Worldwide efforts are underway to develop new antimicrobial agents against bacterial resistance. To identify new compounds with a good antimicrobial profile, we designed and synthesized two series of small cationic antimicrobial peptidomimetics (1–8) containing unusual arginine mimetics (to introduce cationic charges) and several aromatic amino acids (bulky moieties to improve lipophilicity). Both series were screened for in vitro antibacterial activity against a representative panel of Gram‐positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis) and Gram‐negative (Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae) bacterial strains, and Candida albicans. The biological screening showed that peptidomimetics containing tryptophan residues are endowed with the best antimicrobial activity against S. aureus and S. epidermidis in respect to the other synthesized derivatives (MIC values range 7.5–50 µg/ml). Moreover, small antimicrobial peptidomimetics derivatives 2 and 5 showed an appreciable activity against the tested Gram‐negative bacteria and C. albicans. The most active compounds (1–2 and 5–6) have been tested against Gram‐positive established biofilm, too. Results showed that the biofilm inhibitory concentration values of these compounds were never up to 200 µg/ml. The replacement of tryptophan with phenylalanine or tyrosine resulted in considerable loss of the antibacterial action (compounds 3–4 and 7–8) against both Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacterial strains. Furthermore, by evaluating hemolytic activity, the synthesized compounds did not reveal cytotoxic activities, except for compound 5. The in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities of the compounds synthesised from some 1,2,3,5-tetrahalogeno benzenes in presence of sodium piperidide and sodium pyrrolidide (2,6-dipiperidino-1,4-dihalogenobenzenes; 2,6-dipyrrolidino-1,4-dibromobenzene; 2,4,6-tripyrrolidino chlorobenzene; and 1,3-dipyrrolidino benzene) were investigated. The in vitro antimicrobial activities were screened against the standard strains: Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633 as Gram positive, Yersinia enterocolitica ATCC 1501, Escherichia coli ATCC 11230 and Klebsiella pneumoniae as Gram negative, and Candida albicans as yeast-like fungus. Compounds (3, 5, 6, 7) inhibited the growth of all the test strains at MIC values of 32–512 μg/ml. None of the four compounds (1, 2, 4, 8) studied showed antimicrobial activity against any of the test strains within the MIC range 0.25–512 μg/ml.  相似文献

Hepcidin is a cysteine‐rich peptide widely characterized in immunological processes and antimicrobial activity in several vertebrate species. Obviously, this hormone plays a central role in the regulation of systemic iron homeostasis. However, its role in camelids' immune response and whether it is involved in antibacterial immunity have not yet been proven. In this study, we characterized the Arabian camel hepcidin nucleotide sequence with an open reading frame of 252 bp encoding an 83‐amino acid preprohepcidin peptide. Eight cysteine key residues conserved in all mammalian hepcidin sequences were identified. The model structure analysis of hepcidin‐25 peptide showed a high homology structure and sequence identity to the human hepcidin. Two different hepcidin‐25 analogs manually synthesized by SPPS shared significant cytotoxic capacity toward the Gram‐negative bacterium Escherichia coli American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) 8739 as well as the Gram‐positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis ATCC 11779 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 in vitro. The three disulfide bridges hepcidin analog demonstrated bactericidal activity, against B. subtilis ATCC 11779 and S. aureus ATCC 6538 strains, at the concentration of 15 μM (50 µg/ml) or above at pH 6.2. This result correlates with the revealed structural features suggesting that camel hepcidin is proposed to be involved in antibacterial process of innate immune response. Lysozyme from egg white was modified by covalent attachment of an oleyl group to the free amino groups of lysozyme. The aim of the chemical modification was to develop an effective antimicrobial lysozyme derivative against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Lysozyme with various degrees of modification was obtained by changing oleoyl chloride/lysozyme mass ratio. Lysozyme derivatives evidently exhibited an antimicrobial effect against Escherichia coli (ATCC 29998). The modification slightly changed the antimicrobial effect of lysozyme derivative against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 121002). Since there was a positive correlation between the modification degree and the antimicrobial effect against E. coli, it was concluded that the change in antimicrobial behavior was due to an increase in hydrophobicity of the enzyme molecule enabling it to penetrate through the bacterial membrane of E. coli. It was also shown that oleoyl chloride with an MIC value of 10 mg/mL was effective against both E. coli and S. aureus.  相似文献

