 辽东栎(Quercus liaotungensis)是中国特有的栎林树种,也是中国暖温带落叶阔叶林的主要优势树种之一。铆钉菇(Gomphidius viscidus)和臭红菇(Russula foetens)是在自然环境中与其共生形成外生菌根的真菌。在温室花盆中播种辽东栎种子获得辽东栎幼苗,并对幼苗接种铆钉菇和臭红菇合成外生菌根,比较了有菌根和无菌根辽东栎幼苗生长、光合蒸腾特性、氮磷含量的差异。外生菌根对辽东栎幼苗的生长有明显的促进作用,有菌根幼苗的生物量、株高、净光合速率和水分利用效率高于无菌根幼苗,蒸腾速率则相反。有菌根幼苗的氮磷含量分别为无菌根幼苗的1.7倍和2.2倍,外生菌根的合成还改变了氮磷在幼苗器官间的分配比例,与无菌根幼苗相比,有菌根幼苗茎中的氮磷减少,而叶片中的磷显著增加。同时接种铆钉菇和臭红菇的生长促进效果优于单独接种。  相似文献

Picea glehnii seedlings whose ages ranged from 2 to 5 years and which were growing in aP. glehnii-Abies sachalinensis natural forest where the surface had been scarified 6 years before, were assessed for the occurrence and types of ectomycorrhizae. Based on the macro- and microscopic characteristics, 34 types of ectomycorrhizae were classified. The basidiomycetes were clearly dominant and it was common to observe more than one type of mycorrhiza occurring in the same root tip. The diversity of mycorrhizal types and the presence of at least one type of ectomycorrhiza in a single seedling, observed in this work, indicate a very dynamic system of mycorrhizal formation inP. glehnii seedlings, which allows them to survive and grow in a forest surface subjected to soil scarification.  相似文献

描述了两种乳菇属真菌在湿地松上形成菌根的形态学和组织学特征,结果表明两种真菌形成菌根在形态学和组织学上基本相似。其区别在于菌根的颜色及受伤后产生的乳汁的颜色。与文献报道的该属真菌形成的菌根的形态特征比较,表明具有乳汁菌丝是本属真菌形成菌根的共同特征。根据目前已有资料给出了乳菇属真菌所形成菌根的检索表。  相似文献

Effects of N addition and drought on ectomycorrhizae of Norway spruce trees were investigated in an outdoor pot lysimeter study. Three levels of N were applied as ammonium nitrate in irrigation water for five years; ambient rainwater (N0) and 5 (N5) and 15 (N15) times this N concentration. Mean annual N addition during the five years corresponded to 5, 27 and 82 kg·ha-1·y-1 for the N0, N5 and N15 treatments, respectively. During the third and fifth growth seasons two levels (lengths) of drought were artificially induced in addition to a watered control. Soil cores taken from each pot lysimeter were analyzed for mycorrhizal colonization and ectomycorrhizae were categorized according to macroscopic morphology. Drought decreased mycorrhizal colonization significantly. There was a significant interaction of drought and N effects on reduction of the mycorrhizal colonization. Although all of the mycorrhiza types were influenced by drought, only Cenococcum geophilum showed a significant change. N treatment alone did not show any significant effect either on mycorrhizal colonization or mycorrhizal types.  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Tuberculate ectomycorrhizae are a unique form of ectomycorrhiza where densely packed clusters of mycorrhizal root tips are enveloped by a thick hyphal sheath to form a tubercle. The functional significance of such a unique structure has not previously been established. The purpose of the present study was to investigate and measure the potential nitrogenase activity associated with Suillus tomentosus/Pinus contorta tuberculate ectomycorrhizae in two stand ages, young and old, and across a range of nitrogen-poor soil conditions. METHODS: Short roots were compared with other mycorrhizae and non-mycorrhizal secondary roots using tuberculate ectomycorrhizae. Assessment of nitrogenase activity was determined and quantitative measurements were taken on tuberculate ectomycorrhizae in situ in a variety of different circumstances, by using an adaptation of the acetylene reduction assay. KEY RESULTS: Significant nitrogenase activity was measured associated with S. tomentosus/P. contorta tuberculate ectomycorrhizae whereas no nitrogenase activity was measured with non-tuberculate mycorrhizae or secondary roots without mycorrhizae. Average nitrogenase activity ranged from undetectable to 5696.7 nmol C2H4 g(-1) tubercle 24 h(-1). Maximum nitrogenase activity was 25,098.8 nmol C2H4 g(-1) tubercle 24 h(-1). Nitrogenase activity was significantly higher in young stands than in old stands of P. contorta. Season or some covariate also seemed to affect nitrogenase activity and there was suggestion of a site effect. CONCLUSIONS: Suillus tomentosus/P. contorta tuberculate ectomycorrhizae are sites of significant nitrogenase activity. The nitrogenase activity measured could be an important contribution to the nitrogen budget of P. contorta stands. Season and stand age affect levels of nitrogenase activity.  相似文献

