本研究的目的是在中年男子中观察禁食情况下吸烟后烟碱对安静时能量消失(resting energy expenditure,REE)和血浆儿茶酚胺浓度的影响,并且在正常体重(BMI≤25kg/m^2),和超重(BMI>25kig/m^2)吸烟者之间比较吸烟引起的REE和血浆儿茶酚胺的急性反应是否有差别,对32名禁食的男性吸烟者用间接测热法分别在吸烟前和吸2支含0.16mg烟碱(低烟碱)或2支含1.74mg烟碱(高烟碱)香烟30min后测定REE,同时测定血浆中烟碱和去甲肾上腺素浓度,正常体重组在吸低烟碱烟后和超重组不认在吸低烟碱烟或高烟碱烟后,REE和血浆儿茶酚胺均无明显改变,而在正常体重组中,吸高烟碱烟后血浆去甲肾上腺素浓度升,时REE增加7.2%,如果将血浆烟碱水平作为一个共变量进行分析,则吸烟后血浆去甲肾上腺素浓度和REE的改变也不明显,表明吸烟后的生热效应是因血浆烟碱浓度升高而引起的,体重对烟碱的生热效应能发生影响,在超重的吸烟者中烟碱的生热效应减弱,由此推测,正常体重的吸烟者在戒烟后,由于不再有吸烟引起的耗能生热,可能导致体重增加。  相似文献

Previously, increased partitioning of the natural product nicotine from tobacco hairy roots into the culture media was achieved by altering the expression of the nicotine uptake permease gene. The present study demonstrated that further increases in nicotine yield in the media were attained by using surfactant-stabilized microbubbles. Compared to other non-ionic surfactants (Tween 20 and Tween 80) and the ionic surfactant SDS, Triton X-100 (TX100) both increased total nicotine production and exudation into the hairy root culture media. In comparison to surfactant-free medium, TX100 at 10, 25, and 50 mg l?1 did not show strong inhibition of hairy root growth. At 4,000 rpm shear speed, microbubbles stabilized by 10, 25, and 50 mg l?1 TX100 had k L a of 22.3, 36.2, and 44.1 h?1 in Gamborg’s B5 medium, respectively, in comparison to 16.4 h?1 with conventional air sparging. In a 1-l bioreactor, microbubbles stabilized by TX100 were applied to hairy roots after the inoculated root tips were self-immobilized by branching. With microbubble dispersion, dissolved oxygen rapidly increased from 60 to 85 %, and hairy root growth rate increased. Nicotine accumulation in culture medium with microbubbles reached 146 mg l?1 after 30 days cultivation. These results show that combining genetic modification with surfactant-stabilized microbubble dispersion can substantially increase levels of nicotine in the media of hairy root cultures.  相似文献

The effects of salinity on growth and fatty acid composition of borage (Borago officinalis L.) leaves and seeds grown in hydroponic medium were investigated. Three different levels of NaCl (25, 50, and 75 mM) were applied. The first results showed that salinity significantly reduced plant growth by 56.5 % at 75 mM compared with the control, suppressed seed yield at 50 and 75 mM, and increased lipid peroxidation. Raising NaCl concentrations led to an important decrease in total fatty acid (TFA) content by 77 % at 75 mM NaCl. Moreover, the polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) content decreased, whereas the saturated fatty acids increased with respect to increasing salinity. The 25 mM NaCl level did not modify the fatty acid composition of seeds and their contents.  相似文献

Seedlings of Meloidogyne incognita-resistant (N.C. 95) and -susceptible (McNair 30) tobacco cultivars were grown aseptically for 55 days inside isolator chambers in autoclaved soil infested with 0 or 3,000 axenized eggs of M. im ognita per 500 cc of soil. Healthy and infected plants were compared. Dry root weights of infected plants of resistant and susceptible cultivars were 16% and 84%, respectively, less than the controls. Sixteen amino acids, including those precursors for nicotine, and nicotine, increased significantly in infected roots of both cultivars. Increases in amino acids in infected roots ranged from 28% for valine to 103% for tyrosine in the resistant N.C. 95, and from 30% for leucine to 148% for tyrosine in lhe susceptible McNair 30. Nicotine content (dry weight basis) increased 42% and 62% in infected roots of resistant and susceptible cultivars, respectively. Nematode infection increased nicotine by 112% in leaves of N.C. 95, and decreased it by 56% in leaves of McNair 30. Root damage by M. incognita probably decreased nicotine movement into leaves of McNair 30. In N.C. 95, nicotine movement into leaves apparently was not adversel b affected due to lack of significant root damage.  相似文献

