在棉株结铃前,红铃虫一代卵主要分布于棉株新展开叶上。在棉花单株结铃达2.5个左右时,红铃虫卵均集中分布于棉青铃上。红铃虫二、三代卵分别以由外到内第二、三和第三、四大铃圆锥体位上的青铃卵量分布最多,分别占全株卵量的58.56%和67.19%红铃虫在10天以上日龄的青铃上均可产卵,其中在20~34天日龄的青龄上产卵量最大,占青铃上总卵量的55.02%。一代和二、三代红铃虫卵常分别1~8粒和1~13粒聚产成堆,单个青铃上可同期产卵1~16粒。  相似文献

Reports of bollworm, Helicoverpa zea (Boddie), larvae feeding in white flowers of Bollgard cotton have been relatively common since the commercialization of this technology in 1996. Field studies were conducted in Louisiana to determine if differences in bollworm larval behavior occuron non-Bollgard (cultivar 'Deltapine 5415') and Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), Bollgard ('NuCOTN 33B') cottons. Larvae were placed on the terminal foliage of either single cotton plants or on all plants within 1-m row micro-plots. On preflowering cotton plants, significantly more bollworms moved from the site of infestation (terminal) on Bollgard plants compared with that on non-Bollgard plants. On individual flowering plants, the number of nodes larvae moved from the terminal and the number of infested bolls was greater on Bollgard cotton plants. Similar differences between Bollgard and non-Bollgard plants in the percentage of infested terminals and squares were observed at 48-h after infestation when 1-m rows were infested. These data will be used to refine scouting protocols for bollworm larvae on Bollgard cotton.  相似文献

为研究棉花对棉铃虫为害超补偿作用的生理机制,作者在山东省滨州市棉田进行了模拟第二代棉铃虫为害的试验。结果表明:每株棉花摘除8个早蕾后,最终成铃数增加13.4%,其中下部第6及其上果枝的成铃数增加较多。处理组棉叶中可溶性糖和淀粉含量上升,氨基酸含量下降,光合作用强度加大(3.6%~6.7%),叶面积系数增加8.5%~28.1%,单株生产力增大,从而揭示了超补偿作用的重要机制。  相似文献

Field tests were conducted in northeastern Louisiana to determine the effects of infestations by Helicoverpa zea (Boddie) on cotton bolls of varying ages. First instars were caged on bolls of nontransgenic ('Deltapine 5415') or transgenic Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner variety kurstaki (Bt) ('NuCOTN 33B') cotton from 29 June to 11 August during 1997 and 1998. Deltapine 5415 bolls that accumulated 179 (7.2 d), 281 (11.2 d), and 253 (10.1 d) heat units beyond anthesis were safe from bollworm-induced abscission at 72 h after infestation, 7 d after infestation, and at the time of harvest, respectively. NuCOTN 33B bolls that accumulated 157 (6.3 d), 185 (7.4 d), and 180 (7.2 d) heat units beyond anthesis were safe from bollworm-induced abscission at 72 h after infestation, 7 d after infestation, and at the time of harvest, respectively. Bollworm larvae reduced seedcotton weights of Deltapine 5415 bolls that accumulated between 58.5 (2.3 d) and 350.5 (14.0 d) heat units beyond anthesis. Seedcotton weights of NuCOTN 33B bolls that accumulated between 0 and 281 (11.2 d) heat units beyond anthesis were reduced by bollworm injury. Deltapine 5415 and NuCOTN 33B bolls that accumulated 426.5 (17.1 d) and 299.5 (12.0 d) heat units beyond anthesis, respectively, before infestation were not injured by first-instar bollworm larvae. These data provide information about late-season insecticide termination strategies for bollworms on nontransgenic and transgenic Bt-cotton. This, in turn, will help pest managers determine when insecticides are no longer economical during the late season.  相似文献

