The taxonomically important characteristics of Xerula melanotricha Dörfelt are constant in fruit bodies, also in such which have been formed in culture. Studies on the development of the fruit bodies in culture showed that the macrosetae are formed already in the primordium. At first they are hyaline and colourless. A dark fluid (guttation) is secreted by the macrosetae. This is a specific characteristic of Xerula melanotricha. The fluid has an influence on the colours of the fruit bodies. The American specimens of “Collybia longipes” are revised by Mitchel & Smith (1978). These autors consider all the American collections to be a special variety, “Oudemansiella longipes (St. Amans) Moser var. americana Mitchel et Smith”. Investigations of the holotypus and of other collections suggested that this variety is a well characterized, seperate species. This taxon is an endemit of the Southern Rocky Mountains. The species of the Angelica archangelica L.-group and Angelica lucida L.-group are included in Angelica L. based on morphological coincidences and simularities. Both related groups represent different section, the sect. Coelopleurum (Ledeb.) Pimen. and sect. Archangelica Regel of the genus Angelica L. The area of Angelica L. shows an holarctic distribution (fig. 1). A map and diagnoses give an idea of the distribution patterns of the species. They generally occur in mesic sites along rivers often also along the edge of forests. A. archangelica L. is divided into subsp. archangelica with var. decurrens (Ledeb.) comb. nov., f. decurrens, f. tschimganica (Korov.) comb. nov., f. komarowii (Schischk.) comb, nov., f. himalaica (Clarke) comb. nov., var. sativa (Mill.) Two new species and one new variety of Oudemansiella (Agaricales) from Japan are described and illustrated: (1) Oudemansiella latilamellata sp. nov. (subgenus Xerula, section Radicatae) has relatively broad lamellae and broadly ellipsoid spores with a subacute apex; (2) Oudemansiella rhodophylla sp. nov. (subgenus Xerula, section Radicatae), growing in deciduous forests of Fagus crenata, Quercus crispula, etc., is characteristic in having lamellae tinted reddish; and (3) Oudemansiella amygdaliformis var. bispora var. nov. (subgenus Xerula, section Albotomentosae) is distinguished from the type variety by having two-spored basidia and grows in evergreen oak forests (Castanopsis sieboldii, Quercus glauca, etc.) or bamboo groves.  相似文献

Oedipus Mont.),露水玉霉原变种[P. roridus (Bolt.) Pers. var. roridus],露水玉霉突囊变种新组合[P. roridus var. umbonatus (Butler) Hu &Zheng, comb. nov.]。水玉霉属先后报道过的种或种下分类群名称共计50个左右,其中一些异名往往被不同的作者归到不同的正名下面。为了解决它们的正确归属问题,我们对全部原始描述作了细致的文献考证然后决定其位置。对那些找不到原始描述或从原始描述中得不出结论的则作为可疑名称处理。可疑名称共计12个:Mucor obliquus Scop., M. urceolatus Dicks.;Pilobolus urceolatus Purt., P. pestis-bovinae Hallier(=P. hallierii Rivolta), P. nanus van Tieghem, P. intermedius, (Coem.) Tripsacum dactyloides (L.) L. extends across the range of this genus from about 42°N to 24°S latitude in the New World. It is recognized to include T. dactyloides var. dactyloides (North America), var. meridonale deWet et Timothy (South America), var. hispidum (Hitchc.) deWet et Harlan comb. nov. (Mesoamerica) and var. mexicanum deWet et Harlan var. nov. (Mesoamericana). The genus is divided into sections Tripsacum and Fasciculatum. Mesoamerican members of section Tripsacum are classified into T. bravum Gray, T. dactyloides (L.) L., T. intermedium deWet et Harlan spec, nov., T. latifolium Hitchc., T. manisuroides deWet et Harlan spec. nov. and T. zopilotense Hern,*** et Randolph. We studied the morphological diversity and analyzed the small subunit rDNA sequences of two taxa formerly known as Euglena spirogyra Ehr. and Euglena fusca (Klebs) Lemmermann. Our studies confirmed that the two should have the rank of a species, namely Lepocinclis spirogyroides (Ehr.) Marin et Melkonian and Lepocinclis fusca (Klebs) Kosmala et Zakry? comb. nov. (Euglenophyceae). We are defining new diagnostic features for these species, namely the size and the shape of the cells and the shape of the papillae, as well as designating epitypes for them.  相似文献

