Rifamethoprim is a new formulation containing rifampicin and trimethoprim. Its efficacy was studied in the treatment of a group of patients with various nonspecific diseases of the lungs. It was shown to be highly active against a broad spectrum of pathogens. With inclusion of trimethoprim to the formulation it appeared possible to markedly lower the bacterial ability to develop resistance to rifampicin, which solved the problem of long-term antibiotic use. The unique pharmacokinetic properties of rifampicin such as its capacity to penetrating into the sputum, lung tissues and cells make rifamethoprim be the drug of optimal choice in the treatment of respiratory diseases.  相似文献

The results of the inoculation of material taken from the anterior section of the nasal cavity and from the pharyngeal mucosa of 50 healthy young children and 298 acute pneumonia patients were analyzed. 23 microbial species were isolated. In the samples taken from the anterior section of the nasal cavity, monocultures were detected in 86 samples and 54 variants of associations including 2-4 species, in 139 samples. In the samples taken from the pharynx, monocultures were detected in 59 samples and 180 variants of associations including 2-6 species, in 282 samples. Differences in the contamination of the nasal cavity and the pharynx in healthy children and in pneumonia patients were revealed. These differences were manifested in the structure of the microflora (monocultures, associations, their composition), the assortment of microbial species and their concentration. In young children with pneumonia the microflora of the upper respiratory tract was found to reflect the severity of acute pneumonia and the intensity of the pathological process in the lungs (uncomplicated, pyodestructive pneumonia, pyodestructive pneumonia with fatal termination, acute purulent pleurisy).  相似文献

In this study a participation of anaerobic bacteria in respiratory tract diseases is presented. Bronchial washings collected by ++fibrobronchoscope constituted material for the study. Immediately after collection the material was plated onto two media for aerobic bacteria (hemomedium) and anaerobic bacteria (anaeromedium). Then, the samples were centrifuged and a sediment was plated on solid media suitable for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Bacterial anaerobic isolates were identified by using API 20E and their sensitivity to antibiotics was tested. From the material described above the most frequently isolated anaerobic bacteria were such as: Streptococcus intermedius, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Veilonella sp. Among aerobic bacteria the most frequently isolated were Gram-negative rods, Streptococcus faecalis, Branhamella catarrhalis. It is worth to underline that in about 25% of cases anaerobic bacteria were the only isolates.  相似文献

High efficacy of prodigiozan, a bacterial polysaccharide used in the form of inhalation in combined therapy of 123 children at the age of 3 to 14 with nonspecific bronchopulmonary pathologic conditions was shown. The drug was administered by means of inhalators UI-I and PAI-I once every 4--5 days in the form of 0.02 per cent solution prepared in situ. The single and the course doses were 100--400 and 300--2000 micrograms respectively. The positive therapeutic effect was observed in 85.0 per cent of the patients: improvement of the patient state was registered 4--6 days earlier than that in the control group, the indices of the respiration mechanics and nonspecific immunity (titers of lysozyme and complement) also improved. The rate of viral respiratory diseases among the children treated with prodigiozan decreased 2.5 times. High efficacy and physiological character of the aerosol method for administration of prodigiozan used the the first time in pediatry provided its recommendation for wide use.  相似文献

Upper respiratory tract consists resident and transient bacterial microflora, which in appropriate condition can cause infection. Bacteriological study was performed among 201 patients with upper respiratory tract infections treated in ambulatory. From nasal and pharyngeal swabs Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Moraxella catarrhalis, and Streptococci group A, B, C, G were isolated. Antibiotic susceptibility testing of isolated strains was performed using CLSI criteria. All isolated strains of streptococci were susceptible to penicillin; some of them demonstrated resistance to macrolides and lincosamides. Few isolated strains of H. influenzae demonstrated resistance to penicillin and cotrimoxazole. Azitromycin resistant strains were not detected. All isolated strains of M. catarrhalis were beta-lactamase positive and demonstrated resistance to penicillin. Strains of methicillin sensitive S. aureus (MSSA) were isolated most frequently from pharyngeal swabs (35.4%) and S. pneumoniae (33.3)--from nasal swabs.  相似文献

The data on changes in the susceptibility of the most frequent respiratory tract pathogens i.e. Pneumococcus spp. and Haemophilus influenzae within the last 15 years and Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Moraxella spp. at the present time as well as recommendations based on the original and some literature data on the choice of the antibacterial drugs for the initial treatment of bacterial complications of acute respiratory tract viral infections such as otitis, sinusitis and pharyngitis are presented. The necessity of decreasing the unjustified use of antibiotics in cases of uncomplicated acute respiratory tract viral infections is indicated.  相似文献

During the 7-year period of observation (1982-1988) the serotypes of 276 pneumococcal strains isolated from children with chronic bronchopulmonary diseases were studied. Among the serotypes of pneumococci under study, serotypes 6, 19 and 15 held the leading place and included a half of all typed pneumococci. Dynamic observation on the serotype composition of pneumococci revealed periodic fluctuations in the occurrence of some types/groups. The regional analysis of different serotypes of pneumococci showed the common occurrence of serogroups 6 and 19, as well as some regional features in the circulation of serotypes 6, 10, 3 and rarely occurring serotypes. The study revealed that any new exacerbation of the chronic bronchopulmonary process is caused by pneumococci of some other serotype. Pneumococcal strains, resistant (3.4%) and sensitive (1.8%) to penicillin, were detected; most of them belonged to serogroup 19.  相似文献

The proportion ofCandida and non-Candida species in the clinical material from patients. with respiratory-tract diseases was determined.C. albicans was isolated in 102 cases. An additional 89 strains of yeasts, isolated in association with respiratory diseases, belonged to 10 non-albicans Candida spp. andCryptococcus spp. The prevailing species, which occurred in 47 cases, wasC. parapsilosis. C. tropicalis, C. glabrata, andC. guilliermondii were isolated in 12, 10, and 9 cases, respectively. Four strains ofC. krusei and three strains ofC. lusitaniae and one strain each ofC. freyschussii, C. robusta, C. zeylanoides, andCryptococcus neoformans were also isolated.  相似文献

Material obtained from the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract (the anterior section of the nasal cavity, the fauces) in young children, both healthy and suffering with different forms of acute pneumonia, has been analyzed with due regard to the structure of the microflora, its specific composition and the size of populations formed by different species constituting the microflora. This analysis has made it possible to determine the species constituting normal microflora, to detect its dysbiotic changes, and to determine their degree (partial or complete dysbacteriosis). The degree of pathologic changes in the microecological balance of the upper respiratory tract has been shown to reflect the severity of acute pneumonia and to be determined by the characteristics of the natural resistance system in young children.  相似文献

Examination of 700 children with chronic and relapsing respiratory tract infections showed that during the period from 1996 to 2003 Moraxella catarrhalis strains were isolated from the sputum of 5.5-9.7% of the patients. The frequency of the emergence was the third after Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae. In healthy children M. catarrhalis was isolated in 2.7% of the cases. The most frequent detection of M. catarrhalis was stated in children under 1 year (4.5%). The antibiotic susceptibility tests revealed that the majority of the M. catarrhalis isolates had beta-lactamase activity, were resistant to benzylpenicillin, ampicillin and lincomycin and highly susceptible to amoxycillin/clavulanate, macrolides, certain cephalosporins and levofloxacin. The isolates were most frequent in the patients of the rather severe contingent (congenital lung disease, alveolitis, chronic pneumonia, bronchial asthma). In such patients the bronchoobstructive syndrome was more frequent (46.6%). High frequency of the affection of the upper respiratory tracts in the examined children was stated (62.1%).  相似文献
