New species of the pine fossil wood, Pinus priamurensis sp. nov. (Pinaceae) from the Sazanka Formation (upper Middle Miocene–Upper Miocene) of the Erkovetskii Brown Coal Field (Amur Region) is described. The new species shares some wood anatomical features with modern species of the subsection Pinus (section Pinus, subgenus Pinus). This is the first record of fossil wood of Pinus in the Amur Region.  相似文献

A new species, Ulmus priamurica sp. nov. (Pinaceae) identified on the basis of anatomical features of fossil wood from the Sazanka Formation (upper Middle Miocene–Upper Miocene) of the Erkovetskii Brown Coal Field (Amur Region) is described. The Betulaceae family comprises two subfamilies, Betuloideae and Corylaceae. The subfamily Betuloideae contains two genera, Alnus Mill. and Betula L. Twenty putative long terminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposons were mined from 171 scaffolds containing 5,208,995 bp of dwarf birch (Betula nana) genome sequences. Five retrotransposons were finally selected after filtering the retrotransposon canonical features and nucleotide similarities between left and right LTR sequences. Of the five retroelements, three elements were found to be Ty1/Copia retrotransposons; identity of the other two elements could not be ascertained due to sequence undetermined ‘N’ bases in the sequence database. Inter-retrotranposon amplified polymorphism (IRAP) analysis, based on the LTR sequences of the mined LTR-retrotransposons, produced 179 discernible IRAP bands among the Alnus and Betula genera. Sequence analysis revealed no size homoplasy among the homologous IRAP bands. Phylogenetic and principle coordinate analysis, based on the band sharing among the taxa, showed the species in two different genera were clearly separated. The subgenera in each genus of Alnus and Betula were also distinguishable from the IRAP profiles. In the genus Betula, the species in subgenus Betula showed mixed clustering between species. This is incongruent with the phylogeographical distribution of the species.  相似文献

The diversity and distribution of leaf mining insects developing on birches (Betula spp.) in Siberia were reviewed based on published records and our observations. Analysis of the literature revealed 52 species of leaf miners recorded as feeding on different Betula species in Siberia. Among them, three species were listed under different names and six species were erroneously recorded as birch consumers. Thus, the revised list of birch leaf miners contains 44 species. Five moth and four sawfly species are mentioned in the literature as pests of Betula. Four sawflies are known to be invasive in North America. Our collections comprised 25 species, including the micro-moth Stigmella continuella (Lepidoptera, Nepticulidae), a new species for Siberia found in Novosibirsk. Immature stages of 15 species were identified using DNA barcoding. Twenty species were recorded from several regions of Siberia for the first time. The dominant group is Lepidoptera (31 species), followed by Coleoptera (7), Hymenoptera (5), and Diptera (1). Two-thirds of all the known leaf miners develop exclusively on birches; the remaining species also colonize alders (Alnus, Betulaceae), some Rosaceae, Salicaceae, and Ulmaceae. In our observations, the majority of insects (96%) developed on B. pendula. About half of them were also observed on the East Asian birches B. dahurica, B. divaricata, B. costata, B. ermanii, and B. gmelinii; five species were found on the North American birches B. occidentalis and B. papyrifera. All the leaf mining species listed in our paper for Siberia also occur in Europe. The similarity between the miner faunas of these regions is discussed and it is warned about possible errors in diagnostics of the Siberian species using the keys and catalogues for the European fauna. The importance of DNA barcoding in the study of the local insect faunas of poorly explored regions is also emphasized.  相似文献

This paper describes and illustrates Heteropterys serrata, a new species endemic to semideciduous forests associated with inselbergs in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Morphological and wood anatomical traits of the new species are compared to those of other species of the Heteropterys Metallophyllis informal group. Based on wood anatomy, H. serrata and H. nitida (the most morphologically similar species) have different axial parenchyma, which is scarce paratracheal in H. nitida (and some other species of the Metallophyllis informal group) and aliform confluent in H. serrata. The most notable morphological and anatomical characters that distinguish the new species are the young hexagonal stems, the unusual widely serrate leaf margins and the aliform confluent axial parenchyma in the wood.  相似文献