The rDNA sequencing data obtained during the last 5 years in several laboratories clearly demonstrate that within the heterogeneous genus Kluyveromyces there is a group of highly related species, which we refer to as the genus Zygofabospora Kudriavzev 1960 emend. G. Naumov 2002. This genus includes four hybridizing species, Zf. marxiana, Zf. dobzhanskii, Zf. lactis, Zf. wickerhamii (Zygofabospora sensu stricto), and two taxonomically related species, Zf. aestuarii, Zf. nonfermentans (Nagahama et al.) G. Naumov comb. nov. (Zygofabospora sensu lato). We studied the relationships of the yeasts composing the Zf. lactis complex. Genetic hybridization analysis and molecular karyotyping revealed partial genetic-isolation varieties, Zf. lactis var. drosophilarum (Shehata et al.) G. Naumov comb. nov. and Zf. lactis var. phaseolospora (Shehata et al.) G. Naumov comb. nov. from North America, and Zf. lactis var. krassilnikovii (Kudriavzev) G. Naumov comb. nov. from Europe. The dairy yeast Zf. lactis var. lactis G. Naumov comb. nov. yields highly fertile hybrids with its wild ancestor Zf. lactis var. krassilnikovii and semi-sterile hybrids with North American taxa. Besides, Zf. lactis var. lactis and Zf. lactis var. krassilnikovii formed fertile hybrids with the South African yeast Zf. lactis var. vanudenii (van der Walt et Nel) G. Naumov comb. nov. The reinstatement of the latter yeast at the variety level has been done taking into account the results of the present study and the literature data on its geographic isolation, high divergence of the karyotype and mitochondrial DNA.  相似文献

Essential oil components and gross morphological characters are closely correlated in Dichanthium parviflorum (R. Br.) de Wet et Harlan (Gramineae) and related species. Different species, varieties, and geographical races, as well as hybrids between them, can be identified on the basis of absence or presence and quantity of essential oil components. The morphologically variable D. parviflorum was subdivided into four varieties: var. parviflorum, var. capilliflorum (Steud.) de Wet et Harlan comb. nov., var. mutispiculum (Ohwi) de Wet et Harlan comb. nov., and var. spicigerum (S. T. Blake) de Wet et Harlan comb. nov. These varieties differ from each other morphologically in having respectively racemes with 1-4 and awned, 3-5 and awned, 1-2 and awnlass, and 4-10 and awned spikelet pairs per raceme.  相似文献

Holococcolithophorids, pyrmnesiophytes having only one type of calcareous element in their coccoliths, are delicate and not commonly recorded in recent and fossil marine floras. There are few records of these organisms from the Indian Ocean and 26 species from there are included in this report. Although the group, generally assigned to a single family, the Calyptrosphaeraceae, may contain species that are part of the life history of heterococcolith-bearing cells in other stages, so little is known of this aspect of their biology that one must continue, at the present time, to treat them as independent taxonomic entities. A key is provided for the known holococcolithophorid genera. A new genus, Gliscolithus, and three new species, Gliscolithus amitakarenae, Calyptrosphaera heimdalae, and Helladosphaera pienaarii are described. The following new combinations are proposed: Calyptrolithina fragaria (Kamptner) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina gaarderae (Borsetti et Cati) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina isselii (Borsetti et Cati) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina lafourcadii (Lecal) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina magnaghii (Borsetti et Cati) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina multipora (Gaarder) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina porritectum (Heimdal) comb. nov., Calyptrolithina wettsteinii (Kamptner) comb. nov., Calyptrolithophora catillifera (Kamptner) comb. nov., Calyptrolithophora galea (Lecal-Schlauder) comb. nov., Dactylethra pirus (Kamptner) comb. nov., Helladosphaera arethusae (Kamptner) comb. nov., Helladosphaera gracilis (Kamptner) comb. nov., Homozygosphaera strigilis (Gaarder) comb. nov. and Syracolithus schilleri (Kamptner) comb. nov. The new combination in the genus Dactylethra Gartner for the first time brings an extant species into this genus that formerly contained only fossil species. It is pointed out that the enlarged zygoliths in stomatal areas of Corisphaera and the helladoliths in stomatal regions of Helladosphaera have intergrading types and are not distinctive enough characteristics to separate these genera.  相似文献

The New World species of Bothriochloa O. Kuntze are polyploids with 2n = 60, 120, 180 and 220 chromosomes and they reproduce sexually. Plants with 2n = 180 chromosomes constitute the extremely variable B. barbinodis (Lag.) Herter, which is subdivided into var. barbinodis, var. palmeri (Hack.) de Wet comb. nov., and var. schlumbergeri (Fourn.) de Wet comb. nov. The single collection with 2n = 220 chromosomes belongs with var. schlumbergeri. Plants resembling B. barbinodis in inflorescence structure but having well-developed pedicellate spikelets and 2n = 120 chromosomes are included in B. campii (Swallen) de Wet comb. nov. South American collections of B. springfieldii (Gould) Parodi differ from North American collections in having 2n = 60 rather than 120 chromosomes and in having larger inflorescences as does B. barbinodis. Variety australis de Wet. var. nov. is described to include them.  相似文献

