This paper explores the problem of synchronization of a class of generalized reaction-diffusion neural networks with mixed time-varying delays. The mixed time-varying delays under consideration comprise of both discrete and distributed delays. Due to the development and merits of digital controllers, sampled-data control is a natural choice to establish synchronization in continuous-time systems. Using a newly introduced integral inequality, less conservative synchronization criteria that assure the global asymptotic synchronization of the considered generalized reaction-diffusion neural network and mixed delays are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The obtained easy-to-test LMI-based synchronization criteria depends on the delay bounds in addition to the reaction-diffusion terms, which is more practicable. Upon solving these LMIs by using Matlab LMI control toolbox, a desired sampled-data controller gain can be acuqired without any difficulty. Finally, numerical examples are exploited to express the validity of the derived LMI-based synchronization criteria.  相似文献

This paper is pertained with the synchronization problem for an array of coupled discrete-time complex networks with the presence of both time-varying delays and parameter uncertainties. The time-varying delays are considered both in the network couplings and dynamical nodes. By constructing suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and utilizing convex reciprocal lemma, new synchronization criteria for the complex networks are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Delay-partitioning technique is employed to incur less conservative results. All the results presented here not only depend upon lower and upper bounds of the time-delay, but also the number of delay partitions. Numerical simulations are rendered to exemplify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed results.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the Lyapunov method, Itô’s differential formula and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, the global robust power-rate stability in mean square is discussed for genetic regulatory networks with unbounded time-varying delay, noise perturbations and parameter uncertainties. Sufficient conditions are given to ensure the robust power-rate stability (in mean square) of the genetic regulatory networks. Meanwhile, the criteria ensuring global power-rate stability in mean square are a byproduct of the criteria guaranteeing global robust power-rate stability in mean square. The obtained conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which are easy to be verified via the LMI toolbox. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained result.  相似文献

In this paper, the design problem of state estimator for genetic regulatory networks with time delays and randomly occurring uncertainties has been addressed by a delay decomposition approach. The norm-bounded uncertainties enter into the genetic regulatory networks (GRNs) in random ways, and such randomly occurring uncertainties (ROUs) obey certain mutually uncorrelated Bernoulli distributed white noise sequences. Under these circumstances, the state estimator is designed to estimate the true concentration of the mRNA and the protein of the uncertain GRNs. Delay-dependent stability criteria are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities by constructing a Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and using some inequality techniques (LMIs). Then, the desired state estimator, which can ensure the estimation error dynamics to be globally asymptotically robustly stochastically stable, is designed from the solutions of LMIs. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed estimation schemes.  相似文献

In this paper, a new synchronization problem for the collective dynamics among genetic oscillators with unbounded time-varying delay is investigated. The dynamical system under consideration consists of an array of linearly coupled identical genetic oscillators with each oscillators having unbounded time-delays. A new concept called power-rate synchronization, which is different from both the asymptotical synchronization and the exponential synchronization, is put forward to facilitate handling the unbounded time-varying delays. By using a combination of the Lyapunov functional method, matrix inequality techniques and properties of Kronecker product, we derive several sufficient conditions that ensure the coupled genetic oscillators to be power-rate synchronized. The criteria obtained in this paper are in the form of matrix inequalities. Illustrative example is presented to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of delay-interval-dependent stability criteria for switched Hopfield neural networks of neutral type with successive time-varying delay components. A novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii (L–K) functionals with triple integral terms which involves more information on the state vectors of the neural networks and upper bound of the successive time-varying delays is constructed. By using the famous Jensen’s inequality, Wirtinger double integral inequality, introducing of some zero equations and using the reciprocal convex combination technique and Finsler’s lemma, a novel delay-interval dependent stability criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be efficiently solved via standard numerical software. Moreover, it is also assumed that the lower bound of the successive leakage and discrete time-varying delays is not restricted to be zero. In addition, the obtained condition shows potential advantages over the existing ones since no useful term is ignored throughout the estimate of upper bound of the derivative of L–K functional. Using several examples, it is shown that the proposed stabilization theorem is asymptotically stable. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed approach with a four-tank benchmark real-world problem.  相似文献

