间种牧草枣林捕食性节肢动物群落结构的动态   总被引:9,自引:3,他引:9  
应用群落结构特征参数与主分量分析,对间种不同牧草枣林中捕食性节肢动物群落的结构和动态进行了研究.结果表明,蜘蛛与捕食性昆虫是间种牧草枣林的主要捕食性节肢动物群落,其相对丰盛度分别为48.3%~52.7%和38.8%~ 44.4%.间种不同牧草枣林捕食性节肢动物群落主要类群的平均密度、多样性和均匀度有明显差异(P<0.05),表现为间作百脉根枣林>紫花苜蓿枣林>扁茎黄芪枣林>白三叶枣林,优势集中性指数为间作白三叶枣林>扁茎黄芪枣林>紫花苜蓿枣林>百脉根枣林.各处理枣林中捕食性蜘蛛类的平均密度明显(P<0.05)高于捕食性昆虫类.瓢甲类、蝽类、蛇蛉类、草蛉类、蟹蛛类、圆蛛类和植绥螨类的个体数量在间种牧草枣林捕食性节肢动物群落中起主导作用.  相似文献

Condensed tannins in forage legumes improve the nutrition of sheep by reducing ruminal degradation of plant protein and increasing crude protein flow to the intestine. However, the effects of condensed tannins in forage legumes on rumen bacterial populations in vivo are poorly understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the specific effects of condensed tannins from Lotus corniculatus on four proteolytic rumen bacteria in sheep during and after transition from a ryegrass (Lolium perenne)-white clover (Trifolium repens) diet (i.e., low condensed tannins) to a Lotus corniculatus diet (i.e., higher condensed tannins). The bacterial populations were quantified using a competitive polymerase chain reaction. Lotus corniculatus was fed with or without ruminal infusions of polyethylene glycol (PEG), which binds to and inactivates condensed tannins, enabling the effect of condensed tannins on bacterial populations to be examined. When sheep fed on ryegrass-white clover, populations of Clostridium proteoclasticum B316T, Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens C211a, Eubacterium sp. C12b, and Streptococcus bovis B315 were 1.5 x 10(8), 1.1 x 10(6), 4.6 x 10(8), and 7.1 x 10(6) mL(-1), respectively. When the diet was changed to Lotus corniculatus, the average populations (after 8-120 h) of C. proteoclasticum, B. fibrisolvens, Eubacterium sp., and S. bovis decreased (P < 0.001) to 2.4 x 10(7), 1.1 x 10(5), 1.1 x 10(8), and 2.5 x 10(5) mL(-1), respectively. When PEG was infused into the rumen of sheep fed Lotus corniculatus, the populations of C. proteoclasticum, B. fibrisolvens, Eubacterium sp., and S. bovis were higher (P < 0.01-0.001) than in sheep fed Lotus corniculatus without the PEG infusion, with average populations (after 8-120 h) of 4.9 x 10(7), 3.8 x 10(5), 1.9 x 10(8), and 1.0 x 10(6), respectively. Sheep fed the Lotus corniculatus diet had lower rumen proteinase activity, ammonia, and soluble nitrogen (P < 0.05-0.001) than sheep that were fed Lotus corniculatus plus PEG. The Lotus corniculatus diet reduced rumen nitrogen digestibility (P < 0.05) and ammonia pool size and increased the flow of undegraded feed nitrogen to the abomasum. The nitrogen intake, rumen non-ammonia nitrogen pool size, rumen microbial non-ammonia nitrogen pool size, and abomasal microbial non-ammonia nitrogen fluxes were similar both in sheep fed only Lotus corniculatus and in sheep fed Lotus corniculatus plus PEG, but nonmicrobial non-ammonia nitrogen flux to the abomasum was higher (P < 0.01) for the sheep fed only Lotus corniculatus. Although condensed tannins in Lotus corniculatus reduced the populations of some proteolytic bacteria, total ruminal microbial protein and microbial protein outflow to the abomasum were unchanged, suggesting a species-specific effect of condensed tannins on bacteria in the rumen.  相似文献

