A new sesquiterpene antibiotic, complicatic acid, isolated from cultures of Stereum complicatum (Fr.)Fr. has been shown to be dehydrohirsutic acid C. Hirsutic acid C was also isolated from the same fungus. [2-14C]-MVA was incorporated into both metabolites and complicatic acid has been shown to be formed from hirsutic acid C both in vivo and in vitro.  相似文献

The novel sialic acid 4-O-acetyl-9-O-lactyl-N-acetylneuraminic acid has been identified as a constituent of horse submandibular gland glycoproteins in addition to the already know equine sialic acids, N-acetylneuraminic acid, 4-O-acetyl-N-acetylneuraminic acid, 9-O-acetyl-N-acetylneuraminic acid, 4,9-di-O-acetyl-N-acetylneuraminic acid, N-glycolylneuraminic acid, 4-O-acetyl-N-glycolylneuraminic acidand 9-O-acetyl-N-glycolylneuraminic acid. The structure has been established by combined gas-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.  相似文献

Adouetine-y′ and a new cyclopeptide alkaloid, melofoline, have been isolated from melochia corchorifolia. The latter was characterized mainly from its mass spectrum and hydrolysis products. Melofoline has N,N-dimethyl-β-hydroxyleucine as the terminal amino acid and 2-aminobutyric acid as the ring amino acid, neither of which has been found in the positions before.  相似文献

A new amino acid previously detected in 17 species of Acacia has been isolated from seeds of Acacia angustissima and identified as oxalylalbizziine. These seeds also contain more than 6% dry weight of 2-amino-4-acetylaminobutyric acid, which has not been reported previously in a legume, and lower concentrations of 2,4-diaminobutyric acid.  相似文献

The effects of various compounds on the aerobic stability of silages were evaluated. It has been observed that inoculation of whole-crop maize with homofermentative lactic acid bacteria leads to silages which have low stability against aerobic deterioration, while inoculation with heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria, such as Lactobacillus brevis or Lactobacillus buchneri, increases stability. Acetic acid has been proven to be the sole substance responsible for the increased aerobic stability, and this acid acts as an inhibitor of spoilage organisms. Therefore, stability increases exponentially with acetic acid concentration. Only butyric acid has a similar effect. Other compounds, like lactic acid, 1,2-propanediol, and 1-propanol, have been shown to have no effect, while fructose and mannitol reduce stability.  相似文献

1. The metabolism of iodomethane has been studied after the administration of the compound to rats by subcutaneous injection. 2. The urinary excretion of S-methylcysteine, methylmercapturic acid, methylthioacetic acid and N-(methylthioacetyl)glycine has been demonstrated by paper chromatography. 3. Methylmercapturic acid and N-(methylthioacetyl)glycine have been isolated from the urine of the dosed animals. 4. The reaction of stictic, norstictic and salazinic acids with methanol, ethanol and tert-butanol has been investigated. 8′-O-Methylstictic acid is identical with methylstictic acid from Lobaria oregana. Ingolfdottir's vesuvianic acid from Stereocaulon vesuvianum and Handong's cetrariastrumin from Cetrariastrum nepalensis have been shown to be 8′-O-ethylstictic acid and 8′,9′-di-O-ethylsalazinic acid, respectively, by reaction of stictic and salazinic acids with ethanol.  相似文献

2(S),4(R)-4-(β-d-Galactopyranosyloxy)-4-isobutylglutamic acid (I) has been isolated from the flowers of Reseda odorata, wherein it occurs in substantial quantity. Hydrolysis of I gives d-galactose, 2(S),4(R)-4-hydroxy-4-isobutylglutamic acid (II) and 3(R),5(S)-3-hydroxy-3-isobutyl-2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid (III) and its treatment with nitrous acid yields a galactoside of a non-nitrogenous hydroxy acid lactone (IV). The structures of I and its degradation products are supported by PMR, 13C-NMR and other spectroscopic methods. 13C-NMR spectroscopy of the model compound 2-(β-d-galactopyranosyloxy)isobutyric acid confirmed the structure of the natural product. The S- (or l-) configuration at C(2) in the amino acid moiety of I has been established by the use of the Clough—Lutz—Jirgenson rule and the R-configuration at C(4) of the same unit has been assigned tentatively. I represents the first example of a glycoside of a higher plant amino acid in which the carbohydrate residue is linked to an aliphatic hydroxy group.  相似文献