Lipase-catalyzed acidolysis reaction of fish liver oil with dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DHPA) was investigated in terms of enzyme specificity as well as the effects of enzyme concentration, molar substrate ratio and organic solvent mixture on the bioconversion yield. The highest bioconversion yield of 83% was obtained when Novozym 435 was used as biocatalyst in a hexane:2-butanone mixture of 75:25 (v/v) at a fish liver oil to DHPA substrate molar ratio of 4:1; however, lower bioconversion yield (15%) was obtained when Lipozyme IM 20 was used. The bioconversion yield of phenolic monoacylglycerols (MAGs) increased from 11 to 70% when the ratio of the hexane/2-butanone reaction medium was changed from 85:15 to 75:25 (v/v), whereas that of phenolic diacylglycerols (DAGs) remained relatively unchanged (13–16%). The results also showed that the acidolysis reaction resulted in an increase of C20:5 ω-3 and C22:6 ω-3 proportions from 11.5 and 20.2% in the original fish liver oil to 22.6–27.1 and 22.8–23.1% in the phenolic lipids, respectively. The radical scavenging ability of phenolic lipids was determined to be about half-time lower than that of α-tocopherol.  相似文献

Contractions of an echinoderm (sp. Sclerodactyla briareus) smooth muscle, the longitudinal muscle of the body wall (LMBW), were evoked by acetylcholine (ACh) and agonists: epibatidine, muscarine and nicotine (in order of force generation: ACh>muscarine=epibatidine>nicotine). ACh-induced contractions were blocked by atropine by 50%, and methoctramine, by 30%. ACh responses were also blocked by 25% by methyllycaconitine (MLA) but not by d-tubocurarine (dTC). Muscarine initiated large contractions that were completely blocked by atropine. To elucidate possible muscarinic ACh receptor (mAChR) subtypes, muscarinic agonists (oxotremorine, pilocarpine) and antagonists (methoctramine, pirenzepine) were tested. Oxotremorine, pilocarpine, and pirenzepine each enhanced resting tonus and potentiated ACh-induced contractions (order of potency: pilocarpine>oxotremorine=pirenzepine). Muscarine, oxotremorine or pirenzepine generated phasic, rhythmic contractions. Nicotine-induced contractions were almost completely blocked by dTC but were not altered by atropine. Large contractions evoked by epibatidine were potentiated by dTC whereas atropine had no effect on them. MLA blocked spontaneous rhythmicity. Cholinesterase inhibitors, neostigmine or physostigmine, caused marked potentiation of ACh-induced contractions and initiated rhythmic slow wave contractions in previously quiescent muscles. The present pharmacological evidence points to the co-existence of excitatory nicotinic ACh receptor (nAChRs) and mAChRs where nAChRs possibly modulate tone, and the mAChRs initiate and enhance rhythmicity.  相似文献

When rats were pretreated with 3-methylcholanthrene or β-naphthoflavone, hepatic nicotine oxidase activity per cytochrome P-448 molecule decreased, but the specific activity of the enzyme remained unchanged. After phenobarbital pretreatment, the specific activity of nicotine oxidase increased while the activity of the enzyme per cytochrome P-450 molecule decreased. α-Naphthoflavone selectively inhibited the activities of phenobarbital-induced nicotine oxidase and constitutive form(s) of the enzyme. These results show that phenobarbital-induced cytochrome P-450 and constitutive forms(s) of the enzyme may be active in hepatic nicotine oxidation.  相似文献

