Zeolites with 1D pore channels, such as cancrinite (CAN) and mordenite (MOR), have the potential to be used as templates in the synthesis of subnanometre metal nanowires. Previous studies show a strong correlation between the location of Al atoms in zeolites and the positioning of the metal atoms inside the zeolite framework. Thus, Metropolis Monte Carlo simulations were used here to study the behaviour of Ni atoms within the CAN- and MOR-type zeolites at different Si/Al ratios and Ni loadings. It was found for both zeolite frameworks that a lower Si/Al ratio favoured energetically the positioning of Ni atoms in the 1D pore channels and that higher loadings of Ni promote the formation of 1D Ni structures. These results suggest that it is possible to use zeolites with the CAN and MOR frameworks and low Si/Al ratio as effective templates for the synthesis of metal nanowires.  相似文献

Sediment-water ammonium fluxes, oxygen uptake and sediment characteristics were studied in an estuarine bay influenced by temporal freshwater discharges. Sediment at seven stations representing a gradient imposed by freshwater inputs was sampled for sediment-water ammonium and oxygen fluxes, chlorophyll a derivative pigments, organic content, porosity and elemental composition (Fe, Mn, Si, Al). Oxygen uptake decreased along the gradient and correlated with total chlorophyll a derivatives indicating the close coupling between aerobic metabolism and short-time sedimentation events. Ammonium release showed a discontinuous pattern of decrease along the gradient and only correlated with the Fe:Mn atomic ratio. Correlation between the structural properties of the sediment (Si:Al atomic ratio, porosity and organic content) and ammonium release was also found (excluding data from the station with the highest ammonium flux). The extent of the influence of metabolism and sediment structure on ammonium release is discussed.  相似文献

Unique quantitative bioaccessibility data has been generated, and the influence of surface/material and test media characteristics on the elemental release process were assessed for silicon containing materials in specific synthetic body fluids at certain time periods at a fixed loading. The metal release test protocol, elaborated by the KTH team, has previously been used for classification, ranking, and screening of different alloys and metals. Time resolved elemental release of Si, Fe and Al from particles, sized less than 50 µm, of two grades of metallurgical silicon (high purity silicon, SiHG, low purity silicon, SiLG), an alloy (ferrosilicon, FeSi) and a mineral (aluminium silicate, AlSi) has been investigated in synthetic body fluids of varying pH, composition and complexation capacity, simple models of for example dermal contact and digestion scenarios. Individual methods for analysis of released Si (as silicic acid, Si(OH)4) in synthetic body fluids using GF-AAS were developed for each fluid including optimisation of solution pH and graphite furnace parameters. The release of Si from the two metallurgical silicon grades was strongly dependent on both pH and media composition with the highest release in pH neutral media. No similar effect was observed for the FeSi alloy or the aluminium silicate mineral. Surface adsorption of phosphate and lactic acid were believed to hinder the release of Si whereas the presence of citric acid enhanced the release as a result of surface complexation. An increased presence of Al and Fe in the material (low purity metalloid, alloy or mineral) resulted in a reduced release of Si in pH neutral media. The release of Si was enhanced for all materials with Al at their outermost surface in acetic media.  相似文献

The interactions of adenine and thymine with and adsorption on zeolites were studied using different techniques. There were two main findings. First, as shown by X-ray diffractometry, thymine increased the decomposition of the zeolites (Y, ZSM-5) while adenine prevented it. Second, zeolite Y adsorbed almost the same amount of adenine and thymine, thus both nucleic acid bases could be protected from hydrolysis and UV radiation and could be available for molecular evolution. The X-ray diffractometry and SEM showed that artificial seawater almost dissolved zeolite A. The adsorption of adenine on ZSM-5 zeolite was higher than that of thymine (Student-Newman-Keuls test-SNK p<0.05). Adenine was also more greatly adsorbed on ZSM-5 zeolite, when compared to other zeolites (SNK p<0.05). However the adsorption of thymine on different zeolites was not statistically different (SNK p>0.05). The adsorption of adenine and thymine on zeolites did not depend on pore size or Si/Al ratio and it was not explained only by electrostatic forces; rather van der Waals interactions should also be considered.  相似文献

