Metallic phase molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is well known for orders of magnitude higher conductivity than 2H semiconducting phase MoS2. Herein, for the first time, the authors design and fabricate a novel porous nanotube assembled with vertically aligned metallic MoS2 nanosheets by using the scalable solvothermal method. This metallic nanotube has the following advantages: (i) intrinsic high electrical conductivity that promotes the rate performance of battery and eliminates the using of conductive additive; (ii) hierarchical, hollow, porous, and aligned structure that assists the electrolyte transportation and diffusion; (iii) tubular structure that avoids restacking of 2D nanosheets, and therefore maintains the electrochemistry cycling stability; and (iv) a shortened ion diffusion path, that improves the rate performance. This 1D metallic MoS2 nanotube is demonstrated to be a promising anode material for lithium‐ion batteries. The unique structure delivers an excellent reversible capacity of 1100 mA h g?1 under a current density of 5 A g?1 after 350 cycles, and an outstanding rate performance of 589 mA h g?1 at a current density of 20 A g?1. Furthermore, attributed to the material's metallic properties, the electrode comprising 100% pure material without any additive provides an ideal system for the fundamental electrochemical study of metallic MoS2. This study first reveals the characteristic anodic peak at 1.5 V in cyclic voltammetry of metallic MoS2. This research sheds light on the fabrication of metallic 1D, 2D, or even 3D structures with 2D nanosheets as building blocks for various applications.  相似文献

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has been recognized as a promising anode material for high‐energy Li‐ion (LIBs) and Na‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its apparently high capacity and intriguing 2D‐layered structure. The low conductivity, unsatisfied mechanical stability, and limited active material utilization are three key challenges associated with MoS2 electrodes especially at high current rates and mass active material loading. Here, vertical MoS2 nanosheets are controllably patterned onto electrochemically exfoliated graphene (EG). Within the achieved hierarchical architecture, the intimate contact between EG and MoS2 nanosheets, interconnected network, and effective exposure of active materials by vertical channels simultaneously overcomes the above three problems, enabling high mechanical integrity and fast charge transport kinetics. Serving as anode material for LIBs, EG‐MoS2 with 95 wt% MoS2 content delivered an ultrahigh‐specific capacity of 1250 mA h g?1 after 150 stable cycles at 1 A g?1, which is among the highest values in all reported MoS2 electrodes, and excellent rate performance (970 mA h g?1 at 5 A g?1). Moreover, impressive cycling stability (509 mA h g?1 at 1 A g?1 after 250 cycles) and rate capability (423 mA h g?1 at 2 A g?1) were also achieved for SIBs. The area capacities reached 1.27 and 0.49 mA h cm?2 at ≈1 mA cm?2 for LIBs and SIBs, respectively. This work may inspire the development of new 2D hierarchical structures for high efficiency energy storage and conversion.  相似文献

The search for earth‐abundant and high‐performance electrode materials for sodium‐ion batteries represents an important challenge to current battery research. 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, particularly MoS2, have attracted increasing attention recently, but few of them so far have been able to meet expectations. In this study, it is demonstrated that another phase of molybdenum sulfide—amorphous chain‐like MoS3—can be a better choice as the anode material of sodium‐ion batteries. Highly compact MoS3 particles infiltrated with carbon nanotubes are prepared via the facile acid precipitation method in ethylene glycol. Compared to crystalline MoS2, the resultant amorphous MoS3 not only exhibits impressive gravimetric performance—featuring excellent specific capacity (≈615 mA h g?1), rate capability (235 mA h g?1 at 20 A g?1), and cycling stability but also shows exceptional volumetric capacity of ≈1000 mA h cm?3 and an areal capacity of >6.0 mA h cm?2 at very high areal loadings of active materials (up to 12 mg cm?2). The experimental results are supported by density functional theory simulations showing that the 1D chains of MoS3 can facilitate the adsorption and diffusion of Na+ ions. At last, it is demonstrated that the MoS3 anode can be paired with an Na3V2(PO4)3 cathode to afford full cells with great capacity and cycling performance.  相似文献

