The essential oil composition from the aerial parts of a new Eryngium species from Australia, Eryngium rosulatum P.W. Michael ined., has been analysed by GC and GC/MS. A total of 34 compounds have been identified representing around 80% of the total oil. The main constituents of the oil were found to be β-elemene (16.0%) and bicyclogermacrene (12.5%). Other representative compounds were identified as δ-elemene (7.0%) and (E)-caryophyllene (5.9%). The sesquiterpene fraction (75.0%) was predominant in the essential oil of this species, most of these were hydrocarbons (53.8%). This paper represents the first study on this new, undescribed Australian species and its chemical composition.  相似文献

The essential oils of three species of Phlomis from Turkey, Phlomis leucophracta, Phlomis chimerae and Phlomis grandiflora var. grandiflora have been studied. The main constituents of P. leucophracta essential oil were β-caryophyllene (20.2%), α-pinene (19.2%) and limonene (11.0%). This species also contained three diterpene derivatives, 15-isopimaradiene, manoyl oxide and epi-13-manoyl oxide that summed 1.4%. In P. chimerae the principal compounds were β-caryophyllene (31.6%), α-pinene (11.0%), germacrene D (6.1%), limonene (5.5%) and linalool (4.7%). In P. grandiflora var. grandiflora, germacrene D (45.4%), β-caryophyllene (22.8%) and bicyclogermacrene (4.9%) were among the principal derivatives.  相似文献

In this study the glandular hair morphology, chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of the essential oils from three Ocimum species have been investigated (Ocimum basilicum L. var. Genovese, O. gratissimum and O. tenuiflorum). The indumentum shows little variation among the investigated species with both glandular and non-glandular hairs presents. Glandular hairs on the three species are peltate and capitate (with various cell numbers in the stalk and gland). The samples of essential oils obtained from the plant aerial organs by hydrodistillation have been analyzed by GC-MS. Linalool (65.38%, 74.22%, 38.60%), eugenol (5.26%, 3.47%, 10.20%) and tau-cadinol (8.18%, 3.47%, 10.20%) appear as the main components in Ocimum basilicum L. var. Genovese, O. gratissimum and O. tenuiflorum. The oils also contain lower levels of α-bergamotene, 1,8-cineole, germacrene D, β-ocimene, α-caryophyllene, camphor, and α-guaiene. All essential oils showed antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli depending on their concentration. Ocimum basilicum L. var. Genovese oil produced the strongest antibacterial effect on S. aureus and E. coli.  相似文献

The qualitative and quantitative analysis of flavonoids from Opuntia ficus-indica flowers methanol extract from the Mediterranean area is described. On the basis of HPLC–PDA-ESI-MS/MS analysis seven compounds have been identified as kaempferol, quercetin, and isorhamnetin glycosylated derivatives. The total amount of flavonoids of O. ficus-indica flowers was 81.75 mg/1 g of fresh plant material, with isorhamnetin 3-O-robinobioside being the major component (52.22%). The plant flowers volatiles composition was also characterized and a total of 18 components were identified. The main constituents were found to be germacrene D (12.6%), 1-hexanol (12.3%), n-tetradecane (9.1%) and decanal (8.2%).  相似文献

Aberrant DNA methylation contributes to the abnormality of hepatic gene expression, one of the main factors in the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Betaine is a methyl donor and has been considered to be a lipotropic agent. However, whether betaine supplementation improves NAFLD via its effect on the DNA methylation of specific genes and the genome has not been explored. Male C57BL/6 mice were fed either a control diet or high-fat diet (HFD) supplemented with 0%, 1% and 2% betaine in water (wt/vol) for 12 weeks. Betaine supplementation ameliorated HFD-induced hepatic steatosis in a dose-dependent manner. HFD up-regulated FAS and ACOX messenger RNA (mRNA) expression and down-regulated PPARα, ApoB and MTTP mRNA expression; however, these alterations were reversed by betaine supplementation, except ApoB. MTTP mRNA expression was negatively correlated with the DNA methylation of its CpG sites at −184, −156, −63 and −60. Methylation of these CpG sites was lower in both the 1% and 2% betaine-supplemented groups than in the HFD group (averages; 25.55% and 14.33% vs. 30.13%). In addition, both 1% and 2% betaine supplementation significantly restored the methylation capacity [S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) concentration and SAM/S-adenosylhomocysteine ratios] and genomic methylation level, which had been decreased by HFD (0.37% and 0.47% vs. 0.25%). These results suggest that the regulation of aberrant DNA methylation by betaine might be a possible mechanism of the improvements in NAFLD upon betaine supplementation.  相似文献

