Lower extremity muscle strength training is a focus of rehabilitation following total hip arthroplasty (THA). Strength of the hip abductor muscle group is a predictor of overall function following THA. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of hip abductor strengthening following rehabilitation on joint contact forces (JCFs) in the lower extremity and low back during a high demand step down task. Five THA patients performed lower extremity maximum isometric strength tests and a stair descent task. Patient-specific musculoskeletal models were created in OpenSim and maximum isometric strength parameters were scaled to reproduce measured pre-operative joint torques. A pre-operative forward dynamic simulation of each patient performing the stair descent was constructed using their corresponding patient-specific model to predict JCFs at the ankle, knee, hip, and low back. The hip abductor muscles were strengthened with clinically supported increases (0–30%) above pre-operative values in a probabilistic framework to predict the effects on peak JCFs (99% confidence bounds). Simulated hip abductor strengthening resulted in lower peak JCFs relative to pre-operative for all five patients at the hip (18.9–23.8 ± 16.5%) and knee (20.5–23.8 ± 11.2%). Four of the five patients had reductions at the ankle (7.1–8.5 ± 11.3%) and low back (3.5–7.0 ± 5.3%) with one patient demonstrating no change. The reduction in JCF at the hip joint and at joints other than the hip with hip abductor strengthening demonstrates the dynamic and mechanical interdependencies of the knee, hip and spine that can be targeted in early THA rehabilitation to improve overall patient function.  相似文献

BackgroundPeriacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is a common treatment for pre-arthritic hip dysplasia in young adults. The purpose of this study was to better understand changes in muscle volume and composition after PAO visualized using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).MethodsA prospectively collected series of individuals that underwent PAO for hip dysplasia were reviewed to identify subjects with pre- and postoperative MRI. In our practice, MRI was obtained preoperatively and greater than 6 months after PAO for persistent hip pain. MRI sequences were selected to optimize visualization of the muscle volume, fatty infiltration, and hip joint cartilage. MRI images were selected at predetermined bony landmarks and analyzed using 3D Slicer (©2021, www.slicer.org) software to measure muscle diameter and calculate muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) in 17 individual muscles surrounding the hip. Muscle atrophy was graded using the Goutallier classification for fatty infiltration and acetabular cartilage condition was graded using the Outerbridge classification. We compared pre- and postoperative muscle area and composition as well as cartilage for each case.ResultsA series of six female patients met our inclusion criteria. Mean age was 26 years at time of surgery. All cases had MRI sequences adequate for muscle volume measurements. Fatty infiltration and cartilage changes were recorded in four subjects with appropriate MRI sequences. Separating muscle groups, external rotators underwent the largest volume increase. Hip flexors demonstrated mild volume decrease. CSA change among external rotators averaged +12%, hip flexors -9.3%, and hip abductors -9.2% after PAO. All muscles had either the same or increased fatty infiltration after surgery, with gluteus medius and iliacus undergoing the most average increase. Similarly, cartilage condition worsened by a small margin in this series.ConclusionOur results provide preliminary indication that PAO may have noticeable effects on muscle characteristics and cartilage in the early postoperative period. 目的:探讨人工全髋关节置换治疗成人髋关节发育不良并骨性关节炎的临床疗效。方法:对2009年7月至2012年7月入住我院的60例成人髋关节发育不良并骨性关节炎患者行人工全髋关节置换术治疗。分析治疗优良率、手术前后不同Crowe分型Harris评分、手术前后行走及疼痛情况、手术前后生活质量。结果:1根据Harris评分,本组治疗优良率91.67%(55/60);2术后各Crowe分型患者Harris评分均显著高于术前,差异均具有统计学意义(P<0.05);3本组术前自行行走及辅助行走例数分别为23及37例,术后分别为39例及21例;术前疼痛情况:无、轻、中及重度疼痛例数分别为1例、6例、22例及31例,术后分别为18例、28例、12及2例,手术前后行走情况及疼痛情况差异均具有统计学意义(P<0.05);4根据SF-36生活质量评价标准,术后生活质量评分为(142.16±10.32)分,显著高于术前(115.24±7.34)分,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:人工全髋关节置换治疗成人髋关节发育不良并骨性关节炎的临床疗效显著,术后患者髋关节功能及生活质量明显改善,应在临床上加以推广。  相似文献

