This study was designed to evaluate iVue Spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) effectiveness in screening for eye disease compared to clinical examination. Subjects were recruited from the Casey Eye Community Outreach Program Mobile Clinic during its routinely scheduled outreach clinics to indigent, underserved populations throughout Oregon. Macular optical coherence tomography interpretation and automated optical coherence tomography analysis were compared to the clinical examination, with specific attention to findings indicative of retinal abnormalities, risks for glaucoma, and narrow angles. As a result, a total of 114 subjects were included in this study. In diabetics, optical coherence tomography and clinical exam were in fair agreement (kappa = 0.39), with 22% of eyes having abnormal findings on macular optical coherence tomography and 26% of eyes having diabetic retinopathy or diabetic macular edema on fundus exam. In non-diabetics, optical coherence tomography and clinical exam were in fair agreement (kappa = 0.28), with 11% of eyes having abnormal findings on macular optical coherence tomography and 9% on fundus exam. Using optical coherence tomography ganglion cell complex and retinal nerve fiber layer analysis, 18% of eyes were found to be glaucoma suspects, whereas clinical exam of cup-to-disc ratio detected 8% and intraocular pressure 5%. Agreements between optical coherence tomography and other methods were poor (kappa < 0.11) for glaucoma suspect. Anterior segment optical coherence tomography of the angle found 8% of eyes to have occludable angles, whereas slit lamp and gonioscopy found 5% of eyes to have narrow angles, with moderate agreement (kappa = 0.57). In summary, optical coherence tomography detected additional retinal abnormalities, glaucoma suspects, and narrow angles compared to clinical exam alone and may serve as a useful adjunct to the clinical exam in screening for eye disease in a low-risk, medically underserved, ethnically diverse population.  相似文献

NMR of macromolecules is limited by large transverse relaxation rates. In practice, this results in low efficiency of coherence transfer steps in multidimensional NMR experiments, leading to poor sensitivity and long acquisition times. The efficiency of coherence transfer can be maximized by design of relaxation optimized pulse sequences using tools from optimal control theory. In this paper, we demonstrate that this approach can be adopted for studies of large biological systems, such as the 800 kDa chaperone GroEL. For this system, the 1H–15N coherence transfer module presented here yields an average sensitivity enhancement of 20–25% for cross-correlated relaxation induced polarization transfer (CRIPT) experiments.Supplementary material to this paper is available in electronic form at http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10858-005-3592-0  相似文献

Drawing on an idea proposed by Darwin, it has recently been hypothesized that violent intergroup conflict might have played a substantial role in the evolution of human cooperativeness and altruism. The central notion of this argument, dubbed ‘parochial altruism’, is that the two genetic or cultural traits, aggressiveness against the out-groups and cooperativeness towards the in-group, including self-sacrificial altruistic behaviour, might have coevolved in humans. This review assesses the explanatory power of current theories of ‘parochial altruism’. After a brief synopsis of the existing literature, two pitfalls in the interpretation of the most widely used models are discussed: potential direct benefits and high relatedness between group members implicitly induced by assumptions about conflict structure and frequency. Then, a number of simplifying assumptions made in the construction of these models are pointed out which currently limit their explanatory power. Next, relevant empirical evidence from several disciplines which could guide future theoretical extensions is reviewed. Finally, selected alternative accounts of evolutionary links between intergroup conflict and intragroup cooperation are briefly discussed which could be integrated with parochial altruism in the future.  相似文献

