A Biosystematic Study on Adenophora gmelinii Complex (Campanulaceae)

Seven species were included in this complex before 《Fl. Reip. Pop. Sin.》, which recognized 3 species. Carried out in this work were population sampling ( 46 populations in total), cultivation, experimental observation, chromosome observation (published), crossing, isozymogramatic comparison, character analysis (including numerical taxonomical analysis), stem anatomy and palynological observation. The results are shown as follows. 1. This complex is found almost always out-pollinated as it is always protandrous. No apomixis is found. Seedlings are of only basal leaves in the first year, and it is only in the second year that they develop stems and come into flowering. 2. Among 32 chromosome-counted populations, all in eastern Liaoning, most in western Liaoning and two in Haoxian County of Shanxi Province are found to be 2x (2n=34), and all the others 4x (2n=68). 3. A rather wide range of zymogramatic variation of leaf esterase was detected in the complex. But seed esterase was quite constant. 4. Based on the character analysis (including numerical taxonomical analysis) and stem anatomy, the populations'are found to be different from one another in size and form of corollas, size of fruits, size and indumentum of calyces, size and form of leaves (ratios of length and width), teeth of leaves, relative length of styles and corollas, seed form as well as presence or absence of medullary fibre. As a result, 8 races are recognized. A diploid distributed in western Liaoning, which was recognized as a variety, A. polantha var. contracta, is so distinct in gross morphology that it is treated here as a species, A. contracta (Kitag.) J.Z. Qiu et Hong. With the other 7 races, 3 species (A. gmelinii, A. polyantha and A. elata) and 5 subspecies are recognized. 5. As a result of crossing among 9 populations, some F1 seeds were produced between the tetraploids, but none between the tetraploids and the diploids from eastern Liaoning. 6. Inferred from hybrid index method, the tetraploid populations of A. gmelinii and A. polyantha may have hybridized in eastern Shanxi Province and western Hebei Province, which may explain the intergradation of these two species. The evolution of this complex is finally deduced. Its ancestor might occupy in the past a rather wide area where it differentiated into three diploid races. From the one now distributed in eastern Liaoning, the tetraploid of A. polyantha might have evolved and migrated southwards; from the one in Haoxian (Shanxi), a tetraploid of A. gelinii might have been derived and expanded its area northwards, and finally, its subspecies might have differentiated. No diploid has been found in A. elata. Two diploids might be involved in its origin. One might be the diploid of A. gmelinii, and the other a diploid with calyx teeth (not includedin the complex). A New species of the Genus Tupistra (Convallariaceae), with Reference to Its Karyotype and Pollen Morphology

A species of the genus Tupistra,T．pingbianensis J．L．Huang et X．Z．Liu,is described as new,and its karyotype and pollen morphology are reported． The bimodal karyotype of this species is formulated as 2n＝38＝14m+10sm+8st+6t,and pollen grains are spheroidal,inaperturate,with rugulate exine sculpture．Based on its floral structure,karyotype and pollen morphology,T．pingbianensis J．L．Huang et X．Z．Liu is considered phylogenetically closely related to T．fungilliformis Wang et Liang．Whether the repense rhizome,solitary leaves of T．pingbianensis J．L．Huang et X．Z．Liu indicate a close relationship between the genus Tupistra and the genus Aspidistra needs further studies．     

开口箭属一新种及其核型和花粉形态

文章报道了新种屏边开口箭T．pingbianensis J．L．Huang et X．Z．Liu及其核型和花粉形态。屏边开口箭的核型公式为2n=38=14m+lOsm+8st+6t,具明显的二型性,属3C型。花粉粒为球形,无萌发孔沟,外壁具皱块状纹饰。从花结构、核型和花粉形态上看,屏边开口箭和伞柱开口箭T．fungilliformis Wang et Liang亲缘关系近,而且伞柱开口箭比屏边开口箭在一系列特征上都较特化。

蜘蛛抱蛋属（百合科）二新种

报道了在广西发现的2个百合科蜘蛛抱蛋属Aspidistra新种,即乳突蜘蛛抱蛋A. papillata G. Z. Li和环江蜘蛛抱蛋A. huanjiangensis G. Z. Li&Y. G. Wei。乳突蜘蛛抱蛋与大花蜘蛛抱蛋A. tonkinensis（Gagner. ）F. T. Wang&K. Y. Lang近缘。它们的共同特征是:花单生;花被裂片两侧彼此覆盖;柱头盾状,边缘3裂,上表面具3条辐射状沟缝。不同点是:乳突蜘蛛抱蛋植株较大花蜘蛛抱蛋的粗大;叶柄较粗;叶片椭圆形或长椭圆形;花被阔钟

Singchia and Gunnaria, two new genera of Orchidaceae

Singchia Z. J. Liu ＆ L. J. Chen, a new orchid genus, is established based on the new species S. malipoensis Z. J. Liu ＆ L. J. Chen found in southeast Yunnan, China. The new genus is related to Pteroceras, from which it differs by having a lip with its basal margins immovably adnate to the lower part of the pendent column foot, a thin-walled spur, and very unequally and deeply split pollinia, each with a distinct caudicle. In addition to a discussion on Ascocentrum pusillum, a species of questionable placement, another new genus, namely Gunnaria S. C. Chen ex Z. J. Liu ＆ L. J. Chen, is set up and a new combination, namely G. pusilla （Aver.） Z. J. Liu ＆ L. J. Chen, is made. The new genus Gunnaria differs from its allyAscocentrum by having a cross-shaped pollinarium, sulcate or split pollinia, each with a distinct caudicle attached to a common linear stipe much longer than either pollinia or viscidium, and strongly incurved side lobes of the lip.     