A bacterial strain with a high level of antimicrobial activity was isolated from soil and identified as Bacillus megaterium. Production of antibiotics by nine strains of this species from the collection of the State Research Institute for Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms was investigated. In submerged cultures, nine out of ten B. megaterium strains were found to produce antibacterial antibiotics differing in their spectra of action. Physicochemical characteristics of five compounds were described. Three of them belonged to peptide antibiotics. All five compounds were active against the methicillin-resistant strain Staphylococcus aureus INA 00761. Three of them were shown to be the previously undescribed compounds. Antibiotics produced by various B. megaterium strains were also active against the Leuconostoc mesenteroides VKPM B-4177 strain resistant to glycopeptide antibiotics and against gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 and Escherichia coli ATCC 25922.  相似文献

The antimicrobial activity of two serine derived gemini cationic surfactants, amide (12Ser)2CON12 and ester (12Ser)2COO12, was tested using sensitive, E. coli ATCC 25922 and S. aureus ATCC 6538, and resistant, E. coli CTX M2, E. coli TEM CTX M9 and S. aureus ATCC 6538 and S. aureus MRSA ATCC 43300 Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria strains. Very low MIC values (5 μM) were found for the two resistant strains E.coli TEM CTX M9 and S. aureus MRSA ATCC 43300, in the case of the amide derivative, and for S. aureus MRSA ATCC 43300, in the case of the ester derivative. The interaction of the serine amphiphiles with lipid-model membranes (DPPG and DPPC) was investigated using Langmuir monolayers. A more pronounced effect on the DPPG than on the DPPC monolayer was observed. The effect induced by the surfactants on bacteria membrane was explored by Atomic Force Microscopy. A clear disruption of the bacteria membrane was observed for E. coli TEM CTX M9 upon treatment with (12ser)2CON12, whereas for the S. aureus MRSA few observable changes in cell morphology were found after treatment with either of the two surfactants. The cytotoxicity of the two compounds was assessed by hemolysis assay on human red blood cells (RBC). The compounds were shown to be non-cytotoxic up to 10 μM. Overall, the results reveal a promising potential, in particular of the amide derivative, as antimicrobial agent for two strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria.  相似文献

Proteins and lipids maybe important targets of oxidation and this may alter their functions. We evaluated whether ceftazidima (CAZ), piperacillin (PIP), chloramphenicol (CMP), and ciprofloxacin (CIP) could oxidize the macromolecules in the three bacterial genera Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. There was an increase in lipid peroxidation observed in these three species. However, this was lower in the Gram negative bacteria than in S. aureus. A reduction of the carbonyl residue in S. aureus with ciprofloxacin was observed whereas in Gram negative bacteria the antibiotics increased the carbonyl residue with respect to the control. Although the strains suffered a rise in advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) in the presence of ciprofloxacin, the S. aureus strain had a smaller increase of AOPP than the other strains. The results described in this article provide data about the susceptibility of the three bacterial genera to the oxidative stress induced by the antibiotics studied.  相似文献