 High concentrations of heavy metals in soil have an adverse effect on micro-organisms and microbial processes. Among soil microorganisms, mycorrhizal fungi are the only ones providing a direct link between soil and roots, and can therefore be of great importance in heavy metal availability and toxicity to plants. This review discusses various aspects of the interactions between heavy metals and mycorrhizal fungi, including the effects of heavy metals on the occurrence of mycorrhizal fungi, heavy metal tolerance in these micro-organisms, and their effect on metal uptake and transfer to plants. Mechanisms involved in metal tolerance, uptake and accumulation by mycorrhizal hyphae and by endo- or ectomycorrhizae are covered. The possible use of mycorrhizal fungi as bioremediation agents in polluted soils or as bioindicators of pollution is also discussed. Accepted: 23 June 1997  相似文献

松树外生菌根菌资源丰富,但实际应用的种类不多。为筛选出与松苗形成菌根能力较强的菌种,采用播种接菌和芽苗截根移栽接菌两种方法,对7株外生菌根真菌与马尾松、湿地松和黑松3种松苗的菌根合成进行了研究。结果表明:形成的菌根以二叉分枝状为主,棒状菌根相对较少,多叉状菌根以马尾松较多。PC2形成的菌根表面菌丝厚且紧密,504、EG、Pt,形成的菌根表面菌丝紧密程度中等,而505、ZJ和HX形成的菌根其表面菌丝则比较稀疏;Pt1、Pt2、EG形成的菌根外延菌丝较长,而505、HX形成的菌根外延菌丝极短。截根接菌时的感染率和感染指数要高于播种接菌。504形成菌根的能力最强,在3种松苗上的菌根感染率都达100%,感染指数最高可达90,最低也达70;Pt2和EG与马尾松和黑松形成菌根的能力较强;而505和HX仅与马尾松形成菌根的能力较强;Pt1形成菌根的能力较差,在3种松苗上菌根感染率和感染指数都较低。在3种松苗中,马尾松的菌根化状况最好,其次为黑松,湿地松的菌根化状况较差。  相似文献

The effects of several monoterpenes and the sesquiterpene longifolene on the vegetative growth of two mycorrhizal fungi, Boletus variegatus and Rhizopogon roseolus, were studied in petri plate experiments on an agar medium. The test substances are natural constituents of Pinus silvestris (Scots pine) roots. Vapors from 20 μl of all the test substances, upon a 5 day exposure inhibited the growth of both the mycorrhizal fungi 55% to 86%. The two fungi, however, differed in their tolerance to individual compounds. It is suggested that the terpenes and the sesquiterpenes play an important role in the development of the symbiotic condition in ectomycorrhizae by restricting the growth of the mycorrhizal fungi within the host root.  相似文献

Recently, ergosterol analysis has been used to quantify viable fungal biomass in resynthesized ectomycorrhizae. An objective of our study was to quantify ergosterol in a range of ectomycorrhizal isolates under differing growth conditions. In addition, we tested the applicability of the method on field-collected roots of ectomycorrhizal and vesicular-arbuscular (VA) mycorrhizal plants. Quantification of sitosterol as a biomass indicator of plant roots was also undertaken. Ergosterol was not detected in roots of uninoculated Betula populifolia seedlings, and sitosterol was not detected in an ectomycorrhizal fungal isolate but was present in birch roots. Ergosterol was produced in all isolates examined, which represented the major orders of ectomycorrhizal fungi. The range of values obtained, from 3 to nearly 18 g ergosterol mg-1 dry mass, agrees well with reported values for other mycorrhizal and decomposer fungi. Hyphal ergosterol was the same during growth on phytic acid and KH2PO4. Reduction of growth temperature from 25° C to 15° C had little effect on ergosterol content of cultures harvested at similar growth stages. Ergosterol and sitosterol were detected in field-collected ectomycorrhizae of B. populifolia and Pinus sylvestris and VA mycorrhizae of Acer rubrum and Plantago major. Both ergosterol content and ergosterol to sitosterol ratios were significantly lower in VA mycorrhizae than ectomycorrhizae. Calculations of viable fungal biomass associated with field-collected roots were in agreement with those reported by others using the method on resynthesized ectomycorrhizae. Estimates of total mass could be obtained for field-collected B. populifolia roots by a simultaneously using ergosterol to estimate fungal biomass and sitosterol to estimate root mass. Some potential applications and limitations of sterol quantification in studies of mycorrhizal physiology and ecology are discussed.  相似文献

