简述了世界鼠尾草属传粉模式多样性,从宏观层面对东亚鼠尾草属分布中心———中国的鼠尾草属传粉模式进行归纳与总结。研究补充了以往所缺乏的东亚鼠尾草属核心类群的雄蕊结构和传粉模式,并提出雄蕊结构的可能进化方向。根据花器官形态、内部结构、雄蕊特征、花粉接触传粉昆虫的部位,将中国分布的鼠尾草属植物划分为3种模式类型:TypeⅠ,短药隔杠杆传粉模式(short-lever type),主要发生在弧隔鼠尾草亚属(subg.Salvia Benth.),其雄蕊药隔短,属原始结构类型;TypeⅡ,长药隔杠杆传粉模式(long-lever type),主要发生在荔枝草亚属(subg.Sclarea Benth.),雄蕊药隔明显伸长,是典型的背部杠杆传粉结构;TypeⅢ,退化杠杆传粉模式(degraded-lever type),主要发生在鼠尾草亚属(subg.Allagospadonopsis Briq.),花冠筒变短变窄,雄蕊下臂明显退化,传粉者无需进入冠筒即可取食花蜜,花粉触碰昆虫头部,进而杠杆作用弱化。研究表明,鼠尾草属传粉模式的进化趋向于提高传粉者的专一性,同时保证传粉过程的有效性、精确性和忠实性,推测具有退化雄蕊下臂的TypeⅢ模式可能更为进化。比较美洲和地中海2个进化分支的雄蕊结构和进化趋势,东亚多样性中心可能是一个独立的进化分支。毫无疑问,雄蕊结构与花器官和传粉功能高度相关,是适应传粉者的进化表型,它的进化对东亚分支的物种辐射与多样性形成可能具有关键作用。  相似文献

被子植物虫媒传粉植物的物种分化通常被认为是花性状响应传粉环境(传粉者)的空间变异而发生适应性分化的结果。通过对鼠尾草属(Salvia) 3个物种(共4个居群)传粉互作系统的比较, 探索了花性状对不同传粉环境的进化响应。结果表明: 各居群的传粉者组成、主要传粉者类型及其大小各不相同, 杠杆状雄蕊及相关花部性状大小在不同居群间具有显著差异; 各居群均表现出腹部传粉和背部传粉2种传粉模式, 但背部传粉仍然是最有效的传粉方式; 居群间杠杆状雄蕊长度与传粉者体长表现出极显著的正相关, 然而花冠长与传粉者体长表现出负相关; 花冠口高度和柱头高度与传粉者胸厚也表现出一定的协同变异。鼠尾草属植物的杠杆状雄蕊及相关花部性状在传粉系统的进化过程中表现出高度的可塑性, 表明雄蕊杠杆传粉机制对传粉环境的变异非常敏感, 在该属植物的物种分化过程中具有关键作用。  相似文献

对被子植物一类特化雄蕊——杠杆状雄蕊的结构多样性及其进化生态学意义进行了归纳总结。植物的花在进化过程中, 常会发生雄蕊群的改变, 包括雄蕊数目及其形态结构的变化, 同时雄蕊功能也会发生相应的适应性转变。杠杆状雄蕊是指结构特化为杠杆状或距状, 在传粉过程中具有类似杠杆功能的一类特化的雄蕊类型。目前, 已在唇形科不同亚科以及姜科6个属中发现杠杆状雄蕊, 根据其结构和形态发生方式总体上可分为2大类: 一类是唇形科中以鼠尾草属(Salvia)为代表的, 由2个可育雄蕊平行发育、药隔组织增长所形成的杠杆状雄蕊; 另一类是姜科植物中由一个可育雄蕊特化形成的带有距状附属体的雄蕊类型。在生态功能上, 两类雄蕊均能通过传粉者推动其距状下臂做杠杆运动进行传粉, 被认为是一种促进异交的传粉机制, 可通过精确传粉和花粉分发等途径影响植物的繁殖成功。杠杆状雄蕊在不同的类群中是独立起源与进化的; 仅在唇形科鼠尾草属中, 杠杆状雄蕊发生了3次独立进化, 而且它可能是触发该属物种适应性辐射的关键性状。将来需在宏观进化和微观进化两个水平深入探讨杠杆状雄蕊的进化生态学意义。  相似文献

