Experimental studies of the mussel hydrolyzate (MIGI-K) have shown that this preparation can enhance both general and radiation resistance of the organism. Moreover, MIGI-K promotes elimination of incorporated radionuclides from the organism. Some properties of this preparation, in particular, the absence of toxicity or harmful side effects, have made it possible to apply MIGI-K as an adaptogen, that is, a food supplement oftherapeutic and preventive action used to increase radionuclide excretion in the Chernobyl emergency clean-up workers.  相似文献

A preparation from mussels, MIGI-K, used as an additive to the diet of people working at the Chernobyl power plant has proved to be efficient in increasing the total resistance of the body, including the resistance to ionizing radiation. In experiments with animals, MIGI-K has been shown to accelerate excretion of 45Ca and 86Rb from the body. The combination of these properties of MIGI-K permits us to consider it an efficient drug to be used within the regions affected by the Chernobyl disaster.  相似文献

It has been demonstrated that estradiol increases the resistance of the animals to hemorrhagic shock. The influence of chlorinated pesticides (DDE and lindane) on Karelian larids has been investigated. Data on the content of pollutants in eggs of the investigated bird species have been obtained by gas chromatography. These data show that the level of anthropogenic contamination is statistically significant, but in general low. This is related with the restriction of these pesticides in modern agriculture and the total decrease in agriculture activity in the northern parts of the country.  相似文献

The diversification of rare and unique morphs of some ferment systems and the clonal structure of dandelion coenopopulations, growing in radioactive contaminated drained watershed and flood-land ecosystems in the Ural region was studied. Drained watershed and flood-land dandelion coenopopulations significantly differed in the number of rare and of unique morphs and in the clonal structure. In the gradient of contamination in the drained watershed coenopopulations (zone of East-Urals radioactive trace) the share of rare morphs in most ferments systems increased, while the number of clones decreased. In two flood-land coenopopulations of the Techa River essential differences in the enzyme structure were observed, but these peculiarities were not connected with the level of radioactive contamination.  相似文献

Twenty-three pyrenomycete species were tested for antibiotic activity in submerged cultures. When they were screened against bacteria and fungi, 15 showed positive results. Among these,Eutypa acharii, Diaporthe pustulata, Melanconis flavovirens andCamarops microspora were quite promising against bacteria and/or fungi. An antibacterial antibiotic fromCamarops microspora was partially purified and characterized. The comparative analysis of frequencies of different type cytogenetic anomalies in voles Microtus oeconomus, Microtus arvalis, Clethrionomys glareolus trapped in territories with different levels of radionuclide contamination inside the 30-km zone of estrangement around the Chernobyl NPP was carried out. Animals with constitutive chromosome abnormalities were not revealed. The frequency of lympocytes with micronuclei was the most universal and sensitive character to chronic low-dose radiation in investigated species. The species-specific relation was observed between level of radionuclide contamination in trapping zone and increase in frequencies of cytogenetic abnormalities: aneuploidy in Microtus arvalis and metaphase plates with asynchronous centromere fission in Microtus oeconomus. Common vole appears to be the most sensitive species of investigated ones to chronic low-dose ionizing irradiation.  相似文献

Ciliary metachronism and motility were examined optically in muco-ciliary tissue cultures from three different systems: a) frog's palate epithelium, b) frog's oesophagus, and c) human nasal polyps. In addition, lateral cilia of Mytilus edulis (water transporting cilia) were examined. It was revealed that the degree of synchronization between muco-ciliary systems is lower than that of water transporting cilia. There are no significant differences between different muco-ciliary systems, within the accuracy of our measurement although relatively large statistical ensembles were used. In addition the wavelength and wave direction of the metachronal wave was examined. All four systems exhibit similar wavelength. The metachronal parameters of muco-ciliary systems exhibit fluctuations (as was demonstrated by the degree of synchronization), however, the magnitude and repetitivity of these fluctuations, is dependent on the loading of the ciliary system. We have loaded the system by increasing the viscosity of the medium. Under viscous load the frequency of the beating decreased. The metachronal wavelength became longer and the metachronal coordination type more orthoplectic.  相似文献

