The genus Dendrokingstonia (Annonaceae) is taxonomically revised and palynologically studied. Three species are recognized, one of which, D. gardneri , is described as new to science. One new combination, D. acuminata , is made. The genus occurs from southern Thailand to Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra. On the basis of macromorphology and pollen characters, it is considered to be related to Monocarpia. Both genera show a combination of macromorphological characters that is rare in the family, i.e. considerably enlarged stigmas, leaves with percurrent tertiary veins, a highly reduced number of carpels per flower and relatively large monocarps with a thick, hard wall. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy show that the pollen grains of Dendrokingstonia and Monocarpia are monosulcate monads with a columellate infratectum and a more or less bulging intine at the sulcus. © 2011 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2012, 168 , 76–90. 相似文献

A taxonomic revision of Tectaria from New Caledonia is presented here based on a thorough study of herbarium specimens from New Caledonia and adjacent Pacific islands. Six species of Tectaria are presently recognized in New Caledonia. Tectaria kouniensis and T. pseudosinuata are reduced to synonyms of T. dissecta and T. sinuata, respectively. The morphological limit between T. seemannii and T. sinuata and the confused specimen citations in previous accounts are clarified. Apart from T. dissecta, the other five species, i.e. T. lifuensis, T. moorei, T. seemannii, T. sinuata and T. vieillardii, are mainly distributed in New Caledonia, with only T. seemannii and T. sinuata recently reported also from Vanuatu. A key to species, typification of accepted names and relevant synonyms, and brief comments on the relationships of species are provided. 相似文献

A morphometric study of the known populations of Genista pulchella has been undertaken, based on herbarium specimens and field research. This has made it possible to provide a new taxonomic outline as the disjunct populations of G. pulchella (western part of the Balkan peninsula, central Italy and southern France) seem to be distinct. A new taxon is described: G. pulchella ssp. aquilana ssp. nov. (central Italy), a new combination G. pulchella ssp. villarsiana comb. nov. is proposed for the population from southern France, while G. pulchella ssp. pulchella can be considered endemic to the Balkan Peninsula. Several taxa have previously been recognized within Secale , but most of them are difficult or even impossible to distinguish morphologically. We recognize only three species: S. sylvestre, S. strictum , and S. cereale. Secale strictum has priority over S. montanum and has two subspecies, ssp. strictum and ssp. africanum , and two varieties within ssp. strictum , van strictum and var. ciliatoglume comb. nov. Secale cereale is also treated as having two subspecies. The cultivated taxa, marked by their tough rachises, are placed in ssp. cereale and the wild or weedy taxa that have more or less fragile rachis, in ssp. ancestrale. A complete synonymy is given for S. cereale , but typification has been omitted because, in many instances, type material does not exist or has been impossible to trace. 相似文献

This paper includes studies on Heliotropium marifolium complex from India. Five new combinations in Euploca from H. sect. Orthostachys are proposed here. H. marifolium, H. marifolium subsp. wallichii, H. rottleri, H. cornutum and H. madurense are transferred to the genus Euploca. Cephalaria kleinii Ranjbar & Z. Ranjbar sp. nova from Iran is described and illustrated. It is confined to Mazandaran province in northern Iran. The new species is closely related to C. kotschyi Boiss. & Hohen., but differs from it by its abaxial leaves colour, its basal leaves shape, dissection and petiole length, by the shape of apices of lateral and terminal segments of the cauline leaves, by the shape of apices of lateral and terminal segments of the upper leaves and by peduncle length. Furthermore, C. axillaris is resurrected and lectotypes are designated for C. axillaris and C. kotschyi for the first time. 相似文献
