An investigation was undertaken to demonstrate the neural elements of the lung of Francolinus pondicerianus, from the point of view of neurohistology and histochemistry. The staining of the neural elements was done by the cholinesterase technique with a maintained pH of 5.2, temperature 40 degrees C and incubation period of 19 h. Distribution of nerves in association with bronchial cartilage, pulmonary vessels and bronchi has been described and discussed. The distribution of the ganglia in association with blood vessels, bronchi, cartilage, various plexuses and the neural terminal terminal network has also been described. The innervation of the bronchi and their branches, and formation of the neural terminal network has been studied, as well as the distribution of cholinesterase in bronchi, blood vessels, muscles, ganglia, and nerve fibres.  相似文献

Three pairs of ligaments support not only the heart of spiny lobsters but also ligamental nerve plexuses, the complex terminal aborizations of segmental nerves. Segmental nerves 1–4 project from the thoracic ganglia into the pericardial cavity and ultimately ramify along the strands of the anterior, medial, and posterior ligaments. In each branch, a core of large axons sends fibers to terminate in a surrounding cortex of fine and varicose secretory processes. Electron micrographs reveal at least five distinct populations of granule-filled neuronal profiles, many with vesicles clustered at membrane thickenings adjacent to the epineural sheath. The ligamental nerve plexuses synthesize and accumulate octopamine, dopamine, 5-HT, and acetylcholine. Octopamine and 5-HT are predominant, comprising 33% and 65%, respectively, of the synthetic activity devoted to the four amines. Thus, the anatomy, ultrastructure, and neurochemistry of the ligamental nerve plexuses establishes their homology with the pericardial organs of other Crustacea. Octopamine and 5-HT are released by a Ca++-dependent mechanism upon electrical stimulation of preterminal nerve trunks, and, in vivo, would be swept immediately through ostia into the heart. These observations, when considered with known effects of octopamine and 5-HT on crustacean cardiac activity, neuromuscular transmission, muscle tension, and cyclic AMP metabolism provide a strong case for hormonal actions at target sites throughout the animal. Segmental nerve processes in the dorsal nerve trunk ramify into a plexus around the dorsal nerve apparatus, a small muscular bulb that lies recessed in the cardiac surface. The dorsal nerve, carrying excitatory and inhibitory input to the cardiac ganglion directly through the bulb's hollow interior. The apparatus synthesizes and contains acetylcholine and the three amines mentioned above. In situ, it may beat rhythmically out of phase with the heart.  相似文献

Innervational connections of the heart and the superior vena cava wall have been studied in the rabbit and the man. Besides, series of their embryos, impregnated with silver salts after Cajal-Favorsky have been investigated. Methods of Bielschowsky-Gros, Gomori and Karnovsky-Roots have also been applied. Adrenergic nervous elements have been revealed by means of incubation the slices in 2% solution of glyoxylic acid. Abundant cholinergic and adrenergic nervous plexuses are revealed on the wall of the superior vena cava, they are tightly connected with corresponding plexuses of the heart. Developmental of these nervous connections is followed, when embryogenesis of the cardiac nervous plexuses and large major vessels is studied in serial sections of embryos and fetuses of the rabbit and the man.  相似文献

By means of the neurohistochemical method for slice incubation in 2% solution of glyoxylic acid, innervation of the kidneys of a 57-year-old man after a sudden cardiac death has been investigated, as well as innervation of the kidneys in white rat, rabbit, guinea pig and cat. A rich adrenergic innervation in the organ's blood vessels has been revealed. In particular, adrenergic nervous fibers have been found along the course of afferent glomerular arterioles. Together with innervation of the proximal and distal convoluted tubules, a high density of the terminal adrenergic nervous plexus is revealed along the course of the nephron loops. Adrenergic nervous plexuses of high density are found in the area of the initial part of the urinary excretory pathways and their connection with nervous plexuses of the kidney itself.  相似文献

While studying the innervation sources of the deferent duct in 10 dogs, 2-3 nerves have been revealed that take their origin at the pelvic neural plexus and approach the duct together with the blood vessels at the pelvic neural plexus and approach the duct together with the blood vessels at the place where it crosses the ureter ("the vascular-neural hilus"). In the experiment performed in 65 dogs the nature of these sources has been revealed. The motor innervation is presented by the nodes of the celiac plexus, of the lumbar and sacral parts of the sympathetic trunk, of the subceliac, gonadal and splanchic pelvic nerves, and the sensitive innervation is multisegmental and is performed by the intravertebral nodes L2-S3. Quantitative investigation of the degenerated neural fibers in the dog deferent duct wall demonstrates that the innervation sources mentioned above participate te a various degree along the course of the organ. In the "hilus" the nerves of the dog deferent duct are divided into the proximal nad distal groups. The proximal group runs towards the prostate and forms a plexus with large loops connected with the neural plexuses of the urinary bladder, the ureter and the prostate. It has small neural nodes. The distally directed nerves run, together with the blood vessels, in the deferent duct towards the epididymis. In the deferent duct wall, adventitila, muscular and mucous neural plexus are found, the cholinergic component prevailing the adrenergic one. The plexuses are somewhat better developed at the beginning of the deferent duct and they are especially pronounced in the ampule. The receptors of the organ's wall are simple, poorly branching.  相似文献

