During the period 1997–2007, a comprehensive study of the occurrence and distribution of Phytophthora species was conducted on Hainan Island of South China. To date, 14 species of Phytophthora have been recovered and their distribution determined. Phytophthora nicotianae ( =P. parasitica ) is the most important species attacking a wide variety of crops, followed by Phytophthora capsici and Phytophthora citrophthora . In contrast to Phytophthora colocasiae attacking taro leaves throughout the entire island, Phytophthora cyperi was found only once on Digitaria ciliaris in Danzhou. It is of interest to note that Phytophthora heveae, Phytophthora katsurae and Phytophthora insolita are commonly found in forest soil/water of protected mountains without causing any plant diseases. Although Phytophthora species are usually terrestrial or found in fresh water, one isolate of Phytophthora resembling closely the asexual isolates of P. insolita in Hainan was obtained from decaying Rhizophora leaves submerged in seawater. An unidentified Phytophthora species producing non-papillate; internally proliferating sporangia was isolated from the soil in which Ceriops tagel and Bruguiera serangula were growing in a salt water shrimp farm.  相似文献

综述了中国大陆腐霉属的研究进展,内容包括腐霉属菌物的发生、分布、分类鉴定、致病性、所致植物病害防治及腐霉的利用等方面.至今,中国已报道的腐霉属菌物有64个种,其中有13个种作为世界新种进行了描述,这13个新种分别为:顶生腐霉Pythium acrogynum,孤雌腐霉P.amasculinum,百色腐霉P.baisense,北方腐霉P.boreale,短枝腐霉P.breve,壁合腐霉P.connatum,镰雄腐霉P.falciforme,贵阳腐霉P.guiyangense,广西腐霉P.guangxiense,下雄腐霉P.hypoandrum,昆明腐霉P.kummingense,南宁腐霉尸nanningense和中国腐霉P.sinensis.瓜果腐霉Pythium aphanidermatum为优势种,在全国普遍引起多种植物严重的猝倒病和根、茎、叶、果腐烂病.其中,大多数腐霉种对植物具有致病性,44个种寄生植物,1个种:紫菜腐霉P.porphyrae寄生红藻和紫菜,2个种:卡地腐霉P.carolinianum 和贵阳腐霉P.guiyangense寄生蚊子幼虫,2个种:努氏腐霉P.nunn和寡雄腐霉P.oligandrum 是真菌的重寄生菌.相比之下,台湾报道的腐霉种有48种(其中新种1个:四季腐霉P.sukuiense),海南报道的腐霉种有28种.对中国大陆腐霉属的研究前景也进行了讨论.  相似文献

The genus Pythium, with slightly over 280 described species, has been classified traditionally with other filamentous, coenocytic, sporangia-producing fungi as “Phycomyetes”. However, with recent advances in chemical, ultrastructural and molecular studies, Pythium spp. are now considered as “fungus-like organisms” or “pseudo-fungi” and are placed in the Kingdom Chromista or Kingdom Straminopila, distinct from the true fungi of the Kingdom Fungi or Kingdom Mycota. They are widely distributed throughout the world as soil saprophytes or plant pathogens. Because of the warm moist maritime climate, Taiwan, China, is especially rich in Pythium species. To date, 48 species of Pythium have been reported from Taiwan, China, with the dominant species being Py. vexans, Py. spinosum, Py. splendens, Py. aphanidermatum, Py. dissotocum and Py. acanthicum. There is no definite geographical distribution of Pythium spp. in Taiwan, China. Twenty nine species of Pythium have proven to be plant pathogens attacking a wide variety of woody and herbaceous plants primarily causing pre- and post-emergence seedling damping-off, root rot, stem rot and rotting of fruits, tubers and ginger rhizomes, resulting in serious economic losses. The most important plant pathogenic species include Py. aphanidermatum and Py. Myriotylum, which are most active during the hot and wet summer months; whereas Py. splendens, Py. spinosum, Py. ultimum and Py. irregulare cause the greatest damage in the cool winter. Most Pythium spp. are non-specific pathogens, infecting mainly juvenile or succulent tissues. This review attempts to assess the taxonomic position of the genus Pythium and provide details of the historical development of the study of Pythium as pathogens in Taiwan, China, causing diseases of sugarcane, trees, vegetables, fruits, specialty crops and flowering plants, as well as measures to control these diseases. Of special note is the introduction of the S-H mixture which, when used as soil amendment, effectively controls many soil-borne Pythium diseases during the early stages of plant growth. The diversity of Pythium species in Taiwan, China, is discussed in comparison with the situation in the mainland of China and suggestions are made to fully utilize Pythium spp. as agents for biological control, in industry and medicine.  相似文献

