Einencrinaster- vorkommen (ophiuroidea) aus dem unterdevon der eifel

The speciesEncrinaster uedersdorfensis n. sp. is described from the lower Emsian beds of the Stadtfeld group. The slender species, closely related toE. arnoldi (SchÖndorf), is investigated along with the evolution of the entire genus. The way of life comparable to recent Ophiuroidea led to individual-rich populations in characteristic biocenoses. Preservation in isotopic allochthonous assemblages is attributed to transport by storm beds.

Short preliminary report on excellently preserved vegetable microfossils, besides an insect excrement consisting of fern-spores, from the Lower Cretaceous Iguanodontidae locality of Nehden (Sauerland, Westphalia, FRG).     

Ein Flugsaurier-Rest aus dem Posidonienschiefer (Unter-Toarcium) von Schandelah bei Braunschweig

A detailed stratigraphic section of the Lower Toarcian Posidonienschiefer of Schandelah near Braunschweig (Niedersachsen, West Germany) is presented, and a pterosaur pelvis from that locality referred to asCampylognathoides sp. is described. It is the first record of this genus in North West Germany. A restoration of the pelvis indicates a laterally, slightly upwardly directed orientation of the acetabula which does not support a bird-like bipedal locomotion of this pterosaur as has been suggested elsewhere.     

Ein letzter Vertreter der thecostegidae (Tabulata) aus dem mittelkarbon von Darwas (Tadzhikische SSR)

Marcopolia n. gen. is described from Middle Carboniferous Moscovian beds of Darwas (Tadzhikian SSR). It is the last representative of the family Thecostegidae.     

NeueSilene-Arten (Caryophyllaceae) aus dem Gebiet der Flora Iranica

15 new species are described: Sect.Sclerocalycinae:S. farsistanica, S. stapfii. — Sect.Spergulifoliae:S. paktiensis. — Sect.Auriculatae:S. caroli-henrici, S. daënensis, S. gertraudiae, S. nizvana, S. oligophylla, S. persepolitana, S. pseudaucheriana, S. pseudonurensis, S. renzii, S. salangensis, S. sojakii. — Sect.Brachypodae:S. rasvandica. — All the new species are from Iran with exception ofS. paktiensis andS. parvanica which are from Afghanistan.

Einige Bennettiteen-Blatter aus dem Lias von Karmozd-Zirab (N-Iran)

In this paper Some Bennettitean leaves from the Lias of Karmozd-Zirab, Northern Iran, the author describes some Ptilophyllum species from a rich assemblage of Jurassic plants, collected by him in 1960 and 1961. The species axe Ptilophyllum bengalense (Oldh.) Schimper, P. harrisianum sp.nov., P. zirabense sp. nov., andP. minor sp. nov.     

Beobachtungen anLempholemma-Arten aus dem Ostalpenraum (Lichenes,Lichinaceae)

The phycobiont of all species ofLempholemma analyzed is attacked by haustoria. The haustoria of these five species ofLempholemma and of two species with unknown apothecium but with a thallus quite similar toLempholemma are described. They show distinct morphological and functional characters which allow species delimitation.

Die Tentakuliten aus dem Frasnium (Ober-Devon) von Ghuk (westliches Zentral-Afghanistan)

Frasnian tentaculites from western part of Central-Afghanistan are described. Six of the 11 studied species are new:Dicricoconus dupliannulatus n. sp.,Dicricoconus ghukensis n. sp.,Dicricoconus gracilis n. sp.,Dicricoconus harundata n. sp.,Volynites kaminjensis n. sp. andAlternatus spatiosus n. sp. The fauna is appearing in two stratigraphic levels. The occurrence ofTentaculites donensis respectively ofDicricoconus tichomirovi, Dicricoconus tragula andUniconus livnensis confirmes the middle-upperfrasnian respectively the upperfrasnian age of both levels. The Devonian basin of Ghuk area was connected with the epicontinental sea of the Russian Plateform throughout the Frasnian and with the Libyan basin at least during upperfrasnian time.
