A beta-glycosidase was purified from the seeds of Dalbergia nigescens Kurz based on its ability to hydrolyse p-nitrophenyl beta-glucoside and beta-fucoside. This enzyme did not hydrolyze various glycosidic substrates efficiently, so it was used to identify its own natural substrates. Two substrates were identified, isolated and their structures determined as: compound 1, dalpatein 7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and compound 2, 6,2',4',5'-tetramethoxy-7-hydroxy-7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (dalnigrein7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside). The beta-glycosidase removes the sugar from these glycosides as a disaccharide, despite its initial identification as a beta-glucosidase and beta-fucosidase.  相似文献

Four new pregnane glycosides, stelmatocryptonoside A, B, C, and D (1-4), were isolated from the stems of Stelmatocrypton khasianum. On the basis of chemical and spectral data, the structures of 1-4 were established as 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside; 3beta, 20-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-digitalopyranoside; 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside; and 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside. This is the first report of pregnane glycosides with sugar chains linked at C-16 of the aglycone.  相似文献

dFrom the aerial portion of Justicia betonica L., four triterpenoidal glycosides (justiciosides A-D) were isolated. From the dried roots of Neonauclea sessilifolia, two new chromone-secoiridoid glycosides, sessilifoside and 7"-O-beta-D-glucopyranosylsessilifoside, and three novel indole alkaloid glycosides, neonaucleosides A, B, and C, were isolated along with the main known glycosides, 5-hydroxy-2-methylchromone-7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, sweroside, loganin, grandifloroside, and quinovic acid 3 beta-O-beta-D-quinovopyranoside-28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The structures of these new glycosides were determined by spectroscopic and chemical means. Neonaucleoside A and its C-3 epimer were prepared from secologanin and tryptamine.  相似文献

Three new glycosides of the oleanene-type triterpenes, rivalosides C-E (1-3), along with three known triterpene saponins, momordin IIb (4) and rivalosides A-B (5-6), and five known iridoid glucosides: monotropein, scandoside, deacetylasperulosidic acid, geniposidic acid and asperulosidic acid, were isolated from aerial parts of Galium rivale. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectral methods and chemical means as 2alpha-acetoxy-3alpha, 19alpha-dihydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1--> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, 2alpha,3alpha, 19alpha-trihydroxy-olean- 12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and 3-O-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl-24-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, for rivalosides C-E, respectively. Six new steroidal saponins have been isolated from the fresh bulbs of Camassia cusickii. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis and some chemical transformations to be (25R)-5 alpha-spirostan-3 beta,6 alpha-diol (chlorogenin) 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, chlorogenin 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1----2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, chlorogenin 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1----3)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, chlorogenin 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1----2)-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1----3)]-beta- D-glucopyranoside, (25R)-6 alpha-hydroxy-5 alpha-spirostan-3-one 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl- (1----3)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and (25R)-3,3-dimethoxy-5 alpha-spirostan-6 alpha-ol 6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1----3)-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The saponins isolated were shown to contribute to the bitter taste of the bulbs.  相似文献

Two new megastigmane glycosides (1 and 2) and two new flavone glycosides (3 and 4) were isolated from the methanol extract of the whole plant of Caralluma negevensis Zohary (Asclepiadaceae). The structures of the isolated compounds were characterized as (9R)-2beta,9-dihydroxymegastigma-4,7-dien-3-one-9-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), 2beta,9-dihydroxymegastigma-4-en-3-one 9-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), luteolin 3'-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside-4'-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3), and luteolin 3',4'-di-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4). Two new flavonol glycosides and three known flavonoids were isolated from seeds of Camellia semiserrata Chi. The structures of these new flavonol glycosides were established as kaempferol 3-O-[(2',3',4'-triacetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->3)(2',4'-diacetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside] and kaempferol 3-O-[(3',4'-diacetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->3)(2',4'-diacetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside] by spectroscopic methods. Eight new steroidal glycosides, tentatively named YS-VI, -VII, -VIII, -IX, -X, -XI, -XII and -XIII were isolated from the caudex of Yucca gloriosa along with P-1, YG-2 and YG-3 previously obtained from flowers. A detailed phytochemical study on the 70% aqueous ethanol extract of stems of Akebia trifoliata (Thunb.) Koidz. var. australis (Diels) Rehd led to isolation of five compounds, together with 12 known triterpenoid saponins and three known phenylethanoid glycosides. From the stem bark of Newbouldia laevis three phenylethanoid glycosides, designated as newbouldioside A-C, were isolated together with a sodium salt of analogue B and the known compounds, verbascoside, 5-hydroxydehydro-iso-alpha-lapachone, 3,8-dihydroxydehydro-iso-alpha-lapachone, apigenin and luteolin. The 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside of ethyl 3-hydroxyoctanoate and the diastereomeric 3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosides of (3R) and (3S)-butyl 3-hydroxybutanoate, respectively, were isolated by chromatographic methods from fruits of cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana) harvested in Colombia. Their structures were identified by ESI-MS/MS and NMR spectroscopy. The three glycoconjugates can be considered as immediate precursors of ethyl 3-hydroxyoctanoate and butyl 3-hydroxybutanoate, which are important aroma volatiles found in the fruit.  相似文献

The aqueous methanolic extract of the aerial parts of Fagonia arabica L. (family Zygophyllaceae) was successively fractionated using certain organic solvents. From the ethyl acetate fraction, two flavonoid glycosides were isolated and identified as kaempferol-7-O-rhamnoside and acacetin-7-O-rhamnoside. Four triterpenoidal glycosides were isolated from the butanolic layer. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of the spectral and chemical data as 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabinopyranoside oleanolic acid (1), 3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl quinovic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), 3-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabinosyl oleanolic acid (3) and 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabino-pyranosyl quinovic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4). The two monodesmosidic saponins 1 and 3 were found to possess strong molluscicidal activity against Biomphalaria alexandrina snails, the intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni in Egypt (LC90 = 13.33 and 16.44 microM), whereas the other two bidesmosidic saponins 2 and 4 as well as the two flavonoid glycosides were inactive up to 50 microM.  相似文献