To study the inter-reader reliability of detecting abnormalities of sacroiliac (SI) joints in patients with recent-onset inflammatory back pain by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and to study the prevalence of inflammation and structural changes at various sites of the SI joints. Sixty-eight patients with inflammatory back pain (at least four of the five following criteria: symptom onset before age 40, insidious onset, morning stiffness, duration >3 months, improvement with exercise--or three out of five of these plus night pain) were included (38% male; mean age, 34.9 years [standard deviation 10.3]; 46% HLA-B27-positive; mean symptom duration, 18 months), with symptom duration <2 years. A MRI scan of the SI joints was made in the coronal plane with the following sequences: T1-weighted spin echo, short-tau inversion recovery, T2-weighted fast-spin echo with fat saturation, and T1-spin echo with fat saturation after the administration of gadolinium. Both SI joints were scored for inflammation (separately for subchondral bone and bone marrow, joint space, joint capsule, ligaments) as well as for structural changes (erosions, sclerosis, ankylosis), by two observers independently. Agreement between the two readers was analysed by concordance and discordance rates and by kappa statistics. Inflammation was present in 32 SI joints of 22 patients, most frequently located in bone marrow and/or subchondral bone (29 joints in 21 patients). Readers agreed on the presence of inflammation in 85% of the cases in the right SI joint and in 78% of the cases in the left SI joint. Structural changes on MRI were present in 11 patients. Ten of these 11 patients also showed signs of inflammation. Agreement on the presence or absence of inflammation and structural changes of SI joints by MRI was acceptable, and was sufficiently high to be useful in ascertaining inflammatory and structural changes due to sacroiliitis. About one-third of patients with recent-onset inflammatory back pain show inflammation, and about one-sixth show structural changes in at least one SI joint.  相似文献

Background

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is used to identify spinal pathoanatomy in people with persistent low back pain. However, the clinical relevance of spinal degenerative MRI findings remains uncertain. Although multiple MRI findings are almost always present at the same time, research into the association with clinical outcomes (such as pain) has predominantly focused on individual MRI findings. This study aimed to: (i) investigate how multiple MRI lumbar spine findings cluster together within two different samples of patients with low back pain, (ii) classify these clusters into hypothetical pathways of degeneration based on scientific knowledge of disco-vertebral degeneration, and (iii) compare these clusters and degenerative pathways between samples.

Methods

We performed a secondary cross-sectional analysis on two dissimilar MRI samples collected in a hospital department: (1) data from the spinal MRI reports of 4,162 low back pain patients and (2) data from an MRI research protocol of 631 low back pain patients. Latent Class Analysis was used in both samples to cluster MRI findings from lumbar motion segments. Using content analysis, each cluster was then categorised into hypothetical pathways of degeneration.

Results

Six clusters of MRI findings were identified in each of the two samples. The content of the clusters in the two samples displayed some differences but had the same overall pattern of MRI findings. Although the hypothetical degenerative pathways identified in the two samples were not identical, the overall pattern of increasing degeneration within the pathways was the same.

Conclusions

It was expected that different clusters could emerge from different samples, however, when organised into hypothetical pathways of degeneration, the overall pattern of increasing degeneration was similar and biologically plausible. This evidence of reproducibility suggests that Latent Class Analysis may provide a new approach to investigating the relationship between MRI findings and clinically important characteristics such as pain and activity limitation.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To study the frequency of regional lymph node metastasis of soft tissue tumors (STT) and to evaluate the utility of fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) as an initial investigative modality. STUDY DESIGN: A prospective and retrospective study of over 6 years (1998-2004) was performed to look for frequency of STT metastasizing to lymph nodes. FNAC of enlarged nodes was performed as a routine outpatient procedure after obtaining complete clinical details. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry were correlated where available. RESULTS: Lymph node enlargement was seen in 23 of 241 patients with STTs, of which 19 cases showed involvement (7.88%), synchronous with primary in 12 cases and metachronous in 7 cases. The most common sites of primary tumor were the lower extremity and head and neck region with involved regional lymph nodes. STTs commonly involving lymph nodes were rhabdomyosarcoma and extraskeletal Ewing's/primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET); other rare tumors included malignant granular cell tumor, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, mediastinal ganglioneuroblastoma, angiosarcoma and epithelioid sarcoma. CONCLUSION: Lymph node aspirates should be examined for alien cells, particularly smears that are paucicellular and demonstrate cystic change. Lymph node metastasis of STT is rare and influences staging, treatment and prognosis. Enlarged regional nodes should be examined with FNAC.  相似文献