Summary The radial nerve cord ofMespilia globulus has been examined as an example of echinoid nerve cords. In the radius of echinoids only the ectoneural component of the nerve cord is present which is a derivative of the ectoderm. The nerve cord runs in the interior of the body and is accompanied by the epineural canal. In echinoids, the neuroepithelium makes up the upper and side walls of the epineural canal. Each lateral branch of the nerve cord forms a sort of neural tube. It encloses a branch of the epineural canal which represents an open connection with the sea water. Thus, the epineural canal exhibits numerous openings which probably allow sea water to flow back and forth. This organization is unique in echinoderms. — The neuroepithelium exhibits the organization of an epidermis with well-developed nervous elements. Glial cells are not present. The support cells are the true epithelial cells. Their monociliated cell bodies border the lumen and, by means of cytoplasmic stems that contain a bundle of filaments, they reach up to the basal lamina. The nerve cells and their trunk of nerve fibres fill the spaces between the support cells. — Three types of nerve cells can be distinguished according to their polarity: (1) Primary sensory cells that project a cilium into the epineural canal, the axon hillock region is at the opposite pole. (2) Subluminal cells whose cilium originates in the axon hillock region. (3) Neurones that lie within the trunk of nerve fibres. They are highly stretched in the direction of the nerve cord and are also provided with a cilium. Types 2 and 3 may be homologized with the basal nerve cells of the epidermis. They are possibly multipolar. — The lateral nerve cords make contact with the ampulla and pass the ambulacral plate parallel to the channel that connects the ampulla and the tube foot. The activity of the tube foot-ampulla system is possibly controlled by means of transmitter substances that diffuse through the connective tissue layer between the nerve cord and the myoepithelia of the ampulla and the tube foot respectively.  相似文献

Many efforts have been made to improve the diagnostic tools used to identify and to estimate the progress of ganglion cell and nerve fibre degeneration in glaucoma. Imaging by optical coherence tomography and measurements of the dimensions of the optic nerve head and the nerve fibre layer in central retinal areas is currently used to estimate the grade of pathological changes. The visualization and quantification of ganglion cells and nerve fibres directly in patients would dramatically improve glaucoma diagnostics. We have investigated the optical properties of cellular structures of retinal tissue in order to establish a means of visualizing and quantifying ganglion cells in the living retina without staining. We have characterized the optical properties of retinal tissue in several species including humans. Nerve fibres, blood vessels, ganglion cells and their cell processes have been visualized at high image resolution by means of the reflection mode of a confocal laser scanning microscope. The potential of adaptive optics in current imaging systems and the possibilities of imaging single ganglion cells non-invasively in patients are discussed.  相似文献

This experimental research aimed to investigate the effects of non-thermal plasma on nerve regeneration after transected nerve damage using the sciatic nerve in Wistar albino (A) rats. The experiments were performed on 27 Wistar A rats. The rats underwent surgery for right sciatic nerve exposure and were divided into three groups (each group, n = 9) according to sciatic nerve transected injury (SNTI) and non-thermal plasma application: a non-nerve damage (non-ND) group, a only nerve damage without non-thermal plasma application (ND) group, and a nerve damage with non-thermal plasma application (ND + NTP) group. Subsequent to SNTI and immediate suture, non-thermal plasma was administered three times per week for eight weeks. Evaluation for functional recovery was performed using the static sciatic index measured over the full treatment period of eight weeks. The sciatic nerve specimens were obtained after euthanasia and third day from the last non-thermal plasma application. The sciatic nerve tissues were subjected to histological analysis. Behavior analysis presented that the ND + NTP group showed improved static sciatic index compared with the nerve damage group. Histopathological findings demonstrated that the ND + NTP group had more dense Schwann cells and well-established continuity of nerve fibers, greater than the nerve damage group. Immunohistochemistry showed that the ND + NTP group had increased levels of markers for microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2), tau, S100 calcium-binding protein B, and neurofilament-200 and regulated the overexpression of CD68 and MAP2. These results indicated that non-thermal plasma enhanced the motor function and restored the neuronal structure by accelerating myelination and axonal regeneration. Additionally, non-thermal plasma was confirmed to have a positive effect on the recovery of SNTI in rats.  相似文献

The ability to transmit signals in the retina in the absence of impulses was tested by means of two agents (tetrodotoxin and procain) blocking the impulse transmission of stimuli. The slow potential (SP) and impulse discharge were recorded simultaneously from the optic nerve of the frog. Tetrodotoxin (0.5 µg/cm3) and procain (0.5–1%) introduced into the eye cup completely blocked impulses but had little effect on SP. Therefore, signals from the photoreceptors to the ganglionic cells can be transmitted in the absence of impulses. These data confirm also a conclusion drawn earlier that the SP originates as a result of electrotonic spread of the postsynaptic potentials (PSP) of ganglionic cells along the optic nerve. The agents blocking the impulse transmission of stimuli broke down the lateral inhibition between the "slow bipolars." Consequently, lateral inhibition spreads by means of the impulse mechanism in the transmission of signals. I provide a history of the Exon Theory of Genes, a theory that holds that introns are extremely ancient characteristics of genes and that early genes were created through the intron-mediated shuffling of exons. The theory has existed since the late seventies. An uncompromising version of the theory, in which all introns were considered to be ancient, dominated the early work. However, in the late eighties and early nineties evidence arose that at least some introns are more recently acquired. Due to the previously overly polarized nature of the debate, many results that demonstrated the existence of recent introns have been interpreted by some as evidence that all introns are late, leading some to believe that the theory is no longer a viable theory. However, recent work emphasizes a mixed model, in which some introns are ancient and some new. This model has proven to provide impressive explanatory power for a broad array of observations. Thus, this moderated form of the Exon Theory of Genes still offers a coherent picture of the origin and evolutionary history of the intron–exon structure of eukaryotic genes.  相似文献

