A Check-List of the Species of the Genus Haemoproteus (Apicomplexa,Plasmodiidae)*

SYNOPSIS. A list of the presumably valid named species of the genus Haemoproteus Kruse, 1890 (Apicomplexa, Plasmodiidae) is given. It includes 133 species, 5 varieties and 1 subspecies. One new species is named: H. serini n. sp. for the form in the canary Serinus canarius called H. zuenyoni by Sergent & Sergent (90). The following emendations are made: H. aegyptius for H. cellii var. aegyptius Mohammed, 1958; H. cellii for H. noctuae var. cellii Coatney & Roudabush, 1937; H. hirundinis for H. danilewskii var. hirundinis Sergent & Sergent, 1905; H. tinnunculus for H. danilewskyi var. tinnunculus Wasielewski & Wiilker, 1918; H. crumenius for H. crumenium (Hirst, 1905) Coatney, 1936; H. mathislegeri for H. herodiadis var. mathislegeri Mohammed, 1958; H. nebraskensis for H. noctuae var. nebraskensis Coatney & Roudabush, 1937; H. rileyi for Hoemoproteus rileyi Malkani, 1936; H. sauianae for H. sd-vianae Tendeiro, 1947; H. asturisdussumieri for H. asturis-dussumieri de Mello, 1935 emend. de Mello, 1937; H. xantholemae for H. xantholaemi Zargar, 1945. Of the 133 named species, 114 occur in birds, 16 in reptiles and 3 in amphibia; 14 orders and 47 families of birds are represented. The generic names Halteridium LabbC, 1894, Haemocystidium Castellani & Willey, 1904 and Simondia Garnham, 1966 are considered synonyms of Haemoproteus.     

Blood Parasites of Pekin Robins (Liothrix luteus)*

SYNOPSIS. The Pekin Robin (Liothrix luteus) is a species of babbler (Timaliidae) native to Southeast Asia. Except for Plasmodium tenue, a malaria parasite of the subgenus Novyella and much like P. vaughani, with which they are very commonly infected, these birds seem remarkably free of blood parasites. Of 152 birds examined, 4 harbored Leucocytozoon; no infections with Haemoproteus, trypanosomes, Atoxoplasma, or microfilariae were observed. Blood inoculation from 50 Pekin Robins into canaries revealed 3 P. relictum infections. Experimental inoculation of Pekin Robins with no evidence of prior malarial infection, with 6 species of Plasmodium, P. cathemerium, P. circumflexum, P. elongatum, P. octamerium, P. paranucleophilum, and P. vaughani, gave negative results; evidently the birds have a very unusual resistance to malaria (other than P. tenue). Their insusceptibility to P. vaughani is additional evidence of the validity of P. tenue as a species.

描述了在位于新疆昌吉州境内的南山马鹿(Cervus elaphus)保护区发现的石竹科(Caryophyllaceae)石竹属(Dianthus)植物一新种—南山石竹(Dianthus nanshanicus C.Y.Yang &; L.X.Dong),并描绘了形态图。该新种与瞿麦(Dianthus superbus L.)相近,区别在于: 本新种花冠白色,喉部无丝毛状鳞片,茎单生,瓣片深裂为细条状。雄蕊伸出至花瓣的1/2。花粉圆球形, 外壁具穴状和刺状纹饰。种皮细胞较小近光滑。报道了该种的采集过程、生境以及该种在新疆南天山居群的大小和保护状况,并简单介绍了Dianthus在世界的分布情况。     

中国海南奥利蛛属1新种（蜘蛛目：巨蟹蛛科）

A New Species of the Genus Tylototriton （Urodela： Salamandridae） from Northeastern Hunan Province,China

We describe a new species from the family Salamandridae from northeastern Hunan Province of China based on morphological and molecular genetic evidences.The new species,Tylototriton liuyangensis,is a member of the T.asperrimus group,and shares a number of similarities with T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus.The dorsal surface of the new Tylototriton species is completely black,with nodule-like warts distributed evenly along the lateral margin of dorsal body,and there is no transverse striae between the warts.There are several diagnostic characters of the new species that differ from those of T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus as follows：（1）the interorbital space（IOS）is comparatively wide;（2）there is a bony ridge present on the dorsal head surface,running along the upper eyelids;（3）the space between axilla and groin（AGS）is comparatively large,with the mean male AGS approximately equal to 50%of the snout-vent length（SVL）and the mean female AGS being 53%of SVL;and（4）there is a small genital armature on the anterior angle of labial folds present inside the anal fissure of adult males during the breeding season.The result from the molecular phylogenetic analysis of the genus Tylototriton（including the type specimen of the new species）based on the complete DNA sequence of the mitochondrial ND2 gene（1035 bp）indicated that the new species was similar to T.wenxianensis,T.dabienicus,and T.broadoridgus,but formed an independent clade.This result was consistent with the morphological analysis above,supporting that the Liuyang Population represented a distinct species.

