The study of the microflora of the large intestine in healthy adult volunteers of different age groups (25-36, 55-68 and 88-94 years old), living in Switzerland, has been carried out. As revealed by the analysis of the result obtained in this study, normal intestinal microflora in adults has different qualitative and quantitative characteristics at different periods of their life. The greatest diversity of intestinal microflora is observed at a mature age (55-68 years old), while the poorest microflora is observed in people more advanced in age. The amount of microorganisms inhabiting the intestine reaches its maximum in people of mature age and is low in elderly people. Changes in normal intestinal microflora are probaly linked with morpho-functional transformations in the host body at different periods of life. It is expedient to work out the criteria of norm for the microflora of different age groups with a view to use these criteria for the evaluation of the microbial status of the intestine in persons of different age.  相似文献

Intestinal microflora was studied in 3 groups of children; 55--living in Mongolia, 18--in Switzerland and 28--in Russia. Age of children of both sexual groups was 1.5-3 years. This study revealed that in none of these groups of clinically healthy children living in different regions and having different diet normal intestinal microflora corresponded to the standard considered to be the norm. The revision of norm criteria for normal intestinal microflora in children is recommended.  相似文献

Bama County (Guangxi, China) is famous for its longevous population. In this study, intestinal microflora of 17 healthy elderly subjects of different ages and from different regions (rural and urban) in Bama, were analyzed by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Significant effects of age and living region on the whole intestinal bacterial communities were observed by redundancy analysis (RDA). A total of 11 bacterial strains that were correlated with age and living region were identified using a t-value biplot combined with band sequencing. Four bacterial strains were correlated with both age and living region of the elderly in Bama. Two Bacteroides strains and one Ruminococcaceae strain were abundant in the rural, younger elderly; conversely, one Desulfovibrio strain was high in the urban, older elderly. Another Bacteroidetes strain was only correlated with the participant’s age, and its abundance increased with the age of the elderly. The richness of one Clostridium sordellii strain, which was only correlated with the elderly living region, was high in the urban elderly. The study also found five other novel bacterial strains that were correlated with the age or living region of the elderly in Bama. These results expand our understanding of age- and region-effects on the intestinal microflora of the elderly and raise the possibility of developing probiotics originating from centenarians.  相似文献

The state of microflora of the large intestine in 877 persons of different age groups in Kemerovo was studied. The study revealed that intestinal dysbacteriolysis of various degrees of severity was rather widely spread among the residents of the city. 目的研究用西藏灵菇对抗生素引起的肠道菌群失调及病理变化的调整作用.方法由林可霉素造成小鼠腹泻模型,并证实肠道菌群紊乱后,将其分成灵菇奶治疗组和自然恢复组,7 d后对每个组小鼠进行肠道菌群检测,同时取回肠末段组织标本用光镜及电镜观察黏膜结构的变化.结果抗生素模型组大多数小鼠肠道黏膜出现不同程度的损害,小鼠肠道的正常菌群及病理组织改变基本恢复正常.结论灵菇奶不仅对肠道菌群有调整作用,而且对肠黏膜的修复有一定作用.  相似文献

This study has revealed the existence of microflora which is, to different degrees, associated with the intestinal mucosa of pike. A total of 82 bacterial strains have been isolated. These microorganisms produce enzymes that hydrolyze the major food substrates (proteins and carbohydrates). These enzymes are produced by the pool of various microorganisms living in the intestines, as well as by separate strains isolated in pure cultures. These strains produce enzymes with different levels of activity. Most of the isolated strains (68%) produce proteases. The calculated values of the C/P factor (the ratio of carbohydrase to protease activity) indirectly testify to the autochthonous nature of the microflora associated with the intestinal mucosa of pike. Presumably, the contribution that the microflora enzymes make to the enzymatic activity of the pike intestine is substantial, but it is difficult to estimate now.  相似文献

The analysis of the intestinal microflora in 2,378 patients of different age revealed changes in the state of enteric microflora in all examined patients. In the maximum percent of cases a decrease in the amount of bifidobacteria was observed in children of up to 1 month old and in the amount of lactobacilli, in children aged 6 - 14 years. In patients of all age groups the representatives of such facultative microflora as Staphylococcus aureus or fungi of the genus Candida dominated. The highest proportion of isolated staphylococci was characteristic of children in the first year of life. In the highest percent of cases a decrease in the amount of Escherichia coli with typical properties was observed in persons over 65 years old. Other enterobacteria were most often isolated from adults aged 56 - 65, but the percentage of their isolation was 1.5 times lower than that of Candida. The conclusion was made that the treatment of patients with quantitative and qualitative disturbances of normal enteric microflora needed individual approach in each concrete case with due regard to the patient's age.  相似文献

