In the estimation of the developmental regularity among children it is important to know the relation between the developmental and the calendar age. It is particularly important in the estimation of the level of development among children with an increased level of guided motor activity. It takes place, for instance, in the case of children practising swimming. In auxology there are many morphological, physiological and motor features which are regarded as the measure of the developmental age. For several years researches have been conducted on the EMN index as the determinant of the biological age. The EMN index shows continuous changes during ontogeny, proves the existence of stages in the developmental age and is also considerably correlated with the calendar age. This is an ecosensitive factor. The EMN index differentiates individuals from another as well as groups isolated with regard to the effect of the environmental factors, for instance, the different levels of motor activity. The aim of this investigation is to estimate the standard of biological maturity (the body height and mass, the EMN index) among children, who went through a guided swimming training. Morphological features are most often used as the measures of development. However, they can become unreliable when they themselves establish the criterion of selection to a sports discipline or when some ranges of values are optimal on some given standards. The EMN index is not burdened with these features. The children who go through training show the higher level of the EMN index values than the children who do not go. The effect of this is the fact that young swimmers are biologically older than their peers. However, the shape of the curve of development of the EMN index in swimmers goes at a different level depending on the seniority of training.  相似文献

Oxygen consumption and metabolic strain in rowing ergometer exercise   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Oxygen consumption (VO2) when rowing was determined on a mechanically braked rowing ergometer (RE) with an electronic measuring device. VO2 was measured by an open spirometric system. The pneumotachograph valve was fixed to the sliding seat, thus reducing movement artefacts. A multi-stage test was performed, beginning with a work load of 150 W and increasing by 50 W every 2 minutes up to exhaustion. Serum lactate concentrations were determined in a 30 s break between the work stages. 61 examinations of oarsmen performing at maximum power of 5 W X kg-1 or more were analysed VO2 and heart rate (HR) for each working stage were measured and the regression line of VO2 on the work load (P) and an estimation error (Sxy) were calculated: VO2 = 12.5 X P + 415.2 (ml X min-1) (Sxy = +/- 337 ml, r = 0.98) Good reproducibility was found in repeated examinations. Similar spiroergometry was carried out on a bicycle ergometer (BE) with 10 well trained rowers and 6 trained cyclists. VO2 of rowing was about 600 ml X min-1 higher than for bicycling in the submaximal stages for both groups. The VO2max of RE exercise was 2.6% higher than for oarsmen on BE, and the cyclists reached a greater VO2 on BE than the oarsmen. No differences were found between RE and BE exercise heart rate. The net work efficiency when rowing was 19% for both groups, experienced and inexperienced: when cycling it was 25% for cyclists and 23% for oarsmen.  相似文献

Infection perorally with enteropathogenic E. coli (ST +LT) bacteria in 57 newborn piglets gave rise to watery diarrhoea in 50 (88%) piglets and was lethal in 17 (34 %) cases. The diarrhoea was associated with a progressing partially compensated metabolic acidosis indicated by significantly decreased pH, pCO2 and RE values. The acidosis (BE-values) was significantly correlated with increased blood LA and serum K+ values. The dehydration during the disease was confirmed by increased Hb, Hct, serum protein and urea values as well as loss of weight. The changes were most pronounced in piglets that died and a BE value of —10 mmol/1 seemed to be a critical limit at which the prognosis could be considered poor. The changes in acid-base status and water balance was confirmed in 64 piglets with spontaneous cases of E. coli diarrhoea.  相似文献