Roots of canopy bromeliads of a seasonal tropical forest were observed for mycorrhizal activity and compared with plants rooted in the soil during the later part of the growing season. No vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizae or ectomycorrhizae were observed in the bromeliads. However, some interesting septate fungi were observed within the cortex of all samples where the roots were present in organic matter trapped in the canopy. All 15 soil-rooted plant species we observed were vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizal. While no known mycorrhizal types were apparently present in these canopy epiphytes, we cannot rule out the possible formation of symbioses between canopy epiphytes and other fungi in these habitats.  相似文献

Abstract The long-nosed potoroo (Potorous tridactylus), a medium-sized, ground-dwelling marsupial, inhabits the foothills and coastal forests of southeastern mainland Australia. Faecal analysis confirmed the mycophagous habit of P. tridactylus at a eucalypt forest site in East Gippsland, Victoria; in one month, the spores of 33 different fungi were identified. The majority of species (27) were hypogeal or subhypogeal gasteromycetes that form ectomycorrhizae with forest trees and shrubs, and included the widespread and common Mesophellia pachytrix. The possible role of mycophagy in establishment of eucalypt-fungal mycorrhizae was investigated in several ways. Fungal spores were viable after passage through the gut of P. tridactylus; application of spore-bearing faeces to seedlings of Eucalyptus sieberi and Eucalyptus globoidea grown in sterile soil produced ectomycorrhizae. Spores of M. pachythrix were among the most common spores in these faeces and some of the resulting ectomycorrhizae were of the type expected from M. pachythrix. In contrast, direct application of M. pachythrix spores from sporocarp tissue to seedlings produced no ectomycorrhizae. Ectomycorrhizae also were established on seedlings grown in unsterilized forest soil, indicating that soil-borne spores had been conditioned, either by passage through the gut of a mammal or some other means, for reaction with the roots of eucalypts. Addition of faeces improved root and shoot growth of seedlings, although we could not determine whether this was primarily due to the formation of ectomycorrhizae, the addition of nutrients in the faeces, or a combination of both. Potorous tridactylus may enhance the re-establishment of mycorrhizal colonies in logged and/or burned forest sites by dispersing in its faeces, the spores of mycorrhizal fungi from sporocarps consumed within the disturbed area, as well as spores from sporocarps eaten in adjacent undisturbed habitat. In performing this function, P. tridactylus may also aid in the recovery of regenerating silvertop ash-stringybark forests.  相似文献

The herbicide Simazine is widely used in forestry nurseries.Its effect on the incidence of ectomycorrhizae on pine seedlingroot systems was investigated. Under field (nursery) conditions,at routine rates of application, Simazine does not inhibit mycorrhizaldevelopment in Pinus sylvestris and P. nigra, and it may, undersome conditions, actually enhance mycorrhizal formation. Sucha stimulatory effect was also obtained with pot-grown seedlingstreated with the herbicide. It is suggested that soil type andclimatic factors might be involved in determining the responseto Simazine. The mode of stimulation of mycorrhizal developmentby this herbicide is not understood, but it is not via suppressionof weed growth. Protozoan communities around roots with different types of ectomycorrhizae were distinct. These protozoan communities differed both qualitatively and quantitatively with the host (Pinus ponderosa, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Picea sitchensis, Tsuga heterophylla and Abies grandis) and the ectomycorrhizal fungal species. Based on the species identified and the numbers of individuals of each species, six communities of protozoa were found associated with specific ectomycorrhizae. Previous researchers have shown that mycorrhizal colonization of roots alters the amounts and types of exudates produced by roots, which in turn alters the bacterial community present. Most likely, mycorrhizal colonization of roots influences the protozoan community around roots by controlling the bacterial community. However, the protozoan community may in turn influence the successional dynamics of ectomycorrhizal fungi on different host root systems by a variety of mechanisms. These mechanisms could include: (1) preying upon individuals and perhaps removing particular species of bacteria from the mycorrhizosphere; and (2) controlling nitrogen mineralization in the rhizosphere. Further work needs to be performed to determine the interaction between these quadrate (plant-bacteria-fungi-protozoa) associations.  相似文献

