Blood vessels of 167 eyeballs of human embryos and fetuses have been studied, using macro- microscopical, histological and morphometrical methods. Time of appearance and differentiation of blood vessels in the eye anlage has been determined. Topography and architecture of the vitreous body artery are described in detail, as well as the vascular tunic of the lens and the pupil membrane. Regularities and time of reversal development of the vascular formations mentioned are followed during the whole intrauterine development. The data obtained add to extend our knowledge on the role of disturbances of the normal morphogenesis of the eyeball blood bed in pathogenesis of its congenital diseases.  相似文献

Structural alterations of blood vessels in hypertensive rats   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Vascular changes in the mesenteric arteries were examined in three animals models for human essential hypertension. These models are: spontaneously hypertensive rats, which develop hypertension with age; Dahl model of genetic, salt-dependent hypertensive rats; and deoxycorticosterone-salt hypertensive rats. Morphometric measurements of the arterial wall components (e.g., endothelium, media) were carried out in the elastic arteries, muscular arteries, and arteriolar vessels from the mesenteric bed. The observed changes were correlated with the stages of hypertension development and the effect of antihypertension therapy, including sympathectomy. Specific emphasis was made to determine whether the changes observed were primary in nature, and related to the causes of hypertension, or they were secondary adaptive changes. A comparison of the three models showed that common changes in the intima, media, and adventitia were present in the three models. Alterations in the endothelium (e.g., enlargement of subendothelial space, necrotic changes), adventitia (collagen increase), and hypertrophy of the smooth muscle cells are secondary adaptive changes, because these changes occur subsequent to the development of hypertension, and antihypertensive therapy also prevent these changes from taking place. In contrast, hyperplasia of the smooth muscle cells is a primary change, because it occurs prior to the onset of hypertension. Functionally, alteration in the media is probably the most important change, because it can cause hyperreactivity of the arteries in response to stimulation. Damage to the endothelial cells may play a role in the maintenance of hypertension during the later phase. The anterior blood space of the cavernous sinus is situated anterolateral to the carotid siphon in 70%, anterior to it in 15%, and lateral to it in 15%. Its height, depth, and mediolateral breadth were measured. The mean distance between the carotid siphon and the skin at the supraorbital foramen was measured with 63 (52.4-71.4) mm. The drainage of the orbital veins was studied and described as well as the area of origin and first course of the ophthalmic artery and its clinical importance.  相似文献

Serial paraffin sections (mostly stained with hematoxylin and eosin) of 52 human embryos at stages ranging from 13 to 20 (approximate ovulation age of 5-8 weeks) were examined. The first sign of definitive blood vessels was found to be localized in the apical incisure of the heart of an embryo at stage 14. Blood vessels of this kind closely resembled 'blood islands' in appearance, being composed of primitive erythroblasts surrounded by an outer layer of endothelium. At stage 16, a funnel-like invagination of the endothelium was recognized in the posterior wall of the sinus venosus. This structure was considered to represent one of the cardiac veins (probably the middle cardiac vein). A faint endothelial sprout of the left coronary artery was detected at stage 18, while the right one was observed later, at stage 19. Finally, at stage 20, both of the coronary arteries invariably existed with a covering of mesenchymal cells.  相似文献

By means of the injection method the lymphatic vessels, running to the lymph nodes of various localization, have been studied. Their architectonics in the lymph node capsule is revealed. In the capsule the afferent vessels make peculiar broom-like formations. They are named terminal arborizations of afferent lymphatic vessels (TAALV). Two types of such arborizations are described: palm-like, peculiar for the somatic type of the lymph nodes, and tree-like, specific for visceral nodes. The TAALV diameter is 15-20 mcm. They come across the nodal capsule, penetrating it obliquely with numerous holes. In the TAALV wall myocytes are revealed. Together with the capsule muscular elements they might play a role of the most important factors in the mechanism of lymph circulation.  相似文献

The adrenergic innervation of blood vessel wall was studied in various vascular beds of adult rats with experimental hypertension induced by the constriction of the aorta between the origins of both renal arteries. A moderate expansion of body fluids was demonstrated in this hypertensive model. The decrease of the density of adrenergic plexus in the vessel wall as well as the diminished catecholamine fluorescence were found only in renal vessels. These changes were pronounced in the left renal artery and vein even if the left kidney was not subjected to elevated blood pressure. Thus the alteration of vascular adrenergic innervation in hypertensive rats is not a consequence of high blood pressure but it seems to be a part of neurohumoral pathogenetic mechanisms.  相似文献

