Five new species of the Stenus indubius group (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) from China

Five new species of the Stenus indubius group from China are described: Stenus cangshanussp. n. from Yunnan Province, Stenus hewenjiaesp. n. from Sichuan Province, Stenus taiyangshanussp. n. from Guangdong Province, Stenus yinziweiisp. n. and Stenus zhaiyanbinisp. n. from Guizhou Province.Diagnostic characters are illustrated and a key to the species of this group from the Chinese mainland is provided.     

Two new species of Matileola (Diptera,Keroplatidae) from China

Only three species belong to Matileola in previously described species of Keroplatidae from world. Here two species are added to the fauna of Chinese mainland, Matileola motuoensis sp. nov. and Matileola sejilaensis sp. nov., which are described and illustrated as new to science. The genus Diolcogaster Ashmead, 1900 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Microgastrinae) from China

The genus Diolcogaster Ashmead, 1900 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Microgastrinae) from China is revised and keyed, with nine new species, namely Diolcogaster bifurcifossasp. n., Diolcogaster brevivenasp. n., Diolcogaster grammatasp. n., Diolcogaster ineminenssp. n., Diolcogaster laetimediasp. n., Diolcogaster pluriminitidasp. n., Diolcogaster praritassp. n., Diolcogaster punctatiscutumsp. n. and Diolcogaster translucidasp. n. described and illustrated, and one species, Diolcogaster perniciosa (Wilkinson, 1929) recorded for the first time from China. A key to the Chinese species of this genus is provided.     

Three new species of cockroach genus Symploce Hebard, 1916 (Blattodea,Ectobiidae, Blattellinae) with redescriptions of two known species based on types from Mainland China

Three new species of Symploce Hebard from China are described: Symploce sphaerica sp. n., Symploce paramarginata sp. n. and Symploce evidens sp. n. Two known species are redescribed and illustrated based on types. A key is given to identify all species of Symploce from mainland China.

报道了笔者于１９９０年至１９９２年间在浙江海岛（大陆岛）植被资源调查工作中发现的９个地理分布新记录,其中４种为中国分布新记录,３种及２亚种为中国大陆分布新记录。此外,还报道了同时发现的归化植物４种,其中３种为中国分布新记录,１种为中国大陆分布新记录。     

Notes on the Stenus cirrus group, with description of two new species from China (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae)

Two new species, Stenus zhangdinghengisp. n., Stenus maoershanussp. n.,of the Stenus cirrus group are described from South China, Guangxi Province. The male of Stenus fellowesi Puthz, 2003 and the female of Stenus huanghaoi Tang & Li, 2008 were discovered for the first time. Their diagnostic characters are illustrated and a key to the Chinese species of the Stenus cirrus group is provided.     

Notes on the genus Ismarus Haliday (Hymenoptera, Diapriidae) from China

The Chinese species of the genus Ismarus Haliday, 1835, are revised for the first time. Three new species from the Oriental region of China and belonging to Ismarus halidayi-group are described and illustrated: Ismarus longussp. n., Ismarus nigritrochantersp. n. and Ismarus parvicellussp. n. Two species are newly reported for the Chinese fauna: Ismarus dorsiger (Haliday, 1831) and Ismarus halidayi Foerster, 1850. A key to the Chinese species of the genus is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Hymenopteran Collection of South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou (SCAU).     

The apid cuckoo bees of the Cape Verde Islands (Hymenoptera, Apidae)

The apid cuckoo bees of the Cape Verde Islands (Republic of Cape Verde) are reviewed and five species recognized, representing two genera. The ammobatine genus Chiasmognathus Engel (Nomadinae: Ammobatini), a specialized lineage of cleptoparasites of nomioidine bees is recorded for the first time. Chiasmognathus batelkaisp. n. is distinguished from mainland African and Asian species. The genus Thyreus Panzer (Apinae: Melectini) is represented by four species - Thyreus denoliisp. n., Thyreus batelkaisp. n., Thyreus schwarzisp. n., and Thyreus aistleitnerisp. n. Previous records of Thyreus scutellaris (Fabricius) from the islands were based on misidentifications.     