唇形科鼠尾草属是世界性分布、物种多样性丰富的大类群,具有独特的传粉模式和多样化的生态类型及繁殖策略,以往对鼠尾草属的花结构和雄蕊杠杆的生态功能、雄蕊杠杆机制对传粉者空间变异的进化响应和表型选择等方面已有较深入的研究,但至今对分布于不同区系代表性物种的传粉者组成、访花行为和繁育系统特征仍知之甚少。对分布于喜马拉雅东段至横断山高海拔地区栗色鼠尾草的传粉生态、交配系统和繁殖特性进行了研究,分析了2014年至2016年的年际间、2014年晴天和阴雨天的传粉者组成和传粉行为变化,探讨了这些变化对繁殖成功的影响。研究结果表明:3年共发现栗色鼠尾草有9种访花昆虫,传粉者组成及其行为变化较为明显。2014年有桔尾熊蜂Bombus friseanus、灰熊蜂B.grahami、圣熊蜂B.religiosus和中华蜜蜂Apis cerana 4种有效传昆虫,2015年仅有桔尾熊蜂是有效传粉者,而2016年的有效传粉昆虫改变为灰熊蜂和圣熊蜂。栗色鼠尾草的盗蜜现象较为普遍,主要盗蜜昆虫为灰熊蜂和桔尾熊蜂。桔尾熊蜂访花行为的年际变化较大,受天气条件的影响明显,同时其有效传粉行为可能显著影响了灰熊蜂的盗蜜行为。栗色鼠尾草的繁育系统为专性异交,主要依靠传粉者进行授粉,缺少传粉者时低程度的主动自花授粉可为其提供繁殖保障,且没有花粉限制和近交衰退。研究揭示了在高海拔地区,多变的天气条件可能显著影响着鼠尾草属植物的传粉者种类组成、访花行为和传粉效率,进而影响植物的繁殖成效和种群稳定。有效传粉频率是保证栗色鼠尾草较高自然结实率的主要因素,在一定程度上,盗蜜强度对繁殖成功具有中性的影响。本研究结果为阐明高山鼠尾草物种的繁殖如何受气候环境变化的影响,以及保证繁殖成功的可能策略奠定基础。  相似文献

退化雄蕊是指没有花药或花药不可育的雄蕊,发现于被子植物32.5%的科以及54.4%的属中,它们在形态和生化组成上都与可育雄蕊有着显著区别。虽然丢失了产生可育花粉的能力、无法发挥雄性繁殖功能,某些退化雄蕊在进化过程中重新获得了一些有助于植物繁殖成功的新功能。本文将这些具有功能的退化雄蕊细分为8类:(1)信号型;(2)报酬型;(3)欺骗传粉型;(4)辅助传粉昆虫在花内活动;(5)辅助授粉;(6)协助花粉二次呈现;(7)保护其他花结构;(8)避免自交。退化雄蕊作为花结构的一部分,其功能集中于促进植物的繁殖成功,主要通过与传粉昆虫的相互作用来提高传粉效率。此外,某些植物的退化雄蕊也可能同时具有多种功能,并且其功能的强弱与传粉者的种类、行为、大小和频率相关。正确评估退化雄蕊对植物繁殖成功的影响,需要多学科手段来系统的研究,以便能更加深入的理解不同近缘关系的物种间退化雄蕊功能的差异,揭示退化雄蕊在被子植物系统进化中的意义。  相似文献