A decentralized feedback control scheme is proposed to synchronize linearly coupled identical neural networks with time-varying delay and parameter uncertainties. Sufficient condition for synchronization is developed by carefully investigating the uncertain nonlinear synchronization error dynamics in this article. A procedure for designing a decentralized synchronization controller is proposed using linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. The designed controller can drive the synchronization error to zero and overcome disruption caused by system uncertainty and external disturbance.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of robust exponential stability for a class of recurrent neural networks with time-varying delays and parameter uncertainties. The time delays are not necessarily differentiable and the uncertainties are assumed to be time-varying but norm-bounded. Sufficient conditions, which guarantee that the concerned uncertain delayed neural network is robustly, globally, exponentially stable for all admissible parameter uncertainties, are obtained under a weak assumption on the neuron activation functions. These conditions are dependent on the size of the time delay and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed stability results.  相似文献

In this paper, the synchronization of a pair of pacemaker cells as Sino-Atrial (SA) and Atrio-Ventricullar (AV) nodes have been studied and a new approach for synchronization, based on the concept of Phase Response Curve (PRC), has been proposed. The paper starts with presenting the necessary and sufficient conditions for synchronization in terms of the PRC parameters. Such conditions are time dependent and thus, the paper proceeds with deriving some sufficient conditions, which are not time dependent. The time-delay between the firing time of SA node and when it reaches the AV node is also considered. When the conditions for spontaneous synchronization are not valid, the synchronization is achieved by applying pulses to the AV or the SA nodes or to both of the nodes, depending on the accessibility. The subject has been investigated and sufficient conditions were achieved for all three cases. In each case, the dynamical equations of coupled pacemakers have been determined and the stability analyses of delay dynamical equations between discharges of two pacemakers were performed. The number of excitation pulses and the time intervals for applying them to accessible pacemaker(s) were obtained and eventually some numerical examples were simulated to approve the accuracy of the theoretical results and conditions.  相似文献

Naturally, a cellular network consisted of a large amount of interacting cells is complex. These cells have to be synchronized in order to emerge their phenomena for some biological purposes. However, the inherently stochastic intra and intercellular interactions are noisy and delayed from biochemical processes. In this study, a robust synchronization scheme is proposed for a nonlinear stochastic time-delay coupled cellular network (TdCCN) in spite of the time-varying process delay and intracellular parameter perturbations. Furthermore, a nonlinear stochastic noise filtering ability is also investigated for this synchronized TdCCN against stochastic intercellular and environmental disturbances. Since it is very difficult to solve a robust synchronization problem with the Hamilton-Jacobi inequality (HJI) matrix, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) is employed to solve this problem via the help of a global linearization method. Through this robust synchronization analysis, we can gain a more systemic insight into not only the robust synchronizability but also the noise filtering ability of TdCCN under time-varying process delays, intracellular perturbations and intercellular disturbances. The measures of robustness and noise filtering ability of a synchronized TdCCN have potential application to the designs of neuron transmitters, on-time mass production of biochemical molecules, and synthetic biology. Finally, a benchmark of robust synchronization design in Escherichia coli repressilators is given to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper addresses the robust filtering problem for a class of linear genetic regulatory networks (GRNs) with stochastic disturbances, parameter uncertainties and time delays. The parameter uncertainties are assumed to reside in a polytopic region, the stochastic disturbance is state-dependent described by a scalar Brownian motion, and the time-varying delays enter into both the translation process and the feedback regulation process. We aim to estimate the true concentrations of mRNA and protein by designing a linear filter such that, for all admissible time delays, stochastic disturbances as well as polytopic uncertainties, the augmented state estimation dynamics is exponentially mean square stable with an expected decay rate. A delay-dependent linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is first developed to derive sufficient conditions that guarantee the exponential stability of the augmented dynamics, and then the filter gains are parameterized in terms of the solution to a set of LMIs. Note that LMIs can be easily solved by using standard software packages. A simulation example is exploited in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design procedures.  相似文献

In this paper, the synchronization problem for a class of discrete-time complex-valued neural networks with time-varying delays is investigated. Compared with the previous work, the time delay and parameters are assumed to be time-varying. By separating the real part and imaginary part, the discrete-time model of complex-valued neural networks is derived. Moreover, by using the complex-valued Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and linear matrix inequality as tools, sufficient conditions of the synchronization stability are obtained. In numerical simulation, examples are presented to show the effectiveness of our method.  相似文献