New species of Choleoeimeria (Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae), coccidia of bile-bladders of reptiles, illustrating a multiplicity of host cell-parasite interrelations

Oocyst characteristics and histological features of the endogenous development of bile-bladder coccidia of the genus Choleoeimeria Paperna and Landsberg, 1989 are described and the main features for species differentiation are discussed for the following new species: C. allogamae n. sp. from Agama sp., Cameroon, West Africa; C. allogehyrae n. sp. from Gehyra australis, Magnetic Island (type) and mainland N Queensland, Australia; C. boulii n. sp. from Gehyra variegata, SW Queensland, Australia; C. calotesi n. sp. from Calotes mystaceus, Xiang-Mai, Thailand; C. heteronotis n. sp. from Heteronotia binoei, N Queensland, Australia; C. lygosomis n. sp. from Lygosoma buringi, Kon-Kaen, Thailand; C. sylvatica n. sp. from Carlia rhomboidalis, N Queensland, Australia, and C. xiangmaii n. sp. from Hemidactylus frenatus, Xiang-Mai, Thailand. Oocyst characteristic of Choleoeimeria are also reported from Oedura castelnaui, N Queensland. The described species demonstrate a diversity of associations with the bile-bladder epithelial lining, from a single parasite in a single hypertrophic host cell to multiple infections inducing the hypertrophied cells to form stratified layers, or merge into branched clumps.     

The Chinese species of the genus Ontsira Cameron (Hymenoptera,Braconidae, Doryctinae)

The Chinese species of the genus Ontsira Cameron, 1900 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Doryctinae) are reviewed. Eleven species are recognized, of which four new species are described from China and South Korea: O. abbreviata sp. n., O. henana sp. n., O. robusta sp. n., and O. rugivertex sp. n. Two species, O. ignea (Ratzeburg) and O. neantica Belokobylskij et Maetô, are recorded in China for the first time. A key to the Asian species of the genus Ontsira is provided.     

A new species and new records of the leafhopper genus Taperus Li & Wang, 1994 (Hemiptera,Cicadellidae, Evacanthinae) from China

The paper deals with the species of the Oriental leafhopper genus Taperus Li & Wang. A new species, Taperus daozhenensissp. n., from Guizhou Province, China is described and new records for other Chinese species are given together with a key for their separation. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University (GUGC).     

A taxonomic study of Chinese species of the insidiosus group of Metaphycus (Hymenoptera,Encyrtidae)

In this paper, twelve insidiosus-group species of the genus Metaphycus Mercet from China are reviewed. Five species, M. corniae sp. n., M. cylindricus sp. n., M. deltoideus sp. n., M. transversus sp. n. and M. yaanensis sp. n., are described as new to science. A key to the females of these species is given to facilitate species recognition. Photomicrographs are provided to illustrate morphological characters of these species. All specimens, unless otherwise specified, are deposited in the National Zoological Museum of China, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing.     

A taxonomic study of Chinese species of the alberti group of Metaphycus (Hymenoptera,Encyrtidae)

Ten alberti-group species of the genus Metaphycus Mercet from China are reviewed. Six species Metaphycus dorsalis sp. n., Metaphycus chinensis sp. n., Metaphycus wui sp. n., Metaphycus stylatus sp. n., Metaphycus fusiscapus sp. n. and Metaphycus fusiformis sp. n. are described as new to science. Four known species from China are redescribed. A key to the females of the Chinese species is given and photomicrographs are provided to illustrate morphological characters of these species. All specimens unless otherwise specified are deposited in the National Zoological Museum of China Institute of Zoology Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing.     

中国狭翅广口蝇属(双翅目,广口蝇科)新种和新纪录

经研究,确认中国狭翅广口蝇属Plagiostenoperina Hendel（双翅目,广口蝇科）已知7种,记述了采自中国云南西双版纳的1新种,云南狭翅广口蝇P．yunnana sp,nov．。报道了中国1新纪录种,端斑狭翅广口蝇P．teres Hendel（分布：云南西双版纳）,以及我国大陆的两个新纪录种,古铜狭翅广口蝇P．aenea（Wiedemann）（分布：广西龙州大青山、海南）和台湾狭翅广口蝇P．formosana Hendel（广东、广西、福建、云南）。新种模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所,北京。     

中国绒瘦足蝇属记述(双翅目,瘦足蝇科)(英文)

首次报道绒瘦足蝇属Rainieria在我国大陆有2种分布,描述新种三鬃绒瘦足蝇Rainieria triseta sp.nov.,重新描述亮翅绒瘦足蝇Rainieria leucochira Czerny,并编制我国绒瘦足蝇属分种检索表。三鬃绒瘦足蝇,新种Rainieria triseta sp.nov.(图5～8,11～12)新种独特,头部具3根眶鬃,容易与本属其他种区分。正模♂,辽宁宽甸大华山,2009-07-13,王俊潮采。副模1♂,黑龙江帽儿山,1984-06-23。词源:新种种名意指头部眶鬃数目。     

印度颊脊隐翅虫属中国的新种与新纪录(鞘翅目,隐翅虫科,隐翅虫亚科)

记述印度颊脊隐翅虫属Induquedius中国1新种,刘氏印度颊脊隐翅虫Induquedius liuae sp. nov.和中国1新纪录种,捷印度颊脊隐翅虫Ⅰ.baliyo Smetana,1988及中国大陆1新纪录种,台湾印度颊脊隐翅虫Ⅰ.formosae(Cameron),1949.新种与来自锡金的Ⅰ.sikkimensis(Cameron),1932很相似,但雄性外生殖器中叶端部更窄缩,侧叶侧支端部各有4根细毛,腹部第8腹板端凹缘很浅,与后者不同.     