The main aim of this study was to clarify the general morphology of the autonomic cardiac nervous system in macaque monkeys. A submacroscopic comparative anatomical study of the autonomic cardiac nervous system was performed by examining 22 sides of 11 bodies of four species of macaque monkeys, including some previously unreported species (pig-tailed and stump-tailed monkeys), under a surgical stereomicroscope. The following results were obtained. 1) The basic arrangement of the autonomic cardiac nervous system is constant in all examined macaques. 2) A superior cardiac nerve originating from the superior cervical ganglion was not observed, whereas the thoracic cardiac nerve originating from the sympathetic trunk/ganglia under the cervicothoracic ganglion was rarely observed in all the examined macaques. 3) The main cardiac nerve is the middle cardiac nerve originating from the middle cervical ganglion, similar to the situation in humans. 4) Although the superior, inferior, and thoracic cardiac branches of the vagus nerve were consistently observed, the left thoracic cardiac branch is rarely absent because of its lower origin to the heart. 5) The cranial autonomic nerves tend to distribute into the heart medially (arterial porta), and the caudal autonomic nerves tend to distribute into the heart laterally (venous porta). To comprehend the comparative morphological and evolutionary changes more completely, these results were compared with our previous studies and some references. Consequently, differences in the sympathetic cardiac nerves of macaques and humans are recognized, in spite of the similar morphologies of the vagal cardiac branches. These differences include the composition of the cervicothoracic ganglion, the lower positions of the middle cervical and cervicothoracic ganglia, and the narrow range for the origin of the cardiac nerves in macaques compared to that in humans.  相似文献

In 20 anesthetized dogs the thoracic autonomic nerves were carefully exposed in order to determine which produced cardiovascular responses when the afferent or efferent component of each was stimulated. Efferent parasympathetic and sympathetic fibers arise from the caudal cervical ganglion regions bilaterally as well as from the vagus caudally to that ganglion. The majority of negative chromotropic, dromotropic and inotropic fibers arise from the vagus or near the recurrent laryngeal nerves; however, some small parasympathetic fibers also arise from the vagi down to the level of the pulmonary vessels. Efferent sympathetic nerves are relatively large with the exception of the stellate cardiac nerves, and produce specific positive chronotropic or inotropic responses. Afferent fibers are numerous in the recurrent cardiac, innominate, ventromedial and dorsal nerves and not very numerous in both stellate cardiac nerves as well as in the nerves at the level of the pulmonary vessels; thus there are numerous cholinergic and adrenergic efferent fibers which exhibit specific chronotropic or inotropic responses. The correlation between neural anatomy and specific physiological cardiodynamics illustrates beautifully the interrelationship of structure and function which exists within the autonomic nervous system.  相似文献

Neurohistochemical methods were applied to study adrenergic and cholinergic nervous structures of pulmonary tissue in 30 patients aged 14-82 who had died of burn disease at various stages of its progress (shock, toxemia, septic toxemia). Autopsies performed within 4 hours after the patients' death evidenced mediators depletion in perivascular and peribronchial plexuses as well as intensive luminescence of nervous fibers considered as compensatory adaptation. There was cholinesterase hypoactivity in cholinergic plexuses. It is established that the failure of adaptive-trophic sympathetic regulation of pulmonary tissues including relevant vessels and bronchi results in diminution of pulmonary compensatory and adaptive potential. This should be allowed for in the treatment of burn disease complications.  相似文献

Choline- and adrenergic innervation of intracerebral branches of the middle and posterior cerebral arteries has been investigated histochemically and electron microscopically in slices, or after their preparation after W. Penfield. The vessels have been studied in the area of the fields 41, 17 of the cerebrum, trunk and spinal cord of the human being, cat and dog. When studying innervation of the intracerebral arteries (ICA), the preparation method has some advantages in comparison with investigation of these vessels in slices of the brain. Around most of the ICA from 200 up to 30 mcm in the diameter choline- and adrenergic nervous conductors are revealed. Using the method for calculating varicosities in nervous plexuses, it is demonstrated that degree of the ICA innervation is two times less than that in the arteries of similar caliber in the cerebral pia mater.  相似文献