目的:在胰岛素非注射给药研究中,经皮给药系统凭借其独特的优势,已成为近年来医药领域的研发重点。控释膜的研究是 经皮给药系统中一个重要组成部分,然而涉及胰岛素通过控释膜释放的研究报道不多。本实验室通过紫外光催化技术合成出一 种丙烯酸酯-PEG复合薄膜作为胰岛素控释膜。本实验目的在于考察该复合薄膜在24 小时内对胰岛素的体外控释作用,从而为 胰岛素经皮给药制剂的基础研究作出贡献。方法:通过紫外光固化方法合成丙烯酸酯-PEG400 复合薄膜,通过HPLC的方法考察 丙烯酸酯-PEG400 复合薄膜对不同浓度胰岛素溶液的控释作用,通过比较薄膜对不同浓度胰岛素溶液的累积渗透量及渗透速率 等参数,研究薄膜对胰岛素的控释规律。结果:实验数据显示:丙烯酸酯-PEG 复合薄膜对3.0 mg/mL,6.0 mg/mL,9.0 mg/mL 这三 种不同浓度胰岛素控释曲线的相关因子分别为:0.9921,0.9950,0.9964。相关因子均大于0.99,表明该薄膜能很好的控制胰岛素溶 液实现线性释放。经计算,薄膜对3.0 mg/mL,6.0 mg/mL,9.0 mg/mL 这三种浓度胰岛素的累积渗透量分别为:266.69 ug/cm2,343.65 ug/cm2,460.10 ug/cm2。渗透速率分别为:9.24 ug·cm-2·h-1,13.40 ug·cm-2·h-1,19.04 ug·cm-2·h-1。以上两组数据表明, 薄膜对胰岛素的累积渗透量及渗透速率随胰岛素浓度的增加而增大。结论:通过实验结果我们可以看出,丙烯酸酯-PEG复合薄 膜能控制不同浓度的胰岛素溶液以恒定速率释放,通过对比薄膜对各浓度胰岛素的累积渗透量及渗透速率等参数,发现该薄膜 对胰岛素的释放速率受胰岛素浓度调节,具体表现为随胰岛素浓度的增加而增加。因此该薄膜不仅可以稳定控制胰岛素实现零 级释放,而且可以通过调节胰岛素浓度实现调节胰岛素释放速率的目的。由此可以看出,该薄膜是一种理想的胰岛素控释膜。同 时本实验作为胰岛素控释膜的基础研究,也为日后以该薄膜为控释膜的胰岛素经皮给药制剂的研发打下了坚实的基础。  相似文献

Somatostatin release in dogs is modulated by exogenous and endogenous opioids. Since postprandial somatostatin secretion is in part due to the stimulatory effect of postprandially activated gastrointestinal hormones as well as endogenous opioids, it was of interest to determine the interaction between motilin, a known stimulus of somatostatin release, and endogenous opioids with regard to activation of D-cell function. In a group of eight conscious dogs the infusion of synthetic porcine motilin at doses of 0.05, 0.25 and 0.5 micrograms/kg X hr elicited a significant increase of peripheral vein plasma somatostatin-like immunoreactivity (SLI), confirming previously reported data. The additional infusion of the opiate receptor antagonist naloxone attenuated this SLI response, suggesting that endogenous opioids participate in motilin-induced SLI release. Since previous studies have shown that the interaction between endogenous opioids and postprandial somatostatin secretion is modified by elevated plasma glucose levels, the experiments were repeated during an IV glucose (0.2 g/min) background infusion increasing circulating glucose levels by 20-30 mg/dl. During IV glucose, the SLI response to motilin was almost abolished. In this group the addition of naloxone restored the SLI response, indicating that the inhibitory effect of elevated glucose on D-cell function is, at least in part, mediated by endogenous opioids. These data suggest that motilin has to be considered as one regulatory factor which participates in the previously observed interaction between glucose and endogenous opioids during postprandial SLI release.  相似文献

The eukaryotic diatoms are unicellular algae. They are well known for their filigree micro- and nanostructured cell walls which mainly consist of amorphous silica as well as various organic compounds. However, diatoms are also known to incorporate certain amounts of aluminium into their cell walls. Unexpectedly, enhanced Al concentrations in the Southern Yellow Sea were found to be correlated with a diatom spring bloom. Therefore, we have analyzed the influence of strongly enhanced Al concentrations in the culture medium upon the growth behaviour of the diatom Stephanopyxis turris (S. turris). The uptake and incorporation of Al into the cell walls was monitored. It turned out that S. turris survives aluminium concentrations up to 105.5 μM (2.85 mg/l) in the culture medium. Under the applied conditions, this corresponds to an Al/Si ratio of 1:1. These large amounts of Al had to be offered in the form of bis–tris-chelates in order to prevent uncontrolled precipitation. Under these conditions, the Al/Si ratio in the cell walls could be increased up to about 1:15 as determined by ICP-OES, the highest amount of aluminium found in diatom cell walls yet. Structural characterization of the biosilica by ATR-FTIR and solid-state 27Al NMR spectroscopy revealed that an amorphous aluminosilicate phase is formed where the aluminium exists as four- and sixfold-coordinated species.  相似文献