In this study pro/anti-oxidant activities of Thymus revolutus Célak (T. revolutus C.) essential oil and its two main components on Hep G2 cells were determined. Twelve components were identified in T. revolutus C. essential oil by GC and GC-MS and the main components of the oil were cymene (32.57%) and γ-terpinene (17.18%). The essential oil showed more cytotoxicity than its two main components on Hep G2 after 24, 48 and 72 hours incubations. Membrane damage effects of the essential oil and its two main components on Hep G2 cells were increased by incubation with IC10, IC50 and IC70 concentrations. Lower essential oil (<IC50) concentrations had cytoprotective and membrane protective effects against H2O2. The free radical scavenging activity of the essential oil of T. revolutus C. (EC50 = 250±0.2 μg/mL) was superior to its two main components (neither not active). Oxidation of linoleic acid was effectively inhibited by T. revolutus C. (72.8%), while inhibition values of linoleic acid oxidation were calculated as 23.4.% and 26.7% for cymene and Γ-terpinene, respectively. These findings suggest that essential oils and its two main components had both pro-oxidant and protective (antioxidant) effects and they exhibited those effects depending on concentration.  相似文献

This study has been focused on airborne pollen concentration in Northern Tunis. Pollen has been detected by a volumetric Hirst-type spore trap. This suction sampler was placed for two hydrologic years in the area of Mornag, northeastof Tunisia (36°40N; 10°17E). Fifty-two taxa were identified with heterogeneous daily pollen concentrations and a dominance of anemophilous plants. The main pollen types detected in the atmosphere were Olea europaea (38.7 and 20.75%), Cupressus (33.57 and 55.4%), Urticaceae (9.22 and 12.24%), Poaceae (3.55 and 3.32%), Mercurialis annua (2.96 and 1.6%) and Amaranthaceae (2.49 and 1.55%). The monthly pollen spectrum indicated a seasonal periodicity of airborne pollen with the main pollen season during spring. Two pollen seasons have been observed during these hydrologic years, due to both Cupressus and Amaranthaceae airborne pollen is represented during winter or spring, and also during autumn and late summer, respectively. Other pollen types represent a long pollen season, i.e., Urticaceae, starting in autumn and following until late spring. Daily pollen concentration showed a different behavior during the flowering season between both years, observing differences related to pollen index. Correlation between daily pollen concentrations of the dominant taxa showed a positive and significant correlation between airborne pollen concentrations of spring-pollinated taxa and mean temperature, but negative with maximum temperature, humidity and rainfall. In the case of minimum temperature, a different response, positive for trees and negative for herbaceous plants, has been observed.  相似文献

From 1994 to 2011, over 7000 individuals of small mammals were captured and examined for ticks in the natural foci of ixodid tick-borne borrelioses (ITBB) in the Middle Urals (Chusovskoy District of Perm Territory). Alongside with the taiga tick (Ixodes persulcatus), which is the main Borrelia vector, approximately 5700 feeding individuals of Ixodes trianguliceps have been identified. The latter species has been found to be about five times less abundant than the former. I. trianguliceps has been collected from small mammals belonging to 19 species. Its main hosts are common shrews (Sorex araneus), bank voles (Clethrionomys glareolus), and northern red-backed voles (C. rutilus). I. trianguliceps shows two seasonal peaks of abundance, spring-summer, and summer-autumn. Plating in BSK II medium yielded 72 isolates of Borrelia from a total of 1142 individuals of I. trianguliceps; 64 isolates have been identified with PCR and RFLP. The mean values of the Borrelia infestation rate in I. trianguliceps larvae, nymphs, and adults are 2.6, 10.2, and 8.1%, respectively, which is 5–10 times lower than in the taiga tick individuals collected from the same mammals. Borreliae obtained from I. trianguliceps (as well as those from I. persulcatus) have been identified as Borrelia garinii and B. afzelii, the former spirochete species being more frequent (about 90% of isolates from I. trianguliceps). Our results indicate that I. trianguliceps ticks participate in circulation of the ITBB causative agents in the forests of the Middle Urals. Rare occurrence of the tick and low rates of its infestation with borreliae suggest that the species is unlikely to play a significant role in the epizootic development in the natural foci of ITBB.  相似文献