Various stresses trigger rapid and reversible decreases in the O2 permeability (PO) of legume root nodules. Several possible mechanisms have been proposed, but no supporting data have previously been presented that meet the requirements for both rapidity and reversibility. Stomatal regulation of gas permeability in leaves involves electrically driven fluxes of inorganic osmoticants, so we investigated the possibility of a somewhat similar mechanism in nodules. We used microelectrodes to monitor membrane potential in intact, attached nodules of Glycine max, Medicago sativa, Lotus corniculatus, and Trifolium repens while controlling external O2 concentration and, in the case of G. max, measuring PO with a nodule oximeter. A 1- to 2-min exposure to 100 kPa O2 was found to induce rapid and reversible membrane depolarizations in nodules of each species. This depolarization (which, to our knowledge, is unique to nodules) is accompanied by reversible decreases in PO in G. max nodules. An osmoelectrical mechanism for control of nodule gas permeability, consistent with these data, is presented.  相似文献

When nitrogen fixing root nodules are formed, Sarothamnus scoparius (broom) is inoculated with its microsymbionts. Nodules studied under light and electron microscopy exhibited typical indeterminate nodule histology with apical, persistent meristem, age gradient of nodule tissues, and open vascular bundles, and also with some particular features such as: the presence of mitotic activity in the infected meristematic cells, lack of infection threads, distribution of bacteria by process of host cell division, and occurrence of a large bacteroid zone only with infected cells. The results of cross-inoculation tests have shown a broad host range for S. scoparius microsymbionts including not only the native host but also species such as: Lupinus luteus, Ornithopus sativa, Lotus corniculatus, Genista tinctoria, Chamaecitisus ratisbonensis, Macroptilium atropurpureum, and Phaseolus vulgaris. In addition, our data established a close symbiotic relationship of S. scoparius nodulators to Bradyrhizobium sp. (Lupinus) by comparison of the partial sequence of nodC gene of the strain CYT7, specific for the broom, to those from Bradyrhizobium sp. (Lupinus) strain D1 and others available in the public databases.  相似文献

Abstract:  In order to establish the host range of the pea aphid subspecies, Acyrthosiphon pisum ssp. destructor , and hence from which plant species pea crops are likely to become infested, the performance of this aphid on different leguminous plants was assessed. The plant species used were: Lotus uliginosus , Medicago sativa , Melilotus officinalis , Ononis repens , Sarothamnus scoparius , Trifolium hybridum , Trifolium pratense , Trifolium repens , Vicia cracca and Vicia faba . Vicia faba and Trifolium hybridum were the plants on which aphids reached the greatest size, took the least time to reach maturity, and experienced the lowest mortality. The time taken for the aphids to develop to maturity was negatively correlated with adult size, whereas survival to maturity was positively correlated with adult size. The host preference of the aphids was also assessed. The plant species selected as hosts by alatae were those on which their offspring performed best.  相似文献

The influence of natural plant odours on the locomotory behaviour of 3rd‐instar larvae of Costelytra zealandica (White) was studied by observing their movement in glass‐sided test chambers. Through an analysis of the paths followed by individual larvae in single‐option choice‐chamber tests it was possible to evaluate the responses of the larvae to different plant materials. The odour of fresh young perennial ryegrass (Loliumperenne) root was more attractive to the insects than was that of older plants. Larvae were also more strongly attracted to the root of lucerne (Medicago sativa), Lotus pedunculatus, red clover (Trifolium pratense), and white clover (T. repens) than to that of perennial ryegrass. The possible role of volatile chemical factors in plant resistance to grass grub attack is discussed.  相似文献

The nodulin N23 gene promoter was analysed in transgenic plants using the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) coding sequence as a reporter. A 5' flanking region of less than 1 kb was sufficient for the organ-specific expression of a chimeric N23-CAT-3'lbc3 gene in root nodules formed on Lotus corniculatus and Trifolium repens after infection by their respective Rhizobium symbionts. Expression was regulated at the level of RNA in both species of transgenic plants. Promoter deletion analysis defined the 5' region required for high level expression and delimited two putative regulatory sequences involved in positive control of the N23 gene in L. corniculatus.  相似文献

Pollen allelopathy occurs when pollen toxins inhibit sexual reproduction in heterospecifics. To quantify pollen allelopathic effects in vitro, pollen of Hieracium aurantiacum, H. floribundum, and H. pratense was extracted with double distilled water into concentrations of 0 (control), 0.1, 1, 3, 5, 10, and 25 pollen grains/μl. A subset of these extracts was partitioned by ion-exchange chromatography into acidic, basic, and neutral fractions. Pollen from six sympatric species of Fabaceae (Lotus corniculatus, Medicago sativa, Trifolium hybridum, T. pratense, T. repens, Vicia cracca) and the species of Hieracium was germinated on agar media containing different extract concentrations. As extract concentrations from intact pollen or from acidic fractions increased, mean percent germination of pollen of all Fabaceae decreased nonlinearly. Extract concentrations of 0.1 grains/μl and above inhibited pollen germination in the Fabaceae. In no case was any Hieracium species affected, i.e., there was no autotoxicity. Similar results were obtained using plants from nine populations of H. floribundum and H. pratense across eastern Canada. Observation of floral visitors indicated that there were relatively few movements between Hieracium and the Fabaceae (about 15% of total visits). Hence there is limited opportunity for heterospecific pollen transfer. This was consistent with censuses of stigma, i.e., few pollen grains of Hieracium were found on stigma of the Fabaceae. Thus, pollen allelopathy in Hieracium is unlikely to affect reproductive success in these six species of Fabaceae.  相似文献