Drug-polymer microparticles produced by supercritical assisted atomization   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The supercritical assisted atomization (SAA) was proposed as a new technique to produce composite microparticles for drug controlled release. Ampicillin trihydrate and chitosan were selected as model drug and carrier, respectively, and 1% v/v acetic acid aqueous solution was used as solvent. The effect of the polymer/drug ratio on particle morphology and drug release rate was evaluated. SEM analysis indicated that non-coalescing spherical microparticles formed by chitosan/ampicillin were produced by SAA. All coprecipitates produced have a sharp particle distribution, with diameters ranging between about 0.1 and 6 microm. SAA composite microparticles were characterized by X-ray, DSC, EDX and UV-vis analysis. A solid solution of the chitosan and ampicillin was produced and a stabilizing effect of the polymer on the drug has resulted that protects ampicillin from thermal degradation. A prolonged release from SAA coprecipitates with respect to raw drug and physical mixtures of chitosan and ampicillin was obtained; moreover, the polymer/drug ratio has revealed to be a controlling parameter for drug release. Drug release mechanisms characteristic of swelling-controlled systems were observed, with ampicillin release depending on both relaxation and diffusive mechanisms. An empirical binomial equation was used to describe experimental data, showing a fair good agreement with ampicillin release data if both the relaxational and the diffusional parameters are function of the polymer/drug ratio.  相似文献

Aluminium (Al) toxicity is widely considered to be the most important growth-limiting factor for plants in strongly acid soils (pH<5.0). The inhibition of root elongation in three varieties of maize (Zea mays L. vars Clavito, HS701b and Sikuani) was followed over the first 48 h of Al treatment, and during the initial 10 h elongation was determined on an hourly basis. The silicon (Si)-induced amelioration of Al toxicity was investigated by pre-treating seedlings for 72 h in nutrient solutions with 1000 microM Si before transfer into solutions with 0, 20 or 50 microM Al (without Si). Plants were either grown in complete low ionic strength nutrient solutions (CNS) or in low salt solutions of 0.4 mM CaCl2 (LSS). In addition, the role of root exudation of organic compounds as a mechanism of Si-induced alleviation of Al toxicity was investigated. Aluminium-induced inhibition of root elongation in the maize var. HS701b was observed within 1 h of Al exposure. After a lag time of at least 8 h, Si-induced alleviation of Al toxicity was observed in this variety when grown in LSS. In the Al-resistant var. Sikuani, Al-resistance was only observed after exposure to 50 microM Al, and not after exposure to 20 microM Al, suggesting that there exists a threshold Al concentration before the mechanisms of Al resistance are activated. Aluminium stimulated root exudation of oxalic acid in all three varieties, but exudate concentrations did not increase with either Al resistance or with Si pretreatment. Aluminium and Si triggered release of catechol and of the flavonoid-type phenolics: catechin, and quercetin. In the Al-resistant variety, Sikuani, Al-exposed plants pretreated with Si exuded up to 15 times more phenolics than those plants not pretreated with Si. The flavonoid-type phenolics, to date unconsidered, appear to play a role in the mechanism(s) of Si-induced amelioration of Al toxicity.  相似文献

Metropolis Monte Carlo (MMC) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were performed to study the feasibility of synthesising Pt nanowires inside the pores of zeolites with the MOR framework, such as mordenite. Results show that the temperature, the silicon to aluminium ratio (Si/Al) of the zeolite and the Pt metal loading have an important combined effect on the positioning of Pt atoms inside the framework. MMC simulations indicate that low Si/Al and high metal loadings promote the positioning of Pt atoms inside the main pore channels, which are the places where metal nanowires could be formed. On the other hand, high Si/Al and low metal loadings favour the positioning of Pt atoms in the side pockets of the MOR structure. For Pt loadings of 5% (mol/mol), the guest metal atoms were positioned mainly in the main pore channels for all conditions studied. MD simulation results are in agreement with MMC simulations, showing that when Si/Al = ∞, the trend of single Pt atoms is to move towards the side pockets of the MOR framework, while for Si/Al = 5, the Pt atoms remain in the main pore channel of the structure. Temperature had the effect of increasing the mobility of Pt atoms through the MOR framework.  相似文献