BackgroundThe antimicrobial resistance of extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC) has progressively been reported worldwide. This resistance has been ascribed to global dissemination of a single E. coli clone, namely E. coli sequence type 131 (E. coli ST131). The main goal of this study is to determine the prevalence and molecular traits of ST131 and its subclones among E. coli clinical urine isolates in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.MethodsSixty E. coli urine isolates, of different extended spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) carriage, were involved in this study. Molecular characterization was carried out to determine the ST131 status, phylogenetic groups and virulence carriage of these isolates. ST131 isolates were further tested to evaluate the prevalence of different phylogenetic groups, subclones and virulence carriage.ResultsGroup B2 was the most common phylogroup from which E. coli isolates derived. Overall, 37 of 60 (61.7%) isolates belonged to ST131 clones. Of these, 19 (31.7%) isolates were from the H30 subclone, including 10 (16.7%) H30 non-Rx and 9 (15%) H30Rx. The remaining 18 (30%) ST131 isolates belonged to other non H30 subclones. H30 subclone was significantly higher in the virulence carriage in comparison to non H30 ST131 subclones.ConclusionThis study reported the prevalence and traits of clinical E. coli ST131 main subclones in Saudi Arabia. It also demonstrated the high prevalence of E. coli ST131 locally, and found different virulence genotypes and antimicrobial resistance phenotypes among ST131 subclones. In the future, preforming whole genome sequence-based studies on ST131 and its subclones is crucial to elucidate factors that drive the success of these organisms.  相似文献

Carrageenan (E-407) and semi-refined carrageenan (E-407a) are some of the main additives used by the food industry for their gelling, emulsifying, thickening, and stabilizing properties. These are natural ingredients, which have been used for decades in food applications and are generally regarded as safe. Internationally, sub-tropical carrageenophytes (e.g., Kappaphycus alvarezii) are cultivated extensively as a source of raw materials for industrial extraction, and their use as potential candidates in integrated multitrophic aquaculture is tentative. We analyzed carrageenan yield (as a percentage of dry weight) and chemical composition (by Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection and Fourier transform-Raman) of extracts produced by several carrageenophytes (Gigartinales, Rhodophyta), from different origins, e.g., K. alvarezii (Tanzania, Indonesia, the Philippines, Panama, and Mexico), Kappaphycus striatum (Madagascar), Eucheuma denticulatum (Tanzania, the Philippines, and Madagascar), Betaphycus gelatinum (the Philippines), Chondracanthus chamissoi, and Sarcothalia crispata (Chile). For comparison, some underutilized carrageenophytes were also analyzed, e.g., Chondrus crispus, Mastocarpus stellatus, Gigartina pistillata, Chondracanthus teedei var. lusitanicus, Chondracanthus acicularis, Calliblepharis jubata, Gymnogongrus crenulatus, and Ahnfeltiopsis devoniensis (Portuguese carrageenophytes). The main findings were that the highest carrageenan yield was obtained from K. striatum (Madagascar) with 75.6 (percent dry weight (% DW)); B. gelatinum and K. alvarezii (both from the Philippines) had yields of 71.0% and 68.0% (% DW), respectively; and G. pistillata (Portugal) 65.4% (% DW). Spectroscopic analysis of the phycocolloids allowed determination of a wide range of carrageenan types, e.g., pure iota carrageenan, several kappa–iota hybrid carrageenans with different iota/kappa ratios, and kappa–beta, xi–theta, and xi–lambda hybrid carrageenans.  相似文献

The essential oils of Peperomia circinnata and Peperomia rotundifolia growing on different host-trees were collected at two localities in the state of Pará. The whole plants were submitted to hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The main compounds found in the oils of P. circinnata were myrcene (12.2%–31.2%) and β-phellandrene (17.5%–25.4%). The major components identified in the oils of P. rotundifolia were limonene (28.7%–35.0%) and decanal (22.8%–44.4%). Close relationships were noted between Peperomia and bryophytes. Two species of hepatics, Lejeunea trinitensis and Cheilolejeunea comans were recorded for the first time in the state of Pará.  相似文献