Quinoxaline is a chemical compound that presents a structure that is similar to quinolone antibiotics. The present work reports the study of the antimicrobial activity of quinoxaline N,N-dioxide and some derivatives against bacterial and yeast strains. The compounds studied were quinoxaline-1,4-dioxide (QNX), 2-methylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide (2MQNX), 2-methyl-3-benzoylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide (2M3BenzoylQNX), 2-methyl-3-benzylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide (2M3BQNX), 2-amino-3-cyanoquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide (2A3CQNX), 3-methyl-2-quinoxalinecarboxamide-1,4-dioxide (3M2QNXC), 2-hydroxyphenazine-N,N-dioxide (2HF) and 3-methyl-N-(2-methylphenyl)quinoxalinecarboxamide-1,4-dioxide (3MN(2MF)QNXC). The prokaryotic strains used were Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, S. aureus ATCC 6538P, S. aureus ATCC 29213, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, E. coli S3R9, E. coli S3R22, E. coli TEM-1 CTX-M9, E. coli TEM-1, E. coli AmpC Mox-2, E. coli CTX-M2 e E. coli CTX-M9. The Candida albicans ATCC 10231 and Saccharomyces cerevisiae PYCC 4072 were used as eukaryotic strains. For the compounds that presented activity using the disk diffusion method, the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was determined. The alterations of cellular viability were evaluated in a time-course assay. Death curves for bacteria and growth curves for S. cerevisiae PYCC 4072 were also accessed. The results obtained suggest potential new drugs for antimicrobial activity chemotherapy since the MIC's determined present low values and cellular viability tests show the complete elimination of the bacterial strain. Also, the cellular viability tests for the eukaryotic model, S. cerevisiae, indicate low toxicity for the compounds tested.  相似文献

Antibiotic resistance presents a real problem in which new antibacterial molecules from natural secretions could be beneficial in the development of new drugs. In this study, Cerastes cerastes venom was investigated for its antibacterial activity against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria. The antibacterial activity was evaluated by measuring the halo inhibition and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). An l ‐amino acid oxidase (CcLAAO) was purified from this venom using three chromatographic steps; its homogeneity (60 kDa) was confirmed by SDS‐PAGE. LC–MS/MS analysis of CcLAAO showed similarities with other LAAO enzymes from Echis ocellatus and Viridovipera stejnegeri venoms. CcLAAO presents an antibacterial activity against three bacterial strains (Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin‐resistant S. aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) with MIC values of 10, 10, and 20 μg/mL, respectively. However, no effect was observed against Escherichia coli and yeast strains. Kinetic parameters of CcLAAO evaluated on l ‐leucine at pH 8.0 and 20°C were Km = 0.06 mmol and Vmax = 164 mmol/min.  相似文献

The development and world-wide spread of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria have a high concern in the medicine, especially the extended-spectrum of beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). There are currently very limited effective antibiotics to treat infections caused by MDR bacteria. Peat-soil is a unique environment in which bacteria have to compete each other to survive, for instance, by producing antimicrobial substances. This study aimed to isolate bacteria from peat soils from South Kalimantan Indonesia, which capable of inhibiting the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Isolates from peat soil were grown and identified phenotypically. The cell-free supernatant was obtained from broth culture by centrifugation and was tested by agar well-diffusion technique against non ESBL-producing E. coli ATCC 25922, ESBL-producing E. coli ATCC 35218, methicillin susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) ATCC 29,213 and MRSA ATCC 43300. Putative antimicrobial compounds were separated using SDS-PAGE electrophoresis and purified using electroelution method. Antimicrobial properties of the purified compounds were confirmed by measuring the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC). In total 28 isolated colonies were recovered; three (25PS, 26PS, and 27PS) isolates produced proteins with strong antimicrobial activities against both reference strains. The substance of proteins from three isolates exerted strong antimicrobial activity against ESBL-producing E. coli ATCC 35,218 (MIC = 2,80 µg/mL (25PS), 3,76 µg/mL (26PS), and 2,41 µg/mL (27PS), and MRSA ATCC 43,300 (MIC = 4,20 µg/mL (25PS), 5,65 µg/mL (26PS), and 3,62 µg/mL (27PS), and also had the ability bactericidal properties against the reference strains. There were isolates from Indonesian peat which were potentials sources of new antimicrobials.  相似文献