以金虎尾科植物地理分布格局及迁移历史总结出来的“金虎尾路线”, 是解释热带植物洲际间断分布与长距离扩散格局的重要模式。金虎尾路线阐明了金虎尾科植物历史时期7次独立的从起源中心(南美洲)向旧世界(非洲和亚洲)的洲际长距离扩散事件。本文总结了金虎尾路线植物起源地与扩散地主要类群的花部特征与传粉系统, 以探讨这些类群及类似植物长距离扩散后的花进化与传粉转变等适应规律。金虎尾科的南美洲类群都有分泌油脂的萼片腺体, 花的形态结构非常保守, 是与美洲当地特有的条蜂科集油蜂长期协同进化的结果。金虎尾科的非洲类群花保守性消失, 花白色、辐射对称且无萼片腺体, 繁育系统为雄花-两性花异株(功能性的雌雄异株), 传粉者是采集花粉的蜜蜂科昆虫。亚洲的一些属发生了类似非洲类群的泛化适应转变, 但风筝果属(Hiptage)出现了镜像花、异型雄蕊和极度反折的花瓣, 且传粉者是亚洲特有的大蜜蜂(Apis dorsata), 显示出了非常特化的适应性转变。风筝果属所在支系的现存类群涵盖了南美洲、中美洲、非洲和亚洲等地的地方特有属, 体现了金虎尾路线整个迁移历史过程, 是认识金虎尾路线及其进化适应规律的关键类群, 值得在今后的研究中加以重视。  相似文献

Hirsutella tortricicola sp. nov.(菌株GZUIFR-hir090704)分离于寄生卷叶蛾科昆虫幼虫的真菌标本GZUIFR-kks-2。其主要形态特征为产孢细胞颈部具1-2个螺旋状结构且再育明显;分生孢子具黏液,橘瓣状,2.7-3.6×1.4-1.8μm。通过形态学比较和系统发育学分析确定H. tortricicola为被毛孢属新成员。  相似文献

马先蒿属(Pediculais)是有花植物中花冠形态多样化最为集中的属。该属主要的传粉者是熊蜂属(Bormbus)昆虫;在北美,熊蜂和蜂鸟是马先蒿植物一些种类有效的传粉者;也发现壁蜂(Osmia)为其传粉。不同的传粉机制要求某一特定的取食式样储藏和释放花粉。本文讨论了花冠类型的进化趋势与传粉式样和花粉形态的关系。传粉者的选择压力是决定花冠多样化的重要因素之一;花冠类型与传粉者和传粉行为紧密相关。马先蒿植物和传粉者的相互依赖与其花冠类型、功能和物候互相适应,但花冠类型与花粉形态两者之间似乎没有明显的一一对应关系。通过北美、日本和喜马拉雅不同地理分布马先蒿种类的比较研究表明,具有相同花冠类型的种类有着相同的传粉方式,花冠形态与传粉式样存在紧密的协同进化关系。  相似文献

异型花柱是受遗传控制的花柱多态现象, 被达尔文认为是植物通过在传粉者体表不同部位滞落花粉以促进型间花粉准确传递的一种适应。该现象虽已受到广泛关注, 但在一些花型变异较大且不稳定的传粉系统中, 不同传粉者对各花型繁殖所产生的影响仍知之甚少。该研究以分布于新疆天山南坡的一个有同长花柱共存的异型花柱植物喀什补血草(Limonium kaschgaricum)种群为研究对象, 对其花型构成及频率、传粉者及花粉转移效率等进行了调查分析。结果表明: 1)种群中除了存在雌/雄蕊长度交互对应的长(L)/短(S)花柱型花外, 还有雌/雄蕊同长的花(H型), 且各花型花的花冠口直径、花冠筒长及花粉量等参数间无差异, 但花粉纹饰和柱头乳突细胞形态具二型性。其中, H型花的花粉和柱头形态与L型花(或S型花)的一致。2)花型内和自花授粉均不亲和; 型间授粉时, 花粉和柱头形态不同的花型间亲和, 反之不亲和。3)种群内存在长/短吻两类传粉昆虫。在以短吻传粉者为主的盛花初、中期, L和H型花柱头上的异型花粉数均显著高于S型花的, 且L和S型花高位性器官间的异型花粉传递效率高于低位性器官间的; 而在以长吻传粉者为主的盛花后期, L和S型花的柱头间异型花粉数无显著差异, 且高/低位性器官间具有相同的异型花粉转移效率; 与传粉者出现时期相对应的、在花期不同阶段开放花的结实率也明显不同。4)长/短吻昆虫具明显不同的传粉功能, 短吻昆虫只能对L和H型花进行有效传粉, 且访花频率和型间花粉转移效率较低, 为低效传粉者; 而长吻昆虫对各花型均能有效传粉, 具高的访花频率和型间花粉转移效率, 为高效传粉者。因为长吻昆虫的阶段性出现所形成的不稳定传粉系统, 使低效的短吻昆虫可能会成为种群中花型变异的驱动力, 并使S型花受到更大的选择压力。H型花克服了柱头缩入的弊端, 可能会成为不稳定传粉系统下的一个替代花型而持续存在。  相似文献