Milled rice (Oryza sativa L.) is composed of approximately 90% starch. The properties of starch have considerable effects on cooked rice palatability and consumer acceptability. Starch pasting viscosity parameters serve as important indices in the estimation of eating, cooking, and processing qualities of rice. In the present study, four cytoplasmic male-sterile (CMS) lines and eight restorer (R) lines have been used in an incomplete diallel cross to analyze seed effects, cytoplasmic effects, maternal gene effects, and their genotype × environment (GE) effects on the following starch pasting viscosity parameters: breakdown (BD), consistency (CS), and setback (SB). The results demonstrated that the total main genetic variances (VG) accounted for over 64% of the total genetic variance (VG + VGE) for the three traits, indicating that these traits were mainly controlled by the main genetic effects in addition to the GE interaction effects. The estimated total narrow-sense heritability were 67.8%, 79.5%, and 79.5% for BD, CS, and SB, respectively. The general heritability (h2G) accounted for over 75% of the total heritability (h2G + h2GE), indicating that early selection would be effective for those traits and the selection efficiencies were relatively stable in different environments.  相似文献

BackgroundNontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) have been reported to be increasing worldwide and its geographic distribution differs by region. The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiology and distribution of NTM in the eastern part of China.MethodsSputum samples were collected from 30 surveillance sites for tuberculosis drug resistance test from May 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Identification was performed using a biochemical test, multiplex PCR and GenoType Mycobacterium CM/AS assay.ResultsA total of 1779 smear positive clinical isolates were obtained, of which 60 (3.37%) were NTM. Five species/complex of NTM were identified; M. intracellulare was the predominated species (68.33%), followed by M. abscessus-M. immunogenum (13.33%), Mycobacterium spec. (10.00%), M. Kansasii (6.67%) and M. peregrinum-M. alvei-M. septicum (1.67%).Conclusion M. intracellulare was the main species of NTM in the eastern part of China and clinical physicians should pay more attention to NTM induced pulmonary disease.  相似文献

Background:

One of the main causes of sexually transmitted diseases is group B β- hemolytic streptococci (GBS) multiplying in the genital tracts. Penicillin is the most common drug for the treatment of infections caused by these bacteria, but in patients suffering from Penicillin allergy, Erythromycin and Clindamycin are used as alternative therapeutic drugs against GBS. Recently, resistance to these drugs has been reported more often. In this study, efforts have been made to determine the prevalence and antibiotic resistance of GBS.

Methods:

Modified Christie Atkins Munch-Petersen (CAMP) test was conducted on over 2400 samples of urine and discharge taken from vagina, urethra and prostate. The drug sensitivity was performed by double disk sensitivity tests to Bacitracin, Trimethoprim, and Sulfamethoxazole and then the resistant samples were investigated by E-test to determine the minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) value.

Results:

Twenty-three vaginal and 10 urethral discharge, 27urine and 6 prostatic secretion samples were GBS positive. The most symbiotic microorganisms with GBS were strains of Enterococci (90%), Staphylococcus saprophyticus (25%) and Candida albicans (6%). The disk diffusion method showed 18 cases with Penicillin resistance (MIC: 1.5 mg/ml).

Conclusion:

