该研究以生长在新疆北部的二型花柱植物雪地报春(Primula nivalis)为研究材料,对7个低海拔(1 657~2 013m)森林居群和7个高海拔(2 400~2 700m)草原居群的花型比例进行调查,对花部特征进行检测,并对长、短花柱植株在不同海拔居群的花性状分化进行了比较研究,以揭示该类群植物的演化与环境的关系。结果表明:(1)在高海拔草原居群中长花柱植株比例高于短花柱植株。(2)比较草原和森林生态系统中的雪地报春居群,长花柱花形态特征间存在显著差异,但短花柱花形态特征间的差异不显著。(3)高海拔草原居群中长花柱花的花冠筒长度、雄蕊长度、雌雄蕊距离、雌雄异位程度以及雌雄蕊空间位置是导致花性状分化的主要因素。(4)在草原居群中,长花柱花的雄蕊、雌雄异位程度及花冠口至雄蕊距离的变化减少了长短花柱花间的互补式对应性。研究认为,在异质生境中长花柱花性状的变化是导致该物种长短花柱花性状分化的主要因素。  相似文献

水淹和土壤养分是影响三峡库区消落带植物生长的主要环境因子。消落带不同高程的植物长期经历不同的淹水强度和土壤养分条件。该研究假设同一物种来自于消落带不同高程的植株可能产生性状分化, 从而对根部淹水和土壤养分变化具有不同的生长和繁殖响应策略。为了验证以上假设, 选取在三峡库区消落带高低高程均广泛分布的物种水蓼(Polygonum hydropiper)为研究对象, 采集自然种群的种子。在温室同质园条件下, 研究了根部水淹和土壤养分提升对高低高程水蓼植株生长和繁殖特性的影响。研究结果表明根部水淹显著或趋于显著降低了水蓼植株功能叶的叶长、叶宽、总分枝数、叶生物量、花生物量和总生物量; 低养分处理显著或趋于显著降低了水蓼植株的总节数、总分枝数、根生物量、花生物量和总生物量, 表明根部水淹和低土壤养分对水蓼的生长和繁殖能力具有抑制作用。同时, 根部水淹和土壤养分的交互作用显著影响植株的根生物量, 表明根部水淹条件下高土壤养分更有利于植株根生物量的积累。高高程植株的根生物量和叶生物量显著或趋于显著高于低高程植株, 而低高程植株的始花时间早于高高程植株, 且繁殖分配也显著高于高高程植株, 表明高低高程水蓼植株对资源的分配策略不同。该研究结果表明水蓼的生长和繁殖特性受根部水淹和土壤养分共同限制, 但对根部水淹条件下高土壤养分生境具有较好的适应性; 同时, 低高程植株可以通过调整其生长和繁殖特性以提高对所处生境胁迫的适应性。  相似文献

Pollinator shift and its influence on floral traits have been well documented to explain the diversity of angiosperms, but such effects are still less known at the intraspecific level, especially the responses of different morphs of distylous plants. We hypothesized that the pollen transfer efficiency would decrease if the pollinator shifted from a long-tongued to short-tongued insect across populations, and plants would evolve towards selfing in response to the stressed pollination environment. Given the gender specialization between flower morphs, the long styled (L-morph) plants would increase female reproduction. Our study showed that the short-tongued Bombus tianshanicus, the most-visit pollinator in high elevation populations of distylous Primula nivalis, was less efficient in pollen transfer than long-tongued Bombylius major. The plants evolved to promote selfing through reducing the anther–stigma separation and increasing intramorph self-compatibility. The hand pollination experiment showed that after intramorph selfing, the fruit set and seed set increased with increasing elevation. Moreover, anther and stigma were closer in the L-morph than in the short styled (S-morph) plants, and the L-morphs showed higher pollen transfer efficiency than the S-morphs. Along with increased self-compatibility, the fruit set and seed set of L-morph plants were significantly higher than those of S-morph plants. We described the pollinator shifts along an elevation gradient in a distylous plant and the response of plants by promoting selfing, which confirmed our hypothesis and supported the pollinator-shift model. Our study also highlighted the different response in self-compatibility between flower morphs.  相似文献

