Discomycetes of the family Hyaloscyphaceae were collected from across Japan and identified. In this report, non-glassy-haired members of the tribe Hyaloscypheae, subfamily Hyaloscyphoideae are described and illustrated. The five species involved include one new species (Phialina lacrimiformis) and four species less well known or newly reported in Japan (Dematioscypha dematiicola, Hamatocanthoscypha laricionis var.Iaricionis, Micropodia chrysostigma, M. grisella). cultural studies were carried out, and teleomorph-anamorph relationships are discussed forD. dematiicola, H. laricionis val.laricionis and their anamorphs. A key to the genera of the tribe Hyaloscypheae in Japan is provided.  相似文献

Fungal specimens of discomycetes in the family Hyaloscyphaceae were collected from across Japan and identified. In this report, glassy members of the tribe Hyaloscypheae, subfamily Hyaloscyphoideae are described and illustrated. The 7 species involved include two new species (Urceolella brunneola andU. pseudopani), and five species new to Japan (Hyalopeziza millepunctata, H. pygmaea, Mollisina uncinata, Urceolella carestiana andU. crispula). Cultural studies were carried out, and the anamorph is discussed forM. uncinata. Mycoscience38: 171–186, 1997.  相似文献

Two species were newly identified in Japan. Lachnum lanariceps was characterized by a central and cylindrical stipe and hairs containing pale yellow pigment with red or garnet resinous matter. Lachnum oncospermatum was identified after comparison with the holotype of Dasyscyphus oncospermatis. This fungus has the characteristics of wrinkled apothecium and branched stipe.  相似文献

Three Hyphodiscus species are described and illustrated: Hyphodiscus otanii sp. nov., Hyphodiscus hymeniophilus, and H. theiodeus, which is new to Japan. Culture studies revealed Phialophora-like anamorphs. Catenulifera gen. nov. is proposed for the anamorph of Hyphodiscus. The history of the genus is reviewed. Hyphodiscus can be delimited to members with gelatinized excipulum, Cistella-like hairs with more coarse granulation, small asci, ascospores with conspicuous globules, cylindrical, flexuous paraphyses, and a Catenulifera anamorph. A new jawfish,Stalix toyoshio, is described on the basis of three specimens (41.5–43.2 mm SL) collected from a depth of 77 m in the Tanegashima Straits, southern Kyushu, Japan. This species is distinguished from otherStalix by the following combination of characters: no stripes, blotches or spots on body and vertical fins; cephalic pores well developed; brown speckles on head; no pigmentation between the 4th mandibular pores on both sides; less pigmentation on anterior gular region; anterior two mandibular pores confluent; and 6th dorsal fin spine strongly forked.  相似文献

A new species of frogfish,Antennatus flagellatus, is described on the basis of two specimens from Kashiwajima Island, Kochi Pref., southern Japan. It is distinguished from congeneric species as follows: illicium long, more than 40% SL and about 3.6 times length of second dorsal spine; caudal peduncle present.  相似文献

A new species of the genusLaboulbenia, L. diplocheilae, has been established for specimens on the host genusDiplocheila (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Licinini).Laboulbenia diplocheilae is easily distinguished fromL. proliferans var.divaricata onChlaenius by the absence of a black constriction on the outermost branch of the outer appendage and by the simple stalks subtending grouped antheridia borne on appendage branches in the middle of the appendage system.  相似文献

Distopyrenis japonica sp. nov. is described from Chiba-ken, central Japan. It is characterized by simple ascomata with a sublateral ostiole, and narrow ascospores (12–15×5–6 μm) with a euseptum developed in the median distoseptum. In the holotype, the fungus seems to grow parasitically on a crustose lichen,Graphis proserpens. This is the first record of a lichenicolous habit amongDistopyrenis.  相似文献

A new zoarcid fish,Lycenchelys aurantiaca, is described on the basis of 10 specimens (86.3–135.8 mm SL) from depths of 500–700 m along the Pacific coast of northern Honshu, Japan. Although this species resemblesLycenchelys alta andL. squamosa in having a smaller number of vertebrae (85–88) and a rather short body, it is distinguished from them by the following characters: pectoral fin rays 13–16; preoperculomandibular pores 7 (4 mandibular pores+3 preopercular pores); reddish yellow body.  相似文献

A new gobiid species,Acanthogobius insularis, is described from 88 specimens collected from Amami-oshima Island and Okinawa Island, Ryukyu Islands, southern Japan. The species is distinguished from its congeners by the combination of dorsal and anal fin ray counts, vertebral counts, cephalic sensory system patterns and coloration.  相似文献

A new species of cyclopoid copepod, Ochridacyclops nipponensis is described from Japan. This is the third species of the genus. The type material was collected from small streams in the mountainous regions in Shikoku. The new species can easily be distinguished from other members of genus by its 12-segmented antennule, by the proportional length of genital double-somite relative to the length of 3 free abdominal somites, and by the shape of caudal rami. The male is unknown.  相似文献

TheLaboulbenia exigua group comprises seven species. Three of these species are described as new to science, and two new varieties ofL. exigua and one new variety ofL. balazucii are distinguished and described. New taxa areL. yamadae, L. consobrina, L. gebleri, L. exigua var.yaeyamae, L. exigua var.melanolabiata andL. balazucii var.exilis. This fungus group is characterized by grayish yellow to gray-brown thalli with simple inner and outer appendages, dark-spotted or streaked receptacles, and perithecia containing narrow ascospores 3–4–(–5) µm in width; the species and varieties occur onChlaenius (Carabidae) and closely allied taxa. The bilobed apex of mature perithecium, owing to the rounded apices of the posterior apical cells of the outer wall cell rows, and 3-celled, curved inner appendage in young thalli, and the deciduous antheridium are also characteristic of this group.  相似文献

Actiniceps thwaitesii (Pterulaceae) new to Japan andAnastrophella podocarpicola sp. nov. (Tricholomataceae) are described and illustrated. The former is characterized by forming stipitate-capitate basidiomata under 1 mm tall with encrusted cystidia and acanthophyses. The latter, occurring on a decaying leaf ofPodocarpus macrophyllus, differs from other taxa ofAnastrophella in having undifferentiated hymenial cystidia and smaller basidiospores and basidia. Their cultural features are also presented.  相似文献