【背景】水体微生物有着丰富的多样性,不同种类的微生物之间的相互作用对水体生态系统的组成结构与功能具有重要影响。水体内的藻类与某些微生物可以发生多种相互作用,然而人们对逆境条件下的菌藻有益相互作用尚缺乏深入研究。【目的】为了研究镉对水体微生物群落的影响以及镉胁迫下菌藻之间可能的相互作用。【方法】本研究运用了基于16S rRNA基因的高通量测序技术,分析在不同Cd~(2+)条件下微生物群落结构的变化,利用微生物相互作用网络分析菌藻之间可能发生的相互作用。【结果】通过分离培养筛选出了与集胞藻PCC6803互作抗Cd~(2+)的关键细菌Y9菌株。【结论】研究结果表明Y9菌株属于Phyllobacteriaceae科,与微生物群落组成和微生物互作网络的分析结果相符。本研究为探索水体环境中微生物种间相互作用、菌藻互作抗Cd~(2+)的生态效应提供参考依据。  相似文献

l-Serine-degrading activity could be suppressed by controlling the methanol concentration in l-serine synthesis using resting Hyphomicrobium sp. NCIB10099 cells. Fifty-three mg/ml of l-serine were produced from 100 mg/ml of glycine and 104 mg/ml of methanol. It is believed that l-serine-degrading activity contributes to the reverse serine hydroxymethyltransferase reaction.  相似文献

We have investigated the factors governing the plasminogen-dependent fibrinolysis catalyzed by the serine proteinase, plasminogen activator (EC 3.4.21.-), under physiologic conditions. We found that live rabbit fibroblasts digested much less fibrin than predicted by cell-free assay of the secreted plasminogen activator. The reduced catalytic activity of plasminogen activator expressed by cells growing on fibrin was regulated by the salt concentration of culture medium. The plasminogen activators of cells from several mammalian species were inhibited by physiologic salt concentrations (0.15 M NaCl) in cell-free assays. CaCl2 and KCl, but not D-glucose, were also effective inhibitors. The catalytic activity of purified human urokinase and of plasmin was unaffected by increased ionic strength. Plasminogen activators secreted both spontaneously and in response to stimulation by the tumor promoter, 12-O-tetradecanoyl-phorbol-13-acetate, were inhibited by 0.15 M NaCl. Physiologic salt concentration appeared to function by interacting with plasminogen activator, or plasminogen, and a third component, possibly a reversible inhibitor. One consequence of this regulation of plasminogen activator under physiologic conditions is the limitation of plasminogen-dependent fibrin degradation by living cels.  相似文献

Ionizing radiation is an important genotoxic agent. Protecting against this form of toxicant, especially by a dietary component, has several potential applications. In the present study, we have examined the ability of vanillin (4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde), a naturally occurring food flavouring agent, to inhibit radiation-induced DNA damage measured as strand breaks under in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo conditions besides the possible mechanisms behind the observed protection. Our study showed that there was a concentration-dependent inhibition of the disappearance of super-coiled (ccc) form of plasmid pBR322 (in vitro) upon exposure to 50 Gy of gamma-radiation. Presence of 0.5 mM vanillin has a dose-modifying factor (DMF) of 6.75 for 50% inactivation of ccc form. Exposure of human peripheral blood leucocytes (ex vivo) to gamma-radiation causes strand breaks in the cellular DNA, as assessed by comet assay. When leucocytes were exposed to 2 Gy of gamma-radiation there was an increase in parameters of comet assay such as %DNA in tail, tail length, 'tail moment' and 'Olive tail moment'. The presence of 0.5 mM vanillin during irradiation significantly reduced these parameters. Damage to DNA in mouse peripheral blood leucocytes after whole-body exposure of mice (in vivo) to gamma-radiation was studied at 1 and 2 h post-irradiation. There was recovery of DNA damage in terms of the above-mentioned parameters at 2 h post-irradiation. This was more than that observed at 1 h. The recovery was more in vanillin treated mice. Hence our studies showed that vanillin offers protection to DNA against radiation-induced damage possibly imparting a role other than modulation of DNA repair. To examine the possible mechanisms of radioprotection, in terms of radiation-derived radicals, we carried out the reaction of vanillin with ABTS*(+) radical spectrophotometrically besides with DNA peroxyl and carbonyl radicals by using pulse radiolysis. Our present investigations show that vanillin has ability to protect against DNA damage in plasmid pBR322, human and mouse peripheral blood leucocytes and splenic lymphocytes besides enhancing survival in splenic lymphocytes against gamma-radiation, and that the possible mechanism may involve scavenging of radicals generated during radiation, apart from modulation of DNA repair observed earlier.  相似文献