Birch trees inhabiting the high-altitude Hyrcanian forest (the southern shores of the Caspian Sea of Iran and Azerbaijan) are classified in the EN (endangered) category of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Taxonomic status and phylogenetic relationship of Iranian populations, molecular taxonomy, and biogeography of the genus Betula in the world have been considered. Four remnant populations of Betula were selected from north and northwestern parts of Iran. The internal ITS and trnH-psbA intergenic spacer regions were sequenced. Based on the trnH-psbA and ITS, Iranian birch and white birch were placed in a clade, but based on trnH-psbA divided into two subclades. Phylogenetic trees based on ITS and trnH-psbA data did not completely support the morphological classification. Network analysis confirms a close relationship of B. pendula with B. platyphylla and B. papyrifera with B. humilis, and B. ermanii were in a group with the other tetraploid species of the subgenus Neurobetula. Divergence time analysis showed that about 75 Ma ago the Betula genus separated from the other genus of Betulaceae and then divided into two main clades in Oligocene. Our divergence analysis supports that two subgenera of Betulenta and Betulaster are the oldest subgenera in the genus Betula and they date back to Eocene. The ancestral reconstruction suggests that ancestors of the genus Betula originated from Southeast Asia.  相似文献

Fossil leaves and associated reproductive structures from the Kundur locality, Amur Region, are examined. A new genus of the unlobed platanaceous leaves, Kunduriphyllum gen. nov. (Platanaceae) is described based on distinctive morphological and epidermal features. The similarity of epidermal characteristics and identical biological damage suggest that the leaves Kunduriphyllum kundurense gen. et comb. nov., staminate inflorescences Kundurianthus, and infructescences Kunduricarpus could be assigned to a single plant.  相似文献

A general characterization of the Campanian flora of the Amur Region is provided based on a floristic assemblage from the upper member of the Kundur Formation (Amur Region) and its stratigraphic analogue, the Taipinglinchang Formation (northern China). Cortinarius is one of the most species-rich genera of mushroom-forming fungi. Based on phylogenetic and morphological evidence, Cortinarius, sect. Riederi, is introduced at sectional level (= subsect. Riederi sensu Brandrud & Melot). The taxonomy, phylogeny, ecology and distribution of not only mainly European but also including some North American taxa of this section are treated, which includes nine species and two varieties. Of these, three taxa are described as new (C. burlinghamiae, C. pallidoriederi and C. argenteolilacinus var. dovrensis). The sect. Riederi species possess morphological features similar to Phlegmacium group(s) and forms a phylogenetically isolated lineage, with no supported affinity to other phlegmacioid groups. Three taxa are known from both Europe and North America, two species are known only from North America and five only from Europe. Altogether, eight of the ten taxa are associated with conifers or northern (boreal-subalpine) deciduous trees (Betula spp.). Only two species occur in more temperate forests (Fagus forests), and no species have so far been found in thermophilous Quercus forests  相似文献

A list of 94 species of Tortricidae from the Lower Amur Area is presented, 14 species being recorded for Khabarovsk Terr. for the first time. Three species, Endotheina quadrimaculana, Argyroploce arbutella, and Dichrorampha obscuratana, are new to the Russian Far East. Two species monophagous on Quercus, Tortrix sinapina and Hedya inornata, have been found in the relict oak forests of the Lower Amur Area. Individual variation of the male genitalia within the Dichrorampha simpliciana species-group is revealed, and doubts are cast on the species rank of D. cancellatana and D. okui.  相似文献

Three recent genera are included in the supertribe Stomatosematidi: Stomatosema (16 species), Vanchidiplosis (4 species), and Didactylomyia (3 species). Seven species of the genus Stomatosema and two species of the genus Vanchidiplosis occur in the Palaearctic Region. No reliable findings of representatives of the supertribe were known in fossilized condition. One new genus and 3 new species are described from amber of the Late Eocene age (Rovno Region): Stomatosema iljieteugeniae sp. n., Clarumreddera korneyevi gen. n. et sp. n., and C. conceptiva sp. n.  相似文献