Sixteen novel depsides were synthesized for the first time. Their chemical structures were clearly determined by 1H NMR, ESI mass spectra, and elemental analyses. All the compounds were assayed for antibacterial activities against three Gram-positive bacterial strains (Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, and Streptococcus faecalis ATCC 9790) and three Gram-negative bacterial strains (Escherichia coli ATCC 35218, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 13525, and Enterobacter cloacae ATCC 13047) by the MTT method. Compound 2-(2-methoxy-2-oxoethyl)phenyl 5-bromonicotinate (5) exhibited significant antibacterial activities against E. coli ATCC 35218 with an MIC of 0.78 μg/mL, which was superior to the positive control kanamycin B. In addition, compound 5 showed potent inhibitory activity against E. coli-induced interleukin-8 production.  相似文献

UyCT peptides are antimicrobial peptides isolated from the venom of the Australian scorpion. The activity of the UyCT peptides against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria and red blood cells was determined. The membrane interactions of these peptides were evaluated by dye release (DR) of the fluorophore calcein from liposomes and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC); and their secondary structure was determined by circular dichroism (CD). Three different lipid systems were used to mimic red blood cells, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus membranes. UyCT peptides exhibited broad spectrum antimicrobial activity with low MIC for S. aureus and multi-drug resistant Gram negative strains. Peptide combinations showed some synergy enhancing their potency but not hemolytic activity. The UyCT peptides adopted a helical structure in lipid environments and DR results confirmed that the mechanism of action is by disrupting the membrane. ITC data indicated that UyCT peptides preferred prokaryotic rather than eukaryotic membranes. The overall results suggest that UyCT peptides could be pharmaceutical leads for the treatment of Gram negative multiresistant bacterial infections, especially against Acinetobacter baumanni, and candidates for peptidomimetics to enhance their potency and minimize hemolysis. Aims: To study the antimicrobial activity of naringin (NAR), a flavonoid extracted from citrus industry waste, and NAR derivatives [naringenin (NGE), prunin and alkyl prunin esters] against pathogenic bacteria such as L. monocytogenes, E. coli O157:H7 and S. aureus. The relationship between the structure of the chemical compounds and their antagonistic effect was also analysed. Methods and Results: The agar dilution technique and direct contact assaying were applied. NGE, prunin and NAR showed no antimicrobial activity at a concentration of 0·25 mmol l?1. Similarly, fatty acids with a chain length between C2 and C18 showed no antimicrobial activity at the same concentration. However, prunin‐6″‐O‐acyl esters presented high antibacterial activity, mainly against Gram‐positive strains. This activity increased with increasing chain length (up to 10–12 carbon atoms). Alkyl prunin esters with 10–12 carbon atoms diminished viability of L. monocytogenes by about 3 log orders and S. aureus by 6 log orders after 2 h of contact at 37°C and at a concentration of 0·25 mmol l?1. The compounds examined were not effective against any of the Gram‐negative strains assayed, even at the highest concentration. Conclusions: Addition of sugars to the aglycone did not enhance its antimicrobial activity. Attachment of a saturated aliphatic chain with 10–12 carbon atoms to the A ring of the flavonoid (or to sugars attached to this ring), seems to be the most promising modification. In conclusion, alkyl prunin esters with a chain length of C10–C12 have promising features as antimicrobial agents because of their high antilisterial and antistaphylococcal activity. Significance and Impact of the Study: This study shows that it is possible to obtain NAR derivatives with important antimicrobial activity, especially against Gram‐positive pathogenic bacteria. It also provides guidelines on the structural modifications in similar molecules to enhance the antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Objective

The increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections led to identify alternative strategies for a novel therapeutic approach. In this study, we synthesized ten carvacrol codrugs – obtained linking the carvacrol hydroxyl group to the carboxyl moiety of sulphur-containing amino acids via an ester bond – to develop novel compounds with improved antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities and reduced toxicity respect to carvacrol alone.