雄蕊运动指雄蕊在自身能量支持下发生的主动运动,不包括雄蕊在访花者触碰下造成的被动位移。该文总结了雄蕊的应激运动、快速猛烈弹射、缓慢运动以及级联运动等4种主要类型,分析了这些运动类型的系统分布及繁殖适应意义等方面的研究进展。雄蕊的应激运动由访花者或其他外力诱发,可能起到促进散粉和实现繁殖保障的作用;雄蕊快速猛烈的弹射运动可将花粉猛然撒向空中或访花者身上,促进了花粉的风媒或虫媒散布;缓慢运动的雄蕊可能通过在不同花期改变雄蕊的空间位置和雌雄异位程度来调节繁殖策略,或主动将雄蕊花药移至特定部位(如柱头表面)实现自交;雄蕊逐一、依次发生的级联运动较为复杂,主要分布在刺莲花科、梅花草科、旱金莲科和芸香科中,目前还缺乏实验研究;但根据"花粉呈现理论"以及其他类型的雄蕊运动研究结果,雄蕊的级联运动可以将花粉分批呈现给不同的传粉者,通过不同传粉者的分别传粉来提高花粉的输出;而且可避免已散粉雄蕊对即将散粉雄蕊的干扰,同时可能也降低了雌雄功能干扰和(或)花内自交。在芸香(Ruta graveolens)中,级联运动之后的雄蕊还会在花末期再同时向花中央运动;这种多向、多次运动方式是目前发现的最复杂的雄蕊运动类型。雄蕊运动领域值得今后开展进一步实验研究的方向主要有:1)雄蕊运动尤其是级联运动对雌雄功能干扰(性别间干扰)、雄蕊与雄蕊的"性别内干扰"等植物繁殖格局的影响;2)雄蕊运动与雌雄异熟、雌雄异位等花部特征的相互作用;3)雄蕊运动复杂类型的生理与发育机制。  相似文献

Attraction of pollinators and successful pollen transfer represent the primary targets of selection during flower evolution, leading to repeated evolutionary shifts between pollinators and consequently to the diversification of floral forms. However, most studies in floral evolution focus on the characteristics of flowers with straight corolla tube. Here, we report on an unusual form of sigmoid corolla combined with protandry and herkogamy in a Chinese species of Gesneriaceae, Oreocharis pumila (formerly Opithandra pumila). Contrary to species with sigmoid corollas studied previously, the base of the corolla tube of this species is inclined at an oblique angle downwards before the tube bends forward, and the stigma and anthers are included in the upper part of the corolla tube. The plants were found to be self‐compatible but incapable of autonomous selfing. Successful pollination was found to depend fully on the presence of insect pollinators (Nomia sp.) and pollen grains are the greatest reward for the visitors. Different from the other sigmoid flowers, the sigmoid corolla of O. pumila was not found to favor insect pollinators with long flexible proboscises. A mechanical fit between floral morphology and pollinator was found, in which only small insect visitors with specialized visiting behavior are legitimate pollinators. The protandry combined with herkogamy in the sigmoid corolla tube strongly ensures pollination efficiencies. Oreocharis pumila is the only species with sigmoid corolla in the genus Oreocharis. We hypothesize that such a corolla has arisen through selection due to inadequate pollination in early spring in the mountainous habitat that O. pumila occupies.  相似文献