提高繁殖输出是入侵植物成功入侵的重要机制,但不同生境间繁殖器官性状变异特征尤其是性状权衡关系可能会存在差异。以入侵植物北美车前(Plantago virginica)为研究对象,采集草坪、荒地和林下3个生境的植物花序,探究花穗及花序柄的形态、生物量及其异速生长关系在不同生境间的差异性。结果表明:不同生境北美车前大部分花序形态与生物量指标存在显著差异,草坪和荒地生境花序属细长型,而林下生境则为矮壮型。北美车前繁殖器官不同性状间的异速生长关系既有保守型也有易变型,体现出不同的环境敏感性。不同生境间北美车前繁殖器官资源分配的个体大小依赖关系也存在不一致性。可见,北美车前花序性状及资源分配在不同生境间既存在一定的可塑性也具有相对保守性,这可能是其高入侵能力的重要原因。  相似文献

芦苇叶片功能性状的空间变化反映克隆植物的资源分配格局,而其与土壤环境因子的耦合关系体现了克隆植物对异质环境的生态适应策略。本研究以中国西北内陆湿地克隆植物芦苇为对象,分析了湿生生境、盐沼生境、荒漠生境条件下芦苇叶片功能性状及其对土壤环境因子的响应。结果表明: 从湿生生境到荒漠生境,芦苇叶片C、N、P含量分别下降7.2%、40.0%、64.1%,N、P利用效率增加,芦苇叶长、叶宽、叶面积、叶干重、比叶面积和叶厚度均表现出减小趋势。芦苇叶片功能性状间存在协同变化的特征,比叶面积与叶片营养元素表现出显著相关关系。土壤容重、盐分和水分分别是驱动湿生生境、盐沼生境和荒漠生境芦苇叶片功能性状变异的最重要的环境因子。  相似文献

竹类植物是一类以木本为主的克隆植物,凭借表型可塑性的优势,对异质生境具有很强适应能力。然而,目前对竹类植物表型可塑性的实现方式及其异质生境适应对策未见系统总结,从而在一定程度上限制了竹类生态学的发展。从形态可塑性、选择性放置、克隆整合和克隆分工等4个方面对竹类植物的表型可塑性研究进行分析和梳理,结果表明:竹类植物在异质生境中具有明显的表型可塑反应,主要采用形态可塑性、选择性放置和克隆整合来适应异质生境,而克隆分工的普遍性仍有待验证;目前侧重于研究构件形态和生物量分配格局,而很少深入探讨形态、生理和行为等可塑性机理。今后竹类植物表型可塑性研究重点在于:1)克隆整合的格局与机理;2)克隆整合对生态系统的影响;3)克隆分工的形成及其与环境关系;4)表型可塑性的等级性及环境影响;5)不同克隆构型的表型可塑性特征及其内在机制。  相似文献

植物性状是植物对环境变化响应和适应的综合反映。目前对苔藓植物个体水平功能性状的研究较为匮乏。以安徽大龙山国家森林公园分布的东亚小金发藓(Pogonatum inflexum)雌株为例,在其孢子体成熟期测定地上部分孢子体和配子体的形态特征及生物量,系统分析了植株性状变异特征、异速生长关系及协变(整合)格局。结果表明,东亚小金发藓配子体形态性状变异性高于孢子体,且二者生物量变异系数最大。孢子体高度是配子体的2倍,但其生物量仅占地上部分的23%。孢子体和配子体功能性状之间有一定相关性;形态性状(Y)与生物量(X)之间多为指数<1.0异速生长关系,而孢子体和配子体生物量之间为等速生长关系(指数为1.135±0.158)。孢子体生物量分配比例随个体增大而显著减小,体现出显著的负的个体大小依赖。主成分分析表明,东亚小金发藓孢子体和配子体主要个体性状具有不同的协变方向(即两个不同的性状群),其中孢子体生物量是两类性状群的关键结点。综合来看,东亚小金发藓个体性状间具有与维管植物相似的协变关系。  相似文献