Tuning heterointerfaces between hybrid phases is a very promising strategy for designing advanced energy storage materials. Herein, a low‐cost, high‐yield, and scalable two‐step approach is reported to prepare a new type of hybrid material containing MoS2/graphene nanosheets prepared from ball‐milling and exfoliation of commercial bulky MoS2 and graphite. When tested as an anode material for a sodium‐ion battery, the as‐prepared MoS2/graphene nanosheets exhibit remarkably high rate capability (284 mA h g?1 at 20 A g?1 (≈30C) and 201 mA h g?1 at 50 A g?1 (≈75C)) and excellent cycling stability (capacity retention of 95% after 250 cycles at 0.3 A g?1). Detailed experimental measurements and density functional theory calculation reveal that the functional groups in 2D MoS2/graphene heterostructures can be well tuned. The impressive rate capacity of the as‐prepared MoS2/graphene hybrids should be attributed to the heterostructures with a low degree of defects and residual oxygen containing groups in graphene, which subsequently improve the electronic conductivity of graphene and decrease the Na+ diffusion barrier at the MoS2/graphene interfaces in comparison with the acid treated one.  相似文献

The fabrication of fully printable, flexible micro‐supercapacitors (MSCs) with high energy and power density remains a significant technological hurdle. To overcome this grand challenge, the 2D material MXene has garnered significant attention for its application, among others, as a printable electrode material for high performing electrochemical energy storage devices. Herein, a facile and in situ process is proposed to homogeneously anchor hydrous ruthenium oxide (RuO2) nanoparticles on Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets. The resulting RuO2@MXene nanosheets can associate with silver nanowires (AgNWs) to serve as a printable electrode with micrometer‐scale resolution for high performing, fully printed MSCs. In this printed nanocomposite electrode, the RuO2 nanoparticles contribute high pseudocapacitance while preventing the MXene nanosheets from restacking, ensuring an effective ion highway for electrolyte ions. The AgNWs coordinate with the RuO2@MXene to guarantee the rheological property of the electrode ink, and provide a highly conductive network architecture for rapid charge transport. As a result, MSCs printed from the nanocomposite inks demonstrate volumetric capacitances of 864.2 F cm?3 at 1 mV s?1, long‐term cycling performance (90% retention after 10 000 cycles), good rate capability (304.0 F cm?3 at 2000 mV s?1), outstanding flexibility, remarkable energy (13.5 mWh cm?3) and power density (48.5 W cm?3).  相似文献

In this work, a simple lignin‐based laser lithography technique is developed and used to fabricate on‐chip microsupercapacitors (MSCs) using 3D graphene electrodes. Specifically, lignin films are transformed directly into 3D laser‐scribed graphene (LSG) electrodes by a simple one‐step CO2 laser irradiation. This step is followed by a water lift‐off process to remove unexposed lignin, resulting in 3D graphene with the designed electrode patterns. The resulting LSG electrodes are hierarchically porous, electrically conductive (conductivity is up to 66.2 S cm?1), and have a high specific surface area (338.3 m2 g?1). These characteristics mean that such electrodes can be used directly as MSC electrodes without the need for binders and current collectors. The MSCs fabricated using lignin laser lithography exhibit good electrochemical performances, namely, high areal capacitance (25.1 mF cm?2), high volumetric energy density (≈1 mWh cm?3), and high volumetric power density (≈2 W cm?3). The versatility of lignin laser lithography opens up the opportunity in applications such as on‐chip microsupercapacitors, sensors, and flexible electronics at large‐scale production.  相似文献

A hybrid nanoarchitecture aerogel composed of WS2 nanosheets and carbon nanotube‐reduced graphene oxide (CNT‐rGO) with ordered microchannel three‐dimensional (3D) scaffold structure was synthesized by a simple solvothermal method followed by freeze‐drying and post annealing process. The 3D ordered microchannel structures not only provide good electronic transportation routes, but also provide excellent ionic conductive channels, leading to an enhanced electrochemical performance as anode materials both for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Significantly, WS2/CNT‐rGO aerogel nanostructure can deliver a specific capacity of 749 mA h g?1 at 100 mA g?1 and a high first‐cycle coulombic efficiency of 53.4% as the anode material of LIBs. In addition, it also can deliver a capacity of 311.4 mA h g?1 at 100 mA g?1, and retain a capacity of 252.9 mA h g?1 at 200 mA g?1 after 100 cycles as the anode electrode of SIBs. The excellent electrochemical performance is attributed to the synergistic effect between the WS2 nanosheets and CNT‐rGO scaffold network and rational design of 3D ordered structure. These results demonstrate the potential applications of ordered CNT‐rGO aerogel platform to support transition‐metal‐dichalcogenides (i.e., WS2) for energy storage devices and open up a route for material design for future generation energy storage devices.  相似文献