Geographic pathology of Helicobacter pylori gastritis   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
BACKGROUND AND AIM: Helicobacter pylori is etiologically associated with gastritis and gastric cancer. There are significant geographical differences between the clinical manifestation of H. pylori infections. The aim of this study was to compare gastric mucosal histology in relation to age among H. pylori-infected patients from different geographical areas using the same grading system. The prevalence of atrophy and intestinal metaplasia were also compared with the respective gastric cancer incidence in the different countries. METHODS: A total of 1906 patients infected with H. pylori from seven countries were evaluated. Entry criteria included H. pylori positive cases with antral and corpus biopsies between the ages of 18 and 75 years. The minimum number of cases required from a country was 100. Hematoxylin-eosin stained biopsies from antrum and corpus were scored semiquantitatively using the parameters suggested by the Sydney Classification System. Statistical evaluation was performed using Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman's rank correlation test. RESULTS: The severity of gastric atrophy varied among the different groups with the highest scores being present in Japan. The lowest scores were found in four European countries and in Thailand. The scores for intestinal metaplasia were low in general except for Xi-an, Japan, and Shanghai. For all the countries, the presence of atrophy in the antrum correlated well (r = 0.891) with the incidence of gastric cancer. CONCLUSION: Using a standardized grading system in a large study of H. pylori-related geographic pathology, we found major differences in the overall prevalence and severity of H. pylori gastritis in relation to age. These differences mirrored the respective incidences of gastric cancer in those geographical areas.  相似文献

The study of the qualitative and quantitative composition of intestinal microflora in 15 anthropoid apes, 60 lower primates and 72 monkeys with clinically pronounced dysbacteriosis was made, which revealed the prevalence of microorganisms belonging to the genus Proteus, a decrease in the biological activity of normal Escherichia coli and in the content of bifido- and lactobacteria. The treatment of 39 rhesus and pig-tailed macaques with the preparations of live bacteria occurring in normal human microflora led to clinical convalescence and the normalization of the bacteriocenosis, while in 33 control animals no positive shifts in clinical and bacteriological data were observed. The essential similarity of the composition of intestinal microflora in higher and lower primates and in man makes it possible to use these animals as models for testing the effectiveness of new biological preparations and determines the expediency of using bacterial therapy for the treatment of monkeys at the period of acclimatization.  相似文献

目的研究品种、日龄和饲养方式对肉鸡肠道菌群的影响。方法选择北京油鸡和AA肉鸡各120只,分笼养和地面平养两种饲养方式,每种饲养方式60只鸡(5个重复,每个重复12只),于7、14、21和42日龄无菌收集十二指肠、回肠和盲肠内容物,分析各肠段肠道菌群变化。结果 (1)从十二指肠、回肠到盲肠微生物种类越来越丰富,相同肠段不同处理间随日龄的增加微生物种类也不断增加,十二指肠、回肠主要菌是植物乳酸杆菌和双歧杆菌,盲肠主要菌是拟杆菌和梭菌,且AA肉鸡拟杆菌数量大于北京油鸡;(2)品种对十二指肠和回肠条带数影响不显著,但北京油鸡大于AA肉鸡,日龄对回肠条带数的影响显著。品种与日龄的互作对盲肠的影响显著,品种、日龄和饲养方式三个处理的互作对回肠条带数的影响显著。(3)十二指肠各处理间肠道菌群的相似性在42日龄达到稳定,回肠在21日龄稳定,盲肠从7日龄到42日龄各处理间肠道菌群相似性变化不大。结论不同肠段的微生物区系有明显差异,品种、日龄和饲养方式对肉鸡肠道微生物区系有不同影响,但微生物区系会随着肉鸡日龄的增加趋于稳定。  相似文献

目的 对比分析结肠癌患者肠道菌群数量变化的特点,为结肠癌的治疗提供新途径。方法 选取2014年6月至2015年6月在本院就诊的结肠癌患者48例为试验组,同期在本院体检的48例健康者为对照组。取两组患者粪便标本进行传统菌落培养与计数检测,同时采用荧光定量聚合酶链反应(qPCR)法检测肠道细菌相对含量与相关基因表达拷贝数。结果 菌落计数结果显示试验组大肠埃希菌、屎肠球菌和酵母菌数量多于对照组,而双歧杆菌和乳酸杆菌数量少于对照组,组间比较差异均有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论 结肠癌患者大肠埃希菌、屎肠球菌和酵母菌数量明显增加,双歧杆菌和乳酸杆菌数量明显减少,肠道菌群数量变化在结肠癌的发生和发展中可能发挥一定作用。  相似文献