Probing the adsorption of tetralin on zeolite is of prime scientific and industrial importance with the aim to upgrade the industrial process of tetralin cracking. In this work, the effect of Si/Al ratio ranging from 12 to 39 on tetralin adsorption property on Y zeolite is studied by DFT calculations. Tetralin adsorption on Y zeolite corresponds to a π-stacking adsorption mechanism between double bonds of aromatic ring and Brønsted acid sites. Therefore, the number of Brønsted acid sites influences the adsorption properties. Lower Si/Al ratio with more Brønsted acid sites interacting with the aromatic ring of tetralin leads to a higher adsorption energy. Furthermore, the charge and frontier molecular orbital analysis are also performed to understand the influence of Si/Al ratio on adsorption performance. Y zeolite with lower Si/Al ratio shows larger charge difference values and lower HOMO–LUMO gap, which directly manifests the stronger adsorption ability of tetralin and indicates bigger possibility of reacting.  相似文献

Birch pollen (Betula sp.) was treated with polluted air and the inorganic components of the pollen surface were analysed by different methods. By EDAX some particles were found to be composed of e.g., Si and S, or Al, Ca and Fe. The SIMS method indicated P, K, Si, Ca, Mg, Al, Na, Rb, Ba, Zn, Sr and B. ESCA seems to be more suitable for analysis of organic compounds, and only C, O, Si, and N could be detected.  相似文献

Different hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)/anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate (ADCP) matrix tablets have been developed aiming to evaluate the influence of both components ratio in the control release of a water-soluble drug (theophylline). In order to characterise the matrix tablets, swelling, buoyancy and dissolution studies have been carried out in different aqueous media (demineralised water, progressive pH medium, simulated gastric fluid, simulated intestinal fluid and simulated colonic fluid). The HPMC/ADCP ratio has turned out to be the determinant in the matrix behaviour: the HPMC characteristic swelling behaviour was modulated, in some cases, by the ADCP characteristic acidic dissolution. When the HPMC/ADCP ratio was ≥0.69, buoyancy, continuous swelling and low theophylline dissolution rate from the matrices (H1, H2 and H3) were observed in all dissolution media. Consequently, these formulations could be adequate as gastro-retentive drug delivery systems. Additionally, HPMC/ADCP ratio ≤0.11 (H5 and H6) induces a pH-dependent drug release which could be applied to design control drug release enteric formulations (with a suitable enteric coating). Finally, a HPMC/ADCP ratio between 0.11 and 0.69 (H4) yield a gastrointestinal controlled drug release, due to its time-dependent buoyancy (7 h) and a total drug delivery in 17 h in simulated colonic fluid.Key words: anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, matrix tablets, oral controlled release, theophylline  相似文献

In this study, we isolated and compared the weathering effectiveness and population of mineral-weathering bacteria from the rhizosphere and bulk soils of Morus alba grown in a mineral-rich soil. Eighty-four isolates could release Si, Al, K, and Fe from potash feldspar. Weathering effectiveness and pattern of the isolates differed between the rhizosphere and bulk soils. The proportion of the highly effective Si, Al, K, and Fe solubilizers was significantly higher in the rhizosphere soils than in the bulk soils. Notably, the proportion of the highly effective acid-producing isolates was also significantly higher in the rhizosphere soils. The 84 mineral-weathering isolates were affiliated with 15 bacterial genera. Distinct mineral-weathering genera were observed between the rhizosphere and bulk soils. The results suggested that the highly effective mineral-weathering bacteria were selected in the rhizosphere soils and the mineral-weathering bacteria from the rhizosphere and bulk soils might weather potash feldspar through different mechanisms.  相似文献

We have identified silicic acid (Si(OH)(4)) as an important modifier of the absorbance signal of aluminium measured by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS). The presence of Si(OH)(4) enhanced the signal by as much as 50%. The extent of the enhancement was dependent upon both [Al] and [Si(OH)(4)] and was maximal when [Al]< or =4.44 micromol dm(-3) and [Si(OH)(4)]> or =0.50 mmol dm(-3). The enhancement of the Al absorbance signal was not linearly related to [Si(OH)(4)] and the effect was, generally, saturated, for all [Al] tested, at [Si(OH)(4)]> or =0.50 mmol dm(-3). Si(OH)(4) was significantly more effective in enhancing the Al absorbance signal than Mg(NO(3))(2). However, the co-occurrence of 10 mmol dm(-3) Mg(NO(3))(2) and 2 mmol dm(-3) Si(OH)(4) in samples abolished the enhancement due to Si(OH)(4). The presence of Si(OH)(4) in samples could result in an overestimation of the Al content of those samples by as much as 50%. Errors in the measurement of Al in samples containing Si(OH)(4) could be prevented using matrix-matched calibration standards. Our observation could have serious implications for the determination of Al in aqueous samples of both geochemical and biological interest. It may also point towards the application of Si(OH)(4) as a novel and effective matrix modifier in the determination of Al by GFAAS since the inclusion of Si(OH)(4) in standards and samples improved the limit of detection of Al from ca 8 nmol dm(-3) to 3 nmol dm(-3).  相似文献