Taken together, GBS carriers’ rate in this study was found 20.65% (8.24% men and 12.4% women). Two Haptophytes were isolated from extensive aquaculture ponds at Veta La Palma state (Guadalquivir estuary, SW Spain). They were identified as Pseudoisochrysis paradoxa VLP and Diacronema vlkianum VLP based on their SSU rDNA homology to other Haptophytes and positioned in the Isochrysidaceae and Pavlovaceae families, respectively. Both Haptophytes had phosphatidilglycerol (PG) as the only phospholipid (PL), representing a low proportion of the total lipid content (0.8% in P. paradoxa VLP and 3.3% in D. vlkianum VLP). Instead, they were found to have different types of betaine lipids (BL) that were identified and characterized by HPLC/ESI-TOF-MS operating in multiple reacting monitoring (MRM) modes. P. paradoxa VLP had 2.2% of total lipids as diacylgyceryl-N-trimethylhomoserine (DGTS): it is the first Haptophyte reported to have this BL. Its total lipid fraction also contained 12.0% of diacylglyceryl-carboxyhydroxymethylcholine (DGCC) as the main BL and no diacylglyceryl-hydroxymethyl-N,N,N-trimethyl-β-alanine (DGTA) was detected. DGTA was only present (4.6% of total lipids) in D. vlkianum VLP: this was the main difference in BL content relative to P. paradoxa. D. vlkianum VLP also had DGTS (4.1%) and DGCC (7.6%): it is the first microalgae in which the simultaneous presence of these three BL has been demonstrated.The fatty acid profiles of P. paradoxa VLP and D. vlkianum VLP were close to those described for the major part of known members of the Isochrisidaceae and Pavlovaceae families, respectively, with the main differences due to the higher percentages of 18:1n9 (18.5%), 18:4n3 (12.6%) and 22:6n3 (9.3%) in the former. The corresponding fatty acid percentages for D. vlkianum VLP were 3.9%, 3.5% and 3.9%, respectively. D. vlkianum VLP showed higher 16:1n7 (16.1%) and 20:5n3 (9.4%) contents, whereas P. paradoxa VLP had significantly lower percentages of 16:1n7 (1.7%) and 20:5n3 (0.6%). Fatty acids of BL differed between both haptophytes. In DGTS from P. paradoxa VLP, 90.9% of total molecular species consisted of the 14:0–18:1 fatty acid combination, whereas DGTS from D. vlkianum showed a more diverse range of fatty acids. The unsaturation index (UI) of DGTS was lower (55.8) than that of total lipid UI (178.3) in P. paradoxa VLP. In D. vlkianum VLP the UI of DGTS was higher (146.9) and similar to that for total cell lipids (145.9). DGTA from D. vlkianum VLP had the highest UI (321.8) of all BL studied and it contained maximum levels (27.7%) of 22:6n3, representing 7.1 times the proportion of this fatty acid in the whole lipid extract. DGCC was enriched in 20:5n3 by a factor of around four in both microalgae. Due to different levels of this fatty acid in the two microalgae their respective 20:5n3 content in DGCC varied from 2.2% (P. paradoxa VLP) to 41.0% (D. vlkianum VLP) and these concentrations were also associated with UI values of 92.2 and 271.0, respectively. The specific differences in BL and fatty acids described in the present work for two phylogenetic distant Hatophytes is a contribution to a better understanding on the complex relationship between lipid composition and taxonomy of this important Division of microalgae. Present results can also be useful for a more accurate identification of primary producers in food web studies using fatty acids and intact polar lipids as trophic markers.  相似文献

Three variations of the radioallergosorbent (RAST)-inhibition assay (RI) have been compared for measuring the allergenic activity of grass pollen extracts. The main difference between the three assays consisted in the solid supports to which the allergens were coupled. These supports were paper disks, microcrystalline cellulose, and Matrex. It could be demonstrated that all three variations of RI yielded almost identical results as expressed by their F value (Fo). Correlations between the three methods were highly significant (P < 0.001). Three independent valid assays showed an excellent reproducibility of each test system (P < 0.01). Three different preparations of each of the supports yielded highly reproducible Fo (0.76 ± 3% SD). Evaluation of the 50% inhibition values achieved with the different assays based on protein showed differences between the three supports. Provided the same allergen extract is coupled to the different solid supports and the results are related to a reference preparation, different laboratories using different forms of RI will be able to compare their results.  相似文献