在琅琊山风景区通过实地实验,分析了游憩活动对琅琊山风景区两种草地植物紫花苜蓿(Medicago sativa L.)和白三叶(Trifolium repens L.)种子发芽率的影响.结果表明:(1)游憩活动强度与两种植物种子发芽率呈负线性相关.近游道、中距离游道和远距离游道的3个实验组,紫花苜蓿种子平均发芽率依次为31.29%、39.41%、55.21%;白三叶依次为8.42%、14.62%、23.89%.距游道越远的实验组种子的发芽率越高,距游道最远的实验组和最近的实验组的种子发芽率差异显著.(2)柏油、水泥、台阶和泥质4种游道实验区的种子平均发芽率,紫花苜蓿依次为37.20%、40.27%、41.28%、48.13%;白三叶依次为10.37%、10.92%、14.23%、27.05%.旅游和游憩活动量较少的游道实验区种子的发芽率高于游憩活动量较大的游道实验区.此外,相同游道、相同实验位置的两种植物种子发芽率亦存在显著差异,表明不同植物种子萌发受到旅游活动的干扰存在差异.  相似文献

通过对白车轴草(Trifolium repens Linn.)和紫花苜蓿(Medicago sativa Linn.)根瘤的显微及超微结构进行观察,发现其根瘤显微结构都由4部分组成,由外向内依次为:保护层、皮层、鞘细胞层和中心组织(侵染组织)。在中心组织的侵染细胞中,分布有大量的线粒体、高尔基体、核糖体及内质网,白车轴草根瘤侵染细胞中的细菌圆形或椭圆形,有明显的周膜、细菌细胞壁和质膜,在细菌发育过程中,周膜活动旺盛,有时相邻细菌的周膜发生融合,在周膜附近常分布有大量的内质网、高尔基体以及高尔基体小泡,似与周膜融合有关。紫花苜蓿细菌椭圆形、长棒形,甚至有的细菌呈分枝状。二者细菌细胞质中分布着大量的核糖体和纤维状的核物质。在白车轴草中还有染色很深的多聚磷酸盐颗粒。  相似文献

The relationship between environment and abundance of rhizobia was described by determining the populations of root nodule bacteria at 14 diverse sites on the island of Maui. Mean annual rainfall at the sites ranged from 320 to 1,875 mm, elevation from 37 to 1,650 m, and soil pH from 4.6 to 7.9. Four different soil orders were represented in this study: inceptisols, mollisols, ultisols, and an oxisol. The rhizobial populations were determined by plant infection counts of five legumes (Trifolium repens, Medicago sativa, Vicia sativa, Leucaena leucocephala, and Macroptilium atropurpureum). Populations varied from 1.1 to 4.8 log10 cells per g of soil. The most frequently occurring rhizobia were Bradyrhizobium spp., which were present at 13 of 14 sites with a maximum of 4.8 log10 cells per g of soil. Rhizobium trifolii and R. leguminosarum occurred only at higher elevations. The presence of a particular Rhizobium or Bradyrhizobium sp. was correlated with the occurrence of its appropriate host legume. Total rhizobial populations were significantly correlated with mean annual rainfall, legume cover and shoot biomass, soil temperature, soil pH, and phosphorus retention. Regression models are presented which describe the relationship of legume hosts, soil climate, and soil fertility on native rhizobial populations.  相似文献

