The TSH effect on slice and the incubation medium cyclic AMP levels and T3 and T4 released from 8 autonomously functioning thyroid nodules (AFTN) and their respective perinodular (PN) tissues were examined. The thyroid slices were incubated in Eagle's Medium containing TSH (5 to 100 mU/ml) for 60 min and 300 min for tissue cyclic AMP generation and for cyclic AMP, T3 and T4 release, respectively. Basal cyclic AMP levels were not different either in AFTN and in PN slices or into the incubation medium. In both tissues TSH produced a similar cyclic AMP generation. In contrast, cyclic AMP released into the incubation medium was significantly higher in AFTN than in PN tissues, after TSH stimulation. Basal T3 values and TSH-stimulated T3 release in AFTN were not different from PN tissue. However, basal T4 levels were significantly higher in AFTN than in PN tissue as well as T4 released in response to TSH. In addition, T3/T4 ratio was lower in AFTN than in PN tissues. The cyclic AMP released into the incubation medium correlated with both T3 and T4 release in PN tissue but in the AFTN tissue no correlations were found. These findings suggest that the adenylate cyclase-cyclic AMP system is more sensitive to TSH-stimulation in AFTN when compared with PN tissue and that AFTN tissue has a preferential T4 secretion.  相似文献

The effect of suppressive treatment with thyroid hormones on thyroidal iodothyronines and T4/T3 ratio in nodular and paranodular tissues was investigated in 12 patients with nontoxic goiter. Results were compared to those from 11 nontreated patients. Continuous thyroid hormone administration produced a significant increase in thyroidal T4 and T4/T3 ratio in nodular tissues while T3 remained unchanged. In paranodular tissues a significant rise of T4/T3 ratio, an insignificant increase in T4 and a decrease in T3 were observed following the administration of thyroid hormones. The results are very similar to those obtained in paranodular tissue of autonomously functioning thyroid nodule, and are probably the consequence of suppressed TSH secretion, as TSH predominantly stimulates the synthesis of T3 and/or thyroidal T4 monodeiodination.  相似文献

The response in serum thyrotropin (TSH) to synthetic thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) as well as serum free thyroxine index (FT4I) and free triiodothyronine index (FT3I) was investigated in six patients with familial thyroxine-binding-globulin (TBG) deficiency. The total serum thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) concentrations were significantly decreased, compared with those of normal subjects (3.4 +/- 0.9 microgram/dl, mean +/- SD. vs. 9.0 +/- 1.5 microgram/dl, p less than 0.01 and 87 +/- 27 ng/dl vs. 153 +/- 37 ng/dl, p less than 0.01, respectively). FT4I was lower than the normal range in all but one (5.3 +/- 1.5 vs. 8.9 +/- 1.6, p less than 0.01), whereas FT3I was all in the normal range and of no significant difference from the normal control (132 +/- 22 vs. 148 +/- 25). Serum TSH concentrations in TBG deficiency were all in the normal range (1.0-4.2 muU/ml) and the maximum TSH increments following TRH 500 microgram iv were 8.9 +/- 2.0 muU/ml and of no significant difference from the normal control (10.2 +/- 4.5 muU/ml). These results indicate that the euthyroid state in familial TBG deficiency is more clearly defined by TRH-test and the normal response to TRH in familial TBG deficiency is presumably under the control of the serum free T3 level rather than the serum free T4 level.  相似文献

Cold acclimation induces very divergent responses in thyroid function in reptiles and mammals reflective of their different thermoregulatory modes. Naked mole-rats, unlike other small mammals, are unable to effectively employ endothermy and are operatively poikilotherms. We therefore investigated changes in their thyroid status with chronic cold exposure. Under simulated burrow conditions, free thyroxine (T(4); 0.39 +/- 0.09 ng/dl) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH; 1.12 +/- 0.56 microIU/ml) levels fell within the reptilian range, one order of magnitude lower than mammalian levels. However, cold induced typical mammalian responses: free T(4) levels (0.55 +/- 0.09 ng/dl) and thyroid follicular cell height were significantly greater. Although TSH levels (1.28 +/- 0.83 microIU/ml) were not significantly elevated, thyrotrophs exhibited ultrastructural signs of increased secretory activity. Low thyroid hormone concentrations may contribute substantially to the unusual thermoregulatory mode exhibited by naked mole-rats.  相似文献