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has revealed isolated pituitary stalk thickening (PST) in certain cases of idiopathic or secondary central diabetes insipidus (DI) due to infiltrative processes. Twenty-six children with DI and PST underwent cerebral MRI at the age of 8 +/- 4 years and were followed (n = 25) by clinical and MRI evaluation for 5.5 +/- 3.6 and 3.0 +/- 2 years, respectively, but given no treatment other than hormonal substitutive therapy. Patients were subdivided into groups according to the etiology of the DI: germinoma (n = 4), Langerhans' histiocytosis (n = 5) or 'idiopathic' DI with PST (n = 17). Complete anterior pituitary evaluation in 24 of the 26 patients revealed that 14 children were suffering from associated growth hormone deficiency and 7 had multiple hormone deficiencies. At the first MRI evaluation, pituitary stalk enlargement varied from 2.2 to 9.0 mm. The anterior pituitary gland was found to be normal (n = 12), small (n = 8) or enlarged (n = 6). At the final evaluation, a change in MRI features had occurred in 16 patients: morphological and/or signal changes in the PST (n = 16; 6 of whom showed an increase in PST) and changes in anterior pituitary gland size (n = 8; 3 of whom had increased and 5 had decreased). The presence of a growing suprasellar mass with a progressively enlarging pituitary stalk was demonstrated in the 6 patients who had shown increased pituitary stalk enlargement 1.8 +/- 1.6 years after the first MRI. In 4 of these patients, a diagnosis of germinoma was made 1.3 +/- 0.6 years after PST identification by MRI at the onset of DI, but the other 2 patients showing a suprasellar mass were still categorized as 'idiopathic' at the final clinical evaluation performed 7.8 and 12.3 years after DI onset. In 10 patients (all but 1 with Langerhans' histiocytosis, showing 'idiopathic' DI) the pituitary stalk enlargement was diminished after 2.0 +/- 1.9 years of MRI follow-up, and there was a complete reversal of pituitary stalk enlargement in 5 patients. We conclude that the natural history of 'idiopathic' isolated central DI with PST is unpredictable. Although germinoma should always be considered during the first 3 years of follow-up in patients presenting isolated DI with PST by repeated investigations every 3-6 months, it remains an infrequent etiology, affecting only 15% of cases in our study.  相似文献

本文探讨蒺藜皂苷(STT)对糖基化终产物(AGEs)形成及AGEs诱导的内皮细胞功能障碍的影响。以荧光法检测AGEs体外形成,MTT法检测细胞存活率,试剂盒方法检测细胞及培养上清液中的一氧化氮(NO)水平、诱导型NO合酶(iNOS)活力和超氧阴离子水平(O2-.)。结果显示STT促进AGEs形成,并加剧AGEs诱导的内皮细胞生长抑制,提高细胞NO分泌,增加iNOS活力和O2-.水平。与海可、替告皂苷元作用进行比较,发现STT的细胞损伤作用可能是海可皂苷元引起的。提示STT未能抑制体外AGEs形成,对AGEs引起的内皮细胞功能障碍无明显保护作用,反而可能通过增强iNOS酶活加剧细胞损伤。  相似文献

目的:探讨人工髋关节置换术在治疗股骨头缺血性坏死(ANFH)中的临床疗效。方法:选择2007 年2 月-2011 年2 月我院收 治的320 例(340 髋)股骨头缺血性坏死患者,均采用人工髋关节置换术对患者进行治疗,其中160 例(172 髋)患者应用骨水泥型 假体进行治疗,另外160 例(168)患者采用非骨水泥型假体进行治疗。采用Harris评分对患者手术前后的髋关节功能情况进行评 价,并比较骨水泥治疗组和非骨水泥治疗组的临床疗效。结果:患者均获得随访,随访时间为3~18 个月。全部患者手术后的 Harris评分明显高于手术前,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。骨水泥治疗组和非骨水泥治疗组在术后出血量、术后Harris 评分及住 院时间方面的差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),但非骨水泥治疗组的并发症发生率明显低于骨水泥治疗组(P<0.05)。结论:采用人工 髋关节置换术治疗ANFH疗效显著,能明显改善患者的生活质量,骨水泥型假体与非骨水泥型假体的治疗效果相当,应根据患者 的具体情况进行合理的选择。  相似文献

