Blood and saliva from 495 Ethiopan baboons were collected in the field and tested for their human-type A-B-O groups while 493 blood samples were tested for their simian-type blood factors Ap, Bp, Cp, Gp, Np, ca and hu. Four series of feral animals were tested: 194 olive baboons, a troop of 82 and another of 90 hamadryas baboons, and a series of 129 baboons classified as olive/hamadryas hybrids. In addition, 126 baboons from other sources were tested for their human-type A-B-O groups and 131 for their simian-type blood groups. Human-type groups A, B and AB but not group O were found in combined series of 621 animals. Gene frequency analysis also indicated the absence of group O. Population analysis of the data obtained for the 493 Ethiopian baboons has shown that the simian-type blood groups Ap and Bp are independent of one another. In contrast Bp and Gp appear to be determined by corresponding allelic genes; if confirmed by population data on additional series of animals, this would define the first baboon blood group system found. There is a close association between the blood group specificities ca and hu, the exact nature of which still remains to be clarified. Blood group ca, originally believed to be species specific, is found to be polymorphic in both olive baboons and hamadryas as well as in the hybrids; hu, on the other hand, present in all hamadryas tested, is polymorphic only in olive baboons.  相似文献

The normal ranges of hematological cell profiles and biochemistry are documented in adult non-pregnant, pregnant, juvenile, and neonatal baboons. Despite the extensive use of the baboon as a model for the study of various aspects of pregnancy, there is no data from paired mothers and their fetuses at different stages of gestation. Hematologic and biochemical profile data were obtained from eight non-pregnant female baboons, 37 mothers and 38 fetal baboons at 30 +/- 2, 90 +/- 2, 125 +/- 2, and 175 +/- 2 days of gestation (mean +/- range; dGA; term, 180 dGA). Changes observed in fetal and maternal blood during normal baboon pregnancy were similar to those reported in human pregnancy. The level of alkaline phosphatase was two times higher in fetal blood circulation than that reported in human pregnancy.  相似文献

In a population of wild baboons living in East Africa, we have observed endocrine differences among individuals as a function of dominance rank. Among these differences, we previously observed indirect evidence for dominant males being more. responsive to sympathetic catecholamines than were subordinate males. The present report tests this explicitly. Male baboons of known rank were anesthetized, and sympathetic and parasympathetic activity was pharmacologically inhibited. In experiment I, males were challenged with epinephrine; over a wide dose range, dominant males had the largest and fastest rises in systolic pressure, the greatest peak systolic pressure, and the most rapid recovery from the epinephrine challenge. Similar rank-related differences in heart rate response to epinephrine also occurred. Experiment II showed that this phenomenon probably reflects rank-related differences at both the heart and vasculature. As evidence, the same rank differences in systolic blood pressure responsiveness occurred when males were challenged with the alpha receptor agonist phenylephrine (which predominantly constricts systemic veins and arterioles), while the same rank differences in heart rate responses occurred following stimulation with the beta receptor agonist isoproterenol (which selectively works at the heart). These data were obtained from animals stressed by anesthetization, known to cause considerable glucocorticoid secretion in this population. Such steroids are well known for their capacity to augment catecholamine action. In experiment III, we blocked endogenous glucocorticoid secretion with the steroidogenesis inhibitor metyrapone, and repeated the epinephrine challenge. Under these conditions, the rank differences in epinephrine responsiveness were eliminated. Thus, dominant males are not so much preferentially sensitive to catecholamine action, as much as to the potentiating effects of glucocorticoids upon such action. 摘要 目的:探讨老年肥胖型正常高值血压患者24h-动态血压变异特点及与动脉僵硬度的相关性。方法:选择2018年1月~2020年5月期间在我院住院的老年正常高值血压患者174例作为研究对象,根据腰围分为腹型肥胖组(n=85)和非腹型肥胖组(n=89)。所有受试者监测24h-动态血压[包括24h平均收缩压(24h-SBP)、白昼平均舒张压(dDBP)、24h平均舒张压(24h-DBP)、夜间平均收缩压(nSBP)、白昼平均收缩压(dSBP)、夜间平均收缩压(nDBP)、血压变异系数(CV)]和颈-桡动脉脉搏传导速度(crPWV),分析24h-动态血压变异性、节律性特点和crPWV的影响因素。结果:腹型肥胖组患者非杓型血压、24h-SBP-CV、24h-DBP-CV、dSBP-CV、nSBP-CV、夜间SBP下降率以及crPWV均高于非腹型肥胖组(P<0.05),腹型肥胖组患者动脉僵硬度增高发生率高于非腹型肥胖组患者(P<0.05)。控制混杂因素后,腹型肥胖组患者腰围与夜间SBP下降率(r=0.338)、24h-SBP-CV(r=0.279)、24h-DBP-CV(r=0.259)、dSBP-CV(r=0.208)、nSBP-CV(r=0.317)、crPWV(r=0.543)呈正相关性(P<0.05)。经多元线性回归分析结果显示,腰围、LDL-C、夜间SBP下降率、24h-SBP-CV和nSBP-CV是crPWV的重要影响因素(P<0.05)。结论:腹部脂肪沉积对老年正常高值血压患者24h动态血压变异性和动脉僵硬度有显著影响,部分24h-动态血压参数与动脉僵硬度有关,控制腰围对预防动脉硬化有着重要的意义。  相似文献