According to the concept of pollination syndromes, floral traits reflect specialisation to a particular pollinator or set of pollinators. However, the reproductive biology of endemic, and often specialised, plants may require increased attention as climate change accelerates worldwide. Species of Roscoea endemic to the Himalayan region have striking orchid-like flowers with long corolla tubes, suggesting pollination by long-tongued insects. Until now, the reproductive biology of species of Roscoea has been poorly documented. We investigated the floral biology, breeding system and pollination ecology of R. cautleoides and R. humeana, from Hengduan Mountains, a global biodiversity hotspot in southwest China. We also tested whether floral longevity increases pollination success. Pollination experiments showed that the two species were self-compatible and depended on insects for fruit production. Over several flowering seasons we did not observe any potential pollinators with long tongues that matched the corolla tube visiting flowers in centres of distribution. The principal pollinators observed were pollen-collecting generalist bees, with low visitation frequencies. In general, members of the ginger family are characterised by short-lived (usually 1 day) flowers, but flowers of R. cautleoides and R. humeana last 8 and 6 days, respectively. Removing stigmas decreased fruit set in both study populations. Our results suggest that the original pollinators may have been long-tongued insects that are now absent from the Chinese Himalayas because habitats have responded to climate change. However, long-lived and self-compatible flowers, coupled with the presence of generalist pollinators, are traits that have allowed these gingers to reproduce and continue to persist in the alpine habitats.  相似文献

为了探究浅裂剪秋萝(Lychnis cognata)和丝瓣剪秋萝(L. wilfordii)的传粉生物学特征, 从花部特征、花粉呈现规律及传粉者访花行为等方面对其开展研究。结果表明, 2种剪秋萝的花期持续时间相近, 但浅裂剪秋萝始花日期较早; 二者花部特征虽有显著差异, 但主要传粉者均为碧翠凤蝶(Papilio bianor)。在开花过程中, 2种剪秋萝的雄蕊均分2批呈现花粉, 第1批雄蕊的花粉生活力在开花后第1天达到最大值, 而第2批雄蕊在第2天达到最大值。浅裂剪秋萝的柱头可授性在开花后第5天最强, 而丝瓣剪秋萝在开花后第4天最强, 花粉生活力和柱头活性的时间差异表明两物种均为雌雄异熟。两物种共同的传粉者碧翠凤蝶对浅裂剪秋萝的访花高峰出现在上午8:00-11:00, 而对丝瓣剪秋萝的访花高峰出现在上午11:00-12:00, 导致访花高峰出现差异的主要影响因素可能是生境和花药开裂时间。  相似文献

为确定独叶草(Kingdonia uniflora)不育雄蕊、花被片和可育雄蕊对传粉昆虫和传粉的影响,分别进行去除不育雄蕊(A组),去除花被片(B组),去除可育雄蕊(C组)和对照组(D组)处理。结果表明:昆虫访花频率分别为A组0.4次/h、B组0次/h、C组0.9次/h、D组2.2次/h;被授粉花朵百分比分别为A组29.09%、B组40.38%、C组70.91%、D组91.67%;被授粉心皮百分比分别为A组17.77%、B组20.94%、C组为40.58%、D组为75.27%。与对照组相比,处理后被授粉花朵百分比、被授粉心皮百分比下降幅度均为A组〉B组〉C组。结合昆虫访花频率与不育雄蕊蜜汁的分泌量呈正比,可确定不育雄蕊产生的蜜汁是吸引昆虫访花的最主要因素。花被片为昆虫取食提供停歇的平台,可育雄蕊与花被片产生的色差及可育雄蕊提供的花粉,是吸引昆虫的辅助因素。  相似文献