The key step of protein N-glycosylation is catalyzed by the multimeric oligosaccharyltransferase complex (OST). Biochemical and genetic studies have revealed that OST from Saccharomyces cerevisiae consists of nine subunits: Wbp1, Swp1, Stt3, Ost1, Ost2, Ost3, Ost4, Ost5, and Ost6. With the exception of Stt3, assumed to contain the catalytic site, little is known about the function of other OST subunits. The existence of the OST complex is suggested to allow substrate specificity and efficient transfer, a close interaction with the translocon and the prevention of protein folding to ensure the efficient co-translational modification of proteins. However, in the recently completed genome of the trypanosomatid parasite Leishmania major STT3 (of which four paralogs exist, STT3-1, STT3-2, STT3-3, and STT3-4) is the only OST subunit that can be identified. Here we report that L.m.STT3 proteins, except STT3-3, are able to complement stt3 deficiency in yeast during vegetative growth, but only poorly during sporulation. By blue native electrophoresis we demonstrate that the L.mSTT3 is active mainly as a free, monomeric enzyme. In cell-free assays and also in vivo we find that L.mSTT3, expressed in yeast, has a broad specificity for nonglucosylated lipid-linked mannose-oligosaccharides, typical for several protists. But when incorporated into the OST complex, L.mSTT3 transfers also the common eukaryotic Glc(3)Man(9)GlcNAc(2)-PP-Dol donor. Finally, three L.m.STT3 paralogs were shown to complement not only stt3 but also ost1, ost2, wbp1, or swp1 mutants. Thus, STT3 from Leishmania can substitute for the whole OST complex.  相似文献

Autophagy is a degradative cellular pathway that protects eukaryotic cells from starvation/stress. Phosphatidylinositol 4-kinases, Pik1p and Stt4p, are indispensable for autophagy in budding yeast, but participation of PtdIns-4 kinases and their product, phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate [PtdIns(4)P], is not understood. Nanoscale membrane lipid distribution analysis showed PtdIns(4)P is more abundant in yeast autophagosomes in the luminal leaflet than the cytoplasmic leaflet. PtdIns(4)P is confined to the cytoplasmic leaflet of autophagosomal inner and outer membranes in mammalian cells. Using temperature-conditional single PIK1 or STT4 PtdIns 4-kinase mutants, autophagic bodies in the vacuole of PIK1 and STT4 mutant cells dramatically decreased at restrictive temperatures, and the number of autophagosomes in the cytosol of PIK1 mutants cells was also decreased, whereas autophagosome levels of STT4 mutant cells were comparable to that of wild-type and STT4 mutant cells at permissive temperatures. Localization of PtdIns(4)P in the luminal leaflet in the biological membrane is a novel finding, and differences in PtdIns(4)P distribution suggest substantial differences between yeast and mammals. We also demonstrate in this study that Pik1p and Stt4p play essential roles in autophagosome formation and autophagosome–vacuole fusion in yeast cells, respectively.  相似文献

Background: Footwear-generated medio-lateral foot center of pressure manipulation has been shown to have potential positive effects on gait parameters of hip osteoarthritis patients, ultimately reducing maximum joint reaction forces. The objective of this study was to investigate effects of medio-lateral foot center of pressure manipulation on muscle activity of hip-spanning and back muscles during gait in bilateral hip osteoarthritis patients. Methods: Foot center of pressure was shifted along the medio-lateral foot axis using a foot-worn biomechanical device allowing controlled center of pressure manipulation. Sixteen female bilateral hip osteoarthritis patients underwent electromyography analysis while walking in the device set to three parasagittal configurations: neutral (control), medial, and lateral. Seven hip-spanning muscles (Gluteus Medius, Gluteus Maximus, Tensor Fascia Latae, Rectus Femoris, Semitendinosis, Biceps Femoris, Adductor Magnus) and one back muscle (Erector Spinae) were analyzed. Magnitude and temporal parameters were calculated. Results: The amplitude and temporal parameter varied significantly between foot center of pressure positions for 5 out of 8 muscles each for either the more or less symptomatic leg in at least one subphase of the gait cycle. Conclusion: Medio-lateral foot center of pressure manipulation significantly affects neuromuscular pattern of hip and back musculature during gait in female hip bilateral osteoarthritis patients.  相似文献