Distribution, population structure, and abundance of Amur kaluga Acipenser dauricus and Amur sturgeon A. schrenckii in the Lower Amur and Amur Estuary have been considered based on the materials of two surveys performed in 2011. Both species occur along almost the entire length of the Lower Amur and in major part of the Amur Estuary. The density of their aggregations has significantly decreased in most regions of the river if compared to the 1960s. In the Amur Estuary, A. dauricus and A. schrenckii are most abundant in freshwater and light salted water bodies of its western part. In 2011, the abundance and biomass of A. dauricus and A. schrenckii in the Lower Amur and Amur Estuary was 345000 specimens and 7110 tons and 289000 specimens and 1946 tons, respectively.  相似文献

The diversity of lignicolous freshwater fungi of the Greater Mekong Subregion are currently being studied. In this paper, 18 fresh collections of Pleurotheciaceae from submerged wood in freshwater are characterized based on morphological characters and analyses of ITS, LSU, SSU and RPB2 sequence data. Six new species of Pleurotheciella (P. aquatica, P. fusiformis, P. guttulata, P. lunata, P. saprophytica, P. submersa), one new Phaeoisaria species (Ph. aquatica) and one new Pleurothecium species (Pl. aquaticum) are introduced based on their distinct morphology and evidence from molecular phylogeny. Pleurotheciella uniseptata, Phaeoisaria clematidis and Pleurothecium pulneyense are also redescribed and phylogenetic relationships assessed herein, these species are the first records for China.  相似文献

Data on a new species, low Amur grayling Thymallus tugarinae sp. nova, inhabiting tributaries of the lower and middle current of the Amur River, are presented. This species has been earlier equated with the Amur grayling T. grubii, described by Dybowski (1869) from the rivers Onon and Ingoda (the Upper Amur Basin). The new species differs from other representatives of the genus in the body coloration, the pattern on the upper fin, and certain morphological characters. On most of the Amur Basin, the grayling from the Lower Amur is sympatric with T. grubii and in its tributary Bureya River, also with the Bureya grayling T. burejensis. Individuals with intermediate traits are unknown, pointing to reproductive isolation. These data are supported by the results of molecular-genetic analysis (Froufe et al., 2003, 2005; Knizhin et al., 2004).  相似文献

We anatomically characterized the aerial stems of the genus Dioscorea and evaluated the use of these anatomical characteristics to better understand the taxonomy, systematics, and diversity of the component species in the neotropics. Fragments of the aerial stems of 23 species were collected for anatomical analyses utilizing conventional cytohistological techniques. Stem anatomy did not support the subgenera and neotropical sections of Dioscorea, although D. sect. Monadelpha demonstrated similar anatomical characteristics with the representatives analyzed in the present work, supporting the possible monophyletism of that section. Some New World species demonstrated characteristics described earlier for Old World species, such as two phloem units internal to the large-diameter vessels. New characters to the vascularization of new world species are described, as a single ring of vascular bundles, intercalating common and cauline bundles. Tylosoids and actinocytic stomata were the first time reported in Dioscorea, and the vascular patterns are revisited with a systematic approach.  相似文献

Phylogenetic analyses of a combined DNA data matrix containing ITS, LSU, rpb2 and tub2 sequences of representative Xylariales revealed that the genus Barrmaelia is a well-defined monophylum, as based on four of its described species (B. macrospora, B. moravica, B. oxyacanthae, B. rhamnicola) and the new species B. rappazii. The generic type of Entosordaria, E. perfidiosa, is revealed as the closest relative of Barrmaelia, being phylogenetically distant from the generic type of Clypeosphaeria, C. mamillana, which belongs to Xylariaceae sensu stricto. Entosordaria and Barrmaelia are highly supported and form a distinct lineage, which is recognised as the new family Barrmaeliaceae. The new species E. quercina is described. Barrmaelia macrospora, B. moravica and B. rhamnicola are epitypified and E. perfidiosa is lecto- and epitypified. Published sequences of Anthostomella and several Anthostomella-like species from the genera Alloanthostomella, Anthostomelloides, Neoanthostomella, Pseudoanthostomella and Pyriformiascoma are evaluated, demonstrating the necessity of critical inspection of published sequence data before inclusion in phylogenies. Verified isolates of several species from these genera should be re-sequenced to affirm their phylogenetic affinities. In addition, the generic type of Anthostomella should be sequenced before additional generic re-arrangements are proposed.  相似文献