Atrazine, a herbicide widely used in corn production, is a frequently detected groundwater contaminant. Fourteen bacterial strains able to use this herbicide as a sole source of nitrogen were isolated from soils obtained from two farms in Canada and two farms in France. These strains were indistinguishable from each other based on repetitive extragenic palindromic PCR genomic fingerprinting performed with primers ERIC1R, ERIC2, and BOXA1R. Based on 16S rRNA sequence analysis of one representative isolate, strain C147, the isolates belong to the genus Pseudaminobacter in the family Rhizobiaceae. Strain C147 did not form nodules on the legumes alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.), birdsfoot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus L.), red clover (Trifolium pratense L.), chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), and soybean (Glycine max L.). A number of chloro-substituted s-triazine herbicides were degraded, but methylthio-substituted s-triazine herbicides were not degraded. Based on metabolite identification data, the fact that oxygen was not required, and hybridization of genomic DNA to the atzABC genes, atrazine degradation occurred via a series of hydrolytic reactions initiated by dechlorination and followed by dealkylation. Most strains could mineralize [ring-U-(14)C]atrazine, and those that could not mineralize atrazine lacked atzB or atzBC. The atzABC genes, which were plasmid borne in every atrazine-degrading isolate examined, were unstable and were not always clustered together on the same plasmid. Loss of atzB was accompanied by loss of a copy of IS1071. Our results indicate that an atrazine-degrading Pseudaminobacter sp. with remarkably little diversity is widely distributed in agricultural soils and that genes of the atrazine degradation pathway carried by independent isolates of this organism are not clustered, can be independently lost, and may be associated with a catabolic transposon. We propose that the widespread distribution of the atrazine-degrading Pseudaminobacter sp. in agricultural soils exposed to atrazine is due to the characteristic ability of this organism to utilize alkylamines, and therefore atrazine, as sole sources of carbon when the atzABC genes are acquired.  相似文献

We used six rhizobium-legume systems to test the reliability of the most-probable-number (MPN) technique for enumerating rhizobia introduced into 14 sites representing four soil orders. The range-of-transition values (the number of dilution steps between the first not-entirely-positive and the last not-entirely-negative growth units) were compared for each species and for each soil. The probability that the observed data were significantly different from theoretical values varied with the species. The acceptability of MPN codes (P > 0.99) was the highest (97 to 99%) with Vicia sativa, Trifolium repens, and Glycine max and lowest (72%) with Leucaena leucocephala. Medicago sativa and Macroptilium atropurpureum yielded 87 and 75% acceptable MPN codes, respectively. The acceptability of the MPN data obtained for a host species was related to rooting habit and time to nodulation. Comparison of data for each soil indicated that, despite large differences in characteristics, the soil was not a major source of variability in the MPN counts. There was no significant interaction of the range of transition of rhizobium-legume plant infection count data between species and site.  相似文献

Possible control options are investigated for the introduced Hieracium weeds, particular problems in South Island high country, New Zealand. In a pot experiment regression of input to output ratios of above ground biomass over successive harvests, from binary mixtures was used to determine the competitive interaction between 13 pasture species and two Hieracium species, H. pilosella and H. praealtum, in a low fertility soil. Treatments also included a factorial of presence or absence of compartments separating root and shoots of species. Species differed in their mean growth rate, relative to Hieracium species. The ranking of mean growth rate relative to H. pilosella was Trifolium repens (best), Bromus inermis, Sanguisorba minor, Festuca novaezelandiae, F. rubra, Arrhenatherum elatius, Anthoxanthum odoratum, Lotus corniculatus, Hypochoeris radicata, Trifolium repens, T. hybridum, T. medium and Astragalus cicer. Shoot partitions decreased Hieracium's interaction with white clover while root partitions increased interaction with B. inermis. However, the rates were not related to the proportion of Hieracium in the mixtures, indicating a general lack of specific competitive effects against Hieracium.  相似文献

Background and aims

This work aimed to quantify the critical external requirement for phosphorus (P) (i.e. extractable-P concentration required for 90 % of maximum yield) for a number of temperate legume species and understand differences in dry matter allocation, P distribution and P acquisition efficiency among these species.

Methods

Shoot and root growth of five legume and one grass species was assessed in response to six rates of P mixed into the top 45 mm of soil in a pot experiment. Dactylis glomerata and Trifolium subterraneum were used as benchmark species; they are commonly grown together in mixed temperate pastures and have low and high critical external requirements for P, respectively. Growth was compared with four alternative legume species: Ornithopus compressus, Ornithopus sativus, Biserrula pelecinus and Trifolium hirtum, that have root morphologies better suited to soil exploration and nutrient acquisition than that of Trifolium subterraneum.