The innervation to the cardiac organs and vessels of the octopods Eledone cirrhosa, E. moschata and Octopus vulgaris is described from vitally stained fresh material and wax-embedded sections. This innervation arises from the paired visceral nerves and includes two main peripheral ganglia (fusiform and cardiac) on each side. Several new details of the innervation are reported. Nerves supplying the lateral venae cavae arise from the ventricular nerves at the level of the ventricle. Nerve fibres run to the efferent branchial vessels from the cardiac ganglia. A small ganglion, lying on the auriculo-ventricular nerve, is described for some specimens of both species of Eledone, and is named the auricular ganglion. Commissural strands linking the right and left ventricular nerves of either side are found in Eledone, comparable to those previously described from Octopus. The detailed branching pattern of the innervation shows considerable individual variation and consistent interspecific differences. In E. cirrhosa the fine fibres innervating the inner and outer muscle layers of the auricle show distinct differences in their configuration. Innervation at the surface of the ventricular lumen and around the coronary arterial vessels shows evidence of specialization. The muscle of the branchial heart, particularly the valve leaflets at the junction of the heart and the lateral vena cava, is abundantly innervated. The observations are discussed in relation to other cephalopods and to their probable physiological significance. It is suggested that they provide evidence for a greater degree of neural influence in the control of the cardiac organs than is usually supposed and that they support the idea that the lateral venae cavae have a significant role in the generation of circulatory pressures.  相似文献

Adrenergic innervation of the human gall bladder was studied using two specific fluorescence histochemical methods. Blue-green fluorescing varicose nerves were scarce and mostly followed the course of blood vessels as typical perivascular plexuses. However, some adrenergic nerves not associated with the vessels were occasionally seen, as well as structures suggestive of a pericellular arrangement of varicose adrenergic nerve terminals on non-fluorescing ganglion cells. A few enterochromaffin cells were seen in the epithelial lining, also in the deep invaginations obviously representing the Aschoff-Rokitansky sinuses. Occasionally, small rounded cells with a rounded, relatively large nucleus, and exhibiting a weak yellow-green to blue-green granular cytoplasmic fluorescence, were observed in the wall of the gall bladder. The possible functional and evolutionary significance of these neural and endocrine elements was discussed against the data on physiological and pharmacological studies obtained from the literature. It was concluded that their significance is, in all probability, secondary to the influence of the intestinal polypeptide hormones, vagal innervation and circulating catecholamines upon the normal function of the gall bladder. The glyoxylic acid-induced fluorescence histochemical method was found to be superior to the conventional formaldehyde technique in studies on human tissue.  相似文献

Thoracoscopic upper lobectomy has been performed with the da Vinci surgical system in human cadavers. A minithoracotomy and two additional thoraco ports provided access to the thoracic cavity. An auxiliary port was used for both retraction of the lung and suction. The pulmonary vessels were ligated by robotic instruments, and the bronchi were divided after suturing robotically or with automatic staplers. A standard lymph node dissection was performed. The current da Vinci surgical system provided superior optics and enhanced dexterity. The application of the system for minimally invasive lobectomy may add benefits for both surgeon and patients.  相似文献

Cholinergic innervation of the human pulmonary circulation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The cholinergic innervation of the pulmonary circulation was studied in man. Both extra- and intrapulmonary branches of the pulmonary artery and vein are provided with a cholinergic of the vein. In the main branches of the pulmonary vessels, the existence of two nerve plexuses, a superficial and a deep one, was observed. The superficial plexus is localized in the outer adventitial layer while the deeper plexus is localized in the adventitial-medial transitional zone. In smaller arteries and veins, the existence of a single plexus (adventitial-medial) was observed. In some specimens, the presence of diffuse masses of acetylcholinesterase (AChE)-positive material or elbow-shaped AChE-positive formations was observed. The nature of these formations as well as the possible functional role of a cholinergic system in the pulmonary circulation are discussed.  相似文献

The intermesenteric plexus is an independent formation, it is connected with other plexuses in the abdominal and pelvic cavities and participates in innervation of organs. In the species investigated (mole, rat, cat, dog, man) connections between the intermesenteric and other vegetative plexuses in the abdominal and pelvic cavities vary according to their amount and complexity, they are most abundant and complex in man. In the latter the plexus is also mostly rich in neuro-fibrillar and neuro-cellular elements. In the intermesenteric plexus of the man and the animals studied there is a rather big part of vegetative ganglia, which can be considered as peripheral centers of the internal abdominal organs innervation.  相似文献