AIMS: We evaluated morphological, biochemical and cytological thyroid parameters in acromegalic patients, investigated before and after treatment for acromegaly. PATIENTS: 28 acromegalics were investigated before and, in 18 cases, after 2-7 years of therapy. Fourteen patients were from areas of moderate iodine deficiency in Southern Italy. One patient underwent thyroidectomy before entering this study. RESULTS: 19 patients were euthyroid (FT4: 17.7 +/- 0.8 pmol/l and FT3 4.6 +/- 0.2 pmol/l), but TSH was undetectable in 5/19. Among them, TRH-stimulated TSH increase was absent/impaired or exaggerated/delayed in 9 and one cases, respectively. Decreased FT3 and/or FT4 values with low/normal TSH values were detected in 7 cases; TRH-stimulated TSH response was absent/impaired in 2 patients and exaggerated/delayed in another two. Increased free T4 and free T3 concentrations with undetectable TSH levels were found in one. Two euthyroid patients had high TPOAb levels. Goiter was diagnosed in 21 cases and nodules were found in 14/21. 99Tc scintiscan showed "cold" areas in 13/14 cases and a "hot" nodule in the hyperthyroid patient. Acromegalics from iodine deficient areas showed a not significant increase of prevalence of goiter (86 vs. 71 %) and of mean thyroid volume (35 +/- 7 vs. 28 +/- 4 ml, NS), compared to others. Thyroid volume (TV) did not correlate with GH, IGF-1 and TSH levels, the area under the curve of insulin-increase during OGTT, the age of patients or the duration of acromegaly. Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), performed in 11/14 patients with nodular goiter, showed colloid nodules in 8 cases, hyperplastic nodules in 2 and an adenomatous nodule in one. Neurosurgery, radiotherapy or medical treatment for acromegaly induced a significant decrease of mean GH and IGF-1 levels (21.5 +/- 8.5 vs. 12.9 +/- 9.6 ng/ml, p< 0.005 and 747 +/- 94 vs. 503 +/- 88 ng/ml, p < 0.02, respectively), but both GH and IGF-1 values normalized only in 3 cases. No significant variation of mean TSH levels was found. Although TV normalized in 3 patients, ultrasound evaluation showed a not significant decrease of mean TV and no changes in the diameter and number of nodules. FNAB was unchanged. CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest that, despite no correlation between serum GH and IGF-1 levels and thyroid volume being found, a decrease in serum GH and IGF-1 levels has favourable effects on thyroid status.  相似文献

Objective: To correlate the size of autonomously functioning thyroid nodules (AFTNs) with thyroid function tests. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed of data from patients with a diagnosis of a single AFTN who were seen in a university-based endocrinology clinic between January 1, 2003, and December 31, 2015. Patients with a nuclear thyroid scan confirming the presence of an AFTN without significant cystic degeneration were included in the study. Results: The volume of the AFTN and the corresponding thyroid function tests were compared in 32 patients who met inclusion criteria. There was no correlation between the volume of the AFTN and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels (r2 = 0.044). There was also no volume threshold below which an AFTN was always associated with a TSH within the reference range. Conclusion: The results agree with the findings of other recent studies comparing the volume of AFTNs with TSH levels, suggesting that smaller nodules can still demonstrate subclinical and overt hyperthyroidism and that a normal TSH level does not preclude the presence of an AFTN.Abbreviations: AFTN = autonomously functioning thyroid nodule; T3 = triiodothyronine; T4 = thyroxine; TSH = thyroid-stimulating hormone  相似文献