We tested effects of kaolin particle film on oviposition, larval mining, and infestation of cotton by pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), in the laboratory, greenhouse, and field. In laboratory choice tests, females laid seven times more eggs on untreated bolls than on bolls treated with kaolin. When neonates were put on bolls in the laboratory, each boll with a treated and untreated half, larvae and mines were found 24 h later on the untreated half but not on the treated half. In oviposition choice tests with whole plants in the greenhouse, females laid four times more eggs on untreated plants than on treated plants and the number of eggs on bolls was five times higher for untreated plants than for treated plants. Kaolin treatments altered the distribution of eggs among plant parts, with untreated bolls receiving a higher percentage than treated bolls, whereas the opposite occurred for petioles. In field tests, treatment with kaolin alone reduced the proportion of bolls infested with pink bollworm, but a mixture of kaolin and the pyrethroid lambda-cyhalothrin was most effective. The results suggest that kaolin particle film may be useful against pink bollworm, particularly in conjunction with other control tactics.  相似文献

Transgenic cotton that produces insecticidal crystal protein Cry1Ac of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) has been effective in controlling pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders). We compared responses to bolls of Bt cotton and non-Bt cotton by adult females and neonates from susceptible and Cry1Ac-resistant strains of pink bollworm. In choice tests on caged cotton plants in the greenhouse, neither susceptible nor resistant females laid fewer eggs on Bt cotton bolls than on non-Bt cotton bolls, indicating that the Bt toxin did not deter oviposition. Multiple regression revealed that the number of eggs laid per boll was negatively associated with boll age and positively associated with boll diameter. Females also laid more eggs per boll on plants with more bolls. The distribution of eggs among bolls of Bt cotton and non-Bt cotton was clumped, indicating that boll quality rather than avoidance of previously laid eggs was a primary factor in oviposition preference. Parallel to the results from oviposition experiments, in laboratory no-choice tests with 10 neonates per boll, the number of entrance holes per boll did not differ between Bt cotton and non-Bt cotton for susceptible and resistant neonates. Also, like females, neonates preferred younger bolls and larger bolls. Thus, acceptance of bolls by females for oviposition and by neonates for mining was affected by boll age and diameter, but not by Bt toxin in bolls. The lack of discrimination between Bt and non-Bt cotton bolls by pink bollworm from susceptible and resistant strains indicates that oviposition and mining initiation are independent of susceptibility to Cry1Ac.  相似文献

Refuges of non-Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L., are used to delay Bt resistance in pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), a pest that eats cotton seeds. Contamination of refuges by Bt transgenes could reduce the efficacy of this strategy. Previously, three types of contamination were identified in refuges: 1) homozygous Bt cotton plants, with 100% of their seeds producing the Bt toxin Cry1Ac; 2) hemizygous Bt plants with 70-80% of their seeds producing Cry1Ac; and 3) non-Bt plants that outcrossed with Bt plants, resulting in bolls with Cry1Ac in 12-17% of their seeds. Here, we used laboratory bioassays to examine the effects of Bt contamination on feeding behavior and survival of pink bollworm that were resistant (rr), susceptible (ss), or heterozygous for resistance (rs) to Cry1Ac. In choice tests, rr and rs larvae did not differ from ss in preference for non-Bt versus Bt seeds. Survival of rr and rs also did not differ from ss on artificial outcrossed bolls (a mixture of 20% Bt and 80% non-Bt cotton seeds). On artificial hemizygous Bt bolls (70% Bt seeds) and homozygous Bt bolls (100% Bt seeds), rr had higher survival than ss, although rs and ss did not differ. In a simulation model, levels of refuge contamination observed in the field had negligible effects on resistance evolution in pink bollworm. However, in hypothetical simulations where contamination conferred a selective advantage to rs over ss individuals in refuges, resistance evolution was accelerated.  相似文献