BackgroundDiscovered by Nicolle and Comte in 1908 in Tunisia, Leishmania infantum is an intracellular protozoan responsible for zoonotic canine leishmaniosis (CanL) and zoonotic human visceral leishmaniasis (HVL). It is endemic in several regions of the world, including Tunisia, with dogs considered as the main domestic reservoir. The geographic expansion of canine leishmaniosis (CanL) has been linked to global environmental changes that have affected the density and the distribution of its sand fly vectors.Methodology/Principal findingsIn this study, a cross-sectional epidemiological survey on CanL was carried out in 8 localities in 8 bioclimatic areas of Tunisia. Blood samples were taken from 317 dogs after clinical examination. Collected sera were tested by indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT; 1:80) for the presence of anti-Leishmania infantum antibodies. The overall seroprevalence was 58.3% (185/317). Among positive dogs, only 16.7% showed clinical signs suggestive of leishmaniosis. Seroprevalence rates varied from 6.8% to 84.6% and from 28% to 66% by bioclimatic zone and age group, respectively. Serological positivity was not statistically associated with gender. The presence of Leishmania DNA in blood, using PCR, revealed 21.2% (64/302) prevalence in dogs, which varied by bioclimatic zone (7.3% to 31%) and age group (7% to 25%). The entomological survey carried out in the studied localities showed 16 species of the two genera (Phlebotomus and Sergentomyia). P. perniciosus, P. papatasi, and P. perfiliewi were the most dominant species with relative abundances of 34.7%, 25% and 20.4%, respectively.Conclusions/SignificanceThe present report suggests a significant increase of CanL in all bioclimatic areas in Tunisia and confirms the ongoing spread of the infection of dogs to the country’s arid zone. Such an expansion of infection in dog population could be attributed to ecological, agronomic, social and climatic factors that affect the presence and density of the phlebotomine vectors.  相似文献

The satellite bands of the DNA of Drosophila virilis   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
Purified DNA has been prepared from Drosophila virilis using a modification of the method derived for bacteria (Marmur, 1961). Some physical properties have been examined, a new hidden satellite discovered, and a difference found in the satellite banding pattern of different tissues. — In addition to the three satellite bands lighter than the main band previously reported (Gall et al., 1970), a new satellite heavier than the main band has been detected after thermal denaturation of the DNA (which substantially shifts the buoyant density of the main band but not that of the satellites indicating that all are fast-annealing). The satellite pattern of DNA extracted from heads alone differed from that of the entire animals: the amount of satellite I was decreased and II increased; III was unaffected; IV was increased relative to the amount in the main band. The total content of satellite material in the heads (assumed to be entirely diploid) was 42%, the highest amount reported for any organism. — Thermal transitions were determined for the DNA from adults and larvae. After preparative CsCl density gradient fractionation of adult DNA, two sets of bimodal thermal curves were obtained (in SSC) with agreement between the initial position in the preparative gradient, the thermal transitions, and the G+C content from density except for satellite III for which the Tm gave a more accurate G+C amount. DNA from satellites I and II together generated a Tm of 81.2° which was similar to a calculated Tm of 81.9° making the naive assumption that the thermal components of the two satellites would interact in a simple additive fashion. A Tm of 71.9° was ascribed to satellite III which indicates that it is not the equivalent of the poly (A-T) band found at the same density in D. melanogaster (Fansler et al., 1970). The calculated overall base composition from the density equivalents (using the value for satellite III from thermal data) gave an expected G+C content of 36.6%. The measured value was 36.0%. The possible significance of the differential satellite pattern has been discussed.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: Cutaneous angiosarcoma of head and neck (cAS-HN) is a malignant neoplasm with deficient data on prognostic factors. The aim of this study is to present our monocenter database on cAS-HN so far and a new predictive score for locoregional metastasis (LRM). METHODS: Retrospectively, tumor characteristics and outcome of 103 consecutive patients with cAS-HN were analyzed. The main predictors of LRM (identified by univariate and multivariate statistics) were combined to a LRM risk score. The prognostic values of stratification into high-, medium-, and low-risk groups concerning disease-specific survival (DSS), distant metastasis (DM), and progression-free survival (PFS) were evaluated. RESULTS: LRM (n = 29) and control (n = 74) groups differed significantly concerning several tumor characteristics and outcome (DM, PFS, and DSS). Patients developing LRM showed 3-, 5-, and 10-year survival rates of 32%, 16%, and 11% (mean DSS time of 36.7 months [95% confidence interval (CI) 20.5-52.8]) compared to 81%, 73%, and 69% (mean DSS time of 292.4 months [95% CI 208.4-376.5]) in controls without LRM (P < .001). The main predictors were American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) stage, tumor extent, and origin of the primary tumor. The LRM risk score revealed significant higher values for the LRM group [7.14 (SD 1.46) vs 4.88 (SD 1.89), P < .001]. The high-risk group showed significantly higher risk for DM and more unfavorable DSS and PFS. CONCLUSION: The LRM risk score is a simple way to estimate the risk for LRM and DM, to stage patients, and to determine treatment options.  相似文献