The present study evaluated the acid-base status of anemic rats by using two approaches of acid-base analysis: one based on the base excess (BE) calculation and the other based on Stewart's physicochemical analysis. Two sets of experimental data, derived from two different methods of inducing anemia, were used: repetitive doses of phenylhydrazine (PHZ) and bleeding (BL). A significant uncompensated respiratory alkalosis was found in both groups of anemic rats. BE increased slightly, whereas strong ion difference ([SID]) and weak acid buffers ([A(TOT)]) remained unchanged in anemic rats. The reasons for the absence of compensation for hypocapnia and the differences in the behaviour of acid-base variables are discussed. BE increase was considered paradoxical; its calculation was affected by the experimental conditions and BE had little physiological relevance during anemia. The absence of metabolic renal compensation in anemic rats could be due to a lower pH in the kidney due to anemic hypoxia. Finally, the changes in buffer strength related to low Hb and low P(CO2) might influence plasma [SID] through counteracted shifts of strong ions between erythrocytes and plasma, finally resulting in unchanged [SID] during anemia.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine whether elite international junior rowers in 2007 were heavier and taller than those evaluated in 1997, and to compare this change among finalists and non-finalists, and sweep rowers and scullers. Body weight and height data obtained by a questionnaire from a total of 398 rowers (42% female, 58% male) at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Beijing, People's Republic of China, in 2007 (65.9% of all competitors), were compared with data from 603 rowers measured at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Hazewinkel, Belgium in 1997 (36.5% female, 63.5% male, representing 90% and 89% of all competitors, respectively, by gender). Male and female rowers in 2007 were significantly taller compared to those in 1997 (1.0 cm, p = 0.009 and 2.1 cm, p < 0.001, respectively; one-sample t-test). No statistically significant difference was found for body mass. The finalists and sweep rowers were taller and heavier compared to nonfinalists and scullers at both Championships respectively. The heights of elite level junior rowers increased significantly over the decade. The finalists at World Junior Rowing Championships were again taller and heavier compared to the nonfinalists.  相似文献

Stiff left atrial (LA) syndrome was initially reported in post-cardiac surgery patients and known to be associated with low LA compliance. We investigated the physiological and clinical implications of LA compliance by estimating LA pulse pressure (LApp) among patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and structurally and functionally normal heart. Among 1038 consecutive patients with LA pressure measurements before AF ablation, we included 334 patients with structurally and functionally normal heart (81.7% male, 54.1±10.6 years, 77.0% paroxysmal AF) after excluding those with hypertension, diabetes, and previous ablation or cardiac surgery. We measured LApp (peak-nadir LA pressure) at the beginning of the ablation procedure and compared the values with clinical parameters and the AF recurrence rate.AF patients with normal heart were younger and more frequently male and had paroxysmal AF, a lower body mass index, and a lower LApp compared to others (all p<0.05).Based on the median value, the low LA compliance group (LApp≥13mmHg) had a smaller LA volume index and lower LA voltage (all p<0.05) compared to the high LA compliance group. During a mean follow-up of 16.7±11.8 months, low LA compliance was independently associated with two fold-higher risk of clinical AF recurrence (HR:2.202; 95%CI:1.077–4.503; p = 0.031).Low LA compliance, as determined by an elevated LApp, was associated with a smaller LA volume index and lower LA voltage and independently associated with higher clinical recurrence after catheter ablation in AF patients with structurally and functionally normal heart.  相似文献

In this study, we aimed to investigate the adaptation of blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), and locomotor activity (LA) circadian rhythms to light cycle shift in transgenic rats with a deficit in brain angiotensin [TGR(ASrAOGEN)]. BP, HR, and LA were measured by telemetry. After baseline recordings (bLD), the light cycle was inverted by prolonging the light by 12 h and thereafter the dark period by 12 h, resulting in inverted dark-light (DL) or light-dark (LD) cycles. Toward that end, a 24-h dark was maintained for 14 days (free-running conditions). When light cycle was changed from bLD to DL, the acrophases (peak time of curve fitting) of BP, HR, and LA shifted to the new dark period in both SD and TGR(ASrAOGEN) rats. However, the readjustment of the BP and HR acrophases in TGR(ASrAOGEN) rats occurred significantly slower than SD rats. The LA acrophases changed similarly in both strains. When light cycle was changed from DL to LD by prolonging the dark period by 12 h, the reentrainment of BP and LA occurred faster than the previous shift in both strains. The readjustment of the BP and HR acrophases in TGR(ASrAOGEN) rats occurred significantly slower than SD rats. In free-running conditions, the circadian rhythms of the investigated parameters adapted in TGR(ASrAOGEN) and SD rats in a similar manner. These results demonstrate that the brain RAS plays an important role in mediating the effects of light cycle shifts on the circadian variation of BP and HR. The adaptive behavior of cardiovascular circadian rhythms depends on the initial direction of light-dark changes.  相似文献