Method

All carvacrol codrugs were screened against a representative panel of Gram positive (S. aureus and S. epidermidis), Gram negative (E. coli and P. aeruginosa) bacterial strains and C. albicans, using broth microdilution assays.

Findings

Results showed that carvacrol codrug 4 possesses the most notable enhancement in the anti-bacterial activity displaying MIC and MBC values equal to 2.5 mg/mL for all bacterial strains, except for P. aeruginosa ATCC 9027 (MIC and MBC values equal to 5 mg/mL and 10 mg/mL, respectively). All carvacrol codrugs 1-10 revealed good antifungal activity against C. albicans ATCC 10231. The cytotoxicity assay showed that the novel carvacrol codrugs did not produce human blood hemolysis at their MIC values except for codrugs 8 and 9. In particular, deepened experiments performed on carvacrol codrug 4 showed an interesting antimicrobial effect on the mature biofilm produced by E. coli ATCC 8739, respect to the carvacrol alone. The antimicrobial effects of carvacrol codrug 4 were also analyzed by TEM evidencing morphological modifications in S. aureus, E. coli, and C. albicans.

Conclusion

The current study presents an insight into the use of codrug strategy for developing carvacrol derivatives with antibacterial and antibiofilm potentials, and reduced cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Various semen extender formulas are in use to maintain sperm longevity and quality whilst acting against bacterial contamination in liquid sperm preservation. Aminoglycosides are commonly supplemented to aid in the control of bacteria. As bacterial resistance is increasing worldwide, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) received lively interest as alternatives to overcome multi-drug resistant bacteria. We investigated, whether synthetic cationic AMPs might be a suitable alternative for conventional antibiotics in liquid boar sperm preservation. The antibacterial activity of two cyclic AMPs (c-WWW, c-WFW) and a helical magainin II amide analog (MK5E) was studied in vitro against two Gram-positive and eleven Gram-negative bacteria. Isolates included ATCC reference strains, multi-resistant E. coli and bacteria cultured from boar semen. Using broth microdilution, minimum inhibitory concentrations were determined for all AMPs. All AMPs revealed activity towards the majority of bacteria but not against Proteus spp. (all AMPs) and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213 (MK5E). We could also demonstrate that c-WWW and c-WFW were effective against bacterial growth in liquid preserved boar semen in situ, especially when combined with a small amount of gentamicin. Our results suggest that albeit not offering a complete alternative to traditional antibiotics, the use of AMPs offers a promising solution to decrease the use of conventional antibiotics and thereby limit the selection of multi-resistant strains.  相似文献

This study investigates whether the B chain of β‐bungarotoxin exerted antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli (Gram‐negative bacteria) and Staphylococcus aureus (Gram‐positive bacteria) via its membrane‐damaging activity. The B chain exhibited a growth inhibition effect on E. coli but did not show a bactericidal effect on S. aureus. The B‐chain bactericidal action on E. coli positively correlated with an increase in membrane permeability in the bacterial cells. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) layer destabilization and lipoteichoic acid (LTA) biosynthesis inhibition in the cell wall increased the B‐chain bactericidal effect on E. coli and S. aureus. The B chain induced leakage and fusion in E. coli and S. aureus membrane‐mimicking liposomes. Compared with LPS, LTA notably suppressed the membrane‐damaging activity and fusogenicity of the B chain. The B chain showed similar binding affinity with LPS and LTA, whereas LPS and LTA binding differently induced B‐chain conformational change as evidenced by the circular dichroism spectra. Taken together, our data indicate that the antibacterial action of the B chain is related to its ability to induce membrane permeability and suggest that the LPS‐induced and LTA‐induced B‐chain conformational change differently affects the bactericidal action of the B chain. Kephir is a fermented carbonated refreshing milk, with a slightly acidic aromatic taste and creamy foam composition which contains lactobacilli, leuconostocci, acetic acid bacteria, lactostreptococci and yeasts. Recent studies have demonstrated its antibacterial, immunostimulating, antitumoral and cholesterol-lowering activities.