植物的花部性状在异质环境中表现出不均一的适应性进化, 其自然变异可能在时空格局上呈现一定的规律性。选择同一物种的不同地理居群进行花部表型变异分析, 能揭示花部性状随地理梯度的变异模式。海仙花报春(Primula poissonii)属于典型的二型花柱植物, 依赖昆虫传粉实现严格的型间异交。该物种广布于横断山地区亚高山-高山草甸, 其分布海拔跨度大且花部性状在种内具有较高变异, 但这些变异在不同地理梯度(海拔梯度和经纬度梯度)的特定选择因子作用下的变化规律尚不清楚。本研究选择海仙花报春16个居群, 对8个花部关键性状和二型花柱繁殖器官的互补度与海拔和经纬度的关系进行研究, 探究花部性状随地理梯度变异的模式及其潜在的选择因素。研究表明, 海仙花报春两种花型的花冠管开口大小、花药高度以及短柱花柱头高度与海拔均呈正相关, 但两种花型的花冠大小, 长柱花的花瓣长度、柱头到花冠管开口的距离, 以及短柱花的花冠管长度与海拔高度间均呈负相关, 其余性状与海拔无显著相关性。除短柱花中柱头高度以外的性状均随着纬度升高而逐渐减小。长柱花中除花药和柱头间的距离以及柱头到开口的距离外, 其余性状均随着经度的增加而减小; 短柱花的花瓣长度、花药高度以及花药和柱头间的距离随着经度的增加而变大, 其余性状均随着经度的增加而减小。繁殖器官间的互补度并不随地理环境的变化而变化。花部性状的地理变异可能受访花昆虫组成的地理变化驱动。繁殖器官间互补程度的高度保守表明非选型交配在居群二态性的维持和稳定过程中起关键作用。本研究为进一步深入开展报春花属(Primula)花部性状及其选择压力的地理变异研究奠定了基础。  相似文献

黑果枸杞(Lycium ruthenicum)是中国西北地区极端环境中分布的国家二级保护植物, 该物种在新疆南部的自然种群中出现了同型花柱类型(同位花)和柱头探出式雌雄异位类型(异位花)个体, 并且遭遇沙尘暴频繁的种群中异位花个体出现频率减少。该研究对喀什市自然种群中黑果枸杞两种不同花型植株的花部综合征和传粉特性进行比较研究, 以期探讨该物种不同花型植株在南疆早春极端环境中的花部特征的可塑性及其适应性机制。结果表明: 同位花雌雄蕊高度间无显著差异, 而异位花雌蕊高度显著高于雄蕊; 同位花花冠直径、花冠筒长、胚珠数均高于异位花, 而异位花雌雄蕊空间距离、花粉数及花粉胚珠比均比同位花高。黑果枸杞同位花个体比例(68%)高于异位花个体(32%), 种群水平及个体水平同位花花期((117.00 ± 2.25) d, (101.65 ± 1.98) d)比异位花((26.00 ± 1.00) d, (18.75 ± 1.00) d)长, 而单花水平上异位花单花寿命((4.50 ± 0.14) d)比同位花((3.13 ± 0.11) d)长。两种类型花在花早期(紫色)分泌的花蜜量均高于花后期(白色)。在紫色花阶段(花开放早期), 同位花上的主要传粉者意大利蜜蜂、熊蜂和食蚜蝇的访花频率和停留时间均高于异位花; 而白色花阶段(花开放后期)意大利蜜蜂、熊蜂在异位花上的访花频率比同位花高。在不同花色阶段, 同位花柱头花粉落置数、花粉移出率、花粉传递效率均比异位花高, 并且同位花自然坐果率及结籽率均比异位花高。在新疆南部的沙尘暴极端环境下, 同位花通过较高的自交亲和性保障繁殖, 而异交为主的异位花提高了异交率。异位花与同位花在花部综合征和花报酬上的差异, 是影响其繁殖成功的主要因素。  相似文献