Background  The baboons ( Papio cynocephalus ) have similarities with human placentation and fetal development. Fetal blood sampling allows investigators to assess fetal condition at a specific point in gestation as well as transplacental transfer of medications. Unfortunately, assessing fetal status during gestation has been difficult and fetal instrumentation associated with high rate of pregnancy loss. Our objectives are to describe the technique of ultrasound guided cordocentesis (UGC) in baboons, report post-procedural outcomes, and review existing publications.
Methods  This is a procedural paper describing the technique of UGC in baboons. After confirming pregnancy and gestational age via ultrasound, animals participating in approved research protocols that required fetal assessment underwent UGC.
Results  We successfully performed UGC in four animals (five samples) using this technique. Animals were sampled in the second and third trimesters with fetal blood sampling achieved by sampling a free cord loop, placental cord insertion site or the intrahepatic umbilical vein. All procedures were without complication and these animals delivered at term.
Conclusions  Ultrasound guided fetal umbilical cord venipuncture is a useful and safe technique to sample the fetal circulation with minimal risk to the fetus or mother. We believe this technique could be used for repeated fetal venous blood sampling in the baboons.  相似文献

目的:探讨原发性高血压(EH)患者24小时平均血压水平与血浆Apelin-36水平的相关性。方法:选择2009年6月一2010年6月在我院心内二科住院的EH患者146例为观察组,选择144例血压正常者作为对照组。抽取空腹静脉血,采用放射免疫法(RIA)检测所有研究对象的血浆Apelin-36水平。结果:①血压正常组血浆Apelin-36水平24.65±4.10pmol/l;EH组20.81±4.98 pmol/l;两组间比较有显著统计学差异(P〈0.01)。②EH患者者血浆Apelin-36水平与24小时平均收缩压、白天平均收缩压、夜间平均收缩压均呈负相关(P〈0.05)。结论:EH组血浆Apelin-36水平显著低于正常对照组,24小时平均血压越高,血浆Apelin-36水平越低,且血浆Apelin-36水平与24小时平均血压水平呈负相关。  相似文献

Genetic and inbreeding influences on systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and mean arterial blood pressure (MBP) were examined among 3015 children (1527 males and 1488 females) from the Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh in north India. The subjects included offspring of first cousins, first cousins once removed, second cousins and unrelated spouses from the same population. The measurements of the inbred children were compared with those of their non-inbred relatives in at least 80% of the cases (matched controls). Two unique findings emerge from this study. First a consistent increase in mean values of SBP, DBP and MBP with increasing inbreeding coefficients have been observed among all age groups, including both the sexes. The results suggest that the hypothesis for a recessive gene or genes could be held responsible for higher BP. Secondly, the effects of inbreeding on mean blood pressure among children and adults may not necessarily be in the same direction. It can be said, therefore, that studies on inbreeding effects using matched controls may provide more direct information regarding the genetics of blood pressure, which has been considerably underestimated in earlier studies.  相似文献