The veterinary probiotic preparation was developed on the basis of aerobic part of bacterial strains of normal human intestinal microflora: 3 strains of Escherichia coli--G35No1-413, G35No2-412, G35No3-411, and one Enterococcus faecalis G35No4-410 strain. The influence of a pilot lot of the prepapration on the biochemical blood indices and the state of intestinal microflora of different age groups of young farm animal (calves and piglets) was studied during the process of the commission tests. It has been shown, that the developed probiotic promotes the improvement of protein and mineral metabolism, normalization of level of enzyme activities, which show state of the native immunity of the young farm animals' organism. It was the result of normalization of the intestinal microflora composition. The optimal doses and periods of intake have been determined. On the basis of executed researches the veterinary probiotic preparation has been presented for registration to the State Department of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine.  相似文献

The microbial status of the intestine and the influence of lavage with polyethylene glycol and balanced electrolyte solution (PEG + E), used in the process of the preparation of patients to polypectomy, on this status were evaluated. The study of microflora was made before oral lavage after, and 48-72 hours later its completion. For control, a group of healthy volunteers, also subjected to oral lavage with PEG + E, was used. The lavage of the digestive tract with PEG + E led to a sharp change in the microbial status in both groups. Some microorganisms, previously absent in the intestine, were found after lavage. The processes of the restoration of intestinal microflora after lavage in healthy volunteers and in patients with polyps had certain differences. In healthy volunteers intestinal microflora was completely restored, and even improved, 48-72 hours after lavage with PEG + E, while at the expiration of this time intestinal microflora in the patients with polyps could be characterized as dysbiotic.  相似文献

In 1997-1999 observation was made on elderly people living in old people's homes and in families, as well as groups of young males living in hostel-type homes, altogether 4,518 subjects. Standard inactivated whole-virion influenza vaccine was introduced in a dose of 0.5 ml subcutaneously in a single injection or intranasally in two administrations. In control groups placebo was used. The frequency of seroconversions to vaccine strains of influenza viruses was significantly less in elderly people than in young people following both subcutaneous and intranasal immunization (on the average, by 15-20%). In young people the prophylactic effectiveness of the vaccine introduced intranasally was the same as after subcutaneous immunization with the effectiveness index (EI) being equal to 2.1-2.8. In elderly people the effectiveness of the vaccine after subcutaneous immunization was the same as in young people (EI = 1.7-2.7), but insufficient after intranasal immunization (EI < or = 1.6). The preparation "Amber elixir plus" enhanced the effectiveness of immunization against influenza in elderly people.  相似文献

Background

To integrate immigrants into their societies, European countries have adopted different types of policies, which may influence health through both material and psychosocial determinants. Recent studies have suggested poorer health outcomes for immigrants living in countries with poorly rated integration policies.

Objective

To analyse mortality differences of immigrants from the same country of origin living in countries with distinct integration policy contexts.

Methods

From the mortality dataset collected in the Migrant Ethnic Health Observatory (MEHO) project, we chose the Netherlands (linked data from 1996-2006), France (unlinked; 2005-2007) and Denmark (linked; 1992-2001) as representatives of the inclusive, assimilationist and exclusionist policy models, respectively, based on the Migrant Integration Policy Index. We calculated for each country sex- and age-standardized mortality rates for Turkish-, Moroccan- and local-born populations aged 20-69 years. Poisson regression was used to estimate the mortality rate ratios (MRRs) for cross-country and within-country comparisons. The analyses were further stratified by age group and cause of death.

Results

Compared with their peers in the Netherlands, Turkish-born immigrants had higher all-cause mortality in Denmark (MRR men 1.92; 95% CI 1.74-2.13 and women 2.11; 1.80-2.47) but lower in France (men 0.64; 0.59-0.69 and women 0.58; 0.51-0.67). A similar pattern emerged for Moroccan-born immigrants. The relative differences between immigrants and the local-born population were also largest in Denmark and lowest in France (e.g., Turkish-born men MRR 1.52; 95% CI 1.38-1.67 and 0.62; 0.58-0.66, respectively). These patterns were consistent across all age groups, and more marked for cardiovascular diseases.