高山林线对环境变化具有高度的敏感性, 但林线形成机制仍然没有明确的结论。为了检验高山林线形成是由碳限制还是生长限制决定, 并探讨林线树种适应高山环境的生理生态机制, 选择山西省吕梁山脉北端芦芽山, 沿3个海拔梯度测定了林线树种白杄(Picea meyeri)各组织非结构性碳水化合物(NSC)及其组分含量。结果表明: 白杄总体及各组织NSC含量均随海拔升高而增加, 林线树木不存在碳限制; 白杄NSC源、汇均随海拔升高而增加, 源-汇比在3个海拔之间没有差异, 表明源-汇平衡关系对海拔的适应性, 林线树木碳源活动没有受到限制; 各组织中可溶性糖与淀粉的比值随海拔升高呈增大趋势, 说明树木生长的环境越寒冷, 树木组织中表现出越明显的保护策略, 也可能暗示林线区域的树木更多地受到生长限制。研究结果在一定程度上支持“生长限制”假说。  相似文献

利用实验生态学方法,对攀缘生长与伏地生长的薇甘菊(Mikania micrantha)的形态特征、生物量分配和繁殖特征进行了比较研究。结果表明:在潮湿生境条件下,攀缘生长的植株与伏地生长的植株相比对主茎的生物量投资较大,而对分枝茎的生物量投资则相对较小;但在干旱生境条件下,攀缘生长的植株对主茎和分枝茎的生物量投资均较伏地生长的植株小。在潮湿与干旱生境中,攀缘植株的繁殖投资分别为0.429g·g-1和0.342g·g-1,显著高于相同生境中的伏地植株。在薇甘菊种群的补充与更新过程中,攀缘生长的植株以有性生殖占主导地位,在潮湿与干旱生境中产生的个体分别占种群数量的84.7%和62.6%;伏地生长的植株则主要以无性(克隆)繁殖为主,在潮湿与干旱生境中有性生殖产生的个体仅占种群数量的40.4%和35.9%。生长方式与土壤水分二因子互作效应对薇甘菊的生物量分配和繁殖指标影响均达到显著水平(P〈0.05)。通过研究得出以下结论:不同生长方式的薇甘菊对环境条件具有不同的生长与繁殖适应对策。  相似文献

Knowledge of developmental pathways for achieving differences in style and anther heights, in concert with those of ancillary features accompanied with data in regard to biomass investment to male and female function, provide an excellent opportunity for examining the developmental correlations between primary and ancillary floral traits so as to understand the evolution of heterostyly. The ontogenetic relationships between bud length and anther height and between bud length and style height, and between bud length versus bud width, anther length, and number of pollen grains per anther for long-styled (LS) and short-styled (SS) morphs of P. PADIFOLIA are described. We also described the ontogenetic biomass allocation to male and female function and to corolla with elongation of buds harvested at regular intervals. We observed an early termination of stylar growth in SS buds, whereas LS styles steadily increased in size. Morph differences for relative growth rates were significant for anther height, anther length, and pollen number but not for bud width. Bud width and anther length had a negative allometric relationship with bud elongation. The relationship between bud length and number of pollen grains per anther was positive and morph differences in pollen number were detected at later stages of development. An increase in corolla mass involved a disproportionate allocation to the female function in SS flowers and male allocation was similar for the two morphs over the course of development. Our results are consistent with theoretical and empirical data for distylous species with an approach herkogamous ancestor, and with the more general hypothesis of ontogenetic lability of heterostyly, in which morph differences in style and anther heights are achieved in various ways. Variations observed in sexual investment between floral morphs suggest differences in sex expression during flower development.  相似文献