Nicotine administration induces many effects on animal behavior. In wild-type Caenorhabditis elegans, gustatory plasticity results in reduced chemotaxis toward NaCl of otherwise attractive concentrations after pre-exposure to 100 mM NaCl in the absence of food. However, acute nicotine administration during a 15 min pre-exposure period inhibits gustatory plasticity, whereas chronic nicotine administration during worm development facilitates the plasticity. To investigate the relationship between the duration of nicotine administration and its effects, we exposed worms to nicotine for various periods during development. The modulatory effect of nicotine on gustatory plasticity was gradually switched from inhibition to facilitation with increased duration of nicotine administration. Moreover, inhibition of plasticity was sustained after relatively short-term chronic administration, with effects lasting for 45 h after the removal of nicotine. Similar to the acute inhibitory effect after 15 min nicotine pre-exposure, the inhibitory effect after short-term chronic administration was dependent on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subunit genes lev-1 and unc-29, and genes involved in serotonin biosynthesis bas-1 and tph-1. The impaired inhibition in bas-1 and tph-1mutants was recovered by exogenous serotonin, demonstrating that serotonin plays an important role in the long-lasting inhibitory effects of short-term chronic nicotine exposure.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of rider weight in the BW ratio (BWR) range common for Icelandic horses (20% to 35%), on stride parameters in tölt in Icelandic horses. The kinematics of eight experienced Icelandic school horses were measured during an incremental exercise test using a high-speed camera (300 frames/s). Each horse performed five phases (642 m each) in tölt at a BWR between rider (including saddle) and horse starting at 20% (BWR20) and increasing to 25% (BWR25), 30% (BWR30), 35% (BWR35) and finally 20% (BWR20b) was repeated. One professional rider rode all horses and weight (lead) was added to saddle and rider as needed. For each phase, eight strides at speed of 5.5 m/s were analyzed for stride duration, stride frequency, stride length, duty factor (DF), lateral advanced placement, lateral advanced liftoff, unipedal support (UPS), bipedal support (BPS) and height of front leg action. Stride length became shorter (Y=2.73−0.004x; P<0.01) and more frequent (Y=2.56+0.002x; P<0.001) with added weight. Duty factor and BPS increased with increased BWR (P<0.001), whereas UPS decreased (P<0.001). Lateral advanced timing of limb placement and liftoff and height of front leg action were not affected by BWR (P>0.05). In conclusion, increased BWR decreased stride length and increased DF proportionally to the same extent in all limbs, whereas BPS increased at the expense of decreased UPS. These changes can be expected to decrease tölt quality when subjectively evaluated according to the breeding goals for the Icelandic horse. However, beat, symmetry and height of front leg lifting were not affected by BWR.  相似文献

Aims

Integrating multiple soil and disease management practices may improve crop productivity and disease control, but potential interactions and limitations need to be determined.

Methods

Three different potential disease-suppressive management practices, including a Brassica napus (rapeseed) green manure rotation crop, conifer-based compost amendment, and three biological control organisms (Trichoderma virens, Bacillus subtilis, and Rhizoctonia solani hypovirulent isolate Rhs1A1) were evaluated alone and in combination at sites with both organic and conventional management histories for their effects on soilborne diseases and tuber yield.

Results

Rapeseed rotation reduced all observed soilborne diseases (stem canker, black scurf, common scab, and silver scurf) by 10 to 52 % in at least one year at both sites. Compost amendment had variable effects on tuber diseases, but consistently increased yield (by 9 to 15 %) at both sites. Biocontrol effects on disease varied, though Rhs1A1 decreased black scurf at the conventional site and T. virens reduced multiple diseases at the organic site in at least one year. Combining rapeseed rotation with compost amendment both reduced disease and increased yield, whereas biocontrol additions produced only marginal additive effects.

Conclusions

Use of these treatments alone, and in combination, can be effective at reducing disease and increasing yield under both conventional and organic production practices.  相似文献

A 2-year study with six soils and four levels of Meloidogyne incognita in microplots was designed to determine the effects of these parameters on nematode activity and tobacco yield and quality. Key components under study were affected by soil, nematode level, and season (year-cultivar). In 1980, low initial nematode numbers (1,250) enhanced tobacco yield in Cecil clay loam, but caused slight to moderate yield losses in the other soils. Yield losses to M. incognita were generally greatest in sandy and muck soils. In 1980, regression analyses of the independent parameters Pi - clay-sand vs. yield gave an R² of 0.40. Examples of other coefficients of determination for yield vs. selected factors were root-necrosis index, 0.40; root-gall index, 0.18; root-gall index-cation exchange capacity (CEC), 0.34; root-necrosis index-CEC, 0.56; and root-necrosis index-sand-soil acidity-calcium, 0.62. In contrast, the R² for Pi alone versus yield in 1981 was 0.84. Soil also affected nematode reproduction with the greatest increases occurring in the sandy soils. In both years, low nematode numbers enhanced the synthesis of sugar in tobacco, whereas leaves from all other nematode treatments had low sugar levels. A low nicotine content was associated with nematode infection. Tobacco from sandy soils had a higher nicotine content than tobacco from clay soils.  相似文献