目的:除了血压水平的高低以外,血压波动也是造成人体靶器官损伤的独立危险因素。本研究以老年男性人群为研究对象,观察血压波动(BPV)与颈动脉斑块形成的关联性。方法:本研究选用1461名患有动脉硬化的老年男性患者为研究对象,将入选对象分为:非颈动脉斑块组和颈动脉斑块组,根据24小时动态血压测定(ABPM)中收缩压(SBP)、舒张N(DBP)的数据,用”个体血压波动法”测定每个患者的血压波动,分析探讨血压波动与颈动脉斑块形成之间的关联性。结果:①颈动脉斑块的形成与24小时收缩期血压波动(SBPV)密切相关(8-3±2.1mmHgVS7.9士2.0mmHg;P〈0.001),其中与白昼(6:00.22:00)SBPV有关(8.1±2.1mmHgVS7.7土2.1mmHg:P〈0.001),而与夜间(22:00-6:00)SBPV关系不明显(8,9±3.8mmHgVS8,6±3.7mmHg;P〉0.05)。②与24小时舒张期血压波动(DBPV)有关(5.6±1.4mmHgVS5.4±1.4mmHg;P〈0.05),其中与白昼(6:00.22:00)舒张期血压波动有关(5.4±1.4mmHgVS5.2士1.4mmHg;P〈0.05),而与夜间舒张期血压波动无关(6.2±2.7mmHgVS5.9±2.5mmHg;P〉0.05)。结论:在老年男性人群中,颈动脉斑块的形成与收缩期和舒张期血压波动均有关系,主要表现在白昼血压波动。  相似文献

目的 直接动脉血压(arterial blood pressure,ABP)连续监测是侵入式的,传统袖带式的间接血压测量法无法实现连续监测。既往利用光学体积描记术(photoplethysmography,PPG)实现了连续无创血压监测,但其为收缩压和舒张压的离散值,而非ABP波的连续值,本研究期望基于卷积神经网络-长短期记忆神经网络(CNN-LSTM)利用PPG信号波重建ABP波信号,实现连续无创血压监测。方法 构建CNN-LSTM混合神经网络模型,利用重症监护医学信息集(medical information mart for intensive care,MIMIC)中的PPG与ABP波同步记录信号数据,将PPG信号波经预处理降噪、归一化、滑窗分割后输入该模型,重建与之同步对应的ABP波信号。结果 使用窗口长度312的CNN-LSTM神经网络时,重建ABP值与实际ABP值间误差最小,平均绝对误差(mean absolute error,MAE)和均方根误差(root mean square error,RMSE)分别为2.79 mmHg和4.24 mmHg,余弦相似度最大,重建ABP值与实际ABP值一致性和相关性情况良好,符合美国医疗器械促进协会(Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation,AAMI)标准。结论 CNN-LSTM混合神经网络可利用PPG信号波重建ABP波信号,实现连续无创血压监测。  相似文献

We investigated whether biofeedback of the R-wave-to-pulse interval, a measure related to the pulse wave velocity, enables participants with either high or low arterial blood pressure to modify their blood pressure. Twelve participants with high blood pressure (mean systolic blood pressure = 142.6 ± 13.5 mmHg; mean diastolic blood pressure = 99.9 ± 12.3 mmHg) and 10 participants with low blood pressure (mean systolic blood pressure = 104.8 ± 6.6 mmHg; mean diastolic blood pressure = 73.2 ± 4.2 mmHg) received 3 individual sessions of RPI biofeedback within a 2-week period. Participants with high blood pressure were rewarded for decreasing and participants with low blood pressure for increasing their blood pressure. Standard arm-cuff blood pressure measurements across the sessions served as dependent variables. Participants with high blood pressure achieved significant reductions of systolic (15.3 mmHg) and diastolic (17.8 mmHg) blood pressure levels from the beginning of the first to the end of the last training session. In contrast, participants with low blood pressure achieved significant increases in systolic (12.3 mmHg) and diastolic (8.4 mmHg) blood pressure levels. The degree of blood pressure changes in this study might be of clinical relevance. With prolonged and refined training regimens, even larger effects seem to be likely.  相似文献