Regular endurance exercise increases central arterial compliance, whereas resistance training decreases it. It is not known how the vasculature adapts to a combination of endurance and resistance training. Rowing is unique, because its training encompasses endurance- and strength-training components. We used a cross-sectional study design to determine arterial compliance of 15 healthy, habitual rowers [50 +/- 9 (SD) yr, 11 men and 4 women] and 15 sedentary controls (52 +/- 8 yr, 10 men and 5 women). Rowers had been training 5.4 +/- 1.2 days/wk for 5.7 +/- 4.0 yr. The two groups were matched for age, body composition, blood pressure, and metabolic risk factors. Central arterial compliance (simultaneous ultrasound and applanation tonometry on the common carotid artery) was higher (P < 0.001) and carotid beta-stiffness index was lower (P < 0.001) in rowers than in sedentary controls. There were no group differences for measures of peripheral (femoral) arterial stiffness. The higher central arterial compliance in rowers was associated with a greater cardiovagal baroreflex sensitivity, as estimated during a Valsalva maneuver (r = 0.54, P < 0.005). In conclusion, regular rowing exercise in middle-aged and older adults is associated with a favorable effect on the elastic properties of the central arteries. Our results suggest that simultaneously performed endurance training may negate the stiffening effects of strength training.  相似文献

Five healthy male subjects exercised for 3 min at a workload equivalent to 100% VO2max on two separate occasions. Each exercise test was performed on an electrically braked cycle ergometer after a four-day period of dietary manipulation. During each of these periods subjects consumed either a low carbohydrate (3 +/- 0%, mean +/- SD), high fat (73 +/- 2%), high protein (24 +/- 3%) diet (FP) or a high carbohydrate (82 +/- 1%), low fat (8 +/- 1%) low protein (10 +/- 1%) diet (CHO). The diets were isoenergetic and were assigned in a randomised manner. Muscle biopsy samples (Vastus lateralis) were taken at rest prior to dietary manipulation, immediately prior to exercise and immediately post-exercise for measurement of pH, glycogen, glucose 6-phosphate, fructose 1,6-diphosphate, triose phosphates, lactate and glutamine content. Blood acid-base status and selected metabolites were measured in arterialised venous samples at rest prior to dietary manipulation, immediately prior to exercise and at pre-determined intervals during the post-exercise period. There was no differences between the two treatments in blood acid-base status at rest prior to dietary manipulation; immediately prior to exercise plasma pH (p less than 0.01), blood PCO2 (p less than 0.01), plasma bicarbonate (p less than 0.001) and blood base-excess (p less than 0.001) values were all lower on the FP treatment. Short duration repeated maximal efforts are often used in swimming training to improve lactate tolerance, which gives swimmers the ability to maintain a high work rate for a longer period of time. The aim of the study was to examine the kinematics of swimming and its relation to the changes in blood acid-base status and potassium level. Seven collegiate swimmers, with at least 6 years of training experience, volunteered to participate in the study. The test consisted of 8 x 25 m front crawl performed with maximum effort. The rest period between repetitions was set to five seconds. Blood samples were taken from the fingertip at rest, after warm-up and in the 3rd minute after completion of the test. The swimming was recorded with a video recorder, for later analysis of time, velocity and technique (stroke index). Based on the swimming velocity results, the obtained curve can be divided into rapid decrease of velocity and relatively stable velocities. The breaking point of repetition in swimming velocity was assumed as the swimming velocity threshold and it was highly correlated with the decrease of the blood acid-base status (pH r=0.82, BE r=0.87, HCO3 - r=0.76; p<0.05 in all cases). There was no correlation between stroke index or fatigue index and blood acid-base status. Analysis of the swimming speed in the 8 x 25 m test seems to be helpful in evaluation of lactate tolerance (anaerobic capacity) in collegiate swimmers.  相似文献

