The chemical components of different genera and species of Taxaceac have been analyzed in order to provide the data for discussion of the systematic position of this family. A characteristic component kayaflavone from the leaves of Torreya grandis cv. ‘Merrillii' has been reported in our previous paper. Recently we have obtained also a new diterpene torreyagrandate from the leaves of this species. The present paper deals with our preliminary study on essential oil composition of the leaves in the same species. 26 components have been identified. Three of them, limonene, α-pinene and δ-3-carene, are the main ones, with their contents being 44.24%, 20.75% and 4% respectively. The essential oilalso contains torreyol which is a characteristiccomponent in this species.  相似文献

Fourteen compounds were isolated from the leaves of Pseudotaxus chienii (Cheng) Cheng which is uniquely indigenous to China, and their structures were identified mainly by spectrum analyses. Among them, 13 known compounds were determined as: 2-guaiacylpropane-1, 3-diol (1), vanillic acid (2), 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy cinnamic acid (3). 3. 5-dimethoxy-phenol (4), taxicatin (5), 5-oxymaltol (6), quercetin-3-rhamnoside (7), (±)-catechin (8), ecdysterone (9), β-sitosterol (10), D-glucose (11), (±)-10-nonacosanol (12) and octacosanoic acid (13). All these compounds butβ-sitosterol were isolated from this plant for the first time. Compounds 1 and 6 have never been reported in plant kingdom. Another compound was tentatively established as a new compound, named pseudotaxlactone (14).  相似文献

白豆杉属Pseudotaxus隶属红豆杉科Taxaceae。该属仅一种,即白豆杉Pseudotaxus chienii(Cheng)Cheng,是我国特有单种属植物之一。关于白豆杉属的系统位置,多年来一直有不同的看法。笔者通过对白豆杉化学成分的研究结果与文献报道的红豆杉科各属植物中存在的生物碱、萜类、黄酮,木脂素、葸醌、甾体、芳香族化合物、精油及其它类成分对照分析,发现除一些基本的次生代谢产物,如甾体、芳香族化合物等有些相似外,其他成分的差别很大,白豆杉属植物中未发现在红豆杉属各种植物中广泛分布的紫杉烷和双共酮类化合物。又结合国外学者在植物的花粉形态、种子蛋白和针叶过氧化酶谱,以及一些特征成分,如双黄酮化合物在各属代表种中的分布等方面的研究结果和观点,对白豆杉属的系统位置进行了初步探讨,认为将其从红豆杉族中分出,单独成立白豆杉族Pseudotaxeae较为合适。  相似文献

The major aromatic components of the essential leaf oil of the New Zealand lemonwood tree Pittosporum eugenioides are octyl acetate (33%), terpinen-4-ol (13%), decanol (6%) and (Z)-hex-3-enol (5%). These products are responsible for the characteristic Citrus-like aroma which is detected when the leaves are crushed, a phenomenon which provided the species with its common name. The major component of the oil, octyl acetate is also an abundant component of the essential oils of Heracleum and Boswellia species.  相似文献

The composition of the essential oil of the fruits, leaves and stems of Daucus glaber Forssk has been studied by GC/MS. It was found that, the essential oil of the fruits consists of monoterpene hydrocarbons (limonene and sylvestrene are the majors) and phenylpropanoids (elemicin is the major). Sylvestrene has never been reported before in the essential oil of any Daucus species. The study of the essential oil of the leaves revealed the presence of monoterpene hydrocarbons; limonene and gamma-terpinene are the majors and a small amount of sylvestrene. The essential oil of stems consists of monoterpene hydrocarbons (gamma-terpinene is the major), terpene alcohols (mainly 4-terpineol) and phenylpropanoids (myristicin and elemicin are the majors). It is interesting that, the essential oil of the fruits is free from any oxygenated terpenes while that of the stems is free from limonene and sylvestrene which are present in the essential oil of the fruits and leaves in fairly large amounts The essential oil of the fruits, leaves and stems shows broad antimicrobial activities against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. In addition, the volatile oil of the stem, particularly, show activities against Candida albicans (yeast). Also, the prepared oils have variable cytotoxic activities with LC50 21.52, 36.01 and 42.34 microg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