Previous studies have shown that aluminum (Al) could inhibit parathyroid function. However, controversy still remains about the possible mechanisms implicated. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the acute parathyroid hormone (PTH) response to intravenous Al infusion. Male Wistar rats were divided into two groups: Group A (n = 5): received 0.1 ml of saline. Group B (n = 5): received 0.5 mg of Cl3Al in 0.1 ml of saline. In both groups ionized calcium (Ca(+)+) decreased, but despite a similar degree of haemodilution, this change was only significant in group A. This variable Ca(+)+ decrease was followed by different responses in the PTH secretion. In group B there was a significantly (p less than 0.05) lower PTH release compared with control group. These results suggest that Al could directly inhibit the PTH secretion, and at the same time might exert an indirect effect on PTH release "blunting" the serum Ca(+)+ variations.  相似文献

A recombinant cutinase from Fusarium solani pisi was immobilized by adsorption on several zeolites and its activity towards the alcoholysis reaction of butyl acetate with hexanol, in organic media (isooctane), was measured as a function of the water content and water activity. The effects of the zeolite framework composition (including cation nature) and acidity were studied. The results were compared with other commonly used supports: polyamide Accurel-PA6, silica and alumina. Both the nature of the cation and the silica:alumina (Si:Al) ratio of the framework revealed to be important parameters. The most promising results were obtained for supports with little acidity and with lower Si:Al ratio. This last observation is in accordance with the results obtained with silica and alumina.  相似文献

Small molecule inhibitors against protein geranylgeranyltransferase-I such as P61A6 have been shown to inhibit proliferation of a variety of human cancer cells and exhibit antitumor activity in mouse models. Development of these inhibitors could be dramatically accelerated by conferring tumor targeting and controlled release capability. As a first step towards this goal, we have encapsulated P61A6 into a new type of liposomes that open and release cargos only under low pH condition. These low pH-release type liposomes were prepared by adjusting the ratio of two types of phospholipid derivatives. Loading of geranylgeranyltransferase-I inhibitor (GGTI) generated liposomes with average diameter of 50–100 nm. GGTI release in solution was sharply dependent on pH values, only showing release at pH lower than 6. Release of cargos in a pH-dependent manner inside the cell was demonstrated by the use of a proton pump inhibitor Bafilomycin A1 that Increased lysosomal pH and inhibited the release of a dye carried in the pH-liposome. Delivery of GGTI to human pancreatic cancer cells was demonstrated by the inhibition of protein geranylgeranylation inside the cell and this effect was blocked by Bafilomycin A1. In addition, GGTI delivered by pH-liposomes induced proliferation inhibition, G1 cell cycle arrest that is associated with the expression of cell cycle regulator p21CIP1/WAF1. Proliferation inhibition was also observed with various lung cancer cell lines. Availability of nanoformulated GGTI opens up the possibility to combine with other types of inhibitors. To demonstrate this point, we combined the liposomal-GGTI with farnesyltransferase inhibitor (FTI) to inhibit K-Ras signaling in pancreatic cancer cells. Our results show that the activated K-Ras signaling in these cells can be effectively inhibited and that synergistic effect of the two drugs is observed. Our results suggest a new direction in the use of GGTI for cancer therapy.  相似文献

Silicon (Si), as silicic acid, is suggested to be the natural antidote to aluminium (Al) toxicity, and was recently shown to promote the urinary excretion of Al from body stores. The metabolism of Si in man, however, remains poorly investigated. Here we report on the pharmacokinetics and metabolism of Si in healthy volunteers following ingestion of orthosilicic acid (27-55 mg/l Si) in water. We also investigated whether orthosilicic acid promotes the urinary excretion of endogenous Al. Minimum, median uptake of Si from the ingested dose was 50.3% (range: 21.9-74.7%, n = 8) based on urinary analysis following dosing. Significant correlations were observed between creatinine clearance and Si levels in serum or urine (r = 0.95 and 0.99, respectively). Renal clearance of Si was 82-96 ml/min suggesting high renal filterability. These results suggest that orthosilicic acid is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract of man and then readily excreted in urine. There was no significant increase in Al excretion, over 32 h, following ingestion of the orthosilicic acid dose (P = 0.5; n = 5).  相似文献