The relationships among the floral morphologies, breeding system and pollination insects in nine Carthamus tinctorius L. clones were investigated in Ya’an, Sichuan province, China. No significant differences in seed setting rate were observed among the clones following unbagged treatment, but significant differences in seed setting rate were observed among the clones following bagged treatment. Breeding experiments indicated that both reproductive systems (selfing and outcrossing) coexisted in each tested C. tinctorius clone. It exhibited reproductive assurance through automatic self-pollination, which might be an important factor in enhancing the amount of seeds. Among 17 species of visitors, the main effective pollinators were Apis cerana Fabricius, Apis mellifera Linnaeus and Eristalis tenax Linnaeus. All floral morphology traits (corolla length, corolla diameter, pistil length, anther length, stigma length, and stigma–anther separation) showed significant variations among the clones. However, only corolla diameter showed a significant negative correlation with the frequency of pollinator visits and a positive correlation with seed set following unbagged treatment. There was a negative correlation between stigma–anther separation and seed set, and although this was not significant, it could be argued that if a pistil developed that was too long, seed set would decline under natural conditions. Corolla length was significantly positively correlated with stamen and anther length, and corolla diameter was significantly negatively correlated with pistil length. Stigma length was also significantly positively correlated with stamen length. These findings indicate that corolla diameter could significantly affect seed set in C. tinctorius under the conditions in Ya’an, China, and corolla diameter affects seed set by the combined effect of multiple traits.  相似文献

Background and Aims

Anther appendages play diverse roles in anther dehiscence and pollen dispersal. This study aims to explore the pollen-dispensing mechanism triggered by special anther appendages in Incarvillea arguta.

Methods

Field studies were conducted to record floral characteristics, pollinator visitations, and flower–pollinator interactions. Measurements of flowers and pollinators were analysed statistically. Pollen counts following a series of floral manipulations were used to evaluate pollen dispensing efficiency and function of the anther appendages.

Key Results

Field observations determined that two species of Bombus (bumble-bees) were the primary pollinators of I. arguta with a mean visiting frequency of 1·42 visitations per flower h−1. The results display a diminishing pollen dispensing pattern; the proportion of remaining pollen removed by pollinators decreased from 27 % to 10 % and 7 % in subsequent visits. Anther appendages act as a trigger mechanism to dispense pollen. The arrangement of the anthers and appendages function to control pollen load and timing. Mechanical stimulation experiments revealed that one set of appendages is only triggered by stimulation in the direction moving into the flower, while the other set is only triggered by stimulation in the opposite direction (exiting the flower).

Conclusions

The anther appendage is a pollen-dispensing trigger mechanism. The configuration of the stamens and duel trigger system has evolved to allocate pollen in allotments to enhance male function.Key words: Incarvillea arguta, anther appendage, pollination biology, Bignoniaceae, stamen morphology, pollen dispensing  相似文献

Pollination ecology of Campanula species on Mt Olympos, Greece   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Nine Campanula species occurring along the elevation gradient of Mt Olympos were studied regarding their pollination ecology. The main issues considered were 1) the relative importance of various insect taxa as Campanula pollinators, 2) the patterns of pollinators' size and activity as a function of altitude, 3) the effect of pollinator exclusion on floral longevity, and 4) the extent to which the morphological difference of C. versicolor from the other Campanula species on Mt Olympos is expressed in its pollinating fauna. The vast majority of Campanula pollinators were solitary bees. Andrenidae and Megachilidae bees (mainly Chelostoma campanulorum) dominated the pollinating fauna of most species, Melittidae and bumblebees were the commonest pollinators of high altitude species. Campanula versicolor differs from the other Campanula species in that its corolla is not bell-shaped but flat. Mainly Apis mellifera, syrphid flies, and carpenter bees, unlike all other Campanula species on Mt Olympos pollinated it. At the species level, rather large altitudinal differences of Campanula populations did not result into large diversification of their pollinating fauna. The insect visitation rate to flowers decreased with altitude. When pollinators were excluded, the floral longevity of the species examined increased three to five times. Neither flower phase (male of female) was consistently favoured in the absence of pollinators. The pollen loads of the different insect taxa (Apis mellifera included) were of variable purity. The majority of Megachilidae bees carried pollen loads of high purity. Pollen loads from insects visiting Campanula species at high altitudes did not differ significantly in their purity from those visiting lowland species. The distribution of Campanula pollinators' body size along the altitudinal gradient exhibited a U-shaped pattern. No relationship was found between insect-pollinator body size and corolla size of Campanula species.  相似文献