To develop a long cycle life and good rate capability electrode, 3D hierarchical porous α‐Fe2O3 nanosheets are fabricated on copper foil and directly used as binder‐free anode for lithium‐ion batteries. This electrode exhibits a high reversible capacity and excellent rate capability. A reversible capacity up to 877.7 mAh g?1 is maintained at 2 C (2.01 A g?1) after 1000 cycles, and even when the current is increased to 20 C (20.1 A g?1), a capacity of 433 mA h g?1 is retained. The unique porous 3D hierarchical nanostructure improves electronic–ionic transport, mitigates the internal mechanical stress induced by the volume variations of the electrode upon cycling, and forms a 3D conductive network during cycling. No addition of any electrochemically inactive conductive agents or polymer binders is required. Therefore, binder‐free electrodes further avoid the uneven distribution of conductive carbon on the current collector due to physical mixing and the addition of an insulator (binder), which has benefits leading to outstanding electrochemical performance.  相似文献

A facile approach to synthesize porous disordered carbon layers as energy storage units coating on graphene sheets to form interconnected frameworks by one‐step pyrolysis of the mixture of graphene oxide/polyaniline and KOH is presented. As effective energy storage units, these porous carbon layers play an important role in enhancing the electrochemical performances. The obtained porous carbon material exhibits a high specific surface area (2927 m2 g?1), hierarchical interconnected pores, moderate pore volume (1.78 cm3 g?1), short ion diffusion paths, and a high nitrogen level (6 at%). It displays both unparalleled gravimetric (481 F g?1) and outstanding volumetric capacitance (212 F cm?3) in an aqueous electrolyte. More importantly, the assembled symmetrical supercapacitor delivers not only high gravimetric (25.7 Wh kg?1 based on total mass of electroactive materials) but also high volumetric energy densities (11.3 Wh L?1) in an aqueous electrolyte. Furthermore, the assembled asymmetric supercapacitor yields a maximum energy density up to 88 Wh kg?1, which is, to the best of our knowledge, the highest value so far reported for carbon//MnO2 asymmetric supercapacitors in aqueous electrolytes. Therefore, this novel carbon material holds great promise for potential applications in energy‐related technological fields.  相似文献

Inspired by the great success of graphite in lithium‐ion batteries, anode materials that undergo an intercalation mechanism are considered to provide stable and reversible electrochemical sodium‐ion storage for sodium‐ion battery (SIB) applications. Though MoS2 is a promising 2D material for SIBs, it suffers from deformation of its layered structure during repeated intercalation of Na+, resulting in undesirable electrochemical behaviors. In this study, vertically oriented MoS2 on nitrogenous reduced graphene oxide sheets (VO‐MoS2/N‐RGO) is presented with designed spatial geometries, including sheet density and height, which can deliver a remarkably high reversible capacity of 255 mA h g?1 at a current density of 0.2 A g?1 and 245 mA h g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1, with a total fluctuation of 5.35% over 1300 cycles. These results are superior to those obtained with well‐developed hard carbon structures. Furthermore, a SIB full cell composed of the optimized VO‐MoS2/N‐RGO anode and a Na2V3(PO4)3 cathode reaches a specific capacity of 262 mA h g?1 (based on the anode mass) during 50 cycles, with an operated voltage range of 2.4 V, demonstrating the potentially rewarding SIB performance, which is useful for further battery development.  相似文献