The composition of the hydrodistilled essential oils from the fruits and leaves of Thuja orientalis L. grown in Iran was analyzed by GC/MS. Nineteen and twenty-eight compounds have been identified in the volatile oils of the fruit and leaf, respectively. While the fruit oil contained alpha-pinene (52.4%), delta-3-carene (14.2%), alpha-cedrol (6.5%) and beta-phellandrene (5.1%), the leaf oil contained alpha-pinene (21.9%), alpha-cedrol (20.3%), delta-3-carene (10.5%) and limonen (7.2%) as the main components.  相似文献

Genus Pseudotaxus distributed in the Zhejiang, Hunan, Jiangxi etc. is endemic to China. Only one species is envolved in the genus. A preliminary investigation on chemical components of Pseudotaxus is reported in the present paper. Three crystalline substances have been isolated from trunk of P. chienii grown in Zhejiang and have been identified as llβ, 22-dihydroxyhopane (Ⅰ), β-sitosterol (Ⅱ) and tsugalacton (Ⅲ) respectively by chemical and spectral (IR, NMR, MS) analyses.  相似文献

The Lamiaceae is rich in aromatic plant species. Most of these species produce and store essential oils in specialised epidermal oil glands, which are responsible for their specific flavour. Two types of glands producing essential oil and possessing different morphological structure can be found in Salvia sclarea : peltate and capitate glands. The content of single oil glands from different positions on the plant (corolla, calyx and leaf) were sampled using an SPME fibre and analysed by gas chromatography in order to study variability of the essential oil composition. It was found that the composition of terpenoids is quite variable within an individual plant. Capitate oil glands mainly produce three essential oil compounds: the monoterpenes linalool and linalyl acetate, and the diterpene sclareol. Peltate oil glands, however, accumulate noticeable concentrations of sesquiterpenes and an unknown compound (m/z = 354). Furthermore, the oil composition varies within each gland type according to the plant organ. Linalool and linalyl acetate are characteristic substances of flowers, whereas the sesquiterpenes occur in higher proportions in leaves. Even within one gland type on a single leaf, the chemical variability is exceedingly high.  相似文献

This paper reports chemical constituents of the essential oil from the leaves of Cinnamomum tenuipilis Kosterm. By applying PGC, GC/MS/DS, IR and other methods, 12 components have been identified. These components are: 3-hexen-l-ol, ocimene, L-linalool, geraniol, α-copaene, β-caryophyllene, t-β-farnesene, α-humulene, δ-cadinene, (Z)-β-farnesene, diphenylamine, farneol etc. The total content of the above 12 compounds is 99.94 percent of the essential oil. Citronella oil is the main product of Java citronella grass (Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt) rich in geraniol and citronellol, widely used in mosquito repellents and perfumeries. The age of the plant plays a key role in oil composition and its yield such that young leaves have lesser oil content than the mature leaves. Also, a remarkable difference between fresh and dried leaves regarding oil yield is observed. The various methods of extracting essential oils from citronella grass with respect to yield (%) were studied. Average percent yield in the manual extraction and hydro-distillation procedure was 0.8 and 1 % respectively, which was better as compared to steam distilled oil (0.7 %). The chromatographic analysis of essential oils with respect to standards geraniol and citronellol were studied by high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) with n-hexane and ethyl acetate (3:2) as mobile phase followed by its separation on plates. The developed plates showed geraniol, citronellol and citronellal as major bands. The analysis of all extracted oil samples by means of electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) in the positive ion mode showed rapid mass fingerprints of constituents present in the samples according to the observed mass of standards. Furthermore, the analysis of vibrational spectra was accomplished with Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) specifying all the functional groups as major peaks confirming all of them as monoterpene alcohols with conjugated double bonds. Thus, HPTLC, ESI-MS and FTIR studies evidenced that the two essential oil components were majorly present in the methanol extract suggesting methanol as a good extractant in the manual extraction process.  相似文献