山茶科紫茎属和舟柄茶属的系统学研究

本文对山茶科紫茎属和舟柄茶属进行了深入细致的系统学研究,藉助形态学、古植物学、孢粉学,细胞学和解剖学资料澄清了两属的分合问题,证实两属在各方面具有较大相似性,并且各分类特征存在广泛的联系而无法分开,从而赞同H．K．Airy Shaw,J．R．Sealy及S．A.Spongberg的主张,即将这两属合并。在此基础上本文提出了世界范围广义紫茎属下分类系统。属下新系统根据花柱合生程度、花序类型,苞片与萼片的形状以及两者的相对长度等特征,分为两个亚属,五个组,同时对该属种类进行修订。该属共有23种5变种,本文发表新组1个,新名称2个,新组合9个,新异名10个,新种1个,并附有分种检索表。广义的紫茎属为东亚-北美间断分布类型,中国南部和西南部是该属的起源中心和高度分化中心。根据化石资料推断,该属起源于早白垩纪,在第三纪以前于整个劳亚古陆上呈广泛而连续的分布,后因冰川及造山运动的影响,从而形成现在的分布格局。     

辽宁省三级保护植物木根黄芩考证及其与京黄芩比较形态学研究

木根黄芩(Scutellaria planipes Nakai et Kitag.)是唇形科黄芩属(Scutellaria L.)多年生草本,目前仅发现在辽宁省凌源市境内有零星分布,被辽宁省列为三级保护植物。该种发表于1934年,但《中国植物志》、Flora of China、《中国生物物种名录》均将其定为京黄芩(Scutellaria pekinensis Maxim.)的异名。为了阐明二者的差异性,本文首先对木根黄芩的原始文献、模式标本、模式产地、历史分布区及现今发现地进行考证,其次对二者进行差异比较研究,认为木根黄芩与京黄芩无论在分布范围和生境上,还是在宏观外部形态和微观花粉粒形态上均存在明显差异,确定木根黄芩为独立种,同时还对木根黄芩的果实进行形态补充描述。本文确定木根黄芩独立种的地位,对保护野生木根黄芩具有重要意义,同时对其药用价值的进一步研究提供了更为清晰的样本。     

Additional notes on the subgenus Brachypetalum (s. l.) of Paphiopedilum

Two new orchid taxa, Paphiopedilum globulosum Z. J. Liu et S. C. Chen and Paphiopedilum micranthum Tang et Wang var. oblatum Z. J. Liu et J. Y. Zhang, are described and illustrated based on cultivated plants originating in southeastern Yunnan. Both of them are related to Paphiopdilum micranthum Tang et Wang, from which the former differs by having much broader leaves 2.8 ~ 3.4 cm wide, a somewhat hooked-tipped lip 1.1 ~ 1.2 cm wide, and a staminode al-most as big as the mouth of the lip, and the latter by broader leaves 2.2 ~ 3 cm wide and an oblate lip at a depth of no more than 1 cm. They all belong to the subgenus Brachypetalum (s. l. ). A key to 16 Chinese and Vietnamese species of this subgenus is provided.     

Taxonomical history and revision of Paeonia sect. Moutan (Paeoniaceae)

The taxonomical history of the woody group(peonies) in the genus Paeonia is reviewed in the present paper. The group is endemic to China, but Paeonia suffruticosa is commonly cultivated throughout the north temperate region and has long been known as “the King of Flowers” in China. However, the taxonomy of the group had been neglected before the 1990' s. Since 1990, a number of new species and subspecies have been published. With the support from the National Geographic Society, the senior author of the present paper and his coworkers have made expeditions to all parts of the distribution area of the group, visited all the type localities and sampled a total of 64 populations. Based on the character analysis and examination of the type specimens or photos, each taxon is reviewed with its name checked nomenclaturally, and finally the taxonomy of the whole group is revised. As a result, eight species, three of which each contains two subspecies, are recognized. They are Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews subsp. suffruticosa and subsp. yinpingmudan D. Y. Hong, K. Y. Pan et Z. W. Xie, P. jishanensis T. Hong et W. Z. Zhao, P. qiui Y. L. Pei et D. Y. Hong, P. ostii T. Hong et J. X. Zhang, P. rockii (S. G. Haw et L. A. Lauener )T. Hong et J. J. Li subsp. rockii and subsp. taibaishanica D. Y. Hong, P. decomposita Hand.-Mazz. Subsp. decomposita and subsp. rotundiloba D. Y. Hong, P. delavayi Franeh. and P. ludlowii (Stern et Taylor)D. Y. Hong. P. baokangensis Z. L. Dai et T. Hong and P. yananensis T. Hong et M. R. Li are considered as hybrids between P. rockii and P. qiui and between P. rockii and P. jishanensis respectively. In addition, the reduction of a number of names recently published to synonyms is explained.

毛木耳一新变种

本文报道了发现于河北省石家庄地区的木耳科(Auricualariaceae)、木耳属(Auricu-laria)毛木耳的一个白色变种。其色泽如银耳故命名银白木耳[A．Polytricha(Mont.)Sacc. Var．Argentca D．Z．Zhao et C．J．Waag var．Nov．]是经济价值高、可供进一步开发应用的食用菌新菌种。通过三代五次人工驯化培养,生物性状稳定,颜色纯白,朵大肉厚,外观美丽,并具有抗木霉、耐高温,生物效率高等特点。     

袋衣属一新种

本文描述了袋衣属一新种：云南袋衣。其主要特征为裂片长,末端及边缘常具大量小裂片。裂片上表面无光泽,具丘疹;下表面呈明显的网状褶皱,中央呈睹玫瑰色至暗褐色,近末端呈淡玫瑰色至淡褐色,具稀疏而较大的孔洞。