Safflower seedlings were used to discriminate two morphologically similar species of Phytophthora namely P. melonis and P. drechsleri . All isolates of P. melonis from different sources could not infect safflower seedlings under high inoculum potential whereas all isolates of P. drechsleri from various hosts attacked safflower within a short period. Of 31 authentic Phytophthora species inoculated to safflower seedlings only seven species including Phytophthora asparagi , Phytophthora cactorum , Phytophthora cryptogea , Phytophthora drechsleri , Phytophthora erythroseptica , Phytophthora palmivora and Phytophthora quercina caused hypocotyls infection. All cucurbit isolates of Phytophthora from different parts of Iran and one from China could not infect safflower seedlings and were identified as P. melonis which had been confirmed previously by molecular analysis.  相似文献

Phytophthora rot, caused by Phytophthora sojae, is one of the most damaging diseases of soybean (Glycine max) worldwide. This disease can be difficult to diagnose and other Phytophthora species can infect soybean. Accurate diagnosis is important for management of Phytophthora rot. The objective of this study was to evaluate polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods for rapid and specific detection of P. sojae and diagnosis of Phytophthora rot. PCR assays using two sets of primers (PS and PSOJ) that target the ITS region were evaluated for specificity and sensitivity to P. sojae. Genomic DNA extracted from 11 species of Phytophthora and 19 other species of fungal and oomycete pathogens were used to test the specificity of each primer set. The previously published PS primers amplified DNA from P.?sojae and from four other Phytophthora species using conventional PCR, indicating they are not specific for P. sojae. The new PSOJ primers amplified DNA only from P. sojae using conventional and real-time PCR and not from Phytophthora sansomeana, which has been found in soybean production areas, indicating that they are specific for P. sojae. The PSOJ primers were also used to detect P. sojae in diseased soybean tissue and infested soil. The PCR assays based on the PSOJ primers are specific, rapid, and sensitive tools for the detection of P. sojae.  相似文献

Oomycetes from the genus Phytophthora are fungus-like plant pathogens that are devastating for agriculture and natural ecosystems. Due to their particular physiological characteristics, no efficient treatments against diseases caused by these microorganisms are presently available. To develop such treatments, it appears essential to dissect the molecular mechanisms that determine the interaction between Phytophthora species and host plants. Available data are scarce, and genomic approaches were mainly developed for the two species, Phytophthora infestans and Phytophthora sojae. However, these two species are exceptions from, rather than representative species for, the genus. P. infestans is a foliar pathogen, and P. sojae infects a narrow range of host plants, while the majority of Phytophthora species are quite unselective, root-infecting pathogens. To represent this majority, Phytophthora parasitica emerges as a model for the genus, and genomic resources for analyzing its interaction with plants are developing. The aim of this review is to assemble current knowledge on cytological and molecular processes that are underlying plant-pathogen interactions involving Phytophthora species and in particular P. parasitica, and to place them into the context of a hypothetical scheme of co-evolution between the pathogen and the host.  相似文献

Phytophthora alni ssp. alni is an interspecific hybrid oomycete causing a large‐scale decay of alders throughout Europe. In this study we developed a set of 10 microsatellite markers that shows promise for population studies and for studying hybridization events between the parental species of the hybrid. Moreover, the genotype and the ploidy of the different subspecies of P. alni might be inferred from the quantitative ratio of amplified genome‐specific alleles. Nine primer pairs cross amplified with the related species Phytophthora cambivora and Phytophthora fragariae and yielded distinct alleles.  相似文献