Three new species of the genus Sapindopsis Fontaine from Central Asia and western Siberia are described: S. neuburgae (Vachr.) Golovn., comb. nov., S. janschinii (Vachr.) Golovn., comb. nov., and S. kryshtofovichii (I. Lebed.) Golovn., comb. nov. Geographical and stratigraphic analyses have shown that the genus evolved in Eurasia from the Middle Albian to the Cenomanian, and was mostly restricted to the subtropics of the Euro-Sinian phytogeographic area from the Middle East to Russian Primorye and northern China. The are no reliable records of Sapindopsis from Europe. The migration of Sapindopsis from North America to Eurasia through the Bering Land Bridge was most probably related to the Early-Middle Albian climatic optimum.  相似文献

Leptotheca is recognized as comprising two species,L. boliviana Herzog (L. costaricensis Cardot & Thér., syn. nov.) andL. gaudichaudii Schwaegr. The latter species consists of two varieties, var.gaudichaudii and var.wattsii (Cardot) comb. nov. The genus is characterized by its acrocarpous habit, lanceolate leaves with an excurrent costa and smooth, thick-walled cells, and the occurrence of uniseriate, usually papillose propagula on the upper stems. The genus is transferred from the aulacomniaceae to the Rhizogoniaceae on the basis of gametophytic and sporophytic characters. A key to the genera of the Rhizogoniaceae is provided.  相似文献

On the basis of comparative morphology and phylogenetic analyses of rbcL and LSU rDNA sequence data, a new genus, Gayliella gen. nov., is proposed to accommodate the Ceramium flaccidum complex (C. flaccidum, C. byssoideum, C. gracillimum var. byssoideum, and C. taylorii), C. fimbriatum, and a previously undescribed species from Australia. C. transversale is reinstated and recognized as a distinct species. Through this study, G. flaccida (Kützing) comb. nov., G. transversalis (Collins et Hervey) comb. nov., G. fimbriata (Setchell et N. L. Gardner) comb. nov., G. taylorii comb. nov., G. mazoyerae sp. nov., and G. womersleyi sp. nov. are based on detailed comparative morphology. The species referred to as C. flaccidum and C. dawsonii from Brazil also belong to the new genus. Comparison of Gayliella with Ceramium shows that it differs from the latter by having an alternate branching pattern; three cortical initials per periaxial cell, of which the third is directed basipetally and divides horizontally; and unicellular rhizoids produced from periaxial cells. Our phylogenetic analyses of rbcL and LSU rDNA gene sequence data confirm that Gayliella gen. nov. represents a monophyletic clade distinct from most Ceramium species including the type species, C. virgatum. We also transfer C. recticorticum to the new genus Gayliella.  相似文献

Maemonstrilla gen. nov. , known exclusively from females, is proposed for Monstrilla longipes A. Scott, 1909, M. turgida A. Scott, 1909, and five new species from coral reef plankton in the Ryukyu Islands, Japan: Maemonstrilla hyottoko sp. nov. (type species), M. polka sp. nov. , M. spinicoxa sp. nov. , M. simplex sp. nov. and M. okame sp. nov. A syntype of M. turgida was examined, but the holotype of M. longipes is lost; the latter species, being similar to several of the new species, is regarded as unidentifiable, and the identity of specimens assigned to it by several authors is put in doubt. Until now, all known female monstrilloids have had posteriorly trailing ovigerous spines, but in Maemonstrilla gen. nov. these spines point anteriorly and hold the egg mass between the legs beneath the thorax. This is the first known instance of subthoracic brooding in a planktonic copepod; its functional significance is discussed, and brooding habits of non‐planktonic copepods are briefly reviewed. The intercoxal sclerites of legs 1–4 in Maemonstrilla gen. nov. are very wide, making room for the eggs. In all species except M. turgida comb. nov. , the inner seta of the proximal segment of each leg ramus is either absent or reduced to a nub; this may lessen interference of the egg mass with leg movement. All species have a uniramous leg 5 with two setae, except M. turgida comb. nov. (biramous with setae on both rami); M. turgida comb. nov. is evidently the sister‐group of its congeners, each sister‐group in the genus being defined by additional autapomorphies. Scanning electron micrographs of all the Ryukyuan species except M. simplex sp. nov. are provided; these constitute a preliminary survey of monstrilloid integumental organs and cuticular ornamentation. Among the unusual features are two lobes at the base of the coxa in legs 1–4 of M. polka sp. nov. and M. spinicoxa sp. nov. and two pairs of posterodorsal spine‐like scales on the first and second free pedigers of M. turgida comb. nov. Newly hatched nauplii of M. okame sp. nov. , examined by scanning electron microscopy, are generally similar to those of Monstrilla hamatapex Grygier & Ohtsuka, 1995, but with a different mandibular structure in which the distal hook and seta clearly represent the endopod, not enditic armament of the basis. © 2008 The Linnean Society of London, Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, 2008, 152 , 459–506.  相似文献