Purpose

The purpose of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial activity of kephir against Bacillus subtilis spp. spizizenii ATCC 6633, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Escherichia coli ATCC 8739, Salmonella enteritidis ATCC 13076, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027 and Candida albicans ATCC 10231. The kephir fermented for 24 h and 48 h, as well and after 7 days preservation at 4–8 °C was tested by in vitro disk diffusion method. The intensity of the antimicrobial activity was interpreted by comparison with two antibiotics, i.e. ampicillin and neomycin.

Results

The antimicrobial activity of 24 h as well as 48 fermented kephir, fresh or after 7 days preservation at 4–8 °C was similar and observed against B. subtilis, S. aureus, E. coli, E. faecalis and S. enteritidis. For E. coli, E. faecalis and S. enteritidis the antimicrobial activity was superior to both tested antibiotics and for B. subtilis and S. aureus to one antibiotic. The tested products exhibited no activity against P. aeruginosa and C. albicans.

Conclusion

Kephir is exhibiting large spectrum and strong antibacterial activity probably due to the complex viable probiotic strains association producing antimicrobial substances.  相似文献

Copper oxide nanomaterials were synthesized by a facile sustainable biological method using two plant species (Zanthoxylum armatum DC. and Berberis lycium Royle ). The formation of materials was confirmed by FT‐IR, ATR, UV‐visible, XRD, TEM, SEM, EDX, TGA and PL. The antibacterial activity was evaluated by agar well diffusion method to ascertain the efficacy of plant species extract and extract derived copper oxide nanomaterials against six Gram‐positive bacteria namely Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus pyogenes, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Corynebacterium xerosis, Bacillus cereus and four Gram‐negative bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumonia, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus vulgaris against the standard drug, Ciprofloxacin for Gram‐positive and Gentamicin for Gram‐negative bacteria, respectively. In both cases, copper oxide nanomaterials were found to be sensitive in all the bacterial species. Sensitivity of copper oxide nanomaterials shows an be higher as compared to plant species extract against different bacteria. Scavenging activity of plant extracts along with nanomaterials have been accessed using previously reported protocols employing ascorbic acid as standard. Scavenging activity of copper oxide nanomaterials shows an increase with increase in concentration. The biological activity (bactericidal and scavenging efficiency) of plant derived copper oxide nanomaterials revealed that these materials can be used as potent antimicrobial agent and DPPH scavengers in industrial as well as pharmacological fields.  相似文献

Aims: The aim of this study was to determine the antimicrobial and antiadhesive properties of a biosurfactant isolated from Lactobacillus paracasei ssp. paracasei A20 against several micro‐organisms, including Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi. Methods and Results: Antimicrobial and antiadhesive activities were determined using the microdilution method in 96‐well culture plates. The biosurfactant showed antimicrobial activity against all the micro‐organisms assayed, and for twelve of the eighteen micro‐organisms (including the pathogenic Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Streptococcus agalactiae), the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) were achieved for biosurfactant concentrations between 25 and 50 mg ml?1. Furthermore, the biosurfactant showed antiadhesive activity against most of the micro‐organisms evaluated. Conclusions: As far as we know, this is the first compilation of data on antimicrobial and antiadhesive activities of biosurfactants obtained from lactobacilli against such a broad group of micro‐organisms. Although the antiadhesive activity of biosurfactants isolated from lactic acid bacteria has been widely reported, their antimicrobial activity is quite unusual and has been described only in a few strains. Significance and Impact of the Study: The results obtained in this study regarding the antimicrobial and antiadhesive properties of this biosurfactant opens future prospects for its use against micro‐organisms responsible for diseases and infections in the urinary, vaginal and gastrointestinal tracts, as well as in the skin, making it a suitable alternative to conventional antibiotics.  相似文献