Empirical evidence indicates that fast-growing species generallydisplay a higher degree of selective root placement in heterogeneousenvironments than slow-growing species. Such root foraging isaccomplished by root morphological responses, but since somemorphological responses are simply the result of enhanced growthof the roots in the enriched patch it is difficult to separatethe effects of root foraging and growth rate on the biomassaccumulation of species in heterogeneous environments. Herea simple model is presented to disentangle these effects. Rootforaging is incorporated as the selective allocation of rootbiomass per unit time to the nitrogen-rich patch. Growth ratedifferences among the model plants result from differences innitrogen utilization efficiency. In the model, the degree ofselective root placement can be varied independently of growthrate. The model shows that when plants are compared at a commonpoint in time, selective root placement and growth rate interactpositively with respect to the enhancement of plant biomassaccumulation in heterogeneous compared to homogeneous environments.However, by evaluating the model at a common plant biomass,the main and interactive effects of growth rate are eliminated.These results suggest that growth rate by itself does not conferan advantage in terms of resource acquisition and biomass accumulationin heterogeneous environments. Only the selective placementof resource acquiring structures (such as roots) leads to suchbenefits. The essential differences between foraging and growth,as well as the consequences of differences in foraging abilityand growth rate between species on competition for a limitedresource, are discussed. Leaf and flower oil terpene composition and several plant morphological characteristics of 17 Mentha × verticillata hybrids were analysed during two growing seasons (1988 and 1989). The data obtained were used to study the phenotypic plasticity, the genotypic variation and the genetic variation for phenotypic plasticity. All plants showed high leveis of phenotypic plasticity for both oil chemical and morphometrical parameters. Higher degrees of genotypic variation were found among the plants for oll components while a higher phenotypic plasticity was observed for morphological parameters. Temperatures and rainfall data were collected during the growing seasons and correlated to the data obtained from plant oil and morphology. Low levels of phenotypic plasticity and high degrees of genotypic variation were found to form outliers in the population of M. x verticillata hybrids. The results obtained confirm a significant effect of environmental conditions on the physiology and morphology of the genus Mentha.  相似文献

作为高山生态系统中的奠基种(foundation species), 垫状植物自身种群的繁殖与扩张, 对高山生态系统功能稳定性起着关键作用。但是, 垫状植物如何在极端环境条件下实现资源的有效利用与分配, 达到繁殖最优化, 至今鲜为人知。该研究在滇西北白马雪山沿海拔梯度选择具有不同坡度及坡向的5个团状福禄草(Arenaria polytrichoides)种群, 调查、比较种群内、种群间以及具有不同性系统的植株个体之间的开花面积比、开花方位, 并分析不同生态因子对其开花特性的影响。结果表明: 随着海拔的升高, 团状福禄草个体变小, 其分配到开花的资源比例总体上随海拔上升呈现下降的趋势, 说明团状福禄草的繁殖分配受到由海拔所引起的生态因子的调控。但是, 部分低海拔种群内植物个体的繁殖分配显著低于部分高海拔种群, 说明海拔并非控制植物繁殖分配的唯一因素。此外, 植株开花总面积随植株个体增大而增加, 但开花面积比却随个体增大而变小, 说明植株分配到开花的资源增长速率可能低于植株个体的增长速率。在性别差异方面, 两性植株对开花的资源分配比例要显著高于雌性植株, 但是, 其差异程度受到海拔因素的影响。最后, 在同一种群内, 团状福禄草在冠层表面不同方位上的开花面积比存在显著差异性, 这种差异性在不同种群之间又具有不同的表现形式。  相似文献