We examined the patterns of male pink bollworm (PBW), Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders), moth catches in gossyplure-baited traps over a 15-year period from 1989 to 2003 in the Imperial Valley, California, USA. Monitoring was conducted during periods when different pink bollworm areawide control strategies were being used. Numbers of male pink bollworm moths caught in gossyplure-baited traps progressively decreased each year from 1990 to 1994 during short-season cotton production. High numbers of male moths caught in traps from 1995 to 1997 may have been related to moth migrations from the large cotton acreages grown in the Mexicali Valley bordering the Imperial Valley. Transgenic Bollgard (Bt) cotton was planted in 3% of the cotton area in 1996 and thereafter in 80%- 94% of the cotton area from 1997 to 2003. Pink bollworm moth trap catches were significantly lower from 1998 to 2003 than catches in 1995 to 1997, except for 1999. The trapping results suggested that Bt cotton had significant input on reduction of pink bollworm populations, confirming results of other investigators and providing additional documentation on the benefits of the Bt cotton culture.  相似文献

In 1999, in the Governorate of Fayum, Egypt, an organically managed area of 66 ha (33 ha of cotton) was subjected to pheromone mating disruption (MD) in order to control Pectinophora gossypiella (PBW). Tripherone-PecGos dispensers (Trifolio-M Comp., Lahnau, Germany), evaporating 0.7 mg pheromone per day, were applied, at a density of 300 dispensers per hectare, in mid-June when the first bolls were forming. In a neighbouring area of conventional agriculture, no PBW-MD was used. Instead, two insecticides were sprayed in the cotton fields: Profenophos in early July, and Esfenvalerate in early August. Two cotton fields (0.5–1 ha each) were studied in each area. Boll infestation by PBW was low in the area with mating disruption, and significantly higher in the conventionally managed cotton, prior to insecticide use (June) and in August 1999. Bemisia tabaci , Aphis gossypii and Empoasca lybica infested conventional cotton in significantly higher numbers than organic cotton. Spiders proved to be more common in organically grown cotton (with PBW-MD) than in conventionally managed cotton (with mineral fertilizers and insecticides). The reasons of these differences are discussed. In 1998, the cotton yield had shown no differences between organically and conventionally managed farms (both used insufficient PBW-MD). However, in 1999, the yield from the organically grown cotton (with MD) was significantly (52%) more than that from conventionally managed cotton (with insecticides). Three roselle, Hibiscus sabdariffa L. varieties (Sudani, Masri and White) were cultivated at three different locations to recognize the transportation ability of roselle cultivation from the narrow old valley land to broad new land in Egypt. Qena as origin in situ old land, El-Kanater as ex situ old land and Nubaria as ex situ new land were the considered locations. Six growth quantitative characters and bolls infestation by spiny bollworm, Earias insulana were evaluated. Growth characters of roselle plants were affected significantly by either variety or location. Qena region was more suitable for roselle plant growth as judged with plant height, number of branches, number of fruits and sepals dry weight, followed by Nubaria followed by El-Kanater. Whereas, plants grown at Nubaria produced more fresh sepals weight than Qena or El-Kanater grown plants. As for Sudani, Nubaria exhibited the tallest plants, with the highest number of fruits and the heaviest fresh sepals as compared with the corresponding plants in Qena or El-Kanater. Values of broad sense heritability were highest for all characters in Qena. While the number of fruits per plant had the highest heritability in all locations. Dry sepals yield had highly significant correlation with all studied characters except percentage of water loss in Qena and Nubaria. Path coefficient analysis confirmed that fresh sepals yield had the highest direct and indirect effects on dried sepals yield. Chemical constituents responsible to sepal quality tended to produce significant variations due to the changes in varieties or locations. The highest levels of anthocyanins and sugars were achieved by Sudani variety, but the highest levels of free amino acids and total soluble solids were recorded for Masri variety. Moreover, Nubaria region was the most favourable for the accumulation of more anthocyanins in the sepals of all varieties followed by Qena. Plants grown at Qena produced sepals with the highest levels of sugars, free amino acids, organic acids and total soluble solids, followed by Nubaria followed by El-Kanater plants. Infestation with spiny bollworm Earias insulana was increased from Sudani up to Masri up to White varieties. Plants grown at Nubaria had the lowest number of attacks by bolls in all varieties, followed by those at El-Kanater followed by Qena plants. Spiny bollworm infestation was positively correlated with the number of branches and dry sepals weight, but negatively correlated with sepal moisture loss and anthocyanin contents. These findings clearly indicated that the Nubaria region was considered as a promising reclaimed area suitable for roselle cultivation, especially for Sudani, the most economic variety.  相似文献