The role of low frequency flowmotion in physiological or pathophysiological settings is unclear.We performed various series of experiments in young anesthetized New Zealand white (NZW) rabbits. Many animals exhibited flowmotion during control conditions. However, they very often seemed to be in unstable physiological conditions, and our preset inclusion criteria (as to arterial pressure and blood gases) were frequently not met.Therefore, in a first series, we correlated these systematically with the incidence of flowmotion. Eleven of 35 anesthetized rabbits, subjected to extensive surgery, showed flowmotion with a median frequency of 1.5 cpm and a relative "amplitude" of 32%. Arterial pressure was 10 mmHg lower, bicarbonate, base-excess, and PCO(2) values and relative blood flow were also significantly lower compared to animals not exhibiting flowmotion.In a second series, we tested whether flowmotion could be induced by an isolated metabolic acidosis in animals meeting the inclusion criteria and not showing flowmotion at control. Here, flowmotion was induced in 9/10 cases (p < 0.01) 30 min after the start of an HCl-infusion.In a third study, we related the onset of flowmotion to the pressure/flow autoregulation curve. At locally reduced blood pressure all 23 rabbits exhibited flowmotion (p < 0,00001) in the gastrocnemius and the tenuissimus muscles, with maximum flowmotion at a locally reduced blood pressure of 30 mmHg; the LDF-flux level showing 67% of control flow.These results support the concept that low frequency periodic hemodynamics are a characteristic of pathophysiological conditions like hypoperfusion or acidosis rather than indicating a normal physiological state.  相似文献

市场上的电子血压计一般均采用示波法,采用间接测量原理,其准确性难以提高。柯氏音法是血压测量的金标准,有望提高自动血压测量准确性,但柯氏音的降噪和识别是难题。因此,提出了基于柯氏音识别法的自动血压测量系统,该系统解决了降噪和识别的难题,通过对实时柯氏音信号的测试表明该系统可以有效地识别出柯氏音,得出收缩压和舒张压,识别精度高。且该系统成本低廉,测试实验均造作于Android系统的手机上,易于实现社区血压的健康管理和远程监控。  相似文献

观察了家兔在-20、-40、-60mmHg下体负压下心输出量、心搏量、心率、血压以及心电图、脑电图、视网膜电图的变化。实验结果表明:心搏量与心输出量明显减少,在-60mmHg下作用10分钟两者可下降到负压前对照值的15%。心率大多数加快,以代偿心输出量的下降。如出现持续性心率过缓和心律不齐,标志代偿失调。收缩压、舒张压、平均动脉压、脉压均呈规律性下降。根据血压反应可将动物分为耐力良好、尚好、较差三种类型。心电图变化主要表现为冠脉供血不足,心肌缺氧特征,并伴有高尖状P波。脑电图出现缺氧性慢波、波幅降低。视网膜电图的b波波幅逐渐下降,持续期缩短,80%以上有b负波,这些变化可能与脑部及视网膜供血不足有关。  相似文献

A relationship between abdominal obesity and hypertension is well established. In search for an early-onset defect in adipocyte function linking these two conditions, we compared catecholamine sensitivity in subcutaneous abdominal fat cells with 24-hour systolic, mean arterial and diastolic blood pressure in 16 healthy, normotensive subjects. Clear inter-individual variations in the adipocyte lipolytic adrenoceptor sensitivity (pD2) for noradrenaline were observed in dose-response experiments (i.e., about 4 log units). An inverse and independent correlation was found between the 24-hour systolic blood pressure and pD2 for noradrenaline (r = ?0.67, p < 0.01). The mean arterial blood pressure was also negatively correlated to peripheral noradrenaline sensitivity (r = ?0.58, p < 0.05). However, no significant relationship between the 24-hour diastolic blood pressure and pD2 for noradrenaline was demonstrated. In conclusion we suggest that catecholamine resistance in subcutaneous fat cells may be associated with autonomic dysfunction and impaired blood pressure regulation. This finding is supported by the fact that both noradrenaline sensitivity and 24-hour systolic blood pressure also are correlated to the individual orthostatic heart rate responses, reflecting the sympathetic nervous system tone (r=0.61, p=0.01 and r= ?0.53, p=0.03, respectively). The relationship between noradrenaline sensitivity and systolic blood pressure may be of importance in the early development of hypertension in man.  相似文献