Current evidence suggests that maternal smoking is associated with decreased respiratory drive and blunted hypoxic ventilatory response (HVR) in the newborn. The effect of prenatal nicotine exposure on overall changes in HVR has been studied; however, there is limited data on the effect of nicotine exposure on each component of biphasic HVR. To examine this issue, 5-day timed-pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats underwent surgical implantation of an osmotic minipump containing either normal saline (Con) or a solution of nicotine tartrate (Nic) to continuously deliver free nicotine at 6 mg.kg of maternal weight(-1).day(-1). Rat pups at postnatal days 5, 10, 15, and 20 underwent hypoxic challenges with 10% O(2) for 20 min using whole body plethysmography. At postnatal day 5, Nic was associated with attenuation of peak HVR; peak minute ventilaton increased 44.0 +/- 6.8% (SE) from baseline in Nic pups, whereas that of Con pups increased 62.9 +/- 5.1% (P < 0.05). Nic pups also had a reduction in the magnitude of ventilatory roll-off; minute ventilation at 15 min decreased 7.3 +/- 7.1% in Nic pups compared with 27.3 +/- 4.0% in Con pups (P < 0.05). No significant difference in HVR was noted at postnatal days 10, 15, and 20. Hypercapnic response was similar at all ages. We further investigated the effect of prenatal nicotine exposure on PKC expression in the caudal brain stem (CB) of developing rats. At postnatal day 5, Nic was associated with increased expression of PKC-beta and PKC-delta in CB, whereas other PKC isoforms were not affected. It is concluded that prenatal nicotine exposure is associated with modulation of biphasic HVR and a selective increase in the expression of PKC-beta and PKC-delta within the CB of developing rats.  相似文献

The photosynthetic and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were studied in Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosus under different soil water gradients obtained by irrigation and natural water consumption. We used the rectangular hyperbola model, the nonrectangular hyperbola model, the exponential model, and the modified rectangular hyperbola model to fit our data and evaluate them quantitatively. Based on the relationship among the parameters, the effects of the availability of soil water on photosynthesis were elucidated. The results showed that: (1) The relationship between water content and photosynthetic parameters were fitted best by the modified rectangular hyperbola model, followed by the nonrectangular hyperbola model, the exponential model, and the rectangular hyperbola model. The modified rectangular hyperbola model fitted best the maximum net photosynthetic rate (P Nmax) and the light-saturation point (LSP), while the nonrectangular hyperbola model fitted best the dark respiration rate (R D), the apparent quantum yield (AQY), and the light-compensation point (LCP). (2) The main reason for the net photosynthetic rate (P N) decline was that it reached a stomatal limit when the soil relative water content (RWC) was greater than 25% and it reached a nonstomatal limit when the RWC was lesser than 25%. Under these conditions, the photosynthetic apparatus of Z. jujuba was irreversibly damaged. (3) P max, R D, AQY, and LSP increased first and then decreased, while LCP increased contrary to the RWC. The P N light-response parameters reached optimum when the RWC was 56–73%. (4) The quantum yield of PSII photochemistry reached a maximum when RWC was 80%. Nonphotochemical quenching decreased rapidly, and the minimum fluorescence in the dark-adapted state increased rapidly when RWC was lesser than 25%. Under these conditions, PSII was irreversibly damaged. (5) The RWC range of 11–25% resulted in low productivity and low water use efficiency (WUE). The RWC range of 25–56% resulted in moderate productivity and moderate WUE, and the RWC range of 56–80% resulted in high productivity and high WUE. The RWC range of 80–95% resulted in moderate productivity and low WUE. In summary, photosynthesis of Z. jujuba was physiologically adaptable in response to water stress in sand formed from seashells. The photosynthetic and physiological activity was maintained relatively high when the RWC was between 56 and 80%; Z. jujuba seedlings grew well under these conditions.  相似文献

Spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv. Triso) was grown in a free-air carbon dioxide (CO2) enrichment (FACE) system at Stuttgart–Hohenheim (Germany) in 2008 to examine effects on crop yield and grain quality. Elevated CO2 had no significant impacts on aboveground biomass and grain yield components except for an increase in thousand grain weight by 5.4% with size distribution shifted towards larger grains. Total grain protein concentration decreased by 7.9% under CO2 enrichment, and protein composition was altered. Total gliadins and their single types (ω5-gliadins, ω1,2-gliadins, α-gliadins, and γ-gliadins) were reduced, while albumins/globulins, total glutenins and their subunits were not influenced. The gluten proteins (gliadins plus glutenins) were lowered by 11.3% in the high-CO2 treatment, whereas proportions of gluten protein types were slightly affected as only ω1,2-gliadins decreased. Accordingly, all proteinogenic amino acids were decreased by 4.2 to 7.9% in concentrations per unit flour mass, although partly below the level of statistical significance. In contrast, the composition of amino acids on a per protein basis remained unaffected except for a decline in serine. Among the minerals, the concentrations of calcium, magnesium, iron and cobalt decreased, while an increase was observed for boron. The concentrations of total non-structural carbohydrates and starch decreased, whereas fructose, raffinose and fructan increased. Total lipid concentration remained unaffected by the CO2 enrichment, whereas the grain carbon/nitrogen relation was increased by 8.5%. Implications may occur for consumer nutrition and health, and for industrial processing, thus breeding of new wheat cultivars that exploit CO2 fertilisation and maintain grain quality properties is regarded as one potential option to assure the supply chain for the future.  相似文献

The motility of Meloidogyne incognita second-stage juveniles (J2) and their ability to induce root galls in tomato were progressively decreased upon exposure to nicotine at concentrations of 1-100 μg/ml. EC₅₀ values ranged from 14.5 to 22.3 μg/ml, but J2 motility and root-gall induction were not eliminated at 100 μg/ml nicotine. Nicotine in both resistant NC 89 and susceptible NC 2326 tobacco roots was increased significantly 4 days after exposure to M. incognita. The increase was greater in resistant than in susceptible tobacco. Root nicotine concentrations were estimated to be 661.1-979.1 μg/g fresh weight. More M. incognita were detected in roots of susceptible than in roots of resistant tobacco. Numbers of nematodes within resistant roots decreased as duration of exposure to M. incognita was increased from 4 to 16 days. Concentrations of nicotine were apparently sufficient to affect M. incognita in both susceptible and resistant tobacco roots. Localization of nicotine at infection sites must be determined to ascertain its association with resistance.  相似文献

Cadaverine (1–10 mM) stimulated the production of anabasine by hairy root cultures of Nicotiana rustica transformed with Agrobacterium rhizogenes. In control cultures, nicotine accounted for at least 70–80% of the total alkaloid produced, whereas in cultures supplemented with 5 mM cadaverine about two-thirds of the alkaloid was anabasine and nicotine production was markedly diminished. Putrescine and agmatine caused some stimulation of alkaloid production, but the ratio of nicotine to anabasine was essentially unaffected. Lysine caused no substantial increase in anabasine formation.  相似文献

There is a lot of evidence that chicory could be a highly palatable and nutritious source of forage for ruminants, well adapted to climate change and dry conditions in summer, thanks to its resistance to drought and high water content. This study aimed to describe the effect of incorporating chicory to ryegrass or to a ryegrass–white clover mixture on feeding behaviour, digestive parameters, nitrogen (N) balance and methane (CH4) emissions in sheep. In total, three swards of ryegrass, white clover and chicory were established and managed in a manner ensuring the forage use at a constant vegetative stage throughout the experiment. In all, four dietary treatments (pure ryegrass; binary mixture: 50% ryegrass–50% chicory; ternary mixture: 50% ryegrass–25% white clover–25% chicory; and pure chicory) were evaluated in a 4×4 replicated Latin square design with eight young castrated Texel sheep. Each experimental period consisted of an 8-day diet adaptation phase, followed by a 6-day measuring phase during which intake dynamics, chewing activity, digestibility, rumen liquid passage rate, fermentation end-products, N balance and CH4 emissions were determined. Data were analysed using a mixed model and orthogonal contrasts were used to detect the potential associative effects between ryegrass and chicory. The daily voluntary dry matter intake was lower for pure ryegrass than for diets containing chicory (P<0.001) and increased quadratically from 1.39 to 1.74 kg/day with increasing proportion of chicory. Huge positive quadratic effects (P<0.001) between ryegrass and chicory were detected on eating time and eating rate just after feeding indicating an increase of the motivation to eat with mixtures, whereas rumination activity decreased linearly with the proportion of chicory (P<0.001). The organic matter digestibility was similar among treatments (around 80%), but a strong positive quadratic P<0.001) effect was observed on liquid passage rate suggesting that chicory allowed fast particle breakdown in the rumen. Animals fed with the ryegrass–white clover–chicory mixture had the higher urinary N losses (P<0.001), whereas retained N per day or per g N intake was greater when the proportion of chicory was at least 50% (P<0.001) being ~40% greater than for the other treatments. The CH4 yield was lower with pure chicory than with the other treatments (P<0.001) for which emissions were similar. In conclusion, mixing ryegrass and chicory in equal proportions produces a synergy on voluntary intake and an improved N use efficiency likely due to complementarity in chemical composition, increased motivation to eat and faster ruminal particle breakdown.  相似文献