Facile design of low‐cost and highly active catalysts from earth‐abundant elements is favorable for the industrial application of water splitting. Here, a simple strategy to synthesize an ultrathin molybdenum disulfide/nitrogen‐doped reduced graphene oxide (MoS2/N‐RGO‐180) nanocomposite with the enlarged interlayer spacing of 9.5 Å by a one‐step hydrothermal method is reported. The synergistic effects between the layered MoS2 nanosheets and N‐doped RGO films contribute to the high activity for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). MoS2/N‐RGO‐180 exhibits the excellent catalytic activity with a low onset potential of ?5 mV versus reversible hydrogen elelctrode (RHE), a small Tafel slope of 41.3 mV dec?1, a high exchange current density of 7.4 × 10?4 A cm?2, and good stability over 5 000 cycles under acidic conditions. The HER performance of MoS2/N‐RGO‐180 nanocomposite is superior to the most reported MoS2‐based catalysts, especially its onset potential and exchange current density. In this work, a novel and simple method to the preparation of low‐cost MoS2‐based electrocatalysts with the extraordinary HER performance is presented.  相似文献

The safety hazards and low Coulombic efficiency originating from the growth of lithium dendrites and decomposition of the electrolyte restrict the practical application of Li metal batteries (LMBs). Inspired by the low cost of low concentration electrolytes (LCEs) in industrial applications, dual‐salt LCEs employing 0.1 m Li difluorophosphate (LiDFP) and 0.4 m LiBOB/LiFSI/LiTFSI are proposed to construct a robust and conductive interphase on a Li metal anode. Compared with the conventional electrolyte using 1 m LiPF6, the ionic conductivity of LCEs is reduced but the conductivity decrement of the separator immersed in LCEs is moderate, especially for the LiDFP–LiFSI and LiDFP–LiTFSI electrolytes. The accurate Coulombic efficiency (CE) of the Li||Cu cells increases from 83.3% (electrolyte using 1 m LiPF6) to 97.6%, 94.5%, and 93.6% for LiDFP–LiBOB, LiDFP–LiFSI, and LiDFP–LiTFSI electrolytes, respectively. The capacity retention of Li||LiFePO4 cells using the LiDFP–LiBOB electrolyte reaches 95.4% along with a CE over 99.8% after 300 cycles at a current density of 2.0 mA cm?2 and the capacity reaches 103.7 mAh g?1 at a current density of up to 16.0 mA cm?2. This work provides a dual‐salt LCE for practical LMBs and presents a new perspective for the design of electrolytes for LMBs.  相似文献

Replacing organic liquid electrolyte with inorganic solid electrolytes (SE) can potentially address the inherent safety problems in conventional rechargeable batteries. However, solid‐state batteries (SSBs) have been plagued by the relatively low ionic conductivity of SEs and large charge‐transfer resistance between electrode and SE. Here, a new design strategy is reported for improving the ionic conductivity of SE by self‐forming a composite material. An optimized Na+ ion conducting composite electrolyte derived from the Na1+ n Zr2Si n P3? n O12 NASICON (Na Super Ionic Conductor) structure is successfully synthesized, yielding ultrahigh ionic conductivity of 3.4 mS cm?1 at 25 °C and 14 mS cm?1 at 80 °C. On the other hand, in order to enhance the charge‐transfer rate at the electrode/electrolyte interface, an interface modification strategy is demonstrated by utilization of a small amount of nonflammable and nonvolatile ionic liquid (IL) at the cathode side in SSBs. The IL acts as a wetting agent, enabling a favorable interface kinetic in SSBs. The Na3V2(PO4)3/IL/SE/Na SSB exhibits excellent cycle performance and rate capability. A specific capacity of ≈90 mA h g?1 is maintained after 10 000 cycles without capacity decay under 10 C rate at room temperature. This provides a new perspective to design fast ion conductors and fabricate long life SSBs.  相似文献