The population characteristics of distylous species are highly sensitive to stochastic natural selection pressure.Therefore,populations growing under different environmental conditions may vary in floral morph ratios,potentially affecting female fitness and leading to inbreeding depression.However,the variation in offspring quality among populations as a result of inbreeding depression is poorly understood in distylous species.This study investigates variations in plant density,seed mass,seed viabilityfemale fitness,and post-dispersal inbreeding depression in both sexual morphs(long-styled and shortstyled plants)of the distylous Primula nivalis that were subjected to different pollination treatments along an elevational gradient from 1657 to 2704 m a.s.l.Population characteristics(morph plant density and ratio)and fruit set were significantly affected by sexual morph and elevation.Plant density and fruitset frequencies were lower for short-styled than for long-styled plants at 2704 m a.s.l.The seeds from the cross-pollinated flowers of both morphs were higher in quality than those of self-pollinated flowers.The female fitness of seeds from cross-pollinated flowers of both morphs was higher than that of seeds from open-pollinated and self-pollinated flowers.The female fitness of seeds from long-styled flowers was higher than that of seeds from short-styled flowers at all elevations.Inbreeding depression increased with elevation among plants with short-styled flowers but not among those with long-styled flowers.Variation in the elevation-dependent mating system might influence female fitness and affect inbreeding depression in both floral morphs.In conclusion,the low quality of seeds from short-styled flowers at high elevations might decrease short-styled flower frequency,affecting population characteristics.  相似文献

Aims As foundation species in the alpine ecosystems, the reproduction and recruitment of alpine cushion plants are very important for sustaining the alpine ecosystem functions. However, it still remains unclear that how cushion plants effectively allocate resources to optimize reproductive fitness.Methods Here we selected five populations of a gynodioecious herb Arenaria polytrichoides with different exposures and slopes along an altitudinal gradient on the Baima snow mountain in northwest Yunnan, southwest China, to investigate and compare flowering area and positions, within and among populations and between female and hermaphroditic morphs. By doing so, we further discuss how the environmental stresses affect the cushion’s flowering attributes thus the population-level reproduction.Important findings The results showed that, individual plant size and resources allocated to flowering (flowering area %) both decreased with increasing elevation, indicating that the reproductive allocation strategy was significantly affected by elevation. However, a population at lower elevation showed lower reproductive investment than higher populations, suggesting that elevation was not the only factor affecting the cushion’s reproductive allocation. In addition, absolute flowering area increased with increasing individual size, but the flowering area ratio decreased, indicating that the increases in reproductive allocation are fewer than that in vegetative allocation. Hermaphroditic individuals invested more resources to flowering than females did, but again, such effect was affected by elevation. Moreover, within a single population, the flowering areas were significantly different among the four directions (east, south, west and north) within one single individual canopy, but such differences varied in different populations.  相似文献

分析遮荫条件下黄檗幼苗形态指标、生理指标和代谢物质性别间差异,探讨其对遮荫的响应策略,为黄檗野生资源保护及造林抚育提供理论依据。以2年生黄檗雌雄株幼苗为试验材料,采用控制实验,设置3个遮荫梯度,自然光为对照,对比研究遮荫条件下黄檗幼苗雌雄植株形态特征、生物量分配、抗氧化防御酶活性、代谢物质的差异,以揭示其遮荫条件下的生存策略。结果表明:遮荫处理更有利于黄檗的生长,轻度遮荫雌株生物量积累大于雄株,重度遮荫后雄株大于雌株;遮荫处理对叶绿素a、总叶绿素含量均有显著影响(P<0.01),性别间差异不显著,遮荫条件有利于促进黄檗幼苗叶绿素积累;遮荫处理对酶活性和MDA含量均有显著影响,性别间差异不显著,SOD酶活性均随遮荫强度的增强而增大,POD和CAT酶活性随遮荫强度的增强而减小,MDA含量在对照处理时最高;遮荫条件下可溶性糖和可溶性淀粉含量下降,性别间差异不显著。黄檗幼苗通过改变构件性状、生物量、抗氧化酶活性及代谢物质含量,适应遮荫环境。研究遮荫对黄檗生长和生理响应的性别差异,以期为遮荫环境下黄檗个体发育、种群形成、适应机制及种群繁衍等研究奠定基础,为雌雄异株植物资源的保护利用提供科学借鉴。  相似文献
