The trunk wood of Licaria macrophylla (A. C. Smith) Kosterm. From the neutral fraction of the methanolic extract of the fruit of Alpinia oxyphylla, a new pungent compound has been isolated, and is shown to be 1-(4′-hydroxy-3′-methoxyphenyl)-7-phenyl-3-heptanone. This compound is 125 times more pungent than zingerone.  相似文献

Exposure of DNA to ultraviolet radiation results in the formation of a number of photoproducts, including thymine photodimers. A sensitive and selective analytical method based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and fluorescent labeling with 4-bromomethyl-7-methoxycoumarin has been developed to quantify both thymine and thymine photodimers. The identity of the thymine and thymine dimer derivatives were determined by HPLC–electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The derivatization reaction yield was maximized by optimizing several reaction variables. The limit of detection for HPLC method was 1.0 pmol thymine and 0.4 pmol thymine dimer for S/N=3.  相似文献

From the leaves of Myrica gale 2′,4′-dihydroxy-6′-methoxy-3′,5′-dimethylchalcone has been isolated. The fruits yielded 2′-hydroxy-4′,6′-dimethoxy-3′-methyldihydrochalcone. The constitutions were deduced from spectroscopic data and confirmed by synthesis.  相似文献

A new optically active flavan aglucone, 7-hydroxy-3′,4′-methylenedioxyflavan, and its 7-glucoside have been isolated from the bulbs of Zephyranthes flava, collected at flowering. Additionally, two known flavans, 7,4′-dihydroxy-3′-methoxyflavan and 7-methoxy-2′-hydroxy-4′,5′-methylenedioxyflavan, have been isolated for the first time from this species. The structures of these flavans have been established by comprehensive analyses (UV, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, [α]D) of the compounds and their acetates, and also by chemical correlation.  相似文献

To determine the catalytic site of Streptomyces chromofuscus phospholipase D (PLD), which lacks an HKD motif, we examined the effects of inhibitors on the hydrolytic activity of the PLD by comparing it with cabbage and Streptomyces PLDs, which have two HKD motifs. We showed that dichloro-(2,2′:6′,2"-terpyridine)-platinum (II) dihydrate, a His- and Cys-directed chemical modifier, had inhibitory effects on the activities of all types of PLD examined. On the other hand, N -ethylmaleimide, a thiol-directed modifier had no such effects on PLD activity. These results suggest that the His residue plays an important role in the activity of Streptomyces chromofuscus PLD.  相似文献

Synthesis of phosphoramidate protides of carbocyclic D‐ and L‐2′,3′‐dideoxy‐2′,3′‐didehydro‐7‐deazaadenosine by treatment of the nucleoside with phosphorochloridates in the presence of pyridine and t‐BuMgCl is described. Several of these protides showed significantly improved antiviral potency over the parent nucleosides against both HIV and HBV.  相似文献

Thylakoids isolated from the cyanobacterium Anabaenacylindrica exhibit Photosystem II activity. Photosynthetic electron transfer from water to ferricyanide and to 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol is inhibited by 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-N-N′-dimethyl urea. Diphenylcarbazide stimulates ferricyanide and 2,6-dichlorphenolindophenol photoreduction, whilst inhibiting oxygen evolution. Diphenylcarbazide-supported Photosystem II activity is completely insensitive to 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-N-N′-dimethyl urea, indicating that the site of action of this inhibitor lies on the donor side of Photosystem II in A.cylindrica, before the site of electron donation by diphenylcarbazide.  相似文献

Droplet counter-current chromatographic separation and subsequent TLC demonstrated the existence of at least 14 phenolics in the leaves of Spinacia oleracea. Three have now been isolated and identified, respectively, as the 4′-glucuronides of 5,7,4'-trihydroxy-3,6,3′-trimethoxyflavone (jaceidin), 5,3′,4′-trihydroxy-3-methoxy-6:7-methylene-dioxyflavone and 5,4′-dihydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-6:7-methylenedioxyflavone.  相似文献

Three acylated flavonol diglucosides, kaempferol 3-O-β-(6″-O-E-p-coumaroylglucoside)-7-O-β-glucoside; quercetin 3-O-β-(6″-O-E-p-coumaroylglucoside)-7-O-β-glucoside; isorhamnetin 3-O-β-(6″-O-E-p-coumaroylglucoside)-7-O-β-glucoside were isolated from the whole plant aqueous alcohol extract of Lotus polyphyllos. The known 3,7-di-O-glucosides of the aglycones kaempferol, quercetin and isorhamnetin were also characterized. All structures were established on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence.  相似文献