Aim   Although parameter estimates are not as affected by spatial autocorrelation as Type I errors, the change from classical null hypothesis significance testing to model selection under an information theoretic approach does not completely avoid problems caused by spatial autocorrelation. Here we briefly review the model selection approach based on the Akaike information criterion (AIC) and present a new routine for Spatial Analysis in Macroecology (SAM) software that helps establishing minimum adequate models in the presence of spatial autocorrelation.
Innovation    We illustrate how a model selection approach based on the AIC can be used in geographical data by modelling patterns of mammal species in South America represented in a grid system ( n  = 383) with 2° of resolution, as a function of five environmental explanatory variables, performing an exhaustive search of minimum adequate models considering three regression methods: non-spatial ordinary least squares (OLS), spatial eigenvector mapping and the autoregressive (lagged-response) model. The models selected by spatial methods included a smaller number of explanatory variables than the one selected by OLS, and minimum adequate models contain different explanatory variables, although model averaging revealed a similar rank of explanatory variables.
Main conclusions    We stress that the AIC is sensitive to the presence of spatial autocorrelation, generating unstable and overfitted minimum adequate models to describe macroecological data based on non-spatial OLS regression. Alternative regression techniques provided different minimum adequate models and have different uncertainty levels. Despite this, the averaged model based on Akaike weights generates consistent and robust results across different methods and may be the best approach for understanding of macroecological patterns.  相似文献

The twist, rise, slide, shift, tilt and roll between adjoining base pairs in DNA depend on the identity of the bases. The resulting dependence of the double helix conformation on the nucleotide sequence is important for DNA recognition by proteins, packaging and maintenance of genetic material, and other interactions involving DNA. This dependence, however, is obscured by poorly understood variations in the stacking geometry of the same adjoining base pairs within different sequence contexts. In this article, we approach the problem of sequence-dependent DNA conformation by statistical analysis of X-ray and NMR structures of DNA oligomers. We evaluate the corresponding helical coherence length—a cumulative parameter quantifying sequence-dependent deviations from the ideal double helix geometry. We find, e.g. that the solution structure of synthetic oligomers is characterized by 100–200 Å coherence length, which is similar to ~150 Å coherence length of natural, salmon-sperm DNA. Packing of oligomers in crystals dramatically alters their helical coherence. The coherence length increases to 800–1200 Å, consistent with its theoretically predicted role in interactions between DNA at close separations.  相似文献

Coherence between the bioelectric activity of sensorimotor cortex and contralateral muscles can be observed around 20 Hz. By contrast, physiological tremor has a dominant frequency around 10 Hz. Although tremor has multiple sources, it is partly central in origin, reflecting a component of motoneuron discharge at this frequency. The motoneuron response to ∼20 Hz descending input could be altered by non-linear interactions with ∼10 Hz motoneuron firing. We investigated this further in eight healthy human subjects by testing the effects of the beta-adrenergic agents propranolol (non-selective β-antagonist) and salbutamol (β2-agonist), which are known to alter the size of physiological tremor. Corticomuscular coherence was assessed during an auxotonic precision grip task; tremor was quantified using accelerometry during index finger extension. Experiments with propranolol used a double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover design. A single oral dose of propranolol (40 mg) significantly increased beta band (15.3–32.2 Hz) corticomuscular coherence compared with placebo, but reduced tremor in the 6.2–11.9 Hz range. Salbutamol (2.5 mg) was administered by inhalation. Whilst salbutamol significantly increased tremor amplitude as expected, it did not change corticomuscular coherence. The opposite direction of the effects of propranolol on corticomuscular coherence and tremor, and the fact that salbutamol enhances tremor but does not affect coherence, implies that the magnitude of corticomuscular coherence is little influenced by non-linear interactions with 10 Hz oscillations in motoneurons or the periphery. Instead, we suggest that propranolol and salbutamol may affect both tremor and corticomuscular coherence partly via a central site of action.  相似文献