The thyroid physiology of athymic nude rats, rnu/rnu, is characterized and established here as an animal model to study transplanted thyroid tumors. Male rats were catheterized 5 days before experiments were started. The mean thyroid-stimulating-hormone (TSH) plasma concentrations were 2.9 +/- 0.6 ng/ml during infusion of 0.25 ml/h of 0.9% NaCl (n = 12). T3 plasma concentrations were 2.6 +/- 0.4 ng/ml. T4 plasma levels were 22.0 +/- 5.6 micrograms/dl. A bolus of 0.1 mg thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) significantly increased TSH plasma concentrations (P less than or equal to 0.001; from 2.9 +/- 0.6 to 7.8 +/- 1.1 ng/ml, n = 12). No pulsatile TSH secretion was observed in a 2-hour period with blood samples taken every 10 minutes (n = 12) and hourly sampling disclosed no circadian variation of TSH during a 24-hour period (n = 4). Successful xenografting was possible in 12 of 15 cases using a follicular thyroid carcinoma cell line (FTC 133). Measurement of human thyroglobulin (hTg) by a hTg IRMA revealed high levels in rats with functional FTC tumors, whereas no hTg was detected in untransplanted rats or animals with nonfunctional transplants.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to elucidate the effect of glibenclamide, one of sulfonylurea drugs, on thyroid hormone metabolism in vivo and on the conversion of thyroxine (T4) to 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine (T3) in the isolated perfused rat liver and kidney. Glibenclamide (0.2 mg/kg body weight) was intraperitoneally administered to normal and streptozotocin-induced (50 mg/kg) diabetic rats for 14 days. The liver and kidney of normal rats were perfused for 30 minutes with a synthetic medium containing 20 micrograms/dl T4 and glibenclamide (200 or 400 ng/ml), and production of T3 in the tissues was measured by radioimmunoassay. Serum T4 and T3 levels in control and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were not changed by daily intraperitoneal glibenclamide administration. The production of T3 (111 +/- 40 and 95 +/- 16 ng/g/30 min, mean +/- SD) and the conversion rate of T4 to T3 (11.1 +/- 2.9 and 10.2 +/- 2.3%) in the liver perfused with glibenclamide (200 and 400 ng/ml) were not significantly different from those in controls (109 +/- 41 ng/g/30 min and 12.8 +/- 5.4%). And those (120 +/- 33 and 99 +/- 19 ng/g/30 min, and 3.5 +/- 0.6 and 2.5 +/- 0.4%) in the kidney perfused with glibenclamide (200 and 400 ng/ml) were similar to those in controls (98 +/- 33 ng/g/30 min and 3.0 +/- 1.5%).  相似文献

Cholera toxin activated beef thyroid cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase in a dose (0.2 to 8 microgram/ml)-related fashion. Thus, when beef thyroid slices were incubated with toxin (8 microgram/ml) for 90 minutes and then assayed for protein kinase, the activity ratio (i.e. -cyclic AMP/+cyclic AMP) increased from 0.32 +/- 0.02 to 0.77 +/- 0.06. The toxin (5 microgram/ml)-induced increase was abolished by inclusion of ganglioside GM1 in the incubation medium (I50, 0.7 microgram/ml), whereas, gangliosides GD1a and GT1 were without effect. In contrast, TSH-activated protein kinase was unaffected by ganglioside addition. Cholera toxin increased rat thyroid ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity in-vitro in a dose (0.1 to 10 microgram/ml)-related fashion [basal, 100 cf cholera toxin (10 microgram/ml), 1500 pmol 14CO2/g tissue/30 min]. The toxin (1 microgram/ml)- (but not TSH-) induced increase in ODC was abolished by inclusion of ganglioside Ga and GT1 were without effect. Cholera toxin stimulation of ODC was inhibited by indomethacin or iodide as are the stimulatory effects of TSH or dibutyryl cyclic AMP. These results demonstrate that although there are differences in the TSH and cholera toxin responses with respect to receptor (ganglioside) interaction, they nevertheless elicit similar intracellular responses in thyroid.  相似文献

It has been observed that basal and/or TRH-stimulated serum TSH levels occasionally conflict with the actual values of circulating thyroid hormones in patients with anorexia nervosa. In the present study sixteen female patients with anorexia nervosa during self-induced starvation displayed clinical findings suggesting hypothyroidism, e.g., cold intolerance, constipation, bradycardia, hypothermia and hypercholesterolemia in association with decreased serum total T3 (62.8 +/- 5.2 ng/dl) and T4 (6.6 +/- 0.3 micrograms/dl). Markedly decreased T3 correlated positively with average heart rate (r = 0.5655, P less than 0.025) and negatively with total cholesterol (r = -0.7413, P less than 0.005). This result may suggest that peripheral metabolic state of the underweight anorexics depends considerably upon the serum T3 concentration. Despite decreased total thyroid hormones, free T4 assayed by radioimmunoassay was normal in all five cases examined (1.4 +/- 0.2 ng/dl) and the free T4 index in fifteen cases was normal except in one case. Basal TSH was not increased and TSH response to exogenous TRH was not exaggerated in any. These results may be compatible with a theory that free T4 has a dominant influence on pituitary TSH secretion. Furthermore, glucocorticoids may also have some influence on depressed TSH response, because an inverse correlation between increased plasma cortisol and the sum of net TSH increase after TRH was observed in twelve cases examined. In conclusion, it is suggested that normal sensitivity of peripheral tissues and pituitary thyrotroph to different circulating thyroid hormones is maintained in anorexia nervosa patients even during severe self-induced starvation, and that the metabolic state in these patients is considerably under the influence of circulating T3.  相似文献