High energy density and power density within a limited volume of flexible solid‐state supercapacitors are highly desirable for practical applications. Here, free‐standing high‐quality 3D nanoporous duct‐like graphene (3D‐DG) films are fabricated with high flexibility and robustness as the backbones to deposit flower‐like MnO2 nanosheets (3D‐DG@MnO2). The 3D‐DG is the ideal support for the deposition of large amount of active materials because of its large surface area, appropriate pore structure, and negligible volume compared with other kinds of carbon backbones. Moreover, the 3D‐DG preserve the distinctive 2D coherent electronic properties of graphene, in which charge carriers move rapidly with a small resistance through the high‐quality and continuous chemical vapor deposition‐grown graphene building blocks, which results in a high rate performance. Marvelously, ultrathin (≈50 μm) flexible solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitors (ASCs) using 3D‐DG@MnO2 as the positive electrode and 3D hierarchical nanoporous graphene films as the negative electrode display ultrahigh volumetric energy density (28.2 mW h cm?3) and power density (55.7 W cm?3) at 2.0 V. Furthermore, as‐prepared ASCs show high cycle stability clearly demonstrating their broad applications as power supplies in wearable electronic devices.  相似文献

Advanced 2D materials have spurred great interest as a new paradigm in pursuing improved energy storage performance. Herein, for the first time, antimonene is utilized as an effective active component for constructing highly deformable and editable freestanding film electrodes, as the basis of a supercapacitor with record‐breaking electrode performance. The insertion of antimonene is able to improve the environmental stability of the antimonene/MXene composite electrode and remarkably enhance the energy storage capability in both protic and neutral electrolytes. Notably, an ultrahigh specific volumetric capacitance of 4255 F cm?3 is achieved by the electrode tested in a1 m H2SO4 electrolyte, which represents the state‐of‐the‐art value reported to date for supercapacitor electrodes based on MXenes. The flexible supercapacitors constructed by the composite electrode, also demonstrate highly competitive energy and power densities: 459.75 mWh cm?3 and 3.12 W cm?3 for the asymmetrical one with a much widened potential window of 2 V in neutral electrolyte; 112.52 mWh cm?3 and 1 W cm?3 for the symmetrical configuration with an outstanding capacitance of 1265 F cm?3 in acidic media. This work sheds new light on the fabrication of high‐performance supercapacitor electrodes with functionalities in different electrolyte media and various device configurations.  相似文献

Although solid polymer electrolytes have some intrinsic advantages in synthesis and film processing compared with inorganic solid electrolytes, low ionic conductivities and mechanical moduli hamper their practical applications in lithium‐based batteries. Here, an efficient strategy is developed to produce a unique solid polymer electrolyte containing MXene‐based mesoporous silica nanosheets with a sandwich structure, which are fabricated via controllable hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate around the surface of MXene‐Ti3C2 under the direction of cationic surfactants. Such unique nanosheets not only exhibit individual, thin, and insulated features, but also possess abundant functional groups in mesopores and on the surface, which are favorable for the formation of Lewis acid–base interactions with anions in polymer electrolytes such as poly(propylene oxide) elastomer, enabling the fast Li+ transportation at the mesoporous nanosheets/polymer interfaces. As a consequence, a solid polymer electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 4.6 × 10?4 S cm?1, high Young's modulus of 10.5 MPa, and long‐term electrochemical stability is achieved.  相似文献

While stretchable micro‐supercapacitors (MSCs) have been realized, they have suffered from limited areal electrochemical performance, thus greatly restricting their practical electronic application. Herein, a facile strategy of 3D printing and unidirectional freezing of a pseudoplastic nanocomposite gel composed of Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets, manganese dioxide nanowire, silver nanowires, and fullerene to construct intrinsically stretchable MSCs with thick and honeycomb‐like porous interdigitated electrodes is introduced. The unique architecture utilizes thick electrodes and a 3D porous conductive scaffold in conjunction with interacting material properties to achieve higher loading of active materials, larger interfacial area, and faster ion transport for significantly improved areal energy and power density. Moreover, the oriented cellular scaffold with fullerene‐induced slippage cell wall structure prompts the printed electrode to withstand large deformations without breaking or exhibiting obvious performance degradation. When imbued with a polymer gel electrolyte, the 3D‐printed MSC achieves an unprecedented areal capacitance of 216.2 mF cm?2 at a scan rate of 10 mV s?1, and remains stable when stretched up to 50% and after 1000 stretch/release cycles. This intrinsically stretchable MSC also exhibits high rate capability and outstanding areal energy density of 19.2 µWh cm?2 and power density of 58.3 mW cm?2, outperforming all reported stretchable MSCs.  相似文献