White and Seymour examined the scaling of central arterial blood pressure against body mass in mammals ranging in size from a 30 g mouse to a 4080 kg elephant. Exponents in power functions fitted to each of three datasets (systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure) were reported to be significantly greater than zero and indistinguishable from 0.33. The first of these outcomes would indicate that blood pressure increases with body size, whereas the second is consistent with the heart working against gravity to move blood to the head. Taken together, these results seemingly refute the notion that the cephalic circulation functions as an energy‐neutral siphon. However, the main findings by White and Seymour were presented in the form of graphs that distorted the relationships between the variables of interest. I use simple graphics to show that the data were unsuited from the outset for use in allometric analyses and that conclusions of the investigation are not well supported.  相似文献

Superoxide plays a role in blood pressure regulation in certain vascular diseases, however, its involvement in regulating basal blood pressure is uncertain. Vascular superoxide concentrations are limited by extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD), which is highly expressed in the vasculature of most animal species. Metalloporphyrins are low molecular weight, synthetic, redox-active, catalytic antioxidants that act as SOD mimetics. We evaluated the effects of metalloporphyrins on blood pressure in different animal species. The metalloporphyrin AEOL10113 (5–10 μg/kg iv), but not native or polyethylene glycol-CuZnSOD, caused a dose-dependent reduction in blood pressure in anesthetized rats. AEOL10113 had no effect on blood pressure in mice (wild-type or EC-SOD knockouts), guinea pigs, dogs, or baboons at doses up to 5 mg/kg iv Structure-activity studies indicated that metalloporphyrins with high SOD activity were more effective in lowering rat blood pressure than low-activity analogs. The blood pressure effect of AEOL10113 was not attributable to the release of manganese, nor was it affected by inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase (L-NAME) and guanylate cyclase (ODQ, 8-bromo-cGMP, and methylene blue) or nitric oxide scavengers (HbAo). Chlorpheniramine attenuated the effect, suggesting that the blood pressure response in rats is related to histamine release rather than the protection of nitric oxide.  相似文献

Objective: To describe and evaluate relationships between body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure, cholesterol, high‐density lipoprotein‐cholesterol (HDL‐C), and hypertension and dyslipidemia. Research Methods and Procedures: A national survey of adults in the United States that included measurement of height, weight, blood pressure, and lipids (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey III 1988–1994). Crude age‐adjusted, age‐specific means and proportions, and multivariate odds ratios that quantify the association between hypertension or dyslipidemia and BMI, controlling for race/ethnicity, education, and smoking habits are presented. Results: More than one‐half of the adult population is overweight (BMI of 25 to 29.9) or obese (BMI of ≥30). The prevalence of high blood pressure and mean levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure increased as BMI increased at ages younger than 60 years. The prevalence of high blood cholesterol and mean levels of cholesterol were higher at BMI levels over 25 rather than below 25 but did not increase consistently with increasing BMI above 25. Rates of low HDL‐C increased and mean levels of HDL‐C decreased as levels of BMI increased. The associations of BMI with high blood pressure and abnormal lipids were statistically significant after controlling for age, race or ethnicity, education, and smoking; odds ratios were highest at ages 20 to 39 but most trends were apparent at older ages. Within BMI categories, hypertension was more prevalent and HDL‐C levels were higher in black than white or Mexican American men and women. Discussion: These data quantify the strong associations of BMI with hypertension and abnormal lipids. They are consistent with the national emphasis on prevention and control of overweight and obesity and indicate that blood pressure and cholesterol measurement and control are especially important for overweight and obese people.  相似文献

A surgical technique is described for chronic arterial and venous catheterization of unrestrained adult baboons. Vascular access was achieved through a small (5 cm) abdominal incision and an extraperitoneal approach to the iliac vessels, which minimizes postoperative morbidity, discomfort, and restriction of movement. The method permits secure but nonocclusive catheterization, confirmed by angiography. Catheters were removed without further surgery, leaving the baboons intact for reuse. Catheters placed in the distal common or proximal external iliac vessels were all patent when removed at 46-61 days. The results demonstrate arterial pressure, pulse rates, drug administration, blood sampling, and plasma volume measurement as examples of the technique's application in conscious unrestrained baboons.  相似文献