A New Species of the Genus Tor from Yunnan, China (Teleostei: Cyprinidae)

A new species of the subfamily Barbinae, Tor yingjiangensis, is recognized from Yunnan province, China. It can be distinguished from other Tor species by the following combination of characters: last simple dorsal-fin ray osseous and non-serrated; no forward directed predorsal procumbent spine; head length considerably longer than body depth; no tubercles on the snout or sides of the face; 18–20 gill rakers on the outside of first gill arch; 24–26 lateral line scales; median lobe of lower lip short, its posterior margin truncate, not extending to the vertical across the inner corners of the mouth; and the condition of the lower lip consistent in individuals of different sizes. The new species has been misidentified previously as Tor putitora (Hamilton, F. 1822. An account of the fishes found in the River Ganges and its Branches. Edinburgh & London. 405 pp), which occurs in the Ganges and Indus River basins. The new species can easily be distinguished from T. putitora by having 3–3.5 (vs. 2.5) scales from lateral line to pelvic-fin origin, shorter caudal peduncle length (13.0% vs. 17.2% of standard length), lesser body depth (26.4% vs. 24.0% of standard length) and longer caudal peduncle depth (12.0% vs. 10.9% of standard length), no longitudinal stripe present along side of body, and eyes visible in ventral view of head.

Revision and Checklist of the Species (Other Than Lecudina) of the Aseptate Gregarine Family Lecudinidae*

SYNOPSIS. A checklist is given of the 89 named species of the gregarine family Lecudininae, exclusive of the 42 named species of the genus Lecudina (phylum Apicomplexa. class Sporozoea, subclass Gregarinia, order Eugregarinida, suborder Aseptatina). The list includes also the synonyms, host names, locations in hosts, known geographic distributions of the species, as well as key references. Another list is given of synonyms, lapsi calami, nomina nuda, etc., associated with the genera. A new genus, Paraophioidina g. n., with type species, Paraophioidina haeckeli (Mingazzini, 1891) and a new species, Lankesteria ormieresi sp. n., are described. There are also new combinations in the genera Bhatiella, Ancora, Monocystella, Ascocystis, and Paraophioidina.     

中国兰科石豆兰属一新种

描述了中国石豆兰属Bulbophyllum一新种——天贵卷瓣兰(Bulbophyllum tianguii K.Y.Lang & D.Luo),并提供墨线图。该种产于广西乐业县,与富宁卷瓣兰B.funingense Z.H.Tsi & S.C.Chen外貌颇相似,但中萼片先端渐尖并具3 mm长的芒,侧萼片宽4~4.5 mm,花瓣先端渐尖并具1.5 mm长的芒,唇盘具2条肉质、具缘毛的纵脊,可与后者明显区别。     

中国篦齿蕨属植物（水龙骨科）一新组合种

根据叶绿体rbcL和rps4-trnS序列及叶脉类型、孢子纹饰特征等证据,栗柄水龙骨Polypodiodes microrhizoma（C.B.Clarke ex Baker）Ching属于篦齿蕨属Metapolypodium Ching的范畴,因此将其组合到篦齿蕨属MetapolypodiumChing之下更合理。文中报道了该新组合种,即栗柄篦齿蕨Metapolypodium microrhizomum（C.B.Clarke ex Baker）S.G.Lu et L.H.Yang。

A species of the genus Clematis (Ranunculaceae), Cmaguanensis, is described as new from Yunnan Province, China, and the diagnostic differences between it and its putative close ally are given.     

云南乳菇属贸易种的分类学研究

报道了云南省农贸市场上乳菇属的１３个贸易种,其中包含１个存疑种的１个中国新记录种绒毛乳菇（新拟）Ｌ．ｅｃｈｉｎａｔｕｓ Ｔｈｉｅｒｓ;按照Ｓｉｎｇｅｒ系统（１９６２）对这１３个种进行了分组并进行了必要的描述和讨论;同时对国内文献记载的色奶乳菇组（Ｓｅｃｔ．Ｄａｐｅｔｅｓ）的１０个种进行了详细的比较以澄清它们之间分类学问题。     

中国蚌螨属水螨1新种记述

记述了从我国浙江省淡水蚌中采到的蚌螨科Unionicolidae水螨1新种,壮肢蚌螨Unionicola（Anodontinatax）ischyropalpus sp．nov．,模式标本保存于南昌大学生物科学工程系。     

Kudoa cerebralis sp. n. (Myxosporidea,Chloromyxidae) from the Striped Bass,Morone saxatilis (Walbaum)*

Kudoa cerebralis sp. n. is described from connective tissue of the nervous system in the striped bass, Morone saxatilis (Walbaum), from the southern Chesapeake Bay area. This is the first time the genus Kudoa has been found in association with the nervous system. The polar view mean diameter of the spores was 7.0 μm and the polar capsule mean length was 3.7 μm.