Spiny bollworm, Earias insulana Boisduval (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is one of the most important pest of malvaceous plants throughout the world, except America. In recent years, this insect has been serious pest for cotton fields in southern regions of Iran, especially Darab region of Fars province. In order to evaluate the performance of sex pheromone in reduction of infestation percentage of the spiny bollworm by mass trapping method, an experiment was carried out during year of 2012 in Darab region in Randomised Completely Block Design with six treatments and four replications. The treatments were: application of the four sex pheromone trap densities at the rates of 16, 20, 24 and 30?traps/h, application of Larvin chemical insecticide at the rate of 1?L/h and control. Percentages of infected bolls and flowers to E. insulana were weekly determined. The application of Larvin insecticide performed as the pest population reached to economic threshold level. Analysis variance of results showed that there are significant differences between time, trap number and time?×?trap interaction on infestation percentage per hectare. During sampling time, the highest infestation percentage was in control treatment and the lowest one was observed in 30 and 24?traps/h treatments. The peak of infestation percentage was seen in 18th of November. The best efficiency among treatments was observed in pheromone trap. In conclusion, using sex pheromone trap in comparison to application of insecticides can efficiently reduce infestation level of cotton fields.  相似文献

【目的】棉铃虫Helicoverpa armigera(Hübner)是花生田主要害虫之一。转基因抗虫棉全面推广后,棉铃虫种群(包括棉田、花生田、玉米田)得到有效控制。近年,随着转基因抗虫棉种植面积逐年下降,花生田棉铃虫种群呈现逐年上升趋势。【方法】本文通过调查山东省花生主产区(非棉区)龙口、招远、莱阳、文登四个县级市花生田棉铃虫成虫、卵量、幼虫量等的发生情况,分析了棉铃虫发生面积及种群数量15年(2000—2014年)的变化规律,并重点分析了主要影响因素。【结果】结果表明:花生棉铃虫发生面积受棉花种植面积影响较大,二者呈显著负相关性;花生田棉铃虫累计诱蛾量总体呈下降趋势,但与棉花种植面积相关性不显著;棉铃虫卵量、虫量与抗虫棉种植面积呈显著负相关性。【结论】所以,转基因抗虫棉种植面积减少是导致花生田棉铃虫种群数量上升的主要因素。另外,近年玉米田棉铃虫发生面积也呈逐年上升趋势,与抗虫棉种植面积呈显著负相关。所以,随转基因抗虫棉种植面积的下降,若不采取有效措施,棉铃虫种群可能会出现大发生趋势。  相似文献

用作用因子组建的种群生命表方法组建了4种不同控制措施下的第3、4代棉铃虫自然种群生命表。结果表明,自然条件下第3、4代棉铃虫卵的寄生率分别为4.93%、1.19%,被捕食率平均21.11%和15.80%。第3、4代幼虫寄生率分别为19.34%、16.20%。结果表明,第3、4代棉铃虫自然种群增长指数分别仅为0.1921、0.1228;采用选择性杀虫剂IKI和Bt制剂组合防治棉铃虫后。第3、4代种群  相似文献

