A Taxonomic Note on the Little Known Family Prostomidae in Korea (Coleoptera: Tenebrionoidea)

A taxonomic study of the Korean Prostomidae is presented. Two species (Prostomis latoris Reitter, P. mordax Reitter) are recognized and P. mordax is reported for the first time in Korea. Comparison with type specimens was made. An illustration of the habitus and line drawings of diagnostic characters are provided.     

Taxonomic review of the subfamily Nacerdinae (Coleoptera: Oedemeridae) in Korea

Here, we present a taxonomic review of the oedemerid subfamily Nacerdinae in Korea. Eleven species in five genera under two tribes are recognized. The subgenus Nacerdes (Patiala), represented by Nacerdes (Patiala) ocularis (Lewis), is identified for the first time in Korea. Keys, diagnoses, habitus photos of adults, and drawings of male genitalia are provided.     

Taxonomic review of the genus Copelatus Erichson (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) in Korea

A taxonomic review of the genus Copelatus Erichson (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) in Korea is presented. In the present study, five species of Copelatus are recognized from Korea, including one unrecorded species, C. kammuriensis. We provide a key to the Korean species of Copelatus, diagnosis of one unrecorded species, habitus photographs, scanning electron micrographs of the elytron, and illustrations of the aedeagus.     

Taxonomic Review of the Family Lycidae (Coleoptera) in Korea

We reviewed the family Lycidae in Korea. The Korean Lycidae was recorded to fourteen species under eight genera until now. However, the taxonomy of Korean species was conducted without comparative analysis. We revised the Korean Lycidae to eleven species under seven genera of two subfamilies. Also, we provided the key to subfamilies, gernera, and species including illustrations of pronotum and aedeagus, the photos of adult habitus.     

Taxonomic review of the Cleridae (Coleoptera) in Korea (Part 1): Clerinae Latreille, 1802

A taxonomic review of six genera of Korean Clerinae is presented. Eleven species, including Stigmatium pilosellum (Gorham, 1878), a new Korean record, are reported in this paper. A key to the Korean species and genera, diagnoses, whole‐body photographs of adults, and illustrations of diagnostic characters are provided.     

Taxonomic Review of the Tribe Ulomini (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) in Korea

The tribe Ulomini of Korean Tenebrionidae is reviewed taxonomically. Korean Ulomini recorded to three genera and six species, Cneocnemis laminipes Gebien, Uloma marseuli Nakane, U. latimanus Kolbe, U. excisa Nakane, U. bonzica Marseul, Eutochia lateralis (Boheman). We have found that U. exciza was misidentified U. bonzica, and E. lateralis was not distributed in Korea as the result of this study. We confirm that two genera and four species are distributed in Korea. A key to diagnosis of the genera and species, and figures of these species are presented.     

Taxonomic Review of the Tribe Tenebrionini (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) in Korea

ABSTRACT The tribe Tenebrionini of Korean Tenebronidae is reviewed taxonomically. Five species, Encyalesthus violaceipennis (Marseul), Menephilus lucens Marseul, Neatus ventralis (Marseul), Tenebrio molitor Linné, Tenebrio obscurus Fabricius, are recognized in Korea. A key to diagnosis of the genera and species, and figures of these species are presented.     

Taxonomic review of the Haliplidae (Coleoptera) in the Korean peninsula

A taxonomic review of Korean Haliplidae Aubé is presented. Eight species in two genera are recognized, one of which (Haliplus diruptus Balfour‐Browne) is reported for the first time in South Korea. We also found that H. ovalis Sharp previously recorded in the Korean peninsula was an incorrect identification of H. chinensis Falkenström. Habitus and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) photographs, diagnoses of genera, additional characters of species and diagnostic characters with illustrations of the species are provided.     

Descriptions of two new species of Histeridae (Coleoptera) in Korea

Two new species [Tribalus (Tribalus) koreanus Ôhara and Ahn new species and Gnathoncus koreanus Ôhara and Ahn new species] are described from the Chungnam National University Insect Collection in Korea. Hololepta (Hololepta) higoniae Lewis is new to the Korean fauna. Taxonomic Note on Littoral Aleochara Gravenhorst Species in Korea (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae)

A taxonomic note of the littoral Aleochara Gravenhorst species in Korea is presented. Five species are recognized from intertidal zone. Aleochara trisulcata Weise and A. fucicola Sharp are reported for the first time in Korea and southern Korea, respectively. A key, a checklist of Korean littoral Aleochara species, and drawings of median lobes and spermathecae are provided.     

Taxonomic review of the tribe Oxyptilini (Lepidoptera: Pterophoridae) from Korea

The tribe Oxyptilini of the family Pterophoridae in Korea is reviewed. Four species, Capperia trichodactyla (Denis & Schiffermüller 1775), Oxyptilus chrysodactylus ([Denis & Schiffermüller] 1775), Procapperia pelecyntes (Meyrick 1908), and Tomotilus celebrates (Meyrick 1932) comb. nov., are newly reported from Korea. All recognized species are described with taxonomic notes and illustrations including male and female genitalia. Keys to the species are also presented.     

Two Newly Recorded Coprophagid Species from Korea (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae and Aphodiidae)

A species of Scarabaeidae, Panelus parvulus Waterhouse and a species of Aphodiidae, Aphodius fossor (Linné) are newly recorded from Korea. The diagnosis and photographs of them are provided.     

A Taxonomic Review of the Genus Platydema Laporte and Brulle in Korea (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Diaperinae)

Taxanomic review of Korean Platydema Laporte and Brulle of tribe Diaperini in Tenebrionidae is presented. Eight species including P. marseuli Lewis, 1894 recorded newly in Korea are described here. We provide a key to Korean species, diagnoses, lists of feeding fungi and photos for them.     

Taxonomic review of genus Sejanus Distant (Heteroptera: Miridae: Phylinae) from Korea,with a new species

Four species of Sejanus Distant, 1910 recognized from the Korean Peninsula including the first record of S. komabanus (Yasunaga et al., 2013), S. vivaricolus (Yasunaga et al., 2013) and a new species herein described, S. yasunagai Oh, Duwal & Lee sp. nov. Each species is diagnosed with images of dorsal habitus, male and female genitalic structures. A Taxonomic Study of the Genus Agathidium Panzer (Coleoptera: Leiodidae) from Korea, Part II. Subgenus Agathidium

A taxonomic study of the subgenus Agathidium of the genus Agathidium Panzer in Korea is presented. Four species [Agathidium (Agathidium) coreanum Angelini, A. (A.) crassicorne Portevin, A. (A.) merkli Angelini, and A. (A.) oblongum Angelini] are recognized. Agathidium (A.) mequignoni Roubal recorded by Angelini is misidentification of A. (A.) crassicorne Portevin. Spermatheca of A. (A.) merkli is illustrated for the first time. A key to the species, diagnoses and illustrations of diagnostic characters are provided.