Respiratory effects of intravenous serotonin and nicotine were investigated prior to and after bilateral neurotomy of the carotid sinus nerves (CSNs) in eight pentobarbitone/chloralose-anaesthetised, bilaterally vagotomised and superior laryngeal nerves-sectioned cats. Injection of 188 nmol kg(-1) serotonin (hydrogen oxalate salt, 50 microg x kg(-1)) prior to and after CSNs section induced an expiratory apnoea of, respectively, 7.9 +/- 1.25 s and 8.3 +/- 1.6 s duration (mean +/- S.E.M.) in, respectively, five and three of those cats. In all cats, the serotonin challenge produced a period of accelerated breathing (P < 0.05) both prior to and after section of CSNs. Injection of a 433 nmol nicotine bolus (hydrogen tartrate salt, 200 microg) increased tidal volume by 25 +/- 8% in cats with intact CSNs (P < 0.01), but decreased it by 13 + 10% (P < 0.05) after CSNs section. Nicotine, but not serotonin, transiently increased mean arterial blood pressure in our cats, which rise was delayed by CSNs cut. Results of this study indicate that the respiratory response to serotonin occurs beyond carotid body chemoreceptors in vagotomised cats, and suggest that the volume response to intravenous nicotine depends qualitatively on carotid body chemoreceptor input in this experimental model.  相似文献

Nicotine is a psychoactive ingredient in tobacco that significantly contributes to the harmful tobacco smoking habit. Nicotine dependence is more prevalent than dependence on any other substance. Preclinical research in animal models of the various aspects of nicotine dependence suggests a critical role of glutamate, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), cholinergic and dopamine neurotransmitter interactions in the ventral tegmental area and possibly other brain sites, such as the central nucleus of the amygdala and the prefrontal cortex, in the effects of nicotine. Specifically, decreasing glutamate transmission or increasing GABA transmission with pharmacological manipulations decreased the rewarding effects of nicotine and cue-induced reinstatement of nicotine seeking. Furthermore, early nicotine withdrawal is characterized by decreased function of presynaptic inhibitory metabotropic glutamate 2/3 receptors and increased expression of postsynaptic glutamate receptor subunits in limbic and frontal brain sites, while protracted abstinence may be associated with increased glutamate response to stimuli associated with nicotine administration. Finally, adaptations in nicotinic acetylcholine receptor function are also involved in nicotine dependence. These neuroadaptations probably develop to counteract the decreased glutamate and cholinergic transmission that is hypothesized to characterize early nicotine withdrawal. Ovomucin, mainly responsible for the gelatinous property of egg white, has potential applications as a functional food and nutraceutical ingredient. A 2-step method for ovomucin preparation was recently developed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of various operating conditions, such as pH, NaCl concentrations and extraction volume at the second extraction, temperature, and centrifugation force, on the purity and yield of ovomucin. Our results showed that pH has a significant effect on the purity and yield of ovomucin extracts. Increasing the extraction pH from 4.0 to 5.0 could significantly (p < 0.05) increase the purity and yield of ovomucin; at pHs higher than 5.0, the purity was not affected but the yield was significantly decreased. The highest yield of ovomucin extract (308 mg/100 g of egg white) was achieved at pH 5.0 while the highest purity was achieved at pH 7.0. There is a trend that the purity of ovomucin increased (p < 0.05) but the yield of ovomucin decreased (p > 0.05) at increasing salt concentrations. Reducing extraction volume did not affect the yield of ovomucin whereas its purity was significantly decreased. The yield of ovomucin however was significantly increased at increasing settling time or centrifugation force, but the purity was less affected. Extraction of ovomucin at room temperature could significantly reduce the extraction yield compared to that at lower temperature (4 °C) but the purity was not affected.  相似文献