Besides checking estimates of effectiveness and safety of using the proprietary Harpagophytum extract Doloteffin, this postmarketing surveillance compared various disease-specific* and generic** measures of effect. We enrolled 250 patients suffering from nonspecific low back pain (Back group: n = 104) or osteoarthritic pain in the knee (Knee group: n = 85) or hip (Hip group: n = 61). They took an 8-week course of Doloteffin at a dose providing 60 mg harpagoside per day. The measures of effect on pain and disability included the percentage changes from baseline of established instruments (Arhus low back pain index*, WOMAC index*, German version of the HAQ**) and unvalidated measures (total pain index*, three score index*, the patient's global assessment** of the effectiveness of treatment). Patients also received a diary for the daily recording of their pain and any additional treatments for it. The three groups differed in age, weight and characteristics of initial pain. 227 patients completed the study. Multivariate analysis confirmed that several dimensions of effect were recorded by the several outcome measures but, in all groups, both the generic and disease-specific outcome measures improved by week 4 and further by 8. In multivariable analysis, the improvement tended to be more when the initial pain and disability score was more: older patients tended to improve less than younger, the hip group tended to improve convincingly more than the back group, whereas the improvement in the knee group was less readily differentiated from that in the back group. The subgroup of Back patients who required NSAIDs during the 8 weeks used significantly more per patient than patients in the other two groups, but that requirement also declined more with time. About 10% of the patients suffered from minor adverse events that could possibly have been attributable to Doloteffin. Between 50% and 70% of the patients benefitted from Doloteffin with few adverse effects. Thus, Doloteffin is well worth considering for osteoarthritic knee and hip pain and nonspecific low back pain.  相似文献

Management of the recalcitrant total-hip arthroplasty wound   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The infection rate for total-hip arthroplasty is around 1 percent. This small group is usually managed by complete removal of the prosthesis and the cement and closure over suction catheters to "collapse" the wound and eventually achieve a girdlestone arthroplasty. Occasionally, there are patients who have a persistent draining wound after this treatment and repeated efforts at wound closure. We present 27 patients who had recalcitrant, noncollapsible wounds of the hip that were present for many months to years. Twenty-eight cases of infected total-hip arthroplasties that did not respond to removal of the prosthesis and cement and closure were seen by the authors between January of 1977 and December of 1988. One patient had bilateral involvement. Average age was 64 years (range 33 to 79 years). There was an average of 4.2 previous surgical attempts at closure (range 1 to 21). Staphylococcus aureus was the most common organism, but the infections were virtually all multiple. Thirty-three muscles were utilized in 27 patients. The rectus femoris was used in 23 cases, the vastus lateralis in 8, tensor fasciae latae in 1, and combined latissimus dorsi-serratus anterior free-tissue transfers were carried out in 2. Multiple combinations of transpositions and free flaps were utilized. Follow-up ranged from 1 to 10 years, with an average of 6.4 years. Eighteen patients were ambulatory with minor degrees of pain, five ambulated with a cane, seven ambulated with a walker, six ambulated with crutches, and four ambulated unassisted, all of whom had reimplantation of their hip arthroplasty at least 12 months following the muscle flap procedure.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

摘要 目的:总结原发性骨恶性纤维组织细胞瘤(PBMFH)的临床特征和预后。方法:回顾性分析我院2000年10月至2011年1月收治的24例PBMFH患者的术前影像学资料、诊断依据、治疗方案和随访资料。结果:24例患者全部通过术后病理确诊,穿刺准确率为75.00%.胸部X线检查结果显示:2例发现肺部转移灶,22例未发现肺部转移灶。肿瘤局部X线检查结果显示:3例出现骨质溶解性破坏,1例出现肿块影,20例表现为骨膜反应。MRI检查结果显示:4例MRI检查肿瘤局部情况时发现3例T1WI等信号、T2WI稍高信号,1例T1WI低信号、T2WI低信号。本研究中行放化疗18例,有6例(33.33%)发生转移,转移时间为6~45个月,中位转移时间为(25.30±6.24)个月,单纯手术治疗6例中有5例发生转移(83.33%),转移发生时间为3~6月,中位转移时间为(5.00±0.24)个月。结论:PBMFH患者单纯手术出现转移多发生于术后5月,根治性手术辅以放化疗出现转移多发生于术后25月。由此可见,术前穿刺活检病理有助于疾病诊断,术后辅助化疗有助于降低PBMFH的复发率和转移率。  相似文献

