, over 187 species of 47 genera from 7 families are known from the neighboring territories of Central and Southern Europe, Transcaucasia, Kazakhstan, Middle Asia, Mongolia, Northeast China, and Japan. 13 species of 12 genera are known only from Russia. Noteworthy is the low percent of endemic species (not more than 4%) and genera (one genus) in the Russian fauna. The principal centers of taxonomic diversity in the Palaearctic, including many endemic species and genera, lie in the Eastern Asian, Central Asian, and Turano-Iranian Subregions, outside Russia and the Euro-Siberian Subregion. The bulk of the Russian fauna is formed by the species and genera of the three largest flea families: Hystrichopsyllidae, Ceratophyllidae, and Leptopsyllidae. The family Ceratophyllidae has the greatest number of genera in the Russian fauna, and Hystrichopsyllidae, the greatest number of species. Western (Western and Western-Central Palaearctic; 84 species from 41 genera of 7 families) and Eastern (Central-Eastern and Eastern Palaearctic; 78 species from 42 genera of 6 families) species are nearly equally represented in the Russian fauna.  相似文献