During the last decade, typical symptoms of Phytophthora diseases were observed in beech stands of several European countries. The main symptoms were the presence of bleeding cankers on the stem, a low crown density as well as the yellowing of foliage and the small size of leaves. Several species of Phytophthora, such as Phytophthora citricola, P. cambivora and P. cactorum, were reported as the causal agents. In order to evaluate the implication of the different Phytophthora species in beech decline in the southern part of Belgium (Wallonia), a monitoring was undertaken with the help of managers of public and private forests. Phytophthora strains isolated from beech of different stands as well as from soil were characterized through morphological and molecular analyses (PCR-RFLP of ITS). All the isolated strains were identified as P. cambivora, except for one strain whose identification is ongoing. Molecular analysis was also directly applied to necrosed tissues of bleeding beeches and enabled the detection of additional cases. All positive cases exhibited a profile characteristic of the species P. cambivora, except for one of the sampled trees showing a different Phytophthora profile also corresponding to the unidentified isolated strain. Identification of the Phytophthora species linked to this different RFLP profile is also ongoing. Both complementation types (A1 and A2) of P. cambivora were identified, sometimes in the same sampling site. Ornamented oogonia characteristic of this species were produced by pairing A1 and A2 strains isolated from the same site.  相似文献

The diseases Phytophthor a crown and root rot consist of the most important problems in cherry cultivation. In this study, the susceptibility of 30 cherry genotypes to Phytophthora cactorum , P. citrophthora, P. parasitica and P. citricola was evaluated by using excised twig assay, excised shoot method and stem inoculation method. The results showed that all cherry genotypes tested were susceptible to all Phytophthora isolates used. Phytophthora parasitica and P. citrophthora were the most aggressive species. Host specificity of the Phytophthora isolates used in this study was not found although these isolates were from different plant species. In conclusion, because none of the cherry genotype showed a level of resistance to these pathogens, caution should be taken when these genotypes are used in locations, where these diseases are endemic.  相似文献

台湾坡天牛一般随着木制品及包装制品进行远距离传播入境。目前我国台湾地区和日本有分布,在我国大陆地区尚未见该虫的发生报道。2019年5月凭祥口岸从来自越南的相思木板上截获了台湾坡天牛,为我国大陆首次截获。通过显微形态特征的观察和测量进行台湾坡天牛种类鉴定。台湾坡天牛与近似种的主要区别:其鞘翅基部具明显的黑褐色宽横带。通过入侵可能性分析,来自我国台湾地区、日本的台湾坡天牛入侵我国大陆地区的可能性很大。台湾坡天牛在我国广东、广西、福建等地区定殖和扩散风险很大。一旦传入我国,将对我国的农林安全造成巨大威胁,各口岸应对进境的木制品及包装加强检验检疫。  相似文献

Ticks are known as vectors of several pathogens causing various human and animal diseases including Lyme borreliosis, tick-borne encephalitis, and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. While China is known to have more than 100 tick species well distributed over the country, our knowledge on the likely distribution of ticks in the future remains very limited, which hinders the prevention and control of the risk of tick-borne diseases. In this study, we selected four representative tick species which have different regional distribution foci in mainland China. i.e., Dermacentor marginatus, Dermacentor silvarum, Haemaphysalis longicornis and Ixodes granulatus. We used the MaxEnt model to identify the key environmental factors of tick occurrence and map their potential distributions in 2050 under four combined climate and socioeconomic scenarios (i.e., SSP1-RCP2.6, SSP2-RCP4.5, SSP3-RCP7.0 and SSP5-RCP8.5). We found that the extent of the urban fabric, cropland and forest, temperature annual range and precipitation of the driest month were the main determinants of the potential distributions of the four tick species. Under the combined scenarios, with climate warming, the potential distributions of ticks shifted to further north in China. Due to a decrease in the extent of forest, the distribution probability of ticks declined in central and southern China. In contrast with previous findings on an estimated amplification of tick distribution probability under the extreme emission scenario (RCP8.5), our studies projected an overall reduction in the distribution probability under RCP8.5, owing to an expected effect of land use. Our results could provide new data to help identify the emerging risk areas, with amplifying suitability for tick occurrence, for the prevention and control of tick-borne zoonoses in mainland China. Future directions are suggested towards improved quantity and quality of the tick occurrence database, comprehensiveness of factors and integration of different modelling approaches, and capability to model pathogen spillover at the human-tick interface.  相似文献