目的:探讨骨保留型股骨短柄假体行全髋关节置换手术的近期疗效及临床体会。方法:自2013年1月~2015年3月,首次接受人工全髋关节置换术共30例患者(38髋),年龄38~70岁,均采用后外侧入路。通过比较术前、术后髋关节Harris评分、骨性关节炎指数可视化量表(WOMAC),评价手术疗效。结果:术后所有患者均获得随访,最少6月,最长33月,平均19.5月。术后髋关节疼痛均明显好转,随访期内无严重并发症发生。髋关节Harris评分:术前45.3±4.3,术后末次随访94.1±5.4。术后末次随访Harris评分较术前改善明显,差异有统计学意义(P0.05),术后3~4个月所有患者可以全负重行走。1例术中股骨近端骨折,术后愈合良好,未留后遗症。所有病例未发现假体松动或感染。结论:骨保留型股骨短柄假体行全髋关节置换手术近期临床效果满意,无严重并发症。新型短柄假体设计符合人体解剖特征,骨量保留多,术后疗效好,为髋关节置换提供了一种新的选择。  相似文献

Summary Staurosporine is an antibiotic that specifically inhibits protein kinase C. Fourteen staurosporine- and temperature-sensitive (stt) mutants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were isolated and characterized. These mutants were divided into ten complementation groups, and characterized for their cross-sensitivity to K-252a, neomycin, or CaCl2, The STT1 gene was cloned and sequenced. The nucleotide sequence of the STT1 gene revealed that STT1 is the same gene as PKC1. The STT1 gene conferred resistance to staurosporine on wild-type cells, when present on a high copy number plasmid. STT1/stt1::HIS3 diploid cells were more sensitive to staurosporine than STT1/STT1 diploid cells. Analysis of temperature-sensitive stt1 mutants showed that the STT1 gene product functioned in S or G2/M phase. These results suggest that a protein kinase (the STT1 gene product) is one of the essential targets of staurosporine in yeast cells.  相似文献

观察神经梅毒的临床特点,以提高对神经梅毒的诊断与治疗水平。回顾性分析哈尔滨医科大学附属第一医院2005年1月至2010年12月收治的23例神经梅毒患者的临床资料。神经梅毒患者男17例(73.9%),女6例(26.1%),男女比约为2.8∶1;年龄27~71岁,平均年龄43.1岁。本组首发症状:麻痹性痴呆(7例)、精神异常(3例)、急性脑梗死(3例)、癫痫(2例)、脊髓病变(2例)、颅高压(2例)、周围神经损害(2例)、脑神经损害(1例)、无症状性神经梅毒(1例)。23例患者血清及脑脊液快速血浆反应素实验及梅毒螺旋体血凝试验均呈阳性反应。颅脑电子计算机断层扫描(CT)和/或磁共振成像(MRI)检查多表现为额叶、顶叶、颞叶、基底节等多发病变。本组患者经大剂量青霉素治疗后病情有显著改善20例,死亡1例,自动出院2例。神经梅毒的临床表现复杂多样,神经系统各部位均可受累,诊断依靠病史及临床表现、实验室血清及脑脊液梅毒抗体检测,误诊率高,应早期诊断,诊断后应进行规范治疗,早期治疗效果较好。  相似文献

This study measured the effects of Shitei-To (STT), a traditional Chinese Medicine, which is a mixture of extracts from three medicinal herbs, Shitei (SI, Kaki Calyx; calyx of Diospyros kaki L. f.), Shokyo (SK, Zingiberis Rhizoma; rhizome of Zingiber officinale Roscoe) and Choji (CJ, Caryophylli flos; flowerbud of Syzygium aromaticum [L.] Merrill et. Perry), has long been used for the treatment of hiccups in Japan and China, against fully pentylenetetrazol-kindled seizures and on the development of pentylenetetrazol kindling in mice. Repeated administration of STT (3.0 g/kg p.o.) mildly retards the development of pentylenetetrazol-induced kindling in mice. STT also decreased the number of tonic-clonic convulsions resulting from progression kindling. On the other hand, STT had no effect on convulsions in fully pentylenetetrazol-kindled mice. These findings suggest that STT protects against the development of convulsions, and that STT may have therapeutic effects in the prevention of secondarily generalized seizures.  相似文献