Summary The overall distribution of substance P (SP) immunoreactive (IR) nerves surrounding the cerebral arteries of the bent-winged bat were investigated immunohistochemically. In this microchiropteran species, the walls from the vertebral artery to the caudal part of the basilar artery have considerably well-developed plexuses of SP-IR nerves, whereas no demonstrable SP-IR fibers were found in the crostral part of the basilar artery, and in more rostrally located arteries the nerve supply was very sparse or occasionally lacking. This innervation pattern has not yet been established for the cerebral arterial systems of other mammals that have been studied under normal conditions, but it is very similar to the pattern of SP-IR innervation observed in the guinea pig and cat of which the trigeminal ganglia have been destroyed. From the combination of this and other immunohistochemical findings, it is suggested that SP-IR nerves innervating the vertebral and basilar arteries of the bent-winged bat originate from the upper cervical dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and enter the cranial cavity along the vertebral artery and through the meninges.Abbreviations BA basilar artery - CSN cervical spinal nerves - ICS internal carotid system - SCG superior cervical ganglion - SNB sympathetic nerve bundle - VA vertebral artery - VBS vertebro-basilar system  相似文献

Summary The distribution of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) immunoreactivity has been studied in the mammalian heart and compared with that of neurotensin and substance P by use of light-microscopic peroxidase-antiperoxidase immunohistochemistry. VIP-immunoreactive cell bodies are present in intracardiac ganglia in various locations. VIP-immunoreactive nerve fibers predominate in the atria and the conduction system but are rare in the ventricles and occur in cardiac ganglia, endocardium, and epicardium. VIP-ergic nerves supply the coronary vasculature having a preference for the microvasculature and the nodal cells of the sinuatrial node. The large vessels of the heart and periarterial cardiac glomera also receive a VIP-immunoreactive nerve supply. There is partial co-distribution with neurotensin- and substance P-immunoreactive nerve fibers but no co-location in identical nerve fibers is detectable. The VIP-ergic cardiac innervation, which is probably predominantly intrinsic, may stem from postganglionic parasympathetic neurons and is less substantial than the more homogeneous neurotensin-ergic and substance P-ergic nervous supply which is probably extrinsic. The occurrence of an extrinsic VIP-ergic cardiac innervation cannot be excluded however. The differential histotopography of the multitarget cardiac nerves containing the cardiovascular active peptides VIP, neurotensin and substance P may suggest multiple and complex peptide-peptide and peptide-classical transmitter interactions. These may contribute to the regulation of various cardiac functions.  相似文献

Nerves and nerve plexuses of the human vertebral column   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The origin, distribution, and termination pattern of nerves supplying the vertebral column and its associated structures have been studied in the human fetus by means of an acetylcholinesterase whole-mount method. The vertebral column is surrounded by ventral and dorsal nerve plexuses which are interconnected. The ventral nerve plexus consists of the nerve plexus associated with the anterior longitudinal ligament. This longitudinally oriented nerve plexus has a bilateral supply from many small branches of the sympathetic trunk, rami communicantes, and perivascular nerve plexuses of segmental arteries. In the thoracic region, the ventral nerve plexus also is connected to the nerve plexuses of costovertebral joints. The dorsal nerve plexus is made up of the nerve plexus associated with the posterior longitudinal ligament. This nerve plexus is more irregular and receives contributions only from the sinu-vertebral nerves. The sinu-vertebral nerves originate from the rami communicantes and, in the cervical region, also from the nerve plexus of the vertebral artery. Thick and thin sinu-vertebral nerves are found. Most frequently three types of thick sinu-vertebral nerves are observed, i.e., ascending, descending, or dichotomizing ones. Finally, the distribution of the branches of the ventral and dorsal nerve plexuses and of the sinu-vertebral nerves is described.  相似文献

The intermediate nerve (IN) in embryogenesis of man, cat and white rat is formed similarly. From the common with the VIII cranial nerve anlage the geniculum node, the vestibular and cochlear ganglia are emerged. A separated root of the IN connects the geniculum node with the nuclei, situating in the CNS. From the geniculum node main branches of the IN get off: the greater petrosal nerve and the cord of the tympanum, its fibers in the temporal bone canal run in the facial nerve trunk. In the periphery the IN branches unite with other cranial nerves, make connections with branches of vegetative (parasympathetic) ganglia and plexuses. They spread along a large territory, forming a system of parasympathetic innervation in the area of the head and ensuring with specific nervous apparatuses the gustatory organ. It is expedient to select the IN into an independent cranial nerve and confirm it the number of the regular pair.  相似文献