植物根资源捕获塑性是地下生态学研究的重点之一, 在过去二三十年间有长足的进步。菌根塑性是根资源捕获塑性的重要方面, 但由于研究手段的限制, 目前仅有概念上的探讨。缺乏菌根塑性的根塑性研究至少是不全面的。菌根生物学的迅速发展, 尤其是分子生物学手段的介入, 使对菌根塑性进行深入研究成为可能。该文对外生菌根塑性进行讨论, 在简要介绍了外生菌根的生物学基本知识后, 着重讨论了外生菌根形态塑性和生理塑性的定义与内涵。通过文献综述, 分析讨论了外生菌根塑性的研究现状: 很少有研究聚焦在菌根塑性本身, 现有的材料多为其他研究的隐示或研究结果的引申, 并多在形态塑性方面。外生菌根的生理塑性未见有直接的实验数据。该文还对外生菌根研究中发展的、可用于菌根塑性研究的方法进行了综述。由于外生菌根塑性的复杂性, 对菌根塑性的研究会较植物根本身塑性的研究复杂得多, 问题也会相对复杂, 比如植物和外生菌根菌之间的营养需求关系、植物外生菌根塑性的生态意义、实验方法的缺陷等等。对今后外生菌根塑性研究的方向进行了探讨。  相似文献

Summary Roots of two year old willow and poplar planted as cuttings in copper and iron mine tailings were stained intact and examined microscopically for mycorrhizal development. Incidence of mycorrhizae was related to tree vigor and to chemical and physical properties of the tailings. Results showed that no mycorrhizal development occurred on roots of these tree species in the copper tailings; inoculations with natural forest soil extract failed to initiate this symbiosis. Tops and roots of the willow and poplar were stunted and survival was poor. Roots in the iron mine tailings developed extensive ectomycorrhizae and trees showed good growth. Presence of mycorrhizae was confirmed and external morphology examined with the scanning electron microscope. Boletus edulis is a well-known ectomycorrhizal mushroom. Although cultivation has been widely attempted, no artificial fruiting has been achieved owing to difficulties associated with mycorrhizal synthesis and acclimatization in fields. We collected fifteen B. edulis basidiomata samples from locations in Japan and identified them microscopically and by phylogenetic analysis of their nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions. Pure culture isolates of B. edulis were established efficiently on malt extract agar medium, and one isolate, EN-63, was inoculated to axenic Pinus densiflora seedlings in vitro. Brownish ectomycorrhizal tips were observed on the pine lateral roots within four months of inoculation. Ten pine seedlings that formed ectomycorrhizae were acclimatized under laboratory and greenhouse conditions. At four months after transplant, mycorrhizal colonization by B. edulis was observed on newly grown root tips under laboratory conditions, but no B. edulis ectomycorrhiza survived under greenhouse conditions. These results suggest that B. edulis ectomycorrhizae synthesized in vitro with P. densiflora requires additional steps for acclimatization to greenhouse conditions.  相似文献

Studies on the Nitrogen Metabolism in Ectomycorrhizae   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Free and bound amino acids in the mycorrhizal and nonmycorrhizal root systems of Pinus nigra Arnold and Corylus avellna L. grown under semi-natural conditions were analyzed through automatic amino acid analyzers. Tuber brumale Vitt. and T. melanosporum Vitt. were the respective fungal symbionts. Arginine and citrulline were found to accumulate in large quantities in the free pool of the uninoculated P. nigra and C. avellana root systems respectively. In the mycorrhizal root systems these substances decreased in their levels with a parallel increase in the concentrations of glutamine and asparagine. Implications of these changes are discussed with reference to ectomycorrhizae. In general the majority of the identified free amino acids were found in larger concentrations in both the types of mycorrhizal root systems. Results obtained suggested that this may not be due to proteolysis but due to increased biosynthesis. Possible interrelationships in ectomycorrhizal root systems with reference to nitrogen metabolism are presented in the form of a scheme.  相似文献