Serum levels of thyrotrophin (TSH), prolactin (PRL), free thyroxine (FT4) and free triiodothyronine (FT3) were determined before and after physical exercise in 21 normal male subjects. The subjects were divided into 3 groups as follows: group I--light exercise (exercise on the Mijnhardt bicycle ergometer at 100 Watts for 15 min); group II--moderate exercise (a 5 km marathon); group III--heavy exercise (a 10 km marathon). In group I, TSH level rose from 1.96 +/- 0.42 mu u/ml (mean +/- SEM) to 2.52 +/- 0.30 mu u/ml (p less than 0.01), and PRL levels rose from 11.0 +/- 2.0 ng/ml to 19.0 +/- 5.2 ng/ml (p less than 0.01). In group II, TSH rose from 2.11 +/- 0.51 mu u/ml to 2.62 +/- 0.56 mu u/ml (p less than 0.05), and PRL rose from 11.2 +/- 1.6 ng/ml to 24.0 +/- 5.2 ng/ml (p less than 0.01). In group III, TSH rose from 2.01 +/- 0.41 mu u/ml to 2.36 +/- 0.45 mu u/ml (p less than 0.02), and PRL rose from 12.1 +/- 2.0 ng/ml to 47.7 +/- 9.3 ng/ml (p less than 0.01). The serum levels of FT4 showed different results among the three groups: Group I showed an increased response from 1.60 +/- 0.12 ng/dl to 1.72 +/- 0.12 ng/dl (p less than 0.01); Group II showed no significant difference; and group III demonstrated a diminished response from 1.61 +/- 0.14 ng/dl to 1.45 +/- 0.16 ng/dl (p less than 0.05).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

This is the first report to show that polypeptide hormone increases cellular calmodulin contents. In cultured porcine thyroid cells, 6 days' exposure to TSH (above 0.02 mU/ml) increased cellular calmodulin contents. Six days' exposure to TSH also increased calcium uptake in thyroid cells. This TSH-stimulated increase in calcium uptake was partly due to the increase in cellular calmodulin contents.  相似文献

We report a 31-year-old female with Graves' disease associated with an autonomously functioning thyroid nodule (AFTN) (Marine-Lenhalt syndrome) in which the AFTN spontaneously became a cold nodule. Initially the patient was thyrotoxic and had diffuse goiter with an elevated radioiodine uptake. She became euthyroid following six months of antithyroid drug therapy, and in addition to diffuse goiter, the solitary hot nodule was palpable in the left lobe. Fourteen months later, hyperthyroidism recurred and the thyroid scan revealed diffuse radioiodine uptake with a cold area in the nodular region. The resected nodule showed extensive degeneration and the histological diagnosis was follicular adenoma with Graves' disease. We discussed the significance of recognizing the syndrome and also compared the frequency of spontaneous degeneration in AFTN and in solitary cold nodules.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Autonomous thyroid nodules can be treated by a variety of methods. We assessed the efficacy of percutaneous ethanol injection in treating autonomous thyroid nodules. METHODS: 35 patients diagnosed by technetium-99 scanning with hyperfunctioning nodules and suppressed sensitive TSH (sTSH) were given sterile ethanol injections under ultrasound guidance. 29 patients had clinical and biochemical hyperthyroidism. The other 6 had sub-clinical hyperthyroidism with suppressed sTSH levels (<0.24 &mgr;IU/ml) and normal thyroid hormone levels. Ethanol injections were performed once every 1-4 weeks. Ethanol injections were stopped when serum T3, T4 and sTSH levels had returned to normal, or else injections could no longer be performed because significant side effects. Patients were followed up at 3, 6 and, in 15 patients, 24 months after the last injection. RESULTS: Average pre-treatment nodule volume [18.2 PlusMinus; 12.7 ml] decreased to 5.7 PlusMinus; 4.6 ml at 6 months follow-up [P < 0.001]. All patients had normal thyroid hormone levels at 3 and 6 months follow-up [P < 0.001 relative to baseline]. sTSH levels increased from 0.09 PlusMinus; 0.02 &mgr;IU/ml to 0.65 PlusMinus; 0.8 &mgr;IU/ml at the end of therapy [P < 0.05]. Only 3 patients had persistent sTSH suppression at 6 months post-therapy. T4 and sTSH did not change significantly between 6 months and 2 years [P > 0.05]. Ethanol injections were well tolerated by the patients, with only 2 cases of transient dysphonia. CONCLUSION: Our findings indicate that ethanol injection is an alternative to surgery or radioactive iodine in the treatment of autonomous thyroid nodules.  相似文献