This paper contains new data on the chemical composition of the essential oil of Lippia alba (Mill.) N. E. Brown, as well as an overview of the available literature. Although the composition of the essential oil of this species is well-documented, discrepancies between the reported results suggest that many chemotypes and morphotypes exist. The analysis of essential oils obtained from the leaves of samples from three different locations in the French Overseas Departments (French Guiana, Martinique, and two different places in Guadeloupe) have shown that the composition of each one is quite different. This new data, along with a review and discussion of published studies, enabled us to establish seven distinct chemotypes. Possible connections between these chemotypes and morphotypes already described were also investigated.  相似文献

Abies nebrodensis (Lojac .) Mattei (Pinaceae) is a species occurring in a very small population only in a restricted area of Sicily. Its taxonomic classification as different species has been object of discussion. In this work the chemical composition of the essential oil from the leaves is presented for the first time and compared to the essential oils from other euroasiatic species reported in literature. The chemical composition of the essential oil of leaves (0.9%, w/v) and twigs (0.33%, w/v) of Wollemia nobilis (Araucariaceae) – a remnant species thought to have been extinct for 65 million years – was investigated by GC/MS. The main constituents of both leaf- and twig-derived oil samples were 16-kaurene (61.8% and 38.2%, respectively) and germacrene D (9.9% and 22%). The principal difference was a considerably more pronounced sesquiterpene presence in the twig-oil, amounting to 33.5%, than in its folial counterpart (23.4%). On the contrary, while remaining the dominant group in both oil samples under investigation, diterpenoids were relatively more abundant in leaf-derived oil constituting 65.3%, versus 41.7% detected in twigs. To our knowledge, this is the first report dealing with the essential oil composition of Wollemi pine twigs, as opposed to the leaf-derived volatiles.  相似文献

The chemical constituents of the essential oils from the leaves of Laurus nobilis L., have been identified both by capillary GC-MS and fused silica capillary GC Kovats retention in,lex of components. From laurel leaf oil, 45 compounds have been identified, among which, 19 compounds such as 1,4-cineole, sabinene hydrate etc. have not been found in the leaf oil previously. This paper studies systematically the constituents of essential oil from dry, fresh leaves, and those of annual, perennial, different district, and reported the changes of the chemical constituents month by month. Results showed that the yield of essential oil and 1,8-cineole content is the highest in July.  相似文献

扫描电镜和光镜下的叶表皮特征以及叶片解剖结构的研究结果,支持在红豆杉科内建立白豆杉属的处理方式;赞同在三尖杉属内建立篦子三尖杉组,叶片解剖结构方面,三尖杉科和红豆杉科的穗花杉属的相似之处颇多。而叶表皮形态特征方面又表现为三尖杉科和罗汉松科更加接近。反映了出了红豆杉科、三尖杉科和罗汉松科之间的密切而又复杂的系统关系。  相似文献

Introduction

The aim of the study was to estimate potential availability of essential oil in some brands of herbal products.

Methods

A comparison was performed on the basis of the essential oil yield in the unprocessed raw materials such as leaves of peppermint and lemon balm and inflorescence of chamomile as well as herbal tea bags and in dietary supplements. The yield of essential oil was determined by distillation. Essential oil was analyzed by GC-FID and GC-MS.

Results

It was found that the average potential availability of essential oils in the products such as dietary supplements for the doses recommended by the producers is lower than in the corresponding tea infusions: for peppermint formulations approximately 6-fold lower, for the formulations with lemon balm about 4-fold lower, and for the chamomile preparations about 3-fold lower. It was found that essential oils extracted from herbal teas have a similar chemical profile with characteristic deviations in the amount of individual components, which arise from the origin of the raw material.

Discussion

In contrast to homogenous pharmaceutical herbal mixtures consistent with, the Pharmacopoeia requirements, herbal teas (available in grocery stores) and dietary supplements are often out of control in terms of the yield and composition of the essential oil, which is primarily responsible for the health benefits and aromatic qualities of these products. Analysis of the composition of the dietary supplements showed that they contain on average significantly lower amounts of plant material compared to the herbal teas.  相似文献