BackgroundAlthough much studied in multiple myeloma, bone events (BE) can also cause important morbidity in bone plasmacytoma patients. To our knowledge, the effect of BE on overall survival (OS) and progression to multiple myeloma free-survival (MPFS) also has never been studied.Patients and MethodsFifty-nine patients treated from 2008 to 2017 were retrospectively assessed. All patients had histological proof of disease and were treated with radical radiotherapy (RT). Available clinical information for at least 6 months follow-up or until death had to be available. BE were described as one of the following events in the index bone: fractures, osteomyelitis, chronic pain, surgery or loss of limb function after RT.ResultsMean age at diagnosis was 57.3 years (18–80); most male (67.8%). Mean OS, bone event free-survival (BEFS), local progression-free survival (LPFS) and MPFS were 41, 36, 37 and 19 months, respectively. There were 15 deaths. BEFS (p = 0.008) and age>55y (p = 0.044) were associated with MPFS. Only BEFS correlated with OS (p = 0.029). BE was independently associated with both MPFS and OS in multivariate analysis.ConclusionBE and survival end-points were correlated. BE should be investigated in prospective trials.  相似文献

A novel framework of circulatory equilibrium was developed by extending Guyton's original concept. In this framework, venous return (CO(V)) for a given stressed volume (V) was characterized by a flat surface as a function of right atrial pressure (P(RA)) and left atrial pressure (P(LA)) as follows: CO(V) = V/W - G(S)P(RA) - G(P)P(LA), where W, G(S), and G(P) denote linear parameters. In seven dogs under total heart bypass, CO(V), P(RA), P(LA), and V were varied to determine the three parameters in each animal with use of multivariate analysis. The coefficient of determination (r(2) = 0.92-0.99) indicated the flatness of the venous return surface. The averaged surface was CO(V) = V/0.129 - 19.61P(RA) - 3.49P(LA). To examine the invariability of the surface parameters among animals, we predicted the circulatory equilibrium in response to changes in stressed volume in another 12 dogs under normal and heart failure conditions. This was achieved by equating the standard surface with the individually measured cardiac output (CO) curve. In this way, we could predict CO [y = 0.90x + 5.6, r(2) = 0.95, standard error of the estimate (SEE) = 8.7 ml.min(-1).kg(-1)], P(RA) (y = 0.96x, r(2) = 0.98, SEE = 0.2 mmHg), and P(LA) (y = 0.89x + 0.5, r(2) = 0.98, SEE = 0.8 mmHg) reasonably well. We conclude that the venous return surface accurately represents the venous return properties of the systemic and pulmonary circulations. The characteristics of the venous return surface are invariable enough among animals, making it possible to predict circulatory equilibrium, even if those characteristics are unknown in individual animals.  相似文献