Type II deiodinase (D2) is important in the regulation of local thyroid hormone bioactivity in certain tissues. D2 in skeletal muscle may also play a role in serum triiodothyronine (T(3)) production. In this study, we identified a polymorphism in the 5'-UTR of the D2 gene (D2-ORFa-Gly3Asp). We investigated the association of D2-ORFa-Gly3Asp, and of the previously identified D2-Thr92Ala polymorphism, with serum iodothyronine levels. D2-ORFa-Gly3Asp was identified by sequencing the 5'-UTR of 15 randomly selected individuals. Genotypes for D2-ORFa-Gly3Asp were determined in 156 healthy blood donors (age 46.3 +/- 12.2 yr) and 349 ambulant elderly men (age 77.7 +/- 3.5 yr) and related to serum iodothyronine and TSH levels. D2-ORFa-Asp(3) had an allele frequency of 33.9% in blood bank donors and was associated with serum thyroxine (T(4); Gly/Gly vs. Gly/Asp vs. Asp/Asp = 7.06 +/- 0.14 vs. 6.74 +/- 0.15 vs. 6.29 +/- 0.27 microg/dl, P = 0.01), free T(4) (1.22 +/- 0.02 vs. 1.16 +/- 0.02 vs. 1.06 +/- 0.04 ng/dl, P = 0.001), reverse T(3) (P = 0.01), and T(3)/T(4) ratio (P = 0.002) in a dose-dependent manner, but not with serum T(3) (P = 0.59). In elderly men, D2-ORFa-Asp(3) had a similar frequency but was not associated with serum iodothyronine levels. This new polymorphism in the 5'-UTR of D2 is associated with iodothyronine levels in blood donors but not in elderly men. We hypothesize that this might be explained by the decline in skeletal muscle size during aging, resulting in a relative decrease in the contribution of D2 to serum T(3) production.  相似文献

Six nodular tissues of non-treated and four of treated patients (suppressive treatment with thyroid hormones from three months to two years until the operation) with nodular non-toxic goitre contained low T3 (less than 1 ug/g w.w.). The results of iodothyronines and thyroglobulin (Tg) were compared with respective tissues containing T3 greater than 1 ug/g w.w. In non-treated patients, nodular tissues with low T3 and very high T4/T3 ratio showed T4 and Tg concentrations not different from the tissues with T3 greater than 1 ug/g w.w. In the goitres with low T3 of treated patients, T4 was also reduced but disproportionately to T3. Microscopically, nodular goitres with low T3 were characterized with gross fibrous infiltration and diffuse haemorrhage which was substantially different from histological findings in nodular goitres with T3 greater than 1 ug/g w.w. High T4/T3 ratio in the tissues with low T3 is similar to increased T4/T3 ratio in paranodular tissues of autonomously functioning adenomas. The results suggest that low T3 and high T4/T3 ratio in nodular goitrous tissue could be due to grossly impaired thyroid function or due to suppressed secretion of TSH.  相似文献

