The genus Meiothrips Priesner (Thysanoptera, Phlaeothripidae, Idolothripinae) with a key and a new species from China

The genus Meiothrips Priesneris reviewed, with Meiothrips fuscicrussp. n., and Meiothrips nepalensis Kudo & Ananthakrishnan recorded and described from China, and a key provided to the five known species. COI sequences of the new species and Meiothrips nepalensis are also provided.     

Review of the spore-feeding Idolothripinae from China (Thysanoptera,Phlaeothripidae)

An illustrated key is provided to the 19 genera of the subfamily Idolothripinae from China, and a checklist given to 62 named species, of which six species are newly recorded from China, together with the genus Bolothrips that is represented by two un-named species. A generic diagnosis is given for each genus, along with some discussion of systematic relationship problems and species diversity. Identification keys to species of 11 genera are provided, and Megathrips antennatus Guo, Feng & Duan is considered as a new synonymof Megathrips lativentris (Heeger).

记述缨翅目Thysanoptera管蓟马科Phlaeothripidae棘腿管蓟马属Androthrips 1新种：贵阳棘腿管蓟马Androthrips guiyangensis,sp.nov.。模式标本保存于内蒙古包头市园林科技研究所。     

中国简管蓟马族昆虫物种多样性及区系初步分析(缨翅目:管蓟马科)

通过对中国简管蓟马族Haplothripini物种的模式标本和定名标本及地理分布文献资料的整理,分析了该族13属53种在中国的物种组成及区系分布特点。结果发现,简管蓟马属物种丰富度最高;中国简管蓟马族在东洋界和古北界均有分布,无特有属,特有种比例低,具有广布种;该族物种在中国动物地理区划中有22个分布型,以华南区为主。最后,初步分析和讨论了该族昆虫的区系特点。     

Key to the fungus-feeder Phlaeothripinae species from China(Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae)

In China, 31 genera and 95 species of fungivorous Phlaeothripinae are recorded here, of which 7 species are newly recorded and illustrated. An illustrated identification key to the 94 species is also provided, together with the information of specimens examined, and distribution of each species.

Two new species of the Hagnagora anicata complex (Geometridae, Larentiinae) from Costa Rica

Examination of the lectotype (here designated) reveals that Hagnagora anicata (Felder & Rogenhofer) does not occur in Costa Rica. Instead two new species are described, Hagnagora eliannesp. n. and Hagnagora unniasp. n., and their distribution is discussed. The previous treatment of Hagnagora anicata as a single widespread species ranging from Jamaica and Mexico to Bolivia needs to be critically evaluated.     

First record of lily thrips, Liothrips vaneeckei Priesner, in Australia (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae)

The first Australian record of the lily thrips, Liothrips vaneeckei Priesner, is reported from a bulb farm in Warragul South, Victoria. It is an occasional pest of Lilium bulbs, both in the field and in storage, particularly in the USA and several European countries, and is also infrequently found in considerable numbers on the corms of orchids.     

A New Species of Chelipoda Macquart,with a Key to the Species from China (Diptera: Empididae)

Chelipoda nigraristata sp. n., a new aquatic dance fly of the subfamily Hemerodromiinae (Diptera, Empididae) is described from China. Relationships with other described species are discussed. A key to the species of the genus Chelipoda from China is presented for the first time.     

A New Species of Dolichocephala,with a Key to the Species from China (Insecta: Diptera,Empididae)

Dolichocephala guangdongensis sp. n., a new aquatic dance fly (Diptera, Empididae), is described from Guangdong province in China. The relationships with its sister species are discussed. A key to the species of the genus Dolichocephala from China is presented.     

New species of Oukuriella (Diptera: Chironomidae) from Costa Rica

The males of three new species of Oukuriella Epler are described from Costa Rica. The genus had been previously recorded only from South America. Oukuriella annamae sp. nov. has genitalia similar to O. albistyla Epler, but differs in having transverse bands on abdominal segments In, IV, VI and VII, a lower AR, no humeral setae and fewer dorsocentral setae. Oukuriella costaricense sp. nov. differs from other described species in the genus by its brown abdomen, unnotched posterior margin of tergite IX and distinctive superior volsella, with its sharply bent, thin upper arm directed medially, and digitus small and directed caudad. Oukuriella rushi sp. nov. has apices of femora tipped with brown, a brown abdomen and distinctive superior volsella, with upper arm shorter and broader, and digitus longer then O. costaricense. The female of Oukuriella costaricense is also described. This is the first female described for the genus. Based on male and female genitalia, Oukuriella is closely related to Epedilum Townes and Zavreliella Kieffer. A key is provided to separate the males of the six described species.

Two New Species of Tupiperla (Plecoptera: Gripopterygidae) from the Missions Area of Argentina and Paraguay

Tupiperla flinti sp. n. from Misiones in Argentina and from southern Paraguay, and T. misionera sp. n. from Misiones are described.

New Neotropical Species of the Genus Frankliniella Karny (Insecta: Thysanoptera: Thripidae)

Four new species of the genus Frankliniella Karny are described, two from Chile, F. rahakana sp. n. and F. otites sp. n.; one from Costa Rica, F. senckenbergiana sp. n. and one from Argentina, F. amigoi sp. n. F. rahakana sp. n. belongs to the ‘intonsa group’ and the other three to the ‘minuta group’ of Frankliniella.