Why is he poor? Why is she failing academically? Why is he so generous? Why is she so conscientious? Answers to such everyday questions—social explanations—have powerful effects on relationships at the interpersonal and societal levels. How do people select an explanation in particular cases? We suggest that, often, explanations are selected based on the individual''s pre-existing general theories of social causality. More specifically, we suggest that over time individuals develop general beliefs regarding the causes of social events. We refer to these beliefs as social explanatory styles. Our goal in the present article is to offer and validate a measure of individual differences in social explanatory styles. Accordingly, we offer the Social Explanatory Styles Questionnaire (SESQ), which measures three independent dimensions of social explanatory style: Dispositionism, historicism, and controllability. Studies 1–3 examine basic psychometric properties of the SESQ and provide positive evidence regarding internal consistency, factor structure, and both convergent and divergent validity. Studies 4–6 examine predictive validity for each subscale: Does each explanatory dimension moderate an important phenomenon of social cognition? Results suggest that they do. In Study 4, we show that SESQ dispositionism moderates the tendency to make spontaneous trait inferences. In Study 5, we show that SESQ historicism moderates the tendency to commit the Fundamental Attribution Error. Finally, in Study 6 we show that SESQ controllability predicts polarization of moral blame judgments: Heightened blaming toward controllable stigmas (assimilation), and attenuated blaming toward uncontrollable stigmas (contrast). Decades of research suggest that explanatory style regarding the self is a powerful predictor of self-functioning. We think it is likely that social explanatory styles—perhaps comprising interactive combinations of the basic dimensions tapped by the SESQ—will be similarly potent predictors of social functioning. We hope the SESQ will be a useful tool for exploring that possibility.  相似文献

Levelt’s four propositions (L1–L4), which characterize the relation between changes in “stimulus strength” in the two eyes and percept alternations, are considered benchmark for binocular rivalry models. It was recently demonstrated that adaptation mutual-inhibition models of binocular rivalry capture L4 only in a limited range of input strengths, predicting an increase rather than a decrease in dominance durations with increasing stimulus strength for weak stimuli. This observation challenges the validity of those models, but possibly L4 itself is invalid. So far, L1–L4 have been tested mainly by varying the contrast of static stimuli, but since binocular rivalry breaks down at low contrasts, it has been difficult to study L4. To circumvent this problem, and to test if the recent revision of L2 has more general validity, we studied changes in binocular rivalry evoked by manipulating coherence of oppositely-moving random-dot stimuli in the two eyes, and compared them against the effects of stimulus contrast. Thirteen human observers participated. Both contrast and coherence manipulations in one eye produced robust changes in both eyes; dominance durations of the eye receiving the stronger stimulus increased while those of the other eye decreased, albeit less steeply. This is inconsistent with L2 but supports its revision. When coherence was augmented in both eyes simultaneously, dominance durations first increased at low coherence, and then decreased for further increases in coherence. The same held true for the alternation periods. The initial increase in dominance durations was absent in the contrast experiments, but with coherence manipulations, rivalry could be tested at much lower stimulus strengths. Thus, we found that L4, like L2, is only valid in a limited range of stimulus strengths. Outside that range, the opposite is true. Apparent discrepancies between contrast and coherence experiments could be fully reconciled with adaptation mutual-inhibition models using a simple input transfer-function.  相似文献

The goldfish retina has been used extensively for the study of nerve regeneration. A role for phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) in neurite outgrowth from goldfish retinal explants has been examined by means of wortmannin (WT), a selective inhibitor of the enzyme. The presence of PI3K in retinal extracts was determined by means of immunoprecipitation as well as by an in vitro assay system for catalytic activity. The relative amount of the p85 subunit of PI3K detected by western blot in the retina following optic nerve crush was unchanged. WT inhibited goldfish brain PI3K activity at concentrations as low as 10–9 M, approximating that reported for inhibition of mammalian PI3K's. Daily addition of 10–8 M WT to retinal explants, activated by prior crush of the optic nerve, significantly inhibited neurite outgrowth during a 7 day in vitro culture period, while a single addition of WT to freshly explanted retina had no effect on neurite outgrowth. These results suggest that a PI3K-mediated process may be critical for nerve regrowth.  相似文献

Purpose

To design a mathematical model that can predict the relationship between the ganglion cell complex (GCC) thickness and visual field sensitivity (VFS) in glaucoma patients.