Adiponectin is secreted by adipocytes and has been implicated in the regulation of energy homeostasis. Vigorous training program represents a physical stress condition in which heavy changes in energy expenditure might increase adiponectin concentration in athletes. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate if there are changes in fasting adiponectin concentration during preparatory period in elite male rowers. Twelve rowers (mean and SD; age: 20.8+/-3.0 years; height: 192.9+/-4.7 cm; body mass: 91.9+/-5.3 kg; body fat percentage: 11.9+/-1.4%) were tested seven times over a 24-week training season. In addition to adiponectin, leptin, insulin, growth hormone, and glucose values were evaluated. Maximal oxygen consumption (VO (2 max)) and aerobic power (Pa (max)) were determined before and after the training period. Training was mainly organized as low-intensity prolonged training. Significant increases in VO (2 max) (by 3.2+/-1.8%; from 6.2+/-0.5 to 6.4+/-0.4 l/min), VO (2 max/kg) (by 2.2+/-2.0%; from 67.9+/-3.0 to 69.4+/-3.0 ml/min/kg) and Pa (max) (by 4.6+/-6.3%; from 444.6+/-39.1 to 465.8+/-25.0 W) were observed after the 24-week period. All measured body compositional values were similar to pretraining values after the training period. Fasting adiponectin did not change during the preparatory period. Likewise, leptin, insulin, growth hormone, and glucose values were not significantly changed after the training period. Adiponectin concentration was significantly correlated (all p<0.05) with body mass (r=-0.40), body fat mass (r=-0.33), body fat free mass (r=0.38), and leptin (r=-0.31) values. In conclusion, fasting adiponectin does not change throughout the prolonged training period in elite male rowers despite substantial changes in training volume. Further studies are needed to clarify possible mechanisms by which adiponectin might influence energy homeostasis during heavy training in elite athletes.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between blood gases and acid-base measurements in arterial, arterialized venous, and venous blood measured simultaneously during short-term maximal exercise. Ten well-trained male cyclists performed a graded maximal exercise test on a cycle ergometer to determine the power output corresponding to their peak oxygen consumption (test I), and a short-term maximal test on a cycle ergometer at peak power output (test II). During test II arterial, arterialized venous and venous blood were sampled simultaneously for determination of partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide, pH, bicarbonate (HCO3-), base excess (BE), and lactate (La). Samples were taken at rest, the end of 1 min of exercise (1 ME), at the end of exercise (EE), and at 2 min of recovery (REC). During test II, subjects maintained a peak power output of 370.6 (62.1) W [mean (SD)] for 4.5, SD 1.6 min. Except at rest venous and arterialized venous measurements tended to be the same at all sampling intervals, but differed significantly from measurements in arterial blood (P less than 0.05). BE was the only variable that rendered consistently significant correlations between arterial and arterialized venous blood at each sampling interval. The pooled correlation coefficient between arterial and arterialized venous BE was r = 0.83 [regression equation: BEa = (0.84 BEav)-0.51]. Some experimental procedures are associated with placement of animals in wire-bottom cages. The goal of this study was to evaluate stress-related physiological parameters (heart rate [HR], body temperature [BT], locomotor activity [LA], body weight [BW] and food consumption) in rats under two housing conditions, namely in wire-bottom cages and in bedding-bottom cages. Telemetry devices were surgically implanted in male Sprague-Dawley rats. HR, BT and LA were recorded at 5 min intervals. Analysis under each housing condition was performed from 16:00 to 08:00 h of the following day (4 h light, 12 h dark). During almost all of the light phase, the HR of rats housed in wire-bottom cages remained high (371 ± 35 bpm; mean ± SD; n = 6) and was significantly different from that of rats housed in bedding-bottom cages (340 ± 29 bpm; n = 6; P < 0.001; Student's t-test). In general, BT was similar under the two housing conditions. However, when rats were in wire-bottom cages, BT tended to fluctuate more widely during the dark phase. LA decreased when animals were housed in wire-bottom cages, in particular during the dark phase. Moreover, there was a significant difference with respect to the gain in BW: BW of rats housed in bedding-bottom cages increased 12 ± 2 g, whereas that of rats in wire-bottom cages decreased by 2 ± 3 g (P < 0.001). Our results demonstrate that housing rats in wire-bottom cages overnight leads to immediate alterations of HR, BW and LA, which might be related to a stress response.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to examine whether variables commonly used in aerobic exercise testing are influenced by menstrual cycle phases and use of oral contraceptive (OC) in female rowers. Twenty-four eumenorrheic female rowers distinguished on the basis of both menstrual status and athleticism participated in this study and were divided into competitive cyclic athletes (n = 8), recreationally trained cyclic athletes (n = 7), and recreationally trained athletes taking OC pills (ROC; n = 9). Rowers performed 2 incremental tests to voluntary exhaustion on a rowing ergometer during 2 different phases of the menstrual cycle: the follicular phase (FP) and the luteal phase (LP). The study variables were power output (Pa), heart rate (HR), oxygen consumption (VO2), carbon dioxide production (VCO2), minute ventilation (VE), the mean respiratory exchange ratio, and ventilatory equivalents of O2 (VE/VO2)) and CO2 (VE/VCO2), which were measured at maximal and at the aerobic-anaerobic transition intensities. In addition, maximal blood lactate (La) values after the test were obtained. When comparing Pa, &OV0312;o2, HR, and La values, no significant differences (p > 0.05) between FP and LP at maximal load and at threshold intensity were found in all 3 groups of the rowers studied. However, we observed higher values (p < 0.05) for VE/VCO2 at both intensities in LP compared with FP in the ROC group. In conclusion, sport-specific endurance performance was not influenced by the phase of the normal menstrual cycle and the synthetic menstrual cycle of the OC users in the rowers studied. Therefore, normally menstruating female rowers and female rowers taking OC pills should not be concerned about the timing of their menstrual cycle with regard to optimized sport-specific endurance performance.  相似文献