Type material of Navicula kotschyi was studied, and this species was transferred to Dorofeyukea gen. nov. as D. kotschyi comb. nov. Dorofeyukea was described on the basis of DNA sequence and morphological data. Additional species assigned to this genus that were previously included in Navicula include: D. ancisa comb. nov., D. grimmei comb. nov., D. ivatoensis comb. nov., D. orangiana comb. nov., D. rostellata comb. nov. & stat. nov., D. savannahiana comb. nov., D. tenuipunctata comb. nov., and D. texana comb. nov. All Dorofeyukea species share the same morphological features, including having a narrow stauroid fascia surrounded by 1–3 irregularly shortened striae, uniseriate, and weakly radiate striae, circular, or rectangular puncta in the striae that are covered internally by dome‐shaped hymenes, presence of a pseudoseptum at each apex and absence of septa. Partial DNA sequences of SSU and rbcL loci show Dorofeuykae belongs to the clade of stauroneioid diatoms together with Stauroneis, Prestauroneis, Craticula, Karayevia, Madinithidium, Fistulifera, Parlibellus, and, possibly, Schizostauron. A new species from the monoraphid genus Madinithidium, M. vietnamica sp. nov., was described based on valve and chloroplast morphology as well as DNA sequence data.  相似文献

This paper presents new data on free-living heterotrophic euglenids (Euglenozoa, Protista) that were found at several freshwater sites in New South Wales, Northern Territory, and Queensland, Australia. Thirty-six species are described with uninterpreted records based on light-microscopy. The records include accounts of two new taxa: Heteronema pterbicanov. spec., Sphenomonas alburiae nov. spec., and of six new combinations: Dinema dimorphum (Skuja, 1932) nov. comb., Notosolenus mediocanellatus(Stein, 1878) nov. comb., Notosolenus steini (Klebs, 1893) nov. comb., Ploeotia obliqua(Klebs, 1893) nov. comb., Ploeotia plana(Christen, 1959) nov. comb., and Rhabdomonas mirabilis (Playfair, 1921) nov. comb. We also introduce the following: Astasia skvortzovi nom. nov., Heteronema hexagonum var. elegans (Playfair, 1921) nov. comb., Petalomonas compressa (Schewiakoff, 1893) nov. comb., and Jenningsia deflexumvar dextrum (Shi, 1975) nov. comb. All records of heterotrophic euglenids in Australia are reviewed. The majority of species reported here have also been found at other locations worldwide, and we find little or no evidence that there is endemism in this group.  相似文献

目前构成梭菌属的微生物在系统发育和表型特征上不一致。多相分类数据表明,梭菌属物种之间差异大。大量基于16S rRNA 基因的系统发育研究表明,梭菌属应被限定为梭菌属类群I,作为狭义梭菌属(Clostridium sensu stricto)。尽管有这方面认识,梭菌属新物种仍持续增加,这些新物种并不能与梭菌属类群I 和标准种丁酸梭菌(C. butryicum)形成一致分支,引发梭菌属分类上的混乱。本文明确了梭菌属物种的范围,即只包括模式种和梭菌属类群I。此外,4 个物种念珠状真杆菌(Eubacterium moniliforme)、旋舞真杆菌(Eubacterium tarantellae)、最大八叠球菌(Sarcina maxima)和胃八叠球菌(Sarcina ventriculi)应被调至梭菌属,分别命名为念珠状梭菌(Clostridium moniliforme)、旋舞梭菌(Clostridium tarantellae)、最大梭菌(Clostridium maximum)和胃梭菌(Clostridium ventriculi)。一个新属哈撒韦氏菌属(Hathewaya)被提议成立,3 个梭菌属物种溶组织梭菌(Clostridium histolyticum)、泥渣梭菌(Clostridium limosum)和解朊梭菌(Clostridiumproteolyticum)重新归为溶组织哈撒韦氏菌(Hathewaya histolytica)、泥渣哈撒韦氏菌(Hathewaya limosa)和解朊哈撒韦氏菌(Hathewaya proteolytica),其中Hathewaya histolytica 为模式种。  相似文献