In 33 patients with heart failure (NYHA 11-III), the 24-h blood pressure rhythm was examined before and after the titration period of two ACE inhibitors. Blood pressure was measured by the oscillometric method using the blood pressure monitor 90202 from SpaceLabs, Inc. The measurements were taken from 06:OO to 22:OO h every 20 min and from 22:00 to 06:00 h every hour. Patients were randomized to therapy with either captopril (group 1, n = 17) or enalapril (group 2, n = 16). The average daily dosage of captopril was 41 ± 3 mg given in three divided doses (08:00, 12:00, and 17:00 h). The mean dose of enalapril was 8 ± 1 mg once daily (08:00 h). Serum electrolytes, serum creatinine, and plasma renin activity were measured before and during therapy with both ACE inhibitors. Twenty-four-hour blood pressure measurements were taken before and on the fifth day of treatment with ACE inhibitors. Both groups were not different with respect to the degree of heart failure, the concomitant medication, and the 24-h profiles of blood pressure and heart rate before initiation of ACE inhibition. The 24-h blood pressure values on day 5 were consistently below the pretreatment values (p < 0.005) in both groups. Both groups did not differ significantly during ACE inhibition in their 24-h blood pressure and heart rate profiles. In both groups, the mesor of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased significantly by the same degree (by 4.7/5.1 mmg Hg in group 1 and 6.4/4.1 mm Hg in group 2). The systolic/diastolic blood pressure amplitude decreased slightly in both groups. Before treatment, serum sodium, potassium, and creatinine were within the normal range. The increase in potassium (0.5 ± 0.1 mmol/L) reached statistical significance (p < 0.01) only in the captopril group, whereas it was not significant in the enalapril group (0.1 ± 0.1 mmol/L). Serum creatinine was not significantly altered by both ACE inhibitors. No relationship could be found between the changes in serum potassium or creatinine and the mean of the 24-h blood pressure values during ACE inhibition. Captopril and enalapril showed comparable blood pressure profiles and similar effects on renal function at the end of the titration on day 5. It can therefore be concluded that the effects on blood pressure rhythm and renal function are similar with a single daily dose of enalapril compared to captopril given three times daily.  相似文献

目的:探究老年高血压患者颈动脉内膜中膜厚度(IMT)与动态血压参数间的相关关系,为老年高血压患者的临床治疗提供理论基础。方法:选取2015年1月至2016年1月在我院接受治疗的老年高血压患者204例,根据超声检查结果分为A、B、C三组,每组68例。24 h无创检测患者动态血压参数,包括24h平均收缩压(24h SBP),24 h平均舒张压(24h DBP)、白天平均收缩压(d SBP)、白天平均舒张压(d DBP)、夜间平均收缩压(n SBP)、夜间平均舒张压(n DBP),24h脉压(24h PP)及白天脉压(d PP)、夜间脉压(n PP),记录冠心病的发生率、杓型与非杓型高血压比例,利用Person相关性分析IMT与冠心病发生率及动态血压参数的相关性。结果:收缩压和脉压比较差异均有统计学意义(P0.05),其中B组、C组高于A组,C组高于B组,差异具有统计学意义(P0.05)。非杓型高血压在A组占54.41%,B组占60.29%,C组占79.41%,各组间差异有统计学意义(P0.05);A组、B组、C组冠心病发病率分别为41.18%、54.41%和91.18%,组间比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。IMT同冠心病发生率和24h SBP、d SBP、n SBP、24h PP、d PP、n PP呈正相关(r=0.876,0.448,0.378,0.476,0.443,0.491,0.438,P0.05)。结论:老年高血压患者收缩压,脉压升高以及非杓型高血压是造成颈动脉内膜中膜厚度增加的主要原因,同时,IMT与冠心病发病率和动态血压参数间呈正相关关系。  相似文献
