Based on several experiments the following conclusions can be drawn with respect to the influence of social behaviour on the immune system: Depending on the social context, immune functions (and thus also the health of individuals) can be improved or aggravated. Social instability leads to a suppression of many important immune functions. In stable social situations the immune function of dominant individuals is normal (compared to controls)or even improved, while it is more or less decreased in subordinate individuals.Immunomodulation in social situations is primarily based on central nervous processes (affects, emotions), based on the appraisal of the situation by the individuals. 相似文献