Results

Dactylis glomerata, Ornithopus compressus and Ornithopus sativus had maximum yields equal to or greater than Trifolium subterraneum but achieved this at rates of P less than half that of Trifolium subterraneum. Biserrula pelecinus and Trifolium hirtum had critical P requirements between that of Trifolium subterraneum and the Ornithopus species, but also had lower yields. Root dry matter of Dactylis glomerata and the Ornithopus species in the fertilised soil layer was only marginally changed in response to low P supply. In contrast, Trifolium subterraneum, Trifolium hirtum and to a lesser extent Biserrula pelecinus markedly increased root dry matter allocation to this soil layer. Species with lower critical P requirements were able to take up more P per unit root dry mass than those with higher critical P requirements, particularly at lower levels of P addition.

Conclusions

The high P acquisition efficiencies of the Ornithopus species and Dactylis glomerata were likely to have contributed to their low critical external P requirements. It was surmised that differences in root morphology traits underpin the differences in acclimation to low P stress and P acquisition efficiency among the species.

Tracer studies with labelled inositols demonstrate that in contrast to earlier reports the formation of d-pinitol in Medicago sativa, Ononis spinosa and Trifolium incarnatum does not proceed by epimerization of sequoyitol but via d-ononitol. Hence, the novel pathway detected in Simmondsia chinensis occurs also in the Leguminous family and thus represents a major biosynthetic pathway for d-pinitol.  相似文献

Lotus lancerottensis is an endemic species that grows widely throughout Lanzarote Island (Canary Is.). Characterization of 48 strains isolated from root nodules of plants growing in soils from eleven locations on the island showed that 38 isolates (79.1%) belonged to the species Sinorhizobium meliloti, whereas only six belonged to Mesorhizobium sp., the more common microsymbionts for the Lotus. Other genotypes containing only one isolate were classified as Pararhizobium sp., Sinorhizobium sp., Phyllobacterium sp. and Bradyrhizobium-like. Strains of S. meliloti were distributed along the island and, in most of the localities they were exclusive or major microsymbionts of L. lancerottensis. Phylogeny of the nodulation nodC gene placed the S. meliloti strains within symbiovar lancerottense and the mesorhizobial strains with the symbiovar loti. Although strains from both symbiovars produced effective N2-fixing nodules, S. meliloti symbiovar lancerottense was clearly the predominant microsymbiont of L. lancerottensis. This fact correlated with the better adaptation of strains of this species to the alkaline soils of Lanzarote, as in vitro characterization showed that while the mesorhizobial strains were inhibited by alkaline pH, S. meliloti strains grew well at pH 9.  相似文献

Summary Nodes ofMedicago sativa, Lotus corniculatus, Lotus tenuis, andLotus pedunculatus were cultured on MS basal media with different growth regulators. InM. sativa each node produced one shoot and the apical dominance was unaffected by high levels of cytokinins, and subsequent cycles of culture. Shoot development was stimulated by the presence ofN 6-isopentenyl-adenine in the culture medium and was dependent on the genotype of the explant. Shoot development was not affected by the original position of the node on the plant nor by the plant age. Shoots rooted in MS medium gelled with starch and containing 2 mg·liter−1 indol-3-acetic acid. In the threeLotus species, node culture was a more effective technique than inM. sativa. The number of shoots per node increased with the time of culture and with the presence of 0.05 mg·liter−1 of 6-benzylaminopurine. The highest number of shoots derived from one node was achieved inL. pedunculatus and inL. tenuis by culturing single nodes, whereas inL. corniculatus stem segments had to be totally covered by the medium for success. Rooting was easily achieved in MS medium with or without auxins.  相似文献

The hypothesis of the possible therapeutic potential of selected species of forage crops is discussed. Extracts from genotypes of Anthyllis sp., Astragalus sp., Coronilla sp., Lotus sp., Medicago sp., Melilotus sp., Onobrychis sp. and Trifolium sp. were prepared and tested for proteinase inhibition and antioxidant activities. We found that Trifolium pratense accession POLKIE99-3 expressed the highest relative trypsin inhibition activity (80.0%) compared to standards. The highest thrombin inhibition activity (81.4%) was detected in the Medicago sativa old cultivar Hodoninka, whereas the highest relative urokinase inhibition activity (62.5%) was expressed by the local population Nitranka. Relatively high antioxidant properties of Trifolium sp. accessions, Trifolium pratense genetic resources SVKZAH98-40, were of interest. Results of this study confirmed that there are significant differences in proteinase inhibition and antioxidant activity among important selected agricultural crops. The present paper may also be the starting point of the research aimed for development of new functional food and nutraceuticals, and/or of the research focused on new secondary metabolites with potential as bioactive compounds.  相似文献