Design

Retrospective cross-sectional case series.

Method

Within 3 months from VFS measurements by the Humphrey field analyzer 10-2 program, 83 eyes underwent macular GCC thickness measurements by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). Data were used to construct a multiple logistic model that depicted the relationship between the explanatory variables (GCC thickness, age, sex, and spherical equivalent of refractive errors) determined by a regression analysis and the mean VFS corresponding to the SD-OCT scanned area. Analyses were performed in half or 8 segmented local areas as well as in whole scanned areas. A simple logistic model that included GCC thickness as the single explanatory variable was also constructed. The ability of the logistic models to depict the real GCC thickness/VFS in SAP distribution was analyzed by the χ2 test of goodness-of-fit. The significance of the model effect was analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA).

Results

Scatter plots between the GCC thickness and the mean VFS showed sigmoid curves. The χ2 test of goodness-of-fit revealed that the multiple logistic models showed a good fit for the real GCC thickness/VFS distribution in all areas except the nasal-inferior-outer area. ANOVA revealed that all of the multiple logistic models significantly predicted the VFS based on the explanatory variables. Although simple logistic models also exhibited significant VFS predictability based on the GCC thickness, the model effect was less than that observed for the multiple logistic models.

Conclusions

The currently proposed logistic models are useful methods for depicting relationships between the explanatory variables, including the GCC thickness, and the mean VFS in glaucoma patients.  相似文献

Foundationalist theories of justification for science were undermined by the theory-ladeness thesis, which has affinities with coherentist epistemologies. A challenge for defenders of coherentist theories of scientific justification is to specify coherence relations relevant to science and to show how these relations make the truth of their bearers likely. Coherence relations include characteristics that pick out better explanations in the implementation of abductive arguments. Empiricist philosophers have attacked abductive reasoning by claiming that explanatory virtues are pragmatic, having no implications regarding truth. However, empiricist's basic beliefs are subject to the same challenges facing abduction, both of which can be met by citing causally coherent etiologies, which are commonplace in biological explanations, and by demonstrating the relevance of causal coherence to truth.  相似文献