Variation among 39 isolates of Phytophthora of six morphological species (P. citrophthora. P. parasitka, P. capsici, P. palmivora and P. meadii. from rubber and citrus trees, and P. colocasiae from taro) was studied using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. Ten randomly-chosen 10-mer primers were used. Generally, the banding patterns were similar within species and different between species, but no one primer was able to distinguish all six species from one another. Cluster analysis on pooled data from all the primers gave six groups of isolates corresponding to the six morphological species. The group corresponding to P. citrophthora was divided further into subgroups that were related to host species and geographical location. This work confirmed the existing morphological classification of Phytophthora isolates from rubber and citrus trees in tropical China and showed the validity of using RAPDs to study the taxonomy of Phytophthora.  相似文献

Due to their significant economic and environmental impact, there has been increasing interest in Phytophthora genetics and genomics, culminating in the recent release of three complete genome sequences (P. ramorum, P. sojae, and P. infestans). In this study, genome and other large sequence databases were used to identify over 225 potential genetic markers for phylogenetic analyses. Here, we present a genus-wide phylogeny for 82 Phytophthora species using seven of the most informative loci (approximately 8700 nucleotide sites). Our results support the division of the genus into 10 well-supported clades. The relationships among these clades were rigorously evaluated using a number of phylogenetic methods. This is the most comprehensive study of Phytophthora relationships to date, and many newly discovered species have been included. A more resolved phylogeny of Phytophthora species will allow for better interpretations of the overall evolutionary history of the genus.  相似文献

When electrophoretic profiles of native proteins from vegetative mycelia ofPhytophthora palmivora, Phytophthora capsici and Phytophthora citrophthora causing black pod disease of cocoa in India were compared on a single Polyacrylamide gel, the isolates of same species were readily distinguished both qualitatively by visual similarity in banding patterns and quantitatively by calculating similarity coefficients. Similarity coefficients were generally much higher between isolates within a species than between isolates of different species. The dendrograms obtained after unweighted pair grouping with arithmetic averaging cluster analysis, revealed that all the isolates ofPhytophthora capsici were highly homogenous and formed a single cluster. The isolates ofPhytophthora citrophthora were resolved into two electrophoretic types which were clustered into two distinct sub groups.Phytophthora palmivora formed a separate group. Thus, the results reveal that polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis can be used successfully in distinguishing species and sub groups within a species ofPhytophthora encountered on cocoa. The Chinese water deer (Hydropotes inermis inermis) is endemic to China. Historically, the species was widely distributed, but now, habitat loss and poaching have reduced its range and number drastically. In order to provide useful information for its conservation, we have investigated the genetic diversity and population structure of the Chinese water deer by analyzing the 403 bp fragment of the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region (D-loop). Eighteen different haplotypes were detected in 40 samples. Overall, Chinese water deer have a relatively high-genetic diversity compared to other rare cervid species, with a haplotype diversity of 0.923±0.025 and nucleotide diversity of 1.318 ± 0.146%. No obvious phylogenetic structure among haplotypes was found for samples of different origin. An analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed significant differentiation between the Zhoushan and the mainland population (FST= 0.088, P < 0.001; Φ ST = 0.075, P = 0.043), which suggests that exchanges of individuals between Zhoushan and the mainland should be avoided. We also recommend that a breeding center be set up for the mainland population.  相似文献
