The Iranian species in the Chrysis pulchella and C. varidens species groups are investigated. Six species are recognized, two of which are described for the first time: Chrysis gamberoonensis Farhad, Rosa and Talebi sp. nov. and Chrysis brunneamarginata Farhad, Rosa and Talebi sp. nov.. Chrysis gamberoonensis Farhad, Rosa and Talebi sp. nov. belongs to the C. pulchella group and is recognizable within this species group by its unique blue body coloration, scattered mesosoma punctures, polished pit row with elongated pits, and a small median tooth on the lateral edge of metasomal tergum 3. Chrysis brunneamarginata Farhad, Rosa and Talebi sp. nov. belongs to the C. varidens group and is recognizable by the usually colorless apical rim of metasomal tergum 3, and the unique shape of the anterior corners of the scutellum which are enlarged, thickened and directed backward covering the axillary trough. Dichotomous keys and distributional data for Iranian species included in these species groups are provided. Chrysis schwarzi Linsenmaier, 1968 is raised to species rank. The number of Iranian Chrysis species and subspecies is raised to 122.www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:F419F860-3B90-4679-9A19-2CF5C255AE6B 相似文献

A new species of Mylabris of the nominate subgenus is described and figured. This species is apparently endemic to the south-eastern Iranian province of Kerman and seems to be phenetically very distinct from all other species of this subgenus, primarily because of the unique elytral pattern. A key to the species of the nominate subgenus distributed in Iran is also presented. 相似文献

A new species of galumnid mite (Acari: Oribatida: Galumnidae), Pergalumna persica sp. n., is described from Fars province, southern Iran. The new species is characterised by a pointed rostrum, minute interlamellar setae, medium long, setiform sensilla, with finely barbed, slightly dilated head, complete dorsosejugal suture, large, nearly elongate-triangular areae porosae Aa, absence of median pore, and large body size. 相似文献

Six species of the genus Mocyta Mulsant & Rey are reported from Canada: Mocyta
amblystegii (Brundin), Mocyta
breviuscula (Mäklin), Mocyta
discreta (Casey), Mocyta
fungi (Gravenhorst), Mocyta
luteola (Erichson), and Mocyta
sphagnorum Klimaszewski & Webster, sp. n. New provincial and state records include: Mocyta
breviuscula – Saskatchewan and Oregon; Mocyta
discreta – Quebec, Ontario and Saskatchewan; Mocyta
luteola – New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Massachusetts and Minnesota; and Mocyta
fungi – Saskatchewan. Mocyta
sphagnorum is described from eastern Canada from specimens captured in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario. Mocyta
negligens Mulsant and Rey, a native European species suspected of occurring in Canada, is excluded from the Nearctic fauna based on comparison of European types with similarly coloured Canadian specimens, which are now identified as Mocyta
luteola. The European species, Mocyta
gilvicollis (Scheerpeltz), is synonymized with another European nominal species, Mocyta
negligens, based on examination of type material of the two species. Lectotypes are designated for Eurypronota
discreta Casey, Atheta
gilvicollis Scheerpeltz, Homalota
luteola Erichson, Colpodota
negligens Mulsant and Rey, Acrotona
prudens Casey and Dolosota
redundans Casey. The latter species is here synonymized with Mocyta
luteola. A review of the six Nearctic species is provided, including keys to species and closely related genera, colour habitus images, images of genitalia, biological information and maps of their distributions in Canada. 相似文献

Based on a comparative molecular study of scarab chafers we matched adult and larval instars to identify and describe unknown larvae of Sericini. Here, we use for the first time a two‐fold DNA taxonomy approach based on: (i) mitochondrial and nuclear DNA markers of a local sample (from Nepal) of adults and larvae, in combination with character and tree‐based species delimitation methods; and (ii) a global search of cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (cox1) sequences with GenBank data. In the latter analysis we used a sequence of a specimen that resulted in the first analysis conspecific with the larvae of Maladera affinis (Blanchard) as the query sequence in GenBank, and checked in a minimum evolution tree whether larva–adult matches from the local approach were altered through interference with other taxa of the worldwide database. Both approaches unambiguously identified the unknown larvae as belonging to M. affinis and Maladera cardoni (Brenske). Based on this robust framework of taxonomic identification we could associate names to the larval morphology of the third larval instar of these two Nepalese Maladera species, which are both known for their economical importance in agriculture. They are described here in detail and are compared with known related taxa, especially with Maladera castanea (Arrow). 相似文献

A hitherto unknown species of the dipteran family Ulidiidae is described from Iran and Turkey: Herina rajabii n. sp. is similar to H. gyrans (Loew) and H. tristis (Meigen), differing from them by the yellowish-brown scutellum and presence of a very strong subcercal prensiseta on the surstylus. A key to the species of the Herina tristis-group of species is provided. 相似文献

Orthoconic cephalopods from the Ordovician Katkoyeh Formation at Banestan, Kerman Province, Iran, comprise a single species named as Sactorthoceras banestanensis Evans nov. sp. Associated faunas suggest close palaeobiogeographical linkage with other regions of north peri-Gondwana, notably Morocco and Bohemia (Perunica), while Sactorthoceras itself is also indicative of relationships with Baltica and the Sino-Korean Plate. 相似文献