Lithium–sulfur batteries (LSBs) are currently considered as promising candidates for next‐generation energy storage technologies. However, their practical application is hindered by the critical issue of the polysulfide‐shuttle. Herein, a metal organic framework (MOF)‐derived solid electrolyte is presented to address it. The MOF solid electrolyte is developed based on a Universitetet i Oslo (UIO) structure. By grafting a lithium sulfonate (‐SO3Li) group to the UIO ligand, both the ionic conductivity and the polysulfide‐suppression capability of the resulting ‐SO3Li grafted UIO (UIOSLi) solid electrolyte are greatly improved. After integrating a Li‐based ionic liquid (Li‐IL), lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide in 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide, the resulting Li‐IL/UIOSLi solid electrolyte exhibits an ionic conductivity of 3.3 × 10?4 S cm?1 at room temperature. Based on its unique structure, the Li‐IL/UIOSLi solid electrolyte effectively restrains the polysulfide shuttle and suppresses lithium dendritic growth. Lithium–sulfur cells with the Li‐IL/UIOSLi solid electrolyte and a Li2S6 catholyte show stable cycling performance that preserves 84% of the initial capacity after 250 cycles with a capacity‐fade rate of 0.06% per cycle.  相似文献

Thin solid‐state electrolytes with nonflammability, high ionic conductivity, low interfacial resistance, and good processability are urgently required for next‐generation safe, high energy density lithium metal batteries. Here, a 3D Li6.75La3Zr1.75Ta0.25O12 (LLZTO) self‐supporting framework interconnected by polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) binder is prepared through a simple grinding method without any solvent. Subsequently, a garnet‐based composite electrolyte is achieved through filling the flexible 3D LLZTO framework with a succinonitrile solid electrolyte. Due to the high content of garnet ceramic (80.4 wt%) and high heat‐resistance of the PTFE binder, such a composite electrolyte film with nonflammability and high processability exhibits a wide electrochemical window of 4.8 V versus Li/Li+ and high ionic transference number of 0.53. The continuous Li+ transfer channels between interconnected LLZTO particles and succinonitrile, and the soft electrolyte/electrode interface jointly contribute to a high ambient‐temperature ionic conductivity of 1.2 × 10?4 S cm?1 and excellent long‐term stability of the Li symmetric battery (stable at a current density of 0.1 mA cm?2 for over 500 h). Furthermore, as‐prepared LiFePO4|Li and LiNi0.5Mn0.3Co0.2O2|Li batteries based on the thin composite electrolyte exhibit high discharge specific capacities of 153 and 158 mAh g?1 respectively, and desirable cyclic stabilities at room temperature.  相似文献

Fiber supercapacitors (FSCs) represent a promising class of energy storage devices that can complement or even replace microbatteries in miniaturized portable and wearable electronics. One of their main limitations, however, is the low volumetric energy density when compared with those of rechargeable batteries. Considering the energy density of FSC is proportional to CV2 (E = 1/2 CV2, where C is the capacitance and V is the operating voltage), one would explore high operating voltage as an effective strategy to promote the volumetric energy density. In the present work, an all‐solid‐state asymmetric FSC (AFSC) with a maximum operating voltage of 3.5 V is successfully achieved, by employing an ionic liquid (IL) incorporated gel‐polymer as the electrolyte (EMIMTFSI/PVDF‐HFP). The optimized AFSC is based on MnOx@TiN nanowires@carbon nanotube (NWs@CNT) fiber as the positive electrode and C@TiN NWs@CNT fiber as the negative electrode, which gives rise to an ultrahigh stack volumetric energy density of 61.2 mW h cm?3, being even comparable to those of commercially planar lead‐acid batteries (50–90 mW h cm?3), and an excellent flexibility of 92.7% retention after 1000 blending cycles at 90°. The demonstration of employing the ILs‐based electrolyte opens up new opportunities to fabricate high‐performance flexible AFSC for future portable and wearable electronic devices.  相似文献