Abstract

The incidence of insect pests in cotton crop, such as Bemisia tabaci, Amrasca devastans and Pectinophora gossypiella (PBW) is dependent on climatic factors, such as maximum and minimum temperature, relative humidity and rainfall. Besides, cotton leaf curl disease (CLCuD) is also a major yield-limiting factor in the cotton crop. The results indicated that non-transgenic genotypes were heavily infested by whitefly, whereas jassid infested all genotypes with little difference. The population of whitefly and jassid acquired peak level in the month of July and August on all the genotypes. The correlation studies indicated the negative correlation of jassid, pink bollworm and CLCuD on yield component, whereas whitefly infestation was found positively correlated with CLCuD. Moreover, multivariate regression analysis (MRA) indicated the maximum and minimum temperature impacted the infestation of whitefly and jassid more than other factors, whereas maximum temperature greatly impacted the infestation of PBW in transgenic genotypes.  相似文献

Transgenic cotton producing a Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) toxin is widely used for controlling the pink bollworm, Perctinophora gossypiella (Saunders). We compared performance of pink bollworm strains resistant to Bt cotton with performance of their susceptible counterparts on non-Bt cotton. We found fitness costs that reduced survival on non-Bt cotton by an average of 51.5% in two resistant strains relative to the susceptible strains. The survival cost was recessive in one set of crosses between a resistant strain and the susceptible strain from which it was derived. However, crosses involving an unrelated resistant and susceptible strain indicated that the survival cost could be dominant. Development time on non-Bt cotton did not differ between the two related resistant and susceptible strains. A slight recessive cost affecting development time was suggested by comparison of the unrelated resistant and susceptible strains. Maternal effects transmitted by parents that had eaten Bt-treated artificial diet as larvae had negative effects on embryogenesis, adult fertility, or both, and reduced the ability of neonates to enter cotton bolls. These results provide further evidence that fitness costs associated with the evolution of resistance to Bt cotton are substantial in the pink bollworm.  相似文献

转Bt基因抗虫棉对 3 ,4,5龄棉铃虫幼虫的抗性表现形式为拒食作用 ,且随幼虫龄期的增加拒食作用明显降低 ,其中对 5龄幼虫的拒食作用很低。取食Bt棉后 ,3 ,4,5龄棉铃虫幼虫中肠消化酶比活力均较对照有所减退 ,且随幼虫龄期的增加减退率明显降低 ,其中对 5龄幼虫减退率最低。由此 ,解释了Bt棉对 3龄及 3龄以上棉铃虫幼虫抗性表现形式、抗性随不同幼虫龄期的差异性 ,及其抗性差异性的消化机理。  相似文献

通过人工接虫为害,研究了3代棉铃虫对蕾铃脱落及结铃的影响,观察了不同年份棉铃虫卵和各龄幼虫的自然存活率及棉花蕾、幼铃的成铃率。结果表明,蕾铃的虫害脱落率对结铃的影响最大,直接通径系数达-0.8917,虫量和蕾铃脱落数主要通过接虫期间的虫害脱落率影响棉花结铃,其间接通径系数分别为-0.8894和-0.891,接虫期间的自然脱落率对结铃的直接和间接通径系数均很小,表明33代棉铃虫为害时棉花4的补偿能力已基本丧失,各龄幼虫的为害量观察表明,1-6龄幼虫的单虫为害当量分别为0.02、0.14、0.31、0.47、0.84和1.54个大铃,根据防治的直接和间接收益,得出3代棉铃虫的防治指标为百株累计卵量26粒。  相似文献

利用“H”型嗅觉仪测定结果表明 :在棉花蕾期、花铃期 ,棉铃虫 2龄幼虫对常规棉的棉叶、嫩头的选择性明显高于转基因棉花品种 ,差异达显著或极显著水平。但 3龄幼虫对两者的选择性差异并不显著 ;而在棉花蕾期 ,果枝对棉铃虫 2龄幼虫选择性行为有一定的影响。试验初步说明Bt棉对棉铃虫低龄幼虫有一定的忌避作用 ,而对高龄幼虫忌避效应不显著。  相似文献