Conclusions

Although confounders and data comparability issues (e.g., French cross-sectional data) may affect the findings, this study suggests that different macro-level policy contexts may influence immigrants’ mortality. Comparable mortality registration systems across Europe along with detailed socio-demographic information on immigrants may help to better assess this association.  相似文献

The socioeconomic milieu has benefits and drawbacks for determining level of nutrition. The Indian population provides an excellent example of nutrition-driven adaptation. The present paper deals with the relationship between BMI (body mass index) and traditional occupation and process of adaptation among adult males of Central India. Anthropometric data collected by the Anthropological Survey of India on stature, sitting height and weight of 6663 adult males belonging to 22 castes were used for computation of BMI and Cormic index. The caste groups earning their living as labourers are found to be shortest (157.4+/-6.5 cm), and the caste group practising priesthood are tallest (168.6+/-6.6 cm). The prevalence of chronic energy deficiency is found to be highest (72%) among castes earning their living as daily wage labourers. The ANOVA on Cormic index and BMI suggests that people within the same occupational group are more homogeneous than those from different occupational groups. The t test also supports the homogeneity of the same occupational group.  相似文献

Intestinal microflora analysis was performed on 52 healthy elderly subjects of different ages and in different regions in Bama County, Guangxi, China. The participants were assigned to three groups depending on their age and location: longevous (group M; mean age = 98 years; n = 21); rural younger elderly (group S; mean age = 70 years; n = 18); and urban elderly (group C; mean age = 82 years; n = 13). Ten groups of bacteria were quantified using real-time PCR. Age-related differences were observed in the number of Clostridium coccoidesEubacterium rectale—there were more in longevous participants. Region affected the numbers of BacteroidesPrevotella and Clostridium perfringens subgroup, and longevous participants had significantly more of the two bacterial groups than urban elderly participants. Region-related effects were also observed for the relative abundance of E. coli, and rural elderly participants had a lower proportion. Both age and regional effects were observed in the amount of total bacteria, and longevous participants had higher numbers than urban elderly participants. A significantly higher proportion of lactobacilli was observed in rural younger elderly participants than urban elderly participants, but independent age or regional effects did not contribute to this difference. This study suggests that age and region can affect the intestinal microflora of elderly people.  相似文献

Published data on the taxonomic composition of the intestinal bacterial flora in fishes living under different conditions (marine and freshwater fishes) and differing in the type of feeding are reviewed. The results confirm the conclusion that the composition of intestinal microflora differs depending on fish ecology. A limited number of bacterial taxa found in the intestines of some fish species may be evidence not only for a low diversity of these bacteria but also for insufficient knowledge about them. Considerable differences in the composition of intestinal microflora in marine and freshwater fishes are described.  相似文献

In 2100 children of different age groups the microbiocenosis of the large intestine was studied. The study revealed that the colonization of the mucous membrane of the large intestine with staphylococci developed in 30% of children with intestinal dysbacteriosis. Young children were mainly affected (91%). The prevailing species among isolated staphylococci was S. aureus (86%), capable of persistence in the intestine (30.9%). In children non typing S. aureus strains mainly circulated (70%), and among phage-typing strains isolates of phage group III prevailed (70.2%). The colonization of the intestine with coagulase-negative staphylococci was possible (14%). Microecological intestinal disturbances in children of different age groups were characterized by different degrees of changes in normal microflora with the prevalence of opportunistic microorganisms in the microbial picture.  相似文献

The process of urbanisation taking place in most developing countries is creating favourable conditions for an increase in prevalence of infections, especially with intestinal parasites, in the marginal areas of the towns. The present study was implemented in 1996 to assess the varying prevalence and intensity of infection among young workers in urban and rural areas of the same Governorate (Alexandria, Egypt). The sample comprised 408 male subjects, 8 to 19 years of age, in various occupations: 308 from urban areas, 67 from an industrialised village close to the desert, and 33 from a rural village. A quantitative diagnosis of intestinal helminth infections was made using the Kato-Katz technique, with a double reading of each slide. The results showed a higher prevalence (> 50%) and intensity of infection (indirectly measured as number of eggs per gram of faeces) than in previous studies. Furthermore, a higher prevalence and intensity of infection with Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura was detected in urban districts, as compared to rural areas. This difference was statistically significant. High crowding index, latrine shared with other families and no piped water inside the household, were more common in urban areas as compared with rural settlements and also associated with a higher intensity of infection by soil-transmitted helminths. The trend toward urbanisation seems to have caused deterioration of living conditions and sanitation standards in some areas of Alexandria city, with the most vulnerable people experiencing an increase in intestinal parasitic infections.  相似文献