Taxonomy of the genus Peyerimhoffia Kieffer from Mainland China,with a description of seven new species (Diptera,Sciaridae)

The taxonomy of the genus Peyerimhoffia Kieffer in China was studied. Eight species were recognized, including seven new species that are herein described and illustrated: P. hamata sp. n., P. obesa sp. n., P. sparsula sp. n., P. longiprojecta sp. n., P. brachypodua sp. n., P. yunnana sp. n., and P. shennongjiana sp. n. In addition, P. vagabunda (Winnertz, 1867) is reported for the first time from China. A key to these Chinese species is provided.     

A revision of the spider genus Selenops Latreille, 1819 (Arachnida, Araneae, Selenopidae) in North America, Central America and the Caribbean

The spider genus Selenops Latreille, 1819 occurs in both the Old World and New World tropics and subtropics and contains nearly half of the species in the family Selenopidae Simon, 1897. In this paper the members of the genus Selenops found in North America, Central America, and on islands of the Caribbean are revised, excluding Cuban endemics. No taxonomic changes are currently made to the species from the southwestern United States. In total, 21 new species are described, including Selenops arikoksp. n., Selenops chamelasp. n., Selenops amonasp. n., Selenops bawekasp. n., Selenops bocacanadensissp. n., Selenops enriquillosp. n, Selenops ixchelsp. n., Selenops huetocatlsp. n., Selenops kalinagosp. n., Selenops oviedosp. n., Selenops morrosp. n., Selenops deniasp. n., Selenops duansp. n., Selenops malinalxochitlsp. n., Selenops oricuajosp. n., Selenops petenajtoysp. n., Selenops guerrerosp. n., Selenops makimakisp. n., Selenops souligasp. n., Selenops wilmotorumsp. n., and Selenops wilsonisp. n. Six species names were synonymized: Selenops lunatus Muma, 1953 syn. n. =Selenops candidus Muma, 1953; Selenops tehuacanus Muma 1953 syn. n., Selenops galapagoensis Banks, 1902 syn. n. and Selenops vagabundus Kraus, 1955 syn. n. = Selenops mexicanus Keyserling, 1880; Selenops santibanezi Valdez-Mondragón, 2010 syn. n. = Selenops nigromaculatus Keyserling, 1880; and Selenops salvadoranus Chamberlin, 1925 syn. n. = Selenops bifurcatus Banks, 1909. Lectotypes are designated for the following three species: Selenops marginalis F. O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1900 (♂), Selenops morosus Banks, 1898 (♂), and Selenops mexicanus Keyserling, 1880 (♀). The female neotype is designated for Selenops aissus Walckenaer, 1837. The males of Selenops bani Alayón-García, 1992 and Selenops marcanoi Alayón-García, 1992 are described for the first time, and the females of Selenops phaselus Muma, 1953 and Selenops geraldinae Corronca, 1996 are described for the first time. Almost all species are redescribed, barring Cuban endemics and a few species recently described. New illustrations are provided, including those of the internal female copulatory organs, many of which are illustrated for the first time. A key to species is also provided as are new distributional records.     

New earthworm species of the genus Amynthas Kinberg, 1867 from Thailand (Clitellata, Oligochaeta, Megascolecidae)

Four new species of terrestrial earthworms from the zebrus-group in the genus Amynthas Kinberg, 1867, are described from Nan province, north Thailand: Amynthas phatubensissp. n., from Tham Pha Tub Arboretum, Amynthas tontongsp. n., from Tontong Waterfall, Amynthas borealissp. n., from Chaloemprakiat district, and Amynthas srinansp. n., from Srinan National Park.After comparing with the two closely related Laos species Amynthas chandyi Hong, 2008 and Amynthas namphouinensis Hong, 2008, the four new species show clear morphological differences, and also it is confirmed that there are no previous records of the species described here. Amynthas phatubensissp. n. is the largest (longest) sized of these earthworms and is the only species that lives in limestone habitats. The genital characters are different among them and also from the two Laotian species. Molecular systematics would be a good method for further analysis of the diversity and species boundaries in SE Asian Amynthas.     

武陵山希蚱属一新种（直翅目：蚱科）

报道了中国武陵山地区蚱科,希蚱属Xistrella Bolivar一新种:湖南希蚱Xistrella hunanensis Wang新种,并附中国希蚱属分种检索表。模式标本保存在中国科学院昆明动物研究所。