This paper investigates drive-response synchronization for a class of neural networks with time-varying discrete and distributed delays (mixed delays) as well as discontinuous activations. Strict mathematical proof shows the global existence of Filippov solutions to neural networks with discontinuous activation functions and the mixed delays. State feedback controller and impulsive controller are designed respectively to guarantee global exponential synchronization of the neural networks. By using Lyapunov function and new analysis techniques, several new synchronization criteria are obtained. Moreover, lower bound on the convergence rate is explicitly estimated when state feedback controller is utilized. Results of this paper are new and some existing ones are extended and improved. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper concerns the problem of global exponential synchronization for a class of memristor-based Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with time-varying discrete delays and unbounded distributed delays. The drive-response set is discussed. A novel controller is designed such that the response (slave) system can be controlled to synchronize with the drive (master) system. Through a nonlinear transformation, we get an alternative system from the considered memristor-based Cohen–Grossberg neural networks. By investigating the global exponential synchronization of the alternative system, we obtain the corresponding synchronization criteria of the considered memristor-based Cohen–Grossberg neural networks. Moreover, the conditions established in this paper are easy to be verified and improve the conditions derived in most of existing papers concerning stability and synchronization for memristor-based neural networks. Numerical simulations are given to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of function projective synchronization for a class of memristor-based Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with time-varying delays. Based on the theory of differential equations with discontinuous right-hand side, some novel criteria are obtained to realize the function projective synchronization of addressed networks by combining open loop control and linear feedback control. As some special cases, several control strategies are given to ensure the realization of complete synchronization, anti-synchronization and the stabilization of the considered memristor-based Cohen–Grossberg neural network. Finally, a numerical example and its simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a class of nonlinear uncertain switched networks with discrete time-varying delays . Based on the strictly complete property of the matrices system and the delay-decomposing approach, exploiting a new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional decomposing the delays in integral terms, the switching rule depending on the state of the network is designed. Moreover, by piecewise delay method, discussing the Lyapunov functional in every different subintervals, some new delay-dependent robust stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which lead to much less conservative results than those in the existing references and improve previous results. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper addresses the passivity problem for a class of memristor-based bidirectional associate memory (BAM) neural networks with uncertain time-varying delays. In particular, the proposed memristive BAM neural networks is formulated with two different types of memductance functions. By constructing proper Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and using differential inclusions theory, a new set of sufficient condition is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities which guarantee the passivity criteria for the considered neural networks. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.  相似文献

The robust asymptotic stability analysis for uncertain BAM neural networks with both interval time-varying delays and stochastic disturbances is considered. By using the stochastic analysis approach, employing some free-weighting matrices and introducing an appropriate type of Lyapunov functional which takes into account the ranges for delays, some new stability criteria are established to guarantee the delayed BAM neural networks to be robustly asymptotically stable in the mean square. Unlike the most existing mean square stability conditions for BAM neural networks, the supplementary requirements that the time derivatives of time-varying delays must be smaller than 1 are released and the lower bounds of time varying delays are not restricted to be 0. Furthermore, in the proposed scheme, the stability conditions are delay-range-dependent and rate-dependent/independent. As a result, the new criteria are applicable to both fast and slow time-varying delays. Three numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed criteria.  相似文献

Robust stability of stochastic delayed genetic regulatory networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Gene regulation is an intrinsically noisy process, which is subject to intracellular and extracellular noise perturbations and environment fluctuations. In this paper, we consider the robust stability analysis problem of genetic regulatory networks with time-varying delays and stochastic perturbation. Different from other papers, the genetic regulate system considers not only stochastic perturbation but also parameter disturbances, it is in close proximity to the real gene regulation process than determinate model. Based on the Lyapunov functional theory, sufficient conditions are given to ensure the stability of the genetic regulatory networks. All the stability conditions are given in terms of LMIs which are easy to be verified. Illustrative examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

Effects of time delay on the local and global synchronization in small-world neuronal networks with chemical synapses are investigated in this paper. Numerical results show that, for both excitatory and inhibitory coupling types, the information transmission delay can always induce synchronization transitions of spiking neurons in small-world networks. In particular, regions of in-phase and out-of-phase synchronization of connected neurons emerge intermittently as the synaptic delay increases. For excitatory coupling, all transitions to spiking synchronization occur approximately at integer multiples of the firing period of individual neurons; while for inhibitory coupling, these transitions appear at the odd multiples of the half of the firing period of neurons. More importantly, the local synchronization transition is more profound than the global synchronization transition, depending on the type of coupling synapse. For excitatory synapses, the local in-phase synchronization observed for some values of the delay also occur at a global scale; while for inhibitory ones, this synchronization, observed at the local scale, disappears at a global scale. Furthermore, the small-world structure can also affect the phase synchronization of neuronal networks. It is demonstrated that increasing the rewiring probability can always improve the global synchronization of neuronal activity, but has little effect on the local synchronization of neighboring neurons.  相似文献