Prostaglandins (PGs) have been detected in many different plants and certain microorganisms. A few prostaglandin-like compounds have also been shown to occur in plants such as flax,Chromolaena morii, and aquatic sedge; and direct precursors (arachidonic acid, di-homo-γ-linolenic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid) have been detected in a variety of plants and microorganisms, including certain red algae, brown algae, green algae, and saltwater diatoms. Furthermore, arachidonic acid has been found in mosses and a liverwort. It has also been reported that arachidonic acid occurs in certain angiosperms, namely, poplar (Populus balsamifera), wheat germ oil,Aloe vera, andAllium sativum (garlic). In our studies on the possible physiological effects of prostaglandins we found that a PG possibly has an effect on the flowering of the short-day plantPharbitis nil. It has hastened flower formation by 28 days as compared with controls under inductive conditions (short days), and certain inhibitors of PG-biosynthesis inhibited flowering to a greater or lesser extent. In other physiological studies of prostaglandins, it was found that they have an effect on such aspects as GA3-controlled responses in barley endosperm, inhibition of crown gall tumor formation on potato discs, and certain electron-flow reactions in isolated chloroplasts. In corn leaf segments it has an effect on photosynthesis, nucleic acid metabolism, and protein synthesis. The effect on four plant bioassay systems was negligible. It has also been reported that PGs play a role in the regulation of cell membrane permeability.  相似文献

The diterpene acid content in 10 species of Helianthus has been investigated. Ent-12,16-cyclokauranoic acid, isolated from H. annuus, is converted into a series of 12,16-cyclogibberellins by cultures of Gibberella fujikuroi, mutant B1-41a, and 12,16-cyclogibberellins A9, and A12 have been isolated. Ent-12β-acetoxykaurenoic acid and ent-13(S)-angeloxyatisenoic acid have been isolated from H. decapetalus; the metabolism of ent-13(S)-hydroxyatisenoic acid and atisenoic acid by B1-41a is also described.  相似文献

A 2.3-kb PstI-ClaI chromosomal DNA segment, carrying the complete coding region of the glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) structural gene from Escherichia coli K-12, has been sequenced. The usefulness of urea adducts for the fractionation of natural fatty acids has been demonstrated. Stearic acid has been isolated and identified from the fat of Fusarium lini Bolley by purification of the solid fraction obtained from the urea adduct of its fatty acids. The conversion of stearic acid to fatty material with a higher iodine value has provided further evidence for the enzymatic formation of unsaturated fatty acids in Fusarium lini Bolley by means of the action of a fatty acid dehydrogenase system.  相似文献

Analysis of the sialic acids obtained by mild acid hydrolysis of B lymphocytes reveals the presence of N-acetylneuraminic acid and 9-O-acetyl-N-acetylneuraminic acid. For T lymphocytes only N-acetylneuraminic acid has been demonstrated to occur. The applied methods include quantitative colorimetry, thin-layer chromatography and combined gas-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.  相似文献

A subunit of molecular weight 18300 has been separated and isolated from seeds of Brassica campestris L. This subunit was cleaved by using cyanogen bromide, trypsin, Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease and chymotrypsin; the fragments obtained from enzymatlc and chemical cleavages were separated and isolated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and gel filtration. The amino acid analyses were carried out. The complete amino acid sequence of the subunit containing 172 amino acid residues has been established by manual Edman method.  相似文献

A new metabolite, namely 2-acetamidoglucal, has been found in the urine of a patient with sialuria in addition to the metabolites N-acetylneuraminic acid, N-acetylmannosamine, N-acetylglucosamine and N-deoxy-2,3-dehydro-Nacetylneuraminic acid reported earlier. The structure has been identified by mass spectrometry and 360 MHz proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and verified by synthesis. All accumulated compounds fit into the metabolic pathway for the biosynthesis of CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid. Sialuria is discussed in terms of a failure of regulation of UDP-N-acetyl-glucosamine 2-epimerase.  相似文献