In much of the discourse of evolutionary theory, reproduction is treated as an autonomous function of the individual organism — even in discussions of sexually reproducing organisms. In this paper, I examine some of the functions and consequences of such manifestly peculiar language. In particular, I suggest that it provides crucial support for the central project of evolutionary theory — namely that of locating causal efficacy in intrinsic properties of the individual organism. Furthermore, I argue that the language of individual reproduction is maintained by certain methodological conventions that both obscure many of the problems it generates and serve to actively impede attempts to redress those difficulties that can be identified. Finally, I suggest that inclusion of the complexities introduced by sexual reproduction — in both language and methodology — may radically undermine the individualist focus of evolutionary theory.I am indepted to the Rockefeller Foundation for a Humanities Fellowship that supported this research during the spring of 1986. A new theory for basic function in the nervous system has recently been proposed (Dempsher, J., 1979a, 1979b; 1980, 1981). The major basic themes of the new theory are as follows: (1) There are two fundamental units of structure and function, the fibre or conducting mechanism, and the neurocentre, where nervous system function as we know it takes place. (2) The nerve impulse is regarded as a mathematical event. The mathematics is the result of a prescribed fusion of energy and matter. (3) Nervous system function everywhere in the nervous system is mathematical. In the fibre, the prescribed fusion of energy and matter results in a number. In the neurocentre, the prescribed fusion of energy and matter results in a mathematical function. Basic function in the nervous system everywhere requires a transformation of a nerve impulse in the fibre into a nerve impulse in the neurocentre with opposing properties: The nerve impulse in the fibre is confined to the fibre; cannot sum with another nerve impulse; can travel long distances with constant form and velocity; curvature in space and time are not significant features; and it is regarded as a number. On the other hand, the nerve impulse in the neurocentre is confined to the neurocentre; can sum with other nerve impulses; cannot travel long distances - even in a very short distance, it changes form; curvature in space and time is a very significant feature; and it is regarded as a mathematical function.The approach to determine how one form of the nerve impulse is transformed into the other at the input region is based on two of the differences listed above: (1) The nerve impulse in the fibre cannot sum with another nerve impulse in the fibre, whereas in the neurocentre, several nerve impulses sum to form a larger nerve impulse. (2) The nerve impulse in the fibre is regarded as a number, in the neurocentre, it is regarded as a mathematical function. The commonality of (1) and (2) is that the properties defining the nerve impulse in the fibre are associated with the property ofdiscreteness, whereas, the properties defining the nerve impulse in the neurocentre are associated with the property ofcontinuousness. Thus, the basic theme of unification of function at the input region of the neurocentre is the transformation of a phenomenon with the property of discreteness into a phenomenon with the property of continuousness. The solution to this transformation is approached from two directions:biologic andmathematical. In the biologic approach, the unit element of the nerve impulse in the fibre terminations (as.u. as a wave of energy, a spike in the classical theory) fuses with a. calcium-binding protein causing the release of Ca++. The calcium ions then combine with another protein. Associated with the second reaction is a conformational change in the Ca++-protein complex and the unit element in the neurocentre, bs.u., is emitted. Individual bs.u. then fuse with acetylcholine; summation occurs andwave b is emitted. In the mathematical approach, the nerve impulse as a number, is partitioned into two numbers with a precise rule relating these two numbers. One possibility suggested is that the number can be regarded as the value of a trigonometric function. This value then gives rise to an angle with sides related in a ratio or proportionality fashion — a relationship with the property of continuousness, as contrasted with that of a single number, discreteness. Both biologic and mathematical approaches are united so as to suggest that the mathematical (trigonometric) function arose as the result of a fusion of energy (as.u. as a wave of energy) and the calcium-binding protein as matter; following this reaction, bs.u., with opposing properties, is emitted.  相似文献

Electrical properties of the membrane and sensitivity of the fibers to acetylcholine were investigated in the frog sartorius muscle after denervation and a single application of colchicine to the nerve. After both types of procedure the electrical properties showed similar changes and extrasynaptic sensitivity to acetylcholine appeared. No such changes took place in the fibers of the contralateral muscle. Injection of colchicine into the lymphatic sac did not affect the electrical properties of the membrane, but widened the zone of sensitivity to acetylcholine. The results are regarded as further evidence in support of the view that denervation-like changes after application of colchicine to the motor nerve, when the transmission of excitation of nerve to muscle is preserved, are the result of a disturbance of the supply of neurotrophic substances along the axon by means of axoplasmic transport.Kazan' Medical Institute. We have studied the process of neurulation within the anterior trunk region of the zebrafish by means of serial sectioning of staged embryos and labelling cells by applications of the dye Dil and intracellular injections of fluoresceine dextran amine. The first morphological manifestation of the prospective neural plate is a dorsomedial ectodermal thickening which becomes visible immediately after gastrulation. Within 1–2 h, by the time somatogenesis begins, two bilaterally symmetrical thickenings have appeared more laterally, which eventually fuse with the medial thickening to form the neural keel. The central canal forms next by separation of the cells on either side of the midline of the neural keel, beginning ventrally at the 17-somite stage and progressing towards dorsal levels. By means of fluorescent dye labelling in the late gastrula, we found that both the medial and lateral thickenings contribute to the nerve cord. The medial thickening was found to contain, exclusively, neural progenitor cells from the 90–100% epiboly stage on, whereas the adjacent regions contained a mixture of neural and epidermal progenitor cells, as well as prospective neural crest cells. Between the 90–100% epiboly and 2-somite stages, this heterogeneity of developmental capabilities is resolved into territories, with epidermogenic and neurogenic cells clearly separated from each other. To achieve this segregation into neural and epidermal anlagen, cells from the lateral thickenings have to move over a distance of roughly 400 m within 1–2 h. Epidermal overgrowth of the nerve cord occurs during the morphogenetic movements that accompany nerve cord formation. Correspondence to: J.A. Campos-Ortega  相似文献