目的:研究4周中等强度有氧运动结合饮食控制对肥胖女青年、少年血清总胰岛素样生长因子1(IGF-1)、IGF-1结合蛋白3(IGFBP-3)水平和IGF-1活性的影响及其在体脂减少和糖脂代谢改善中的作用。方法:招募9名18~19岁肥胖女青年和30名14~16岁肥胖女少年,进行全封闭的4周中等强度有氧运动结合饮食控制干预。运动项目有游泳、跑步、健身操等,每周运动6 d,每天运动4 h,每运动30 min,休息5 min。运动强度从第1周的低强度(运动后即刻心率约100~120次/分)递增至第2~4周的中强度(运动后即刻心率约120~140次/分)。根据基础代谢率给予每日1 400或1 600 kcal的总能量。另招募正常体重女青年和女少年各9名作为对照组。检测肥胖女青年、少年在4周干预前、后和对照组女青年、少年的体重、身体质量指数(BMI)、腰围、空腹血糖、胰岛素和血脂水平以及血清总IGF-1和IGFBP-3的水平和IGF-1活性。结果:①与对照组相比,肥胖女青年、少年的血清总IGF-1和IGFBP-3水平均降低且肥胖女少年的IGF-1活性降低;②4周中等强度有氧运动结合饮食控制在显著降低肥胖女青年、少年的体脂、腰围和改善糖脂代谢的同时,降低血清IGFBP-3水平、增加IGF-1活性,但血清总IGF-1水平没有显著改变。且相关性分析显示IGF-1活性增加可能与肥胖女青年的腰围减少有关,但血清IGFBP-3水平的降低和IGF-1活性的增加与糖脂代谢的改善没有显著相关性。结论:4周中等强度有氧运动结合饮食控制降低肥胖女青年、少年的血清IGFBP-3水平、增加IGF-1活性;且IGF-1活性的增加可能与运动结合饮食控制降低肥胖女青年的腰围有关。  相似文献

Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) experience repetitive nocturnal oscillations of systemic arterial pressure that occur in association with changes in respiration and changes in sleep state. To investigate cardiac function during the cycle of obstruction (apnea) and resumption of ventilation (recovery), we continuously measured left ventricular stroke volume (LVSV) and mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) during non-rapid-eye-movement sleep in six males with severe OSA (apnea/hypopnea index > or = 30 events/h associated with oxygen saturation < 82%). LVSV was assessed continuously using an ambulatory ventricular function monitor (VEST; Capintec). The apnea-recovery cycle was divided into three phases: 1) early apnea (EA), 2) late apnea (LA), and 3) recovery (Rec). In all subjects recovery was associated with an abrupt decrease in LVSV [54.0 +/- 14.5 (SD) ml] compared with either EA (91.4 +/- 14.7 ml; P < 0.001) or LA (77.1 +/- 15.2 ml; P < 0.005). Although heart rate increased with recovery, the increase was not sufficient to compensate for the decrease in LVSV so that cardiac output (CO) fell (EA: 6,247 +/- 739 ml/min; LA: 5,741 +/- 1,094 ml/min; Rec: 4,601 +/- 1,249 ml/min; EA vs. Rec, P < 0.01; LA vs. Rec, P < 0.025). Recovery was also associated with a significant increase in MAP. We speculate that such abrupt decreases in LVSV and CO at apnea termination, occurring coincident with the nadir of oxygen saturation, may further compromise tissue oxygen delivery.  相似文献

Using a general linear mixed model, we conducted a 10-year follow-up investigation of 29 persons requiring observation in the cadmium (Cd)-polluted Kakehashi River basin to determine serial changes in biological parameters after removal of Cd-polluted soil present in rice paddies. In particular, we investigated changes in urinary Cd, urinary total protein, biological acid-base balance based on arterial blood pH, carbon dioxide tension (Pa(CO2)), base excess (BE), serum chloride ion (SCl(-)), and renal glomerular function based on serum creatinine (SCr) and creatinine clearance (C(Cr)). In both sexes, urinary Cd concentrations decreased and total protein concentrations increased with increasing number of years elapsed, with the partial regression coefficients statistically significant in the women. Partial regression coefficients showed positive values for SCl(-), with statistical significance in both sexes. The value for Pa(CO2) was significantly negative in men. Given the serial changes in arterial blood pH, Pa(CO2), BE, SCl(-), it is suggested that the biological acid-base balance will progress to metabolic acidosis with hyperchloremia. Moreover, glomerular dysfunction as indicated by an increase in SCr and a decrease in C(Cr) will continue to progress even after soil replacement. Interventions such as soil replacement appear to be too late to prevent progressive renal failure in Cd-exposed populations.  相似文献

This study investigated the tackling ability of junior elite and subelite rugby league players, and determined the relationship between selected physiological and anthropometric characteristics and tackling ability in these athletes. Twenty-eight junior elite (mean ± SD age, 16.0 ± 0.2 years) and 13 junior subelite (mean ± SD age, 15.9 ± 0.6 years) rugby league players underwent a standardized 1-on-1 tackling drill in a 10-m grid. Video footage was taken from the rear, side, and front of the defending player. Tackling proficiency was assessed using standardized technical criteria. In addition, all players underwent measurements of standard anthropometry (stature, body mass, and sum of 7 skinfolds), acceleration (10-m sprint), change of direction speed (505 test), and lower body muscular power (vertical jump). Junior elite players had significantly greater (p < 0.05) tackling proficiency than junior subelite players (65.7 ± 12.5 vs. 54.3 ± 16.8%). Junior elite players tended to be taller, heavier, leaner, and have greater acceleration, change of direction speed, and muscular power, than the junior subelite players. The strongest individual correlates of tackling ability were acceleration (r = 0.60, p < 0.001) and lower body muscular power (r = 0.38, p < 0.05). When multiple linear regression analysis was performed to determine which of the physiological and anthropometric characteristics predicted tackling ability, fast acceleration was the only variable that contributed significantly (r2 = 0.24, p < 0.01) to the predictive model. These findings demonstrate that fast acceleration, and to a lesser extent, lower body muscular power contribute to effective tackling ability in junior rugby league players. From a practical perspective, strength and conditioning coaches should emphasize the development of acceleration and lower body muscular power qualities to improve tackling ability in junior rugby league players.  相似文献