To understand the regulation of vasopressin (AVP) receptors in spontaneous hypertension, we investigated the pressor response of AVP in the perfused mesenteric vasculature, AVP binding sites in the membrane preparation of the same vascular bed, and the production of inositol trisphosphate (InsP3) stimulated by AVP in the aorta of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY), and Wistar rats (WR) at different ages (4-16 weeks). Plasma AVP concentrations were similar in SHR, WKY, and WR at all ages. The density of AVP vascular binding sites was significantly higher in WKY than in SHR and WR at 12 weeks. Receptor affinity was similar in all strains. The pressor response of the mesenteric vasculature to AVP was similar in the three strains of rats at 4 weeks (prehypertensive stage) and increased progressively in SHR compared with WKY and WR at 8 and 12 weeks of age by 43 and 35%, respectively, and by more than 80% at 16 weeks of age (established hypertensive stage). There was no difference in vascular sensitivity to AVP. A significantly increased pressor response to a supramaximal dose of norepinephrine was also found at 16 weeks in SHR, but not in younger rats. InsP3 production in the aorta in response to AVP was increased in SHR at 8, 12, and 16 weeks, compared with WKY and WR. These results suggest that the vascular response to AVP is increased in SHR, in spite of decreased or normal density of binding sites compared with WKY or WR.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

The total norepinephrine (NE) content, the uptake of [3H]NE, the turnover rate and the synthesis rate of the neurotransmitter at the heart and blood vessels have been studied during the development of hypertension in rats subjected to bilateral renal infarction. Normal and sham-operated rats were used as controls. Fifty percent of the rats with renal infarction became hypertensive. The weight of the hearts and blood vessels of the experimental animals was significantly increased 15 days after renal infarction. Changes were greater in hypertensive animals. NE concentration in the heart was slightly decreased without achieving statistical significance, while total NE content was unchanged. In the artery wall NE concentration was significantly decreased in normotensive and hypertensive operated rats. [3H]NE uptake in the heart and blood vessels was similar in experimental and control animals. In relation to NE turnover, in both the heart and blood vessels, normal and sham-operated animals behaved as one population while normotensive and hypertensive rats behaved as another population. The rate constant of NE turnover was increased in both tissues of operated experimental animals without achieving statistical significance in the case of the heart. NE synthesis rate was unchanged in the cardiac muscle but was significantly increased in the blood vessels of operated animals. Present data indicate that results describing NE dynamics in the heart cannot be extrapolated for the blood vessels level; on the other hand changes in the neurotransmitter do not seem to be related to the development of high blood pressure after renal infarction in the rat.  相似文献

Ten minutes before the injection the rat is given heparin (500 units per 1 kg weight) intradermally. To the narcotized animal, the needle with the 1 ml syringe is inserted and 3--5 ml of blood are aspirated (about 2% of the body mass). Then with the same needle another syringe of 10 ml volume containing filtrated and heated up to 40 degrees C undiluted Indian ink is injected. The amount of the Indian ink injected is 8--10 ml per 100 g of the body mass. We can consider the injection oa success if the mucose of the tongue, the skin of the concha auriculae, the sclera of the eye are promptly stained during the injection and the tail vessels are well filled.  相似文献

The neural apparatus of the aorta, abdominal vein, ischiatic, femoral, pulmonary and caudal vessels has been studied histochemically in tadpoles (the 30th-50th stages of development) and in 1-year-old animals. It has been stated for the first time that in the frog, a representative of the Amphibia class, like in mammals and birds, formation of the adrenergic apparatus in various vessels does not take place simultaneously. For instance, the first adrenergic fibers in the hind limb vessels appear much earlier than in other arteries and veins. The process of the adrenergic innervation development and its completion in vessels of various areas is taking its course differently. In the aorta and in the abdominal vein the formation of the adrenergic plexus develops as increasing density and amount of the mediator in the adrenergic fibers and is completed with maturation in an adult animal. In contrast to these vessels, maturation of the adrenergic apparatus in the hind limb arteries and veins takes place during a shorter interval and is completed at the end of metamorphosis AchE-containing fibers are revealed in tadpoles, as well as in a mature frog only in the aortal arc and in the pulmonary artery. In these vessels the development of cholinergic innervation leaves behind that of the adrenergic innervation, as it does in the vessels of Mammalia, and the human subject.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to assess the changes in gene expression and peptide adrenomedullin (AM) levels in cardiovascular and other tissues in the streptozotocin-diabetic rats. For this purpose, diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ, 65 mg/Kg body weight). Half of the diabetic rats were subcutaneously injected with insulin in the afternoon (4 units/day) one week after STZ injection until the day before killing. Control rats received only saline injection. AM mRNA was determined in cardiovascular and other tissues of streptozotocin-diabetic rats using solution-hybridization-RNase protection assay. Circulating AM and peptide AM in cardiovascular and other tissues were estimated using a specific radioimmunoassay. There were increases in preproAM mRNA levels in the left and right ventricles and in the thoracic aorta in both the 2-week and 4-week diabetic rats, but not in the two atria, the mesenteric artery and the lung. In the 2-week diabetic rats, there were decreases in AM contents in the two atria and the lung but an increase in the thoracic aorta. In the 4-week diabetic rats, there were bigger decreases in the atria and also a decrease in the left ventricle. The plasma AM levels were not changed but there was an increase in the excretion of AM in the urine. Our results suggest a possible increase in AM release in the heart and the thoracic aorta in the 2-week and 4-week diabetic rats.  相似文献