Calcium ions have been shown to play a mojor regulatory role in the release of various hormones from a wide variety of endocrine organs. More recently, in vitro evidence suggests that a calcium-binding protein, calmodulin, is also involved in the release of many hormones. So we examined the effects of several types of calmodulin antagonists on TSH-stimulated thyroid hormone release in vitro. Mouse thyroid lobes (one thyro-tracheal unit/tube) were incubated in Krebs-Ringer bicarbonate buffer at 37 degrees C for 4h. Free thyroxine (fT4) released in the incubation medium, thyroidal cAMP and calmodulin content were measured by RIA. TSH (5 mU/ml) and dibutyryl cAMP (DBC) (200 micrograms/ml) caused a 2-4 fold increase in thyroidal release of fT4. The stimulatory effects of TSH on fT4 release were significantly inhibited by trifluoprazine and prenylamine lactate at the concentration of 5 X 10(-5) M. More specific calmodulin antagonists, W-7 and W-13, were also shown to inhibit TSH stimulation of fT4 release at the concentration of 5 X 10(-5) M. In contrast, TSH stimulation of fT4 release was not depressed by non-specific antagonists, W-5 or W-12, at the same concentration as 5 X 10(-5) M. Further, W-13 also markedly inhibited DBC-stimulated fT4 release. Neither TSH nor PGI2 altered the thyroidal calmodulin content, dissociating with a marked increase in the cAMP concentration. These results suggest that calmodulin plays an important role in TSH-stimulated thyroid hormone release and further that this mechanism exists, at least in part, at the site subsequent to the generation of cAMP.  相似文献

In adult Anuran and neotenic Urodela, bred in laboratory conditions, the levels of plasma thyroid hormones are undetectable (T3 less than 50 ng/100 ml, T4 less than 5 ng/100 ml). Thyroid function can be reactivated after ovine TSH treatment. Under those conditions, metamorphosis is induced in the axolotl and T4 plasmatic levels reaches 0,53 +/- 0,13 micrograms/100 ml and those of T3 9 +/- 2,64 ng/100 ml. In adult Anuran, thyroid reactivation under thyrotropic treatment determines an increased secretion of T4 whereas T3 remains below the limits of detection of the assay procedure. This aptitude of adult Anuran thyroid to answer thyrotropic stimulation suggests a cyclic function of the gland after metamorphosis.  相似文献

The chronic effect of TSH on thyroidal cAMP concentrations and release of thyroid hormones was investigated using human thyroid tissue in organ culture. Normal human thyroid slices were placed in HAM's F-10 synthetic culture medium in Falcon organ tissue culture dishes, and incubated at 37 degrees in a humidified atmosphere of 5% CO2 in air. Medium was changed everyday and daily T3 or T4 release was determined using concentration of T3 or T4 in the medium. After incubation, slices were transferred to the medium containing 10 mM theophylline and incubated without TSH for an additional 30 min to determine thyroidal cAMP concentrations. Thyroidal cAMP concentrations in slices incubated with 10 mU/ml of TSH increased significantly at 2, 6, and 24 hr and even on the 6th day of incubation. Daily T3 release was significantly increased above control from the 3rd day and daily T4 release from the 4th day to the 11th day of incubation with 10 mU/ml of TSH. Histologically, almost all follicles were structurally maintained even on the 11th day of incubation. These results suggest that both thyroidal cAMP concentrations and release of thyroid hormones are stimulated chronically by TSH. This organ culture system is useful for investigating chronic effects of various materials on human thyroid tissue.  相似文献

The effect of the beta-adrenergic blockers L-alprenolol and DL-propranolol and of the beta-adrenergic agonist L-isoprenaline on the basal and thyrotropic hormone(TSH)-stimulated cyclic adenosine-monophosphate (cAMP) level in bovine thyroid slices was studied. The main basal cAMP level in bovine thyroid slices was 3 pmol/mg tissue. TSH stimulated cAMP production in correlation to the concentration. Maximum stimulation was achieved with a TSH concentration of 10 mU/ml. The beta-blockers DL-propranolol and L-alprenolol caused 74 and 77% inhibition of TSH-stimulated cAMP synthesis respectively. The beta-adrenergic agonist L-isoprenaline did not significantly affect either the basal or the TSH-stimulated cAMP level. The role of the beta-adrenergic receptor system in the regulation of TSH-stimulated cAMP synthesis is discussed.  相似文献
